In this episode, we'll uncover the deep and nourishing medicine of Astragalus root (Astragalus membranaceus), an ancient Chinese herb cherished for over 2,000 years. Astragalus is considered an "upper-tier" herb—highly revered for its potency and effectiveness. As a clinical herbalist, I often turn to this sweet, warming root to support those experiencing depletion, lowered immunity, depression, or metabolic sluggishness. It's also a powerful ally for nurturing the immune system, adrenals, and gut health. Together, we'll explore the historical and modern uses of Astragalus and why it's an ideal herb for the winter months, wildfire smoke exposure, and boosting overall vitality and longevity. I'll share my favorite dosing tips, ways to incorporate it into daily life, and how it can be safely used in the context of autoimmune conditions. Whether you're feeling run down or simply seeking extra nourishment this season, Astragalus might just be the perfect herbal ally for you! ————  MY ONLINE COURSES

Chinese herbal medicine is one of my top recommendations for fertility and beyond. In China it is more revered than acupuncture for its effectiveness in treating a myriad of issues. I observed doctor in Beijing who documented the shrinking of cancerous tumors using only Chinese herbal formulations. Similarly, I studied famous TCM gynecologists who used herbs to effectively treat fertility and other womanly challenges. But don't just take my word for it, besides the over 3000 years of documented clinical trials, scientific research is also mounting. Dr. Thomas Leung, pharmacist, Chinese Medicine Doctor and CEO of Kamwo Herbal Pharmacy in NYC joins us in todays episode to discuss how herbal medicine works to improve your body chemistry and treat the root of the issue as opposed to just alleviating symptoms. Not only do we discuss the benefits, but we also address many popular questions surrounding the purity, cost and legitimacy of Chinese herbal medicine. You'll Learn: The benefits of chinese herbal medicineHow herbs are manufacture & deemed safe for distributionWhy traditional chinese medicine is growing in popularityThe various forms of herbal medicine and the difference in concentration. Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! There are several medications available in the market but Natural medicine is one of the best gifts that we have received from nature - proof of that is the story of Radical Roots, Dr. Chloe and her child, Remy.Chloe currently has a private practice in NYC seeing patients in Manhattan and Bellmore. Working with Remy has lead Chloe to extensively study integrative neurology and functional medicine and has motivated her to find ways to help children with neuro-developmental issues and seizures.  Are you or someone you know not feeling as well as you know you can? Have you explored options and you think you might be at a dead end with the advice of traditional medicine? Today's guest will explain technologies that can help you bridge the gap between not feeling well and vibrant, optimal health. If we know that everything is energy, then it makes sense that the next level of medicine can incorporate cutting-edge technologies based on energy. Our guest today is author, visionary inventor, and Chi Gong Master David Wong. He talks about these new wellness technologies which use vibrational frequencies. Just as martial arts uses the body's own energy, David began to study the further connection of frequencies and vibrations. After traditional Western Medicine combined with Chinese Herbs did little to heal his ulcerative colitis, David knew he had to find another form of relief.  He lived with constant pain for 10 years. Doctors advised surgery, and even after that, he would need to take medicine and deal with side effects, for the rest of his life.  David decided to explore spirituality, including prayer and meditation, which led him to finding an energy method to healing.  He used his background as an engineer to experiment with sound, frequency, energy, as well as studying the work of Dr. Royal Rife who developed the Rife Machine. He experimented with the Rife-type machines available at the time, but they were very expensive, huge, and clunky.  It was through that study that he invented a handheld instrument called the Qi Coils.  He took the Rife frequencies and captured them into a device. Using light technology and sound waves, he combined the frequency with electromagnetic coils to create soothing magnetic waves, which may aid in healing. This technology helped him heal his colitis. He then began to develop hundreds of other healing frequencies. Today David demonstrates the electronic Pineal Gland activation frequency. Frequencies can reinforce cells in the body to make them stronger. He used these sound frequencies and magnetic energies to invent a device in which coils were made in a specific shape, in accordance with sacred geometry. This in turn becomes magnetic energy. This shape is how energy flows according to science. It's like a vortex, so it relates to our chakras. It is a natural shape in nature and this technology replicates it. It creates its own flow. Sound makes us feel in certain ways and connects us to vibration. It is a focused, condensed energy. Every body process has a frequency, as does our brain, as we see in various brainwave technology. Our cells are also in constant communication. We send instructions in an electro-magnetic field. We have a secret code and can direct our healing, whether it be an energizing frequency or a relaxing frequency. This can lessen inflammation, assist with anxiety and depression, improve sleep, help with neurodegenerative diseases, and so much more. Technology exists which can measure energy levels. Using this idea, you can take the frequency of the healthy cells to match a vibrant energy. This technology is based on science and has been used for decades. The Qi Coils system makes it easy for people to use this for at-home healing. This is Part 1 of the interview. Info: www.theawareshow.com/life

Fertility in Focus Podcast

Episode Summary:If you Google “research Chinese herbs infertility,” you will find a bunch of evidence-based articles to support their use. Why? Because they are super effective. Chinese herbs are more revered in China to treat infertility than acupuncture! So how do you know if it's a good idea to try? You might want to consider them for any challenge. If you aren't getting pregnant despite acupuncture, vitamins, dietary changes,  IVF, etc..  then you might think about tasting the yucky juice. So why do they get a bad rap? One reason is that many doctors are worried about herbs interfering with medications. But in actuality, some herbs can increase the effectiveness of some medications, such as Clomid. Unfortunately, there are also some herbs that have some toxicity. But this is super rare, and a qualified herbalist would know how to navigate these issues. On that note, it can be hard to find a qualified herbal doctor, but I'll share some pointers on that. All said, in the right hands, they are a game-changer.If you've ever drank the herbs as tea, you know they are NOT delicious. I refer to it as “junk juice” in my practice for good reason! The good news is that modern versions such as capsules are available if the taste just isn't tolerable.  Tune in to this week's session to get the inside scoop all about Chinese herbs for fertility and beyond! Thanks for Listening:Thanks so much for listening to our podcast! Episode Summary:Let's talk herbs! If you are like many women, you may have a cabinet full of items meant to “enhance” fertility. The trouble is, it's not one size fits all. The herbs mentioned in a magazine or blog might be good for one woman and not so much for the next. Furthermore, it can be downright harmful to take certain herbs on the fertility journey. What's a girl to do?  Well, the most powerful herbs I've seen clinically for fertility are Chinese herbs. Chinese herbs are, in fact, considered to be much more effective than acupuncture for the treatment of tough cases of infertility. I've seen these ancient formulas have a much greater impact on hard-to-treat issues such as; premature ovarian failure, perimenopause, egg quality issues, ovulatory issues, and failed implantation. Tune into this session to hear the research backing these ancient herbal gems, as well as what to expect if you decide to try them out.
