It's Monday! Sam and Emma are joined by Dave Weigel, politics writer at Semafor, author of the "Americana" newsletter to preview the first round of major elections after the Trump/Musk regime's DOGE overhaul. First, they run through updates on Trump's tariffs, a return of stagflation, the rejection of Mike Waltz, the conviction of Marine Le Pen, DOGE's Social Security crash, RFK's gutting of infection disease and HIV/AIDS policy, Tesla protests, Tesla fires, Iran's response to Trump, and the Senate GOP's budget push, before expanding on Trump's authoritarian crackdown on migrants and watching Elon attempt to rally a Wisconsin crowd of sycophants. Dave Weigel then joins, reflecting on the rapid radicalization of the race for the last seat Wisconsin Supreme Court since the injection of over $20 million of Elon Musk's money, going from the culmination of a decade-long battle by Wisconsin Democrats to break down the GOP gerrymander to a full-scale (in Elon's words) battle for the “future of civilization.” After expanding on the more personal stakes Elon Musk has in the makeup of the Wisconsin Supreme Court, and why, despite that, the messaging has almost entirely centered on supporting Trump's agenda, Weigel, Sam, and Emma shift to the upcoming special elections in Florida, as they unpack the fear the GOP is facing over their dwindling margins over the last few months, highlighting some particularly brutal campaigning from Democrat Josh Weil against “unhinged,” “anti-American” Randy Fine, and the importance of tying the Right to Musk's anti-Medicaid, anti-Social Security agenda. Wrapping up, Dave touches on the potential GOP response if these margins continue to shrink, and how DOGE has allowed them to change their messaging. And in the Fun Half: Emma tackles the Trump/Musk agenda of boosting the immigration of *white* South Africans to the US, unpacks the Working Family Party's endorsement of four candidates for New York City Mayor, and watches Zohran Mamdani continue to absolutely nail his messaging campaign. The MR Team also touches on Vivian Wilson's appearance with Hasan, growing regret from MAGA-voting federal workers, before taking a few calls to unpack Trump's Greenland push, the devastating impact of Trump's authoritarian crackdown on DACA Dreamers, and Canada's Mark Carney, plus, your IMs! In this episode of the Millionaire Mindcast, we have a return guest, Diego Corzo who shares his entrepreneurial, investing, and wealth-building journey, the hurdles of being an undocumented citizen, appreciation of properties, reinvesting, and getting momentum, creating a money-machine, and mindset strategy on unlocking financial independence! Diego Corzo is a 32-year-old DACA Recipient, Forbes-featured Entrepreneur, Real Estate Investor and Realtor, and TEDx Speaker from Austin, TX. He was born in Lima, Peru and came to the US at the age of 9. Diego is a humble man of action that creates a massive success. After college, Diego started working as a software developer in Corporate America and soon discovered that he was destined for more and pursued a career in Real Estate. Today, Diego attains success across real estate investing as well as in his realtor business. In fact, his team is ranked #16 in the US by the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. He owns 61 properties and multiple million dollar companies. Since the last interview with him in 2019, there has been lots of change and growth. Being undocumented still a challenge, but it never stops him to achieve great things. Resourcefulness, having strong WHYs, and work ethics have helped him figure it out. He is not just on creating a huge portfolio in real estate, but also elevates other people without any expectation of returns. Diego's goal is to continue to inspire others to reach their version of the American Dream and their true potential. Some Questions I Ask: For those who don't know you yet, talk about your entrepreneurial journey. What was that mindset that embodies you that overcomes the hurdles and achieved success? Where are you today? How did you do from 0 to 61 doors despite being an undocumented citizen? What's been going down since we last chatted with you? What is your formula for identifying key relationships? How are you operating, investing, and leading today versus Diego in 2019? Where did this Financially Independent Investors community come from? How is your strategy changed in terms of exponential wealth-building and growth? What is your mindset around accumulation and more wealth and income? In This Episode, You Will Learn: The two ways for people to make money. The importance of having a strong WHY. Capitalizing partners. What is an ideal real estate/business partner. Acting in the zone of genius. The 6 key things to financial independence. Diego's lesson learned from biggest mistake Quotes: “The people want something but if the why is not strong enough, they're gonna create excuses.” “Through time, momentum becomes your friend and it becomes easier.” “At the end of the day, it's not having an agenda but really caring about other people.” “There's nobody that is self-made, there's always somebody that has helped people.” “The good stuff always takes time.” Resources Mentioned: Rat Race to Fi Mastermind Leap book by Howard Yu Connect with Diego Corzo on: The Financial Independence (FI) Investors Group Instagram @realdiegocorzo Email: info@diegocorzo.com Sponsor Links: Policy Genius: Get a free 60-day trial in Shipstation with code: MINDCAST Talkspace: Use code for $100 off: MINDCAST GoBundance - Text: "MILLIONAIRE" to 844.447.1555 LinkedIn Sales Solutions: Click on the link to get a Free 60-day Trial on LinkedIn Sales Navigator Accredited Investor List - Text "DEALS" to 844.447.1555 Free Financial Audit: Text "XRAY" to 844.447.1555 Upcoming Events: Text "Events" to 844.447.1555 Millionaire Notes: Text "Notes" to 844.447.1555 Connect with Matty A. and Text me to 844.447.1555

Episode 8 (recorded 26 June 2020). -- Bishop Jack Lumanog sits down for his first ever interview for Pod Bless Us! 8 days before today's recording, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled 5-4 blocking the Trump administration from going ahead with its plan, announced in 2017, to end a program called DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals). For an Evangelical point of view following this recent Supreme Court decision and an in-depth discussion on how to think biblically about immigrants and refugees, Bishop Jack talks with Matthew Soerens, the US Director of Church Mobilization for World Relief and the National Coordinator for the Evangelical Immigration Table, a coalition that advocates for immigration reforms consistent with biblical values. On this episode of the podcast, we revisit a 2017 conversation with Jorge Reyes Salinas, who at the time was a Cal State Northridge grad student serving on the California State University Board of Trustees. Jorge is also an immigrant from Peru who was brought to the U.S. as a child by his parents who never returned home when their tourist visas expired. Jorge and his parents became undocumented immigrants living in the U.S. without legal status, fearing that one day they might be deported back to Peru. Jorge is one of more than 700,000 young people in the U.S. who were brought to this country as children and raised as Americans. In 2012, President Obama ordered that these young people receive protection from deportation under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program or DACA. In September 2017, President Trump announced that he was rescinding DACA but he gave Congress six months in which to come up with a plan to protect dreamers like Jorge. However, in June 2020, the Supreme Court of the United States announced its decision to reject DHS’s move to rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. During this podcast, Jorge tells us what it was like to live in the shadows before DACA and how the decision to rescind DACA in 2017 had affected his life.

On Thursday, July 18, 2020, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that the Trump administration cannot end the program that protects about 700,000 young immigrants known as DREAMERS from deportations. On a special episode of LatinEQUIS, I speak with Ariel, a DACA Dreamer, about his thoughts on the monumental decision that has changed the lives of countless immigrant families living in the United States. Find resources as a DREAMer at Educators for Fair Consideration, Scholorships.com, the National Immigration Law Center, Generation Progress, and TheDream.US. Despite nearly every state reopening its economy and easing lockdown restrictions, the Coronavirus pandemic is still a serious and dangerous reality for healthcare workers across the country. In this episode I speak to Aldo Martinez, a 26-year old Paramedic in Fort Myers, FL. Aldo says he has to deal with a COVID-19 patient at least once a day during his sometimes 48-hour shifts. He’s also one of thousands of DACA recipients saving lives on the frontlines during this health crisis. That means that as he risks his life saving lives, he’s also worried about an upcoming Supreme Court decision that could alter his immigration status. According to the Center for American Progress, nearly 30,000 health care workers are DACA Dreamers. They are paramedics like Aldo, but also doctors, nurses, medical techs, and others who are putting their own health and safety on the line to diagnose and treat the disease. FIRST Aldo gives us a glimpse into his sometimes anxiety-driven shifts during this pandemic, tells us what he’s doing to stay safe and how he deals with the stress and uncertainty of this lockdown. THEN he shares the one lesson from his parents that helps him get through even the toughest day and how this is fueling his dream of becoming a trauma surgeon in the future. It’s a lovely tribute that will inspire you! I would love your feedback! The Trump administration has rescinded The Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program. DACA lets undocumented immigrants who were brought to the U.S. as children remain in the country under certain restrictions. Now time is running out for Congress to decide what to do legislatively. Deciding what’s next for this group of so-called Dreamers has become a polarizing issue for many Americans. Fordham University President Father Joseph McShane joins Fordham Conversations host Robin Shannon to discuss why Catholic leaders consider supporting Dreamers part of their social justice mission.

Hey guys! We are back with some DACA talk after getting hit by Hurricane Irma. We discuss DACA, Dreamers, Trump and Pelosi, and the fact that we aren't ever getting a wall. Ever.
After the recording of this podcast, President Trump mentioned that he would work with Democrats on DACA and immigration policy. As of today, a potential "DACA deal" with Democrats remains unclear. Due to the developing nature of this issue, the information in this podcast may be incorrect or outdated though still relevant. Please keep this in mind upon listening. On September 5th of 2017, President Trump's administration said they would rescind the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals. Back in June of 2012, DACA was put in place by the Obama Administration to protect immigrants without legal status who came to the United States as children. President Trump’s call to end DACA now heads to Congress to find a solution for the population that was previously eligible under the policy. Just this week, the state of California filed a lawsuit against the Trump administration for its decision to rescind DACA. On Lawyer 2 Lawyer, hosts Bob Ambrogi and Craig Williams join Hans von Spakovsky, senior legal fellow in the Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies and immigration attorney Erin J. Lee, from the Law Offices of Erin J. Lee, as they take a look at DACA and the DREAM Act, the role of Congress, the reality of deportation and potential impact, future litigation, and what the future holds for DREAMers and their families. Hans von Spakovsky is a senior legal fellow in the Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies. Erin J. Lee, from the Law Offices of Erin J. Lee is an immigration attorney out of San Diego, California. Special thanks to our sponsors, Clio and Litera.
"[Trump] has really lost the Republicans, and he has nothing to gain from trying to get them back... but with the Democrats, if he can bring them onside on a few key issues... he might save his presidency for this four years, because they'll stop pursuing him."As recovery begins following Hurricane Irma, Ed talks about the fallout both physical and political. But, is Trump showing some of those fabled deal-making skills in reaching across the aisle to Democrats on the DACA Dreamers? And what does that mean for his relationship with his own party? Plus, back-downs on both the travel ban and transgender military ban, while China could be poised to take the North Korea situation out of American hands.
Trump hands the Democrats a great deal on the debt ceiling and totally screws the Republicans in the process. Hallelujah! Did you know that Trump’s crazy works just as effectively on the GOP as it does on the Dems? We also discuss DACA/Dreamers, the football season, summer series finales, the upcoming Canelo vs. Golovkin fight. Join us. We got it for cheap.
Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) turmoil has swept across the United States. There are close to 800,000 people directly affected by Trump's DACA decision and approximately 11 million undocumented immigrants in the United States. Fresh from watching Beverly Hills Cop 3, Randy and Chase chat about what they were doing in 1994 when the movie first dropped. Randy talks about hustling during the the early AOL internet days in the mid 90's and Chase recounts his time in dance competitions (kinda like the movie "Fame"). The guys move on to talk about their Labor Day weekend. Randy attended his best friend's engagement party in Long Island and had a chance to catch up with some people from his past (congratulations Saul & Ayaka!). The guys bring the show home with some news - Trump's decision to end the DACA Dreamers program and a man who ran into the "Burning Man" statue and died.
