Six Al Jazeera journalists have been killed in targeted strikes by Israel recently and much of the world is up in arms. On Thursday, television host Piers Morgan invited two journalists to discuss the issues and their very different takes. Jotam Confino is based in Israel and writes extensively for international media, primarily in Europe and the U.K. His commentary on this issue on social media and elsewhere has attracted significant attention and among those who took note is Piers Morgan. In 1980, The Roswell Incident by Charles Berlitz and William Moore was published that told the sensationalized story of a forgotten 1947 report by the U.S. Army Air Forces that they recovered a “flying disk” on a ranch in New Mexico, north of Roswell Army Air Field. This was also the year of the Rendlesham Forest Incident, which is sometimes referred to as “Britain's Roswell” (December 26-28), and the Cash-Landrum Incident (December 29). The Cash-Landrum Incident is significant because the witnesses, Betty Cash, Vickie Landrum, and her grandson, Colby Landrum, showed symptoms of what seemed like radiation poisoning after they reportedly saw a large craft, seemingly in distress, being escorted by as many as 23 Chinook helicopters. While all of the above cases continue to be discussed and continue to fascinate, a case that got a lot of attention that same year has been largely forgotten. It is interesting to note that it also involved what seemed to be the effects of radiation on the witnesses prior to the Cash-Landrum incident.In the September 11, 1980, Anderson, South Carolina, Daily Mail, there is an article (page 8 of the pdf) by Louise Ervin headlined “Jerry McAlister saw ‘something strange.'” Ervin, begins her article asking, “Did a vehicle from another world pay a visit to the Broadway lake area this morning?” According to her, “Jerry McAlister of Parnell Road” wasn't sure, but was “positive he saw something strange in his back yard” at 4:20 that morning, and since then, “the news media has beaten a path to his door.” Read more →Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/podcast-ufo--5922140/support.

Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak repeatedly attempted to downplay the extent of his ties to Jeffrey Epstein, despite reporting that he met with Epstein nearly 30 times between 2013 and 2017, frequently flew on his private jet, and co-invested in an Israeli security startup (initially named Reporty, later Carbyne) that Epstein helped fund.   Barak asserted that he never attended any of Epstein's alleged sex parties and even filed a libel suit to dispute news reports that suggested otherwise—but publications such as the Daily Mail firmly refused to retract their stories, citing credible evidence they stood by.    Barak's legal efforts ultimately failed to refute specific claims and were criticized for lacking substantive rebuttal.In public statements, Barak expressed regret over knowing Epstein—saying he “wished he had never met him”—and insisted any implication of misconduct was “lies and slander”. However, his team did not address clear allegations backed by documentation and testimony. For example, when it was reported that a victim had named him in a coerced affidavit (a reference sometimes conflated with figures like Alan Dershowitz), Barak's office simply denied the accusation without providing real evidence or transparency. He is representing himself and is seeking spousal support. Denise Richards filed for an ex parte temporary restraining order from Aaron Phypers. Photographs of a black eye were submitted as evidence and she explained that her laptop and phone were stolen. Alec Baldwin's malicious prosecution lawsuit against the prosecutor and Kari Morrissey, related to the "Rust" prosecution, was dismissed by the judge on July 29, 2025, because no significant action had been taken in 180 or more days. Baldwin's attorneys stated to Law 360 that they have been in good faith settlement discussions and will refile the lawsuit if these talks are not favorably resolved.
