In one of the true honors of our host Randal Wallace's career has been his appointment as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the South Carolina Hall of Fame.  2024 marks the first time Mr. Wallace would preside over the induction ceremony of honorees inducted into the South Carolina Hall of Fame.  He decided that we would make a podcast covering the event. In this two part episode we look on at the 2024 Induction Ceremony honoring Francis Salvador, Rudy Manke and Joe Frazier.  We begin by looking at the honorees and their lives. Francis Salvador was an American Revolutionary figure who was also the first Jewish person elected to public office in America, and the first Jewish person to die fighting for independence in America. Rudy Mancke, the host of SC ETV's Nature Scenes television show that became a national broadcast introducing young people all over the country to the natural world around us, a show featuring  a host who so clearly loved his job and the natural world he was exposing his audience too. Nature Scenes ran for 23 years. Smokin Joe Frazier was the undisputed World Heavyweight Boxing Champion who was the first man to defeat Mohammad Ali at Madison Square Garden in the first of a three fight series that are easily the most famous boxing matches in the entire history of the sport.  To say that Joe Frazier was a giant in the sport of boxing is an understatement of huge proportions. He shared the ring with some of the greatest athletes of the era and one of them, George Foreman, is quoted as saying that Joe Frazier was the one opponent he feared. We also are proud to share with you on this podcast a Question and Answer segment with the son of honoree Joe Frazier, Joe Frazier Jr. It is an inspirational talk with the young people of Myrtle Beach S.C, and it is a segment they won't ever forget and you won't either. We also spend a couple of minutes learning about the history of the Hall of Fame with one of its founding Board members and former long time Chairman , Former Myrtle Beach Mayor Robert Hirsch. We hope you enjoy this first of two episodes on the South Carolina Hall of Fame and its newest honorees. Ranked 4th as one of the best American History Podcasts of 2024https://podcasts.feedspot.com/american_history_podcasts/ Questions or comments at , Randalrgw1@aol.com , https://twitter.com/randal_wallace , and http://www.randalwallace.com/Please Leave us a review at wherever you get your podcastsThanks for listening!!

It seems to imply that God is responsible for the death of the first born. However, God is the source of truth and cannot lie. If he already gave his word in Gen 12:3 that he would curse anyone who curses his people. In light of this, why do we place responsibility on God rather than Pharaoh? God promised "Do A and I will be forced to do B", Pharoah does A and God's hand is forced. Why do we not read this as Pharaoh being the one responsible? Almost like sticking your finger in an electric outlet and then blaming the electric outlet for shocking you rather than sticking your finger in it when you knew what would happen.Who do you think the angel of death is?Scripture References:Exodus 12:29 - 13:22Romans 11, 13Got questions? Near India's capital, in Haryana state, demolitions of more than 300 homes and shops in a Muslim-majority area have followed clashes that killed six people. The demolitions have been halted for now, but this week, a local High Court raised the idea that the ones that took place might be an act of “ethnic cleansing” by the state. The clashes and demolitions are seen by many Muslims as the latest in a trend of violence in India during Prime Minister Narendra Modi's nine years in power. So what space exists for Muslims in India? Andrew Wilson has been in therapy for decades.  PTSD from the Vietnam War, a war he never wanted to be a part of, riddled Andrew's soul. Andrew is a Vietnam veteran, and, almost half a century later, Andrew cannot completely forgive himself for his role as soldier in this controversial war.  Andrew describes himself as a young coward, unable to stand up for his beliefs as Mohammad Ali did all those years ago.   In this raw episode, Andrew talks about the horrors of the Vietnam War; the rampant drug use; the confusion, guilt, and the ensuing PTSD that plagued him relentlessly. But this is also a story of overcoming demons through the forgiveness of Andrew's savior, Jesus Christ.  Andrew is a participant in the "New Revolution," a movement to spread the beliefs of the Founding Fathers regarding this grand experiment we call America. Andrew does not see a dark future for America, but a bright future as we come together, united in the goodness of freedom and support of our marvelous republic. Andrew is an accomplished musician and was a member of different bands in his young adult years.  As a part of the "All Of The Above" band, Andrew wrote the song, "The War Is Over."  It was a song written for those who served during the Vietnam War.  You can find the recording on YouTube.  The War Is Over  It is a poignant reminder of the trials our military endured during and after this controversial war. Andrew Wilson spends his time helping other veterans deal with the mental scars of war.
