The dictionary defines pain as penalty, and suffering inflicted as punishment of an offense. This is a perfect lead in for the spirit of guilt to gets us to agree with the implication that we deserve to be punished for sins we have committed. Agreeing that we deserve to be punished opens the door to pain. Guilt feels justified in putting pain on us because we agreed that we sinned. Guilt's second friend is poverty who gets us to agree that because we have sinned we do not deserve good things. Guilt's third friend is infirmity. When we agree I did something bad the implication is that I am bad. Infirmity sets up confusion in our immune system which was created by God to preserve that which is good and destroy that which is bad. Many people do not think their pain is connected with sin or guilt or confusion or infirmity. To get to the root of the pain we must get to the memory that holds the agreement with the lie that opened the door for the Enemy to bring his demonic judgment of pain, penalty and infirmity upon us. Rejection, injustice, and believing lies about who you are open the door to pain in our bodies. Identifying the lie, forgiving the persons involved including ourselves and canceling out our agreement and commanding the spirit of pain to leave our body begin the steps to healing and deliverance from the spirit of pain. FREE Toxic People Survival Guidehttps://krisreece.com/toxic-people-survival-guideI didn't even realize he was a narcissist until after we were divorced.I felt like a fool for not seeing it, embarrassed because it took me that long to put a label on it.But the truth is, it didn't need a label. I knew something was wrong six days after we returned from our honeymoon.I stood at the kitchen counter opening the mail. As I scanned the unusually high cable bill, I saw one pornographic movie after another. It felt like someone just sucked all of the air out of the room. He was sitting right there and saw my face. I was never one to cower in fear, so I pounced like a puma.I challenged him, and his response was the beginning of what I could see was a dream turned nightmare. He said, “Well, since you didn't put out, what did you expect me to do?””Amazing how it was MY FAULT. Don't think for a second that I assumed that responsibility.Still, I didn't know what to do. It was early enough to bail, but I stayed. I decided to be a loving, understanding wife who wins her husband to Christ. But two months in, he came to me and said, “You know that whole church thing we've been doing? You can go, but I just don't think it's for me anymore.”Again, I felt bamboozled. He fooled me into thinking he had come to Christ and wanted a Christian marriage.Needless to say, the marriage was strained at that point. I realized that his man wanted to be married in title only.It started to dawn on me that he was proud to brag to his colleagues about his young wife, but he lived his life like he was a bachelor. At the beginning of our marriage, he said he would like to wait three years before we had kids.Three years came and he said, “I never said that. I said, after three years we could talk about it and see if that's what we want. And I've thought about it and I just don't think that's something ‘we' want.”I may not have known then that he was a narcissist, but after this, there was no doubt that he was a lying, self centered control freak that was using me for everything. That's when I entered phase two of the marriage, which was, “God get me out of here.”Love was not driving this ship anymore. I confess—I hated him. I hated who he was and what he had done to my dreams. And worst of all, I hated that the beautiful Christian marriage I had longed for turned out to be a scam.Once he knew that I was on to him, it went from bad to worse. There was no way I was staying in that toxic house with that lying manipulator. I prayed, “God I love you, but I'm not staying here another minute. Do what you have to do to me, but I'm out.”Then a counselor I was working with calmed me down and said, “Are you willing to trust God to either change him or deliver you?”I was definitely praying that God would change him, but the thought of deliverance had never occurred to me. A sudden peace came over me, knowing that it wasn't my responsibility to change him and I wasn't trapped. I could trust God to be God.Then I entered phase three: “God I'll trust you.”I've made more impulsive decisions to try to take the bull by the horns than I care to admit. Although now there was a little voice in me that kept saying “trust me,” my flesh had it's running shoes on.I knew my decision would be a pivotal moment in my walk with God. “Am I going to keep doing things my way? Or will I follow Him, even though I have NO idea what this will look like?”I won't lie, my prayers were more for my deliverance than it was for God to change my husband. But the more I trusted God with whatever the outcome would be, the more I grew in maturity.I spent SOO much time with God. It was glorious. I even reached a point where I prayed, “God, if delivering me from this means

Since then a new evaluation of Childish's standing in the art world has been under way, culminating with the publication of a critical study of Childish's working practice by the artist and writer Neal Brown, with an introduction by Peter Doig, which describes Childish as "one of the most outstanding, and often misunderstood, figures on the British art scene". He is a visiting lecturer at Rochester Independent College. In July 2014 Childish was awarded an honorary Doctor of Arts Degree from the University of Kent. He is known for his explicit and prolific work - he has detailed his love life and childhood sexual abuse, notably in his early poetry and the novels My Fault (1996), Notebooks of a Naked Youth (1997), Sex Crimes of the Futcher (2004) - The Idiocy of Idears (2007), and in several of his songs, notably in the instrumental "Paedophile" (1992) (featuring a photograph of the man who sexually abused him on the front cover) and "Every Bit of Me" (1993). From 1981 until 1985 Childish had a relationship with artist Tracey EminFor more information on the work of Billy Childish go tohttps://l-13.org/product-category/by-artist/billy-childish/To Support this podcast from as little as £3 per month: www.patreon/ministryofartsFor full line up of confirmed artists go to https://www.ministryofarts.orgEmail: ministryofartsorg@gmail.comSocial Media: @ministryofartsorg Hosted on Acast. Question Time Stamps for Quick Reference: 0:00 Intro1. 0:04 {My Fault if Someone’s Not Saved?} I know God is in control, but since prayer and fasting makes a difference, is it my fault if someone is not saved because I didn’t pray or fast enough for them? I feel responsible when I eat or forget to pray.2. 9:31 {About the 2 Witnesses / Rapture?} It seems like the 2 witnesses in Zechariah 4 and Revelation 11 are like two peoples instead of individuals, as Romans 11: 17-21 speaks of olive trees/branches being Jews/Gentiles. If so, would the rapture be the "calling up" of them?3. 17:01 {Does Romans Teach Works for Salvation?} Does Romans 6: 22 preach salvation by works? John Piper claims that this verse suggests that at final salvation, our works coming from sanctification result in eternal life.4. 24:30 {Does God Grant People Faith? / Calvinism} How would you interpret the end of Matthew 11 in a non-Calvinist way, since it seems at a quick read to me that God grants people faith?5. 29:55 {Thinking Biblically about Trends} There is a trend in many young male Christians where they are wearing earrings, painting nails, fixing eyebrows, and putting on makeup. Help me think biblically about this, as it's a bit shocking.6. 35:04 {Advice for being a Godly Man} I just turned 18 today, and for the past few months, I've been struggling with the transition into adulthood. Got any advice for someone trying to become the man God wants them to be?7. 39:22 {Does Blindness Cover Sin?} In John 9: 41, Jesus says, "If you were blind, you would not be guilty of sin..." What does it mean to be "blind" in this context? Does this blindness also cover sin?8. 45:43 {Discerning Extrabiblical Prophecies} When should extrabiblical prophecy be accepted or rejected? I don’t know how to discern or “test the spirits,” and I don’t want to be overly dismissive, even if the claims seem astonishing.9. 51:34 {About Submission in Marriage} If a husband's rule over his wife was a curse of the fall, why is it taught as God-ordained in the New Testament? Aren't husbands and wives called to submit to each other under the New Covenant?10. 54:18 {Right and Wrong Public Worship/Prayer} In Matthew 6:5, Jesus says not to pray like people in public who try to get attention. Would that include praying and worshiping in church?11. 58:18 {Interpreting the Psalms} In Psalm 2: 12, What does the psalmist mean by this verse in its non-messianic context?12. 1:02:23 {Judging & Correcting Non-Believers} Are we supposed to judge those outside of the Church, and do we have any right to control/direct what they do (Romans 1: 32; 1 Corinthians 5: 12)?13. 1:06:30 {Theological Differences while Dating} I've just discovered my long-term girlfriend does not believe homosexuality is a sin, and I'm really struggling with anxiety regarding this. The second part of the best-of episodes “Kix” off with a hilarious unreleased story from when Brooks and Dunn opened for The Rolling Stones, told by the man himself, Kix Brooks. Phil introduces one of his favorite up and coming artists in Nashville, Lexie Hayden, as she performs her single, “Relit Cigarette.” They bond over the correlation between personal growth and growth as a songwriter, and how they directly influence the other. Phil flashes back to one of his favorite performances - Brothers Osborne playing their smash hit, “It Ain't My Fault.” Phil and Vince Gill swap hilarious and humbling never-before-heard stories, spanning from their early days as up and coming artists to modern times amidst their success. The best-of sequel closes with Phil and Kix jamming on the good ol' blues.Performances:“Relit Cigarette” - Lexie Hayden“It Ain't My Fault” - Brothers OsborneBlues Jam - Kix Brooks & Phil VassarTo stay up to date with Lexie Hayden, head on over to https://www.lexiehayden.com To stay up to date with Kix Brooks, head on over to https://www.kixbrooks.comTo stay up to date with Brooks And Dunn, head on over to https://www.brooks-dunn.comTo stay up to date with Brothers Osborne, head on over to https://www.brothersosborne.com To stay up to date with Vince Gill, head on over to https://www.vincegill.com More info on Songs From The Cellar & details on how to watch the TV series can be found at https://www.songsfromthecellar.comKeep up with Lexie Hayden on Social media at:FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTubeSpotifyKeep up with Kix Brooks on Social media at:FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTubeSpotifyKeep up with Brooks and Dunn on Social media at:FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTubeSpotifyKeep up with Brothers Osborne on Social media at:FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTubeSpotifyKeep up with Vince Gill on Social media at:FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTubeSpotifyFollow Phil Vassar and Songs From The Cellar at:FacebookInstagramTwitterYouTubeSpotifyCheck out more awesome podcasts at:American Songwriter Podcast NetworkAnd go!
