Willie, like Jerry, has high expectations for the Jets but wants to see them start hot. Willie has a few questions he still wants to see Aaron Rodgers and company answer. CLo returns for an update but first we talk about golf plans and how quickly Jerry can get through 18. Brandon Nimmo had high praise for Sean Manaea. Willie says winning is the best deodorant which is similar to a line we mocked Boomer for saying recently. The line between pro athlete and NARP just got sharper. Willie Colon saw a completely different version of Todd Bowles behind closed doors and Jerry wonders if Bowles wouldn't have been fired by the Jets if he showed a little more of that publicly. Evan and Morash had Scott Hanson on yesterday. He delivered big news that RedZone viewers won't have to suffer through another late window with only two games on a Sunday afternoon. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry learns that McDonald's is about to release a McChicken Big Mac. Jerry and Willie discuss favorite burger and chicken fast food chains.
Hour 1 Willie Colon is sitting in with Jerry today and Jerry keeps the positivity theme of the week going by talking about the Mets win to start the show. Pete Alonso got things going with a home run that tied him with Mike Piazza on the Mets career list. Sean Manaea was terrific again and Jerry says Manaea has been the stopper for a few weeks now. The Mets have an uphill climb to catch the Braves. The Yankees had a bad night in the field in D.C. Aaron Judge looked human. Willie says enjoy the show and worry about Juan Soto's free agency later. Willie thinks the Yankees are going all the way. Willie says there's no limit to what the Yankees should give Soto if he delivers a ring this season. CLo is in with his first update of the day and Willie does not remember him from when CLo covered the Jets. Willie had a great relationship with the media when he played. The Mets had a big night in the desert but didn't gain ground on the Braves. Jerry doesn't take the AL Central teams seriously. The Yankees struggled against Patrick Corbin. In the final segment of the hour, a caller suggests the Yankees can't pay Soto more than Judge but Jerry and Willie disagree. Then, Jerry has a bone to pick with some WFAN colleagues, including someone sitting in his chair today. Hour 2 With Haason Reddick still holding out, Jerry asks Willie for the player's perspective on holdouts and how quickly a player can be ready once he does report. Jerry plays a clip from CeeDee Lamb about his negotiations and wonders how much agents tell their clients when talking to teams about a deal. Willie says a player could definitely be in the dark because of what his agent decides to tell him. CLo returns for an update and begins with Pete Alonso's solo home run. Pete talked about how much he loves the Mets and his teammates. Is he goofy, is he desperate to stay or is he just saying the right things as coached by Scott Boras? It was a rough night in the field for the Yankees. Willie doesn't think the videos of Haason Reddick working out will help him at all. Jerry thinks if players who missed time in camp perform early then others could question the importance of camp. Willie says it's more about lasting through the season than being ready for week 1. Wille doesn't think Jerry Jones is afraid to start over. In the final segment of the hour, Jerry plays “What Would Willie Do?” Willie teaches us that many big men don't know how to fight because if they were big growing up nobody challenged them and they never had to learn. Hour 3 Willie, like Jerry, has high expectations for the Jets but wants to see them start hot. Hour 4 We finish up the fast food and White Castle talk then get back to the Mets, who need to keep winning to make the postseason in an NL Wild Card race that's been tougher than expected. Steve Beuerlein calls into the show. The former QB is now the lead analyst for the Cowboys on Compass Media Networks. He talks to us about the Cowboys and the NFC East. CLo returns for an update but first tries to give kudos to Pat Boy ...

Welcome to Gun Funny, Episode 314. Today I'm going to chat with Brian From Columbia War Machine, discuss the blatantly unconstitutional revocation of carry rights by the governor of New Mexico, highlight the new NARP from Beretta, and talk about an outrageous theft of a P80 by a gun shop in Albuquerque. I'm your host, Ava Flanell.
Hour 4 The Mets are bringing in David Stearns as President of Baseball Operations. Boomer said he was the best NARP available. That's Non Athletic Regular Person. Gio welcomes him to Hell (New York). A caller wonders if Bill Belichick got a chubby after realizing Zach Wilson was back to QB'ing the Jets. A caller thinks Zach Wilson should date Gisele and then the fans would love him. Jerry returns for an update and starts with the Mexican government releasing videos and pictures of aliens that they found that are over 1,000 years old. Moment of The Day involves a fired up Brandon Tierney. In the final segment of the show, Gio is still trying to figure out if he believes the aliens that were unveiled by the Mexican government.
Hour 1 Yesterday on WFAN, you could hear the hosts going through the seven stages of grief regarding Aaron Rodgers' injury. Joe Benigno was in denial and Brandon Tierney went right to anger. We played many short clips of BT freaking out about how the Jets are not dead and how he's standing behind Zach Wilson. Gio still doesn't believe that Zach can be a competent QB. There is too much competition in the AFC to think you are going to do anything in the playoffs without a great QB, no matter how good your defense is. Gio cannot believe how positive Benigno feels after expecting a Super Bowl this year. Jerry is here for his first update of the day and starts with Rob Saleh wondering why people are writing an obituary on the Jets. He made it clear Zach is the QB going forward. Micah Parsons thought the Giants should have pulled Daniel Jones once the game got out of hand. Adam Schein doesn't think Zach Wilson should even be in the league. Ronny Mauricio hit a deep HR last night. Max Scherzer has yet another injury with the Rangers. In the final segment of the hour, Boomer & Gio went golfing yesterday. Hour 2 Yesterday The Athletic said Aaron Rodgers didn't like some of the plays Nathaniel Hackett was calling. Boomer said Rodgers held on to the ball way too long. A caller can't believe Jets fans and coaches are buying into Zach Wilson again. Boomer said sometimes it takes time with players, the way it did with Geno Smith. Jerry returns for an update and talks about the level of disappointment after the Aaron Rodgers injury. He also said Zach Wilson is a changed man from a year ago. Joe Benigno was on Evan and Tiki and was very positive. Sean McDermott talked about all the turnovers the Bills had Monday night. Deion Sanders met the media and had a few senior moments talking about their upcoming game against Colorado State. In the final segment of the hour, Gio has a 1979 East Islip football schedule that was found in a wall on Long Island. Boomer then realized his senior year was 1978, so that's not his schedule. Hour 3 Gio is going against his team, the Vikings, by picking the Eagles this week in his knockout pool. We talked more about Zach Wilson and Gio thinks if Joe Douglas didn't draft him he would be gone. Gio questions whether the locker room respects him or even likes him. Jerry returns for an update and has audio from Rob Saleh on the Jets moving forward without Aaron Rodgers. Gio wishes Zach Wilson was more of an underdog so we could root for him. Maybe Zach should make up a story about his past so we all pull for him. Jerry Jones was asked if he would trade Cooper Rush to the Jets. Jerry has clips of Vic Dibitetto's comments after the Giants blowout loss to the Cowboys. Mike Tomlin thought the Steelers ‘stunk up the joint'. In the final segment of the hour, there are rumors that Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift are dating. Gio wonders if he's emotionally deep enough for her.

If you read the title and find yourself wondering what a NARP is, this episode answers that question. The discussion provides considerations for working with individuals of the NARP (Non-Athletic Regular Person) orientation, navigating allostatic load, recovery, and developing training adherence. The key component of this episode is to understand the individual you're working with and how that realization improves their consistency and helps you develop as a trainer. An episode of almost 17 mins on the beautiful practice of intuitive painting and how it all unfolds... Inspired by a recent workshop - one of the many I've hosted on Zoom, and locally, for women. This episode explores themes around being present with all our emotions, and also on kindness, meditation...and on how intuitive paintings evolve by themselves and can become such wonderful, gentle teachers and reminders too.Mooji is mentioned and also the transformative NARP programme by Melanie Tonia Evans... and Qigong too!...and how all are intertwined xThis is a completely unscripted episode, just to see... (amazed that I spoke for almost 17 mins and no pausing!) ... and it is also part of a personal practice on confidence, visibility and voice, and on self-acceptance and self-love.Please see my intuitive painting site for the painting in full and for details of the Zoom workshops. Please see more artwork, articles and info at www.rowenascotney.com Music by Podington Bear www.soundofpicture.com - 'Wavy Glass'Artwork by Rowena ScotneyEpisode cover - 'The mirror, the heart & the glowing bird' (detail) - intuitive paintingPodcast cover - 'Garden Robin’ feltingSupport the show (https://www.buymeacoffee.com/rowenascotney)

On this weeks episode I sit down with someone i consider not only a friend, but family. Kenz is starting her sophomore year as a D1 field hockey player.
I sit down with good friend Darius Thompson. We discuss his athletic experiences and give advice on how being an athlete has helped transition into the NARP life.

We are NARP (Feat. Ike) by I Love You Less Podcast
Mike and Catsby are not only in a relationship – they are in a connected, expansive relationship which I call an “evolutionary relationship”. Meaning a soul-mate relationship – one where once we have mated our own soul – a true soul mate can enter our life. This is the ultimate goal of love relationship, and Mike and Catsby share intimately how to achieve it. How, by reaching a certain level of love and connection within yourself, this radiates out into the world and creates the physical manifestation of that love. The showing up of a partner – who with together you can share and generate ease, trust, authenticity and continual positive growth and expansion with. To join Mike and Catsby and become a part of the NARP family go here for the details: www.melanietoniaevans.com/narp Show notes: Altruistic narcissist article: http://blog.mel
I’m really excited because today I have another incredible Thriver story. If you were abused as a child, by a parent or family member, you are especially going to want to make some time to listen to this story. It’s pretty incredible! This story is about a Cindy, a wonderful woman within our NARP community and is also a moderator in the NARP forum (Like Phil who I had on the show a few weeks ago). Cindy grew up in dairy farm in Wisconsin with foster parents. Her mother was the narcissist and her father was the co-dependent enabler. She spent her youth growing up trying to win her Mother’s approval and inevitably became the scapegoat of the family. If you grew up with a narcissist in your family you will definitely relate to: Being told you will never amount to anything and trying countless things to win their approval. Being manipulated by shame, guilt, gaslighting and emotional blackmail. And the vicious events of rage that escalated throughout your youth. If you are not yet a member of NARP I would like to invite you to take part in my next Webinar - The 3 Keys To Thriving After Narcissistic Abuse which is taking place next week. Click here to reserve your space for this event. Or if you are someone who is had enough of the pain and want to start getting your life back on track starting now... Click here to find all the information on how to join NARP.
Today I have a really special interview. Especially if you are a male in this community, I know you will find this interview relatable and insightful. This show is about Phil, who is now one of our senior members in the NARP community. He is a friend of mine, and is also a part of the moderator team in the NARP community. In this show Phil talks about what it’s like being a man who suffered in silence – being ashamed to talk about it with your friends because you know they wouldn’t understand and only judge you. He also talks about what’s like dealing with the male ego – that voice inside you that says you shouldn’t let a woman take control of you and affect you like that. I had a wonderful time doing this show and I know you will get a lot out of it. If you are interested in becoming a NARP member you can find all the information to join here.
It is my absolute pleasure to bring you this Thriver Story. This is the story of Suzanne, who I affectionately call the 'Nigella Lawson' of NARP, because of her wonderful recipes, input and the connection she has with our community. Suzanne is now a wonderful moderator and contributor to people suffering from narcissistic abuse. Suzanne's story is incredible. From a very painful childhood Suzanne was hospitalised as a single mother for 6 years, dealing with her childhood trauma. In this story you will learn about Suzanne's life, her two narcissistic expereinces, and the rich, full and incredible life she is living personally and professionally now. I know you will love this show, it is nothing short of inspirational.
Chad Scott, Tim Kontos, and Jon-Michael Davis Interview I had the opportunity to sit down with three strength and conditioning coaches that I have the utmost respect for. Not only are these three gentlemen outstanding coaches, but they have been both friends and mentors to me. I was introduced to Tim Kontos many years back through elitefts™ columnist Todd Hamer. Tim is one of the most respected strength and conditioning coaches in the industry and his work ethic, practical knowledge, and unwavering integrity are unparalleled. I have known Chad Scott since the Spring of 2010 when he came to Denison University for a USA Weightlifting Certification and I met Jon-Michael Davis a few months after. In the summer of 2011, I brought my interns on a professional development trip to elitefts™ and also took them to Eastern Kentucky University. At the time, Chad Scott was still an assistant at EKU and he, Coach Davis, myself, and all of my interns spent the day talking shop. It was an invaluable learning experience for my guys as we talked about real-life coaching issues with brutal honesty. We also had a chance to poke fun at every stereo-typical coach, athlete, and NARP until I laughed so hard my face hurt. Chad and Jon-Michael are great men and role models for young coaches. We all sat down in the lobby of the hotel during the Collegiate Strength & Conditioning Coaches Association National Conference in Kansas City Missouri in May. We talked about how each of them got their start in the field, advice for young strength and conditioning coaches trying to break into the profession, and the biggest challenges of being a strength and conditioning coach.

Also Conor and Josh give each other birthday spankings, and Andy has a special surprise for Conor after the closing theme. Enjoy!
