Lots of people talk about “raising consciousness”; sometimes our own consciousness, sometimes global consciousness. But what does it actually mean? Doesn't it seem a bit vague? I am not generally a big fan of vague terms – because vagueness can give the false impression that spirituality is nebulous and wooly, when actually it is extremely precise, can be described technically, and known through direct experience. Join me for a conversation with Richard about higher consciousness and what it really means! *** Join international bestselling author Richard Lawrence to discover the wisdom of The Nine Freedoms. Richard has appeared on hundreds of radio shows around the world and is the author of 11 books including Contacts With The Gods From Space and Realize Your Inner Potential, both of which he co-authored with Master of Yoga Dr. George King – his spiritual master. We spend most of our life fighting against things. Fighting against the others that we perceive as bad. Fighting against things that we perceive as negative, etc. etc. Fighting things is rarely the answer. The answer comes from a raised consciousness and a raised awareness.
VOICES FROM THE FRONTLINES Your National Movement Building Show “Wake up and smell the revolution” Tuesday April 04, 2023 | 8 AM PST On todays show Voices from the Frontlines present Barbara Lott-Holland on The Bus Riders Union Film And Life as a Consciousness Raising Experience Recruited on the bus in 1998, Barbara has been a cornerstone of the organization since then. A resident of South LA and a transit-dependent bus rider for nearly four decades, Barbara has been elected by our members to the BRU's leadership body, the Planning Committee, for twelve years running. She has acted as Co-Chair of the Planning Committee and of the Monthly Membership Meeting for ten years. During that time, she has served as spokesperson and representative of the BRU in the media, with public officials in LA and Washington, and in national and international social movement forums. She is the only recipient of the Strategy Center's W.E.B. Dubois Fellowship (2009-2009). Eric's sings "In the Still of the Night” by: The Five Satins, and "Please MR. Postman" By: The Marevelettes. Eric will also read his commentary on the Democrats trivial indictment of Donald Trump, the unsettling precedent it sets, and its destabilizing implications for representative democracy. The Bus Riders Union film is a documentary about an activist group called the Bus Riders Union. Their focus is on improving the public transportation system in Los Angeles. The bus system there is in a sorry state. Busses are overcrowded. A rider will routinely see three busses pass her by, completely full, before being able to board. Handicapped riders find that the lift system on most busses is broken. Many riders need to take three or more busses to arrive at their destinations, and late night service on some routes is discontinued without any notice. On top of this, the MTA was planning a massive fare increase and focusing their energy on subways and trains that are costly and benefit mainly upper class white people. The B.R.U. views this struggle over Los Angeles busses as the new civil rights battle. The bus system is utilized almost exclusively by minorities and low income residents. Since the busses are so unreliable, workers are not able to predictably arrive on time and therefore have trouble holding jobs. This means that an already disadvantaged segment of the population is being further held back. Kikanza Ramsey, B.R.U. organizer, describes her organization as "an experiment to see if we can create a multi-racial, bi-lingual, gender-balanced mass movement of working class people." The tape follows the legal struggles of the group throughout the 90's as they battle with the city and the MTA for service improvements. The Dutch government has limited emissions so severely that many farmers will have no choice but to stop farming. The farmers, unsurprisingly, are not happy—turns out kulaks, awkwardly enough, don't like to be liquidated. Meanwhile, the Dobbs case is starting to animate state politics and will test just how red the red states are. Plus: is trans language shoving women out of the Overton Window?

Did you do anything that served you beyond a materialistic way today? When was the last time that you spent time in nature, to simply reconnect with the earth? Do you feel capable of surrendering to your consciousness? In this episode of Hydrate, Jay Campbell and I chat about raising our vibrational frequency to a state of oscillation, the different quantifiable levels of vibrational frequency, and what happens when we finally surrender to our consciousness. The truth is that we live in a materialistic world where it is easy to get overwhelmed and lost in the stress of our everyday lives. But when we take the time to pause, to look inward, and to reconnect with nature, this gives us the opportunity to surrender to our consciousness and ask ourselves if what we are doing serves us, and to let go of the things that don’t. Plus, Jay also expands on the notion that there is nothing that we physically contract, from a disease state, that doesn't originate from a traumatized spirit. The negative experiences, thoughts, and emotions that traumatized us either through our lives or in the lives that we’ve lived before are what cause the bodily issues that we have today. Jay Campbell is the Amazon Best Selling author of four books in the optimization health care space. Jay is also the Founder of TOTRevolution.com and the globally recognized TOT Revolution and Optimized Life Podcasts. Both podcasts interview the top Optimization physicians and Subject Matter Experts who answer questions and provide their decades of experience to help Men and Women become fully optimized. In a conversation with militant researchers Manuela Zechner and Bue Rübner Hansen, we discuss experiments in workers' self-organization that have taken shape in Europe over and against the process of neoliberalization and the resulting condition of precaritzation. Throughout the conversation, we talk about the constantly changing composition of the working class and what this technical composition entails in terms of the class's political organization and the practices and strategies it requires. We come to understand inquiry and co-research to be central to this process of organization. Where the former regards the specific practices of asking workers about their conditions and the relations that maintain them, the latter regards the broader organizational process of political experimentation to transform those relations. In this regard, our conversation homes in feminist practices developed in Spain over the past decades – particularly the “drift” and the “log-in” techniques – that women have developed to untangle the relations their labor maintains and ways to upend or disrupt these relations. This makes clear the ways in which feminist practices of consciousness raising developed in the 70s share no small similarity with practices of inquiry developed in the post-war. The question of political effect – or power – becomes central in our discussion, as it becomes revealed to be something conjunctural, situated, dependent on specific factors that are not always given but contingent – a constant hypothesis that must be tested through the fulcrum of practice or political experimentation. Something that depends once again on innovation, something that Manu points to across the unfolding wave of feminist and climate struggles the world over. In this way, we arrive at the necessity of abandoning the notion of “centrality versus marginality,” in order to turn to an ecologically interdependent and entangled conception of working-class self-organization that is fundamentally a project of inventing new modes and possibilities of care and interdependence, without capitalist relations of exploitation. Manu is a researcher, facilitator, and situated organizer working across feminism, ecology and migration related struggles. Her research deals with collective care, micropolitics, processes of organization, and subjectivity formation in social movements, currently working with Bue in a research project on translocal social movements across agroecology, climate and feminist struggles. Bue is a reseacher and theorist working on ideas and practices of social reproduction, class composition, and political ecology. He is an editor at Viewpoint Magazine. Both have been involved politically in student, migrant, feminist, municiaplist and ecological struggles, as their lives and search for work have taken them from city to city across Europe. To join a workshop on building power in pandemic times facilitated by Bue and Manu, please click here. It's based on Bue and Manu's ROAR article available here. Follow these links for more on the “log in” technique developed in Madrid (available only in Spanish), the “drift” technique by Precarias de la Deriva, or on Manu's reflections on care and organization, click here.

Fresh off her first in person live performance at an exclusive club in Montauk on July 4th weekend, artist Leah Schrager unloads about her experience (positive = exciting) performing for an unsuspecting audience at the $2000/lounge chair pool. Photos of her performance. Angles On A Woman HERE. Leah was on #DrLisaGivesAShit in 2016, and at that time we tried to make clear how hard it is for her work to be interpreted as art and photography. Once again I stress all of Leah's achievements: her academic awards (B.A. Dance and B.S. Biology, summa cum laude, University of Washington, Seattle, high school valedictorian), numerous high profile dance performances such as with Martha Graham Dance company and her trade of choosing art over becoming a doctor. She has many options, people! She is not just trying to do this work for money, if you think so, you are missing the point! Her recent experience leads us to a discussion about the power/power struggle of women's sexuality and more. It's exciting to see Leah's progress on integrating the topic of women's ownership of their bodies over the past few years. Owning her image is central to Schrager's art practice. She has spent years creating work in which she is the photographer, model, and artist in order to facilitate an institutional critique of the standard exploitative practices of the fashion and arts industries. The impulse to sexually shame women, however, is one of the reasons Schrager invented Ona in the first place. It was the birthplace of American democracy, the women's movement, spiritualism, Mormonism, Theosophy, Seventh Day Adventists, and much more. An Earth healer and dowser, Senner has found a formation that he calls "Fields of Consciousness." He states that our soul needs spiritual nutrition just like our muscles need protein. Joan Cerio welcomes the founder of Subtle Energy Sciences, Eric Thompson, who shares how he became interested in subtle energy, his healing journey using subtle energy, and how the science of subtle energy will revolutionize our society in many ways, including health and longevity, human performance, consciousness expansion, and free energy technologies to power the modern world. Eric Thompson is the founder of Subtle Energy Sciences, LLC and began his healing journey into the world of consciousness technologies after struggling with bipolar disorder for nearly four decades. For the last 12 years, he has been researching and developing proprietary methods for producing and capturing subtle energies in digital form. He has also developed methods for amplifying subtle energetic waveforms and embedding them into digital media. This proprietary process results in digital media that, when opened and played on most electronic devices, broadcasts silent energy pulses that assist anyone in various areas of health, healing, consciousness expansion and human performance. Julia had no interest in the world of natural healing or the bigger picture – in fact she didn’t even believe in any of it. Twenty fours years ago she was given six months to live from ovarian cancer. As the doctor gave her the death sentence, a voice from within spoke louder than the doctor. This inner voice told her she wasn’t going to die as she hadn’t yet done what she was here to do. She listened. Julia did exactly what the voice told her to do. She now helps others do the same on two legs and four. Having been helping humans and horses heal themselves of life threatening health issues for the last 18 years, Julia has now developed her own courses to teach you how to do this work and become a recognised practitioner. She also offers one on one training, programmes and clinics for both personal and professional success and has worked with international figures from the worlds of finance and the media. There is nothing Julia loves more than enabling you to live your own happy ever after. www.juliafairfax@hotmail.com Julia is also available for Skype sessions and you can reach her via email: juliafairfax@hotmail.com or mobile 07391 609725

The idea that "thoughts become things" has become a meme in popular culture. It's held as a firm proposition in metaphysics, and some spiritual teachers ascribe infinite powers to the mind. But are these claims scientifically accurate? What does the scientific evidence tell us about the scope of the human mind to transform thoughts into reality? New research and new discoveries in epigenetics, neuroscience, electromagnetism, psychology, cymatics (the study of wave phenomena), public health, and quantum physics are demonstrating that thoughts can indeed be profoundly creative. In Mind to Matter, award-winning author Dawson Church examines the scientific facts and reviews the studies that show, step by step, exactly how our minds create material form. As each piece of the puzzle falls into place, the science turns out to be even more astonishing than the metaphysics. Dawson Church, PhD, is an award-winning author whose best-selling book The Genie in Your Genes has been hailed by reviewers as a breakthrough in our understanding of the link between emotions and genetics. His follow-up title Mind to Matter, (www.MindToMatter.club) reviews the science of peak mental states. He founded the National Institute for Integrative Healthcare (www.NIIH.org) to study and implement promising evidence-based psychological and medical techniques.
Jocelyn Olcott is an associate professor of History and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies at Duke University. Her book International Women's Year: The Greatest Consciousness-raising Event in History (Oxford University Press, 2017) examines the genesis of the UN's 1975 International Women's Year (IWY) and the two-week conference of NGOs and government officials held in Mexico City. From the planning to the gathering itself there were conflicts regarding what were the significant women's issues among the worlds geopolitical divides. Cold War competition colored how delegates, often from the same nation, differed in their expectations. My guest is Jocelyn Olcott. She is Associate Professor of History and Gender, Sexuality, and Feminist Studies at Duke University. She is the author of, most recently, "International Women’s Year: The Greatest Consciousness-Raising Event in History", which considers the history and legacies of the United Nation’s first world conference on women in 1975 in Mexico City (Oxford University Press, forthcoming Spring 2017). Special Guest: Jocelyn Olcott.
Paramhansa Yogananda lived (1893-1952) through two world wars. He taught yoga, meditation, and practical ways to uplift consciousness in the U.S. during a time of great upheaval-World War II. Like Buddha, Gandhi and the Dalai Lama, Yogananda taught universal spiritual truths. His best-selling book, Autobiography of a Yogi, sparked a spiritual revolution of yoga and meditation in the West. If you could talk to Yogananda today, what would he say about the challenges we face? Today's special guests, Nayaswamis Jyotish and Devi, are dynamic emissaries of Yogananda, bringing his teachings into focus for today and shine light on the real solution for today's anxiety: raising our consciousness. Authors and teachers, who sparkle with wisdom and delightful humor, Jyotish and Devi show us how to experience joy daily, without succumbing to the stresses from our modern lives. Each year they travel to Europe, India and through North America sharing Yogananda's teachings and blessing people with the practical and heart-opening path of Kriya Yoga. Touching each person with friendship, Jyotish and Devi's clear, centered energy delivers spiritual insight with a delightful joy in people's individual paths. They offer a rare example of successful spiritual partnership, living yogic values through their marriage, parenting, and organizational leadership. Jyotish and Devi exemplify the most honorable and effective qualities of Westerners who represent Eastern spiritual traditions: faithful emissaries of Yogananda and his lineage and respectful of the social customs where they teach; able to adapt ancient teachings to the modern world without distorting or diluting them.

In this week's episode we have a challenging conversation you won't hear anywhere else! First, how do we let go of things? How is releasing something a way of paying it forward? Then we get into #adaywithoutawoman and the history behind International Women's Day. We dive into the purpose of these efforts using Iceland as a case study. We discuss why this history matters in this moment in time, and how we feel about the criticisms of the effort about who can and can't participate. We also get into the importance of having difficult conversations about political issues whether online or IRL. Also, what does it mean to have "privilege." and what happens when we argue about race, poverty and class. In Current Isshoes, Linda gives us a tip on how to make "Yes or No" decisions using a big decision Betsy made as an example.
I feel like it was yesterday I stumbled upon a company that grabbed my attention from the word go. Nutpods is that company because their product line truly answers a need I have and many others. During the "Taking it to the Streets Tour" coffee and their additives start most people's days off very unhealthy. Being able to offer a healthy solution is what Nutpods is all about. As stated on their website Nutpods was born out of founder Madeline Haydon's impatience for a wholesome dairy-free creamer that had the richness and creaminess of half & half. For years, she waited for a company, any company, to develop this type of product - without carrageenan or the "usual suspects" of titanium dioxide, mono and diglycerides, hydrogenated/partially hydrogenated oils. Finally Madeline took matters into her own hands and started a Kickstarter to fund her company and begin to carefully craft nutpods to be wholesomely delicious and to give you the freedom to choose your own sweetness level, enjoy the rich creaminess that come from MCT-rich coconuts and the balanced taste with heart-healthy almonds. All free from GMOs, soy, dairy, gluten and artificial flavors/colors. Join us as we talk with Madeline about her company, passion, and ability to fund a business using Kickstarter and how she also raised another round of financing. This episode will surely be filled with ways to up your volume by living a passion driven life. PaleoBOSS Lady is proud to have the support of Nutpods on the "Taking it to the Streets Tour." Together we are raising consciousness & building a movement regarding foods & living.
Across the world, spanning millennia and bridging cultures and religions, there has been a belief in the transmutability or of the human body into a transcendent higher form, a ?Next Human'.In numerous spiritual traditions, the Next Humans possess a magnificent, hidden, ethereal Light Body that is referenced as the ?must get' "new skin" that is under our skin. In Sufism it is called "the most sacred body" and "supracelestial body". Taoists call it "the diamond body," and those who have attained it are called "the immortals" and "the cloudwalkers." Yogic schools and Tantrics call it "the divine body." In Kriya yoga it is called "the body of bliss." In Vedanta it is called "the superconductive body."The ancient Egyptians called it "the luminous body or being" (akh) or the karast. This conception evolved into Gnosticism, where it is called "the radiant body”. In the Hermetic Corpus, it is called "the immortal body". In the Mithraic liturgy it was called "the perfect body". In Christianity, it is called the Resurrection Body. The philosopher Sri Aurobindo called it "the divine body," and said it is composed of supramental substance. The twentieth century Christian mystic, Teilhard de Chardin, called it "the ultrahuman." Today, in Silicon Valley, the Next Human is called Humanity 2.0 or H+ and a new skin is being created with super advanced and highly mystical technology.William Henry is a Nashville-based author, investigative mythologist, and TV presenter. Sounds like a bold statement doesn't it? When Lisa Warner was facing cancer, sheI realized that well-being was her TRUE Nature, and that her illness was in essence a distortion from her natural state of being. PLUS: Japanese anti-nuke demonstrators get pushy at their Parliament building; Extreme increase in mortality from heart attacks in Japan since Fukushima disaster began; Southern California Edison laying plans to restart San Onofre by November while activists launch their "Hell, no!"; US nuclear power production at 9-year low because of heat and drought; and the Numnutz of the Week Award returns because the TVA and Brown's Ferry deserve it.
In our 2nd segment, some folks actually think that without a change in our present deplorable behavior, we can still build something long lasting to defeat out 600 year-recent enemy. We will explore how fallacious that is and we will look at other successful models that have actually worked and then examine what we can extract from those for our present situation. Blueprint for Black Power as well as successful Marroon societies will be examined in contrast to some present flawed thinking of no behavior change, no worldview changing being needed. Over the next few weeks, we will critically look at the masses first approach as well as the non-behaviorial-change, non-worldview-change approach to organizing that presently dominates Pro-Black, Pan Afrikanist and Black Nationalist circles. These talks WILL challenge previously well-sounding rhetoric and propose alternatives. These talks will NOT be for the non-critical people within our ranks, nor for those who haven't had a new thought in 2-3 decades. Please tune in for lively & endarkening discussions.
The way myself and most others get into 'consciousness' is by being beaten over the head with the rhetoric of 'we must awaken the masses.' Has that approach actually worked? If so, in what ways? If not, is there a better, longer lasting way to organizing that will limit 'agents' from infiltrating our ranks & reducing our good works? Over the next few weeks, we will critically look at the masses first approach as well as the non-behaviorial-change, non-worldview-change approach to organizing that presently dominates Pro-Black, Pan Afrikanist and Black Nationalist circles. These talks WILL challenge previously well-sounding rhetoric and propose alternatives. These talks will NOT be for the non-critical people within our ranks, nor for those who haven't had a new thought in 2-3 decades. Please tune in for lively & endarkening discussions.
