Education: Svetlana is professionally trained in Indian Classical Kathak Dance by her Guru Yekaterina Seliviorstova, a Russian graduate of the National Institute of Kathak Dance - Kathak Kendra (Delhi, India), where she received her training from Urmila Nagar (Jaipur Gharana of Kathak). Svetlana has completed her training in Kathak as a member and lead dancer of "Chakkar" School of Indian Classical Dance in Moscow. Russia. Svetlana holds a Bachelor of Arts degree (6-year Sangit Prabhakar) in Kathak Dance from Prayag Sangeet Samiti University of Indian Classical Music & Dance (Allahabad, India). Svetlana has received trained in acting from the "New Collective LA" studio, a Hollywood-based branch of the "Susan Batson Studio" (New York City, USA) known for coaching many celebrities for their major films, such as Nicole Kidman, Tom Cruise, Juliette Binoche, Oprah Winfrey and Lady Gaga among others. Career highlights: Svetlana's first major breakthrough was upon her appearance with an Indian Classical Dance to a Bollywood song at the Ukraine's Got Talent TV show in 2013, that has caught attention of wide audiences and eventually went viral on the internet with over 10 million views till date. Some of the other TV shows where Svetlana presented Kathak dance since then include: Russia's Got Talent, So You Think You Can Dance (Ukraine), Dance Plus (India) and many others. I have a new plan to generate material. My new creative process. I am more creative when I'm on my feet talking. Sitting writing with a pen and paper bores me. It gets me in the state I was in when studying for exams at school and uni. It does have its uses though. My process. 1. Write some ideas I want to work with. 2. Do podcast on these ideas. Just playing with the ideas. 3. Listen back and take down any idea that might become material. 4. Refine ideas. 5. Do a video of a summarised version of this. 6. Edit for stand up material. Something like this anyway. Anyway. Enjoy my ramblings

Today, on Inside the Minds Eye, a conversation with Jennifer Ann Butler: writer, doodler, creative, and spiritual savant. Butler has spent most of her life struggling with depression. Last October, she began the arduous process of weaning herself off of anti-depressants. After her medications had been discontinued completely, she began to experience emotions that had left her, for lack of a better word, confused. Intense feelings of happiness, sadness, and all-around existential angst. Jen re-formatted her life to allow for holistic means it self-care. Excercises, healthy eating, and a regiment of transparent honesty in the face of complex emotional states. Mindfulness. She began to redirect her thoughts towards positive affirmations while maintaining honest and open communication. She used her writing, and her voice, to share these feelings with a network of people experiencing similar afflictions of the mind. During this journey, she managed to funnel her energy into a book titled, "Imperfect" (How I Utilized the Energy of Depression to Write a Book). The book is finished and is currently being crowd funded for self-publication.
