Um über Ursachen und Eskalation der Gewalt in Nahost und deren Auswirkungen auf jüdisches und muslimisches Leben in Deutschland zu informieren. Vor allem, um zu zeigen: ein Miteinander ist möglich.

Au chapitre politique, le Parlement doit se réunir aujourd'hui pour élire nouveau président de la République, le mandat de Michel Aoun s'achevant fin octobre. Le Parlement libanais qui vient d'adopter un budget pour l'année 2022, l'une des principales conditions du Fonds monétaire international (FMI) pour débloquer une aide financière au pays plongé dans une crise socio-économique sans précédent. Cette situation nous invite-t-elle à baisser les bras ? Certainement pas. "J'AI PARDONNÉ", c'est le titre de l'ouvrage publié chez Mame dans la Collection Témoignages et biographies par Fouad Hassoun. Un témoignage sur le pardon et le chemin pour y parvenir. A 17 ans, Fouad Hassoun est victime d'un terrible attentat au Liban, au cours duquel il perd la vue. Pour ce jeune homme brillant, fierté de sa famille et promis au plus bel avenir, c'est le noir complet, le désespoir, la colère. Pendant des années, il se reconstruit, soutenu par l'amour de sa famille, mais garde dans le coeur un désir profond de vengeance. C'est alors que l'impensable se produit : confronté au poseur de la bombe qui a bouleversé sa vie, sa rage disparaît. Il pardonne. Commence alors pour Fouad Hassoun un chemin de conversion et de grâces, dont il témoignera à de nombreuses reprises. Dans ce livre, il livre un témoignage inédit sur toutes ces années, sur la force et la grandeur du pardon, du plus impensable aux petits pardons de chaque jour, qui ne sont pas les plus faciles. Un récit qui nous pousse à nous interroger sur l'essentiel de notre vie, sur la vérité de nos rapports humains, sur la foi que nous avons en l'homme et en la réalité de la grâce de Dieu.
