In this engaging video, Luke Hansen takes on the criticisms of the Book of Abraham, particularly those raised by Cameron Bert from the YouTube channel Capturing Christianity. The video delves into the historical context of Joseph Smith's acquisition of ancient papyri and mummies in 1835, which led to the creation of the Book of Abraham. Hansen provides a detailed analysis of the translation process, highlighting the complexities and controversies surrounding it. He addresses common misconceptions about Joseph Smith's use of the so-called Egyptian alphabet and grammar documents, clarifying that these were not directly linked to the translation of the Book of Abraham. Instead, they were part of a broader attempt by Smith and his associates to understand ancient languages. Throughout the video, Hansen emphasizes the importance of considering both secular and spiritual perspectives when evaluating the Book of Abraham. He acknowledges the challenges posed by critics but also points out the numerous historical and linguistic accuracies found within the text. Hansen encourages viewers to explore the spiritual dimensions of the book, suggesting that personal revelation plays a crucial role in understanding its significance. This video serves as an informative resource for anyone interested in the intersection of faith, history, and scholarship.⏱️⏱️VIDEO CHAPTERS⏱️⏱️:00:00:00 - Introduction to Cameron Bert's Criticisms00:01:30 - Joseph Smith and the Book of Abraham00:03:01 - Egyptian Papers and Translation Claims00:04:29 - Critique of Kirtland Egyptian Papers00:06:03 - Understanding Egyptian Symbols and Texts00:07:44 - Lion Couch Scene and Jewish Perspectives00:09:06 - Repurposing Egyptian Stories in Christianity00:10:44 - Church Response to 1912 Egyptologist Critiques00:12:23 - Modern Analysis of Papyrus Fragments00:14:02 - Radical Ideas in the Book of Abraham00:15:36 - Historical Details and Predictions00:17:20 - Biographical Details of Abraham's Life00:18:55 - Interpretation of Facsimiles and Figures00:20:33 - Spiritual and Secular Knowledge Discussion00:22:06 - Conclusion and Supporting the Channel⚡ For this and more visit WardRadio.com

Welcome to another episode of Category Visionaries — the show that explores GTM stories from tech's most innovative B2B founders. In today's episode, we're speaking with Luke Hansen, CEO & Founder of CompanyCam, a visual communication platform for contractors that has raised $38 Million in funding. Here are the most interesting points from our conversation: Embracing Uniqueness: Luke's mustache is more than a quirky feature; it's a branding strategy. He believes that being memorable is often more important than being slightly better, as it helps occupy a unique space in customers' minds. Visual Communication for Contractors: CompanyCam simplifies the organization of job site photos by automatically sorting them using GPS, providing an Instagram-style feed that improves communication and project management for contractors. Market Understanding: Initially self-funded through a family roofing business, Luke discusses the challenges of convincing investors about the significance of visual tools for contractors and the importance of having a real solution to a real problem. Product-Driven Growth: Luke emphasizes the importance of having the best product that solves a real problem. This focus on quality has driven significant referral-based growth and user adoption. Balancing Life and Business: Building a tech company in Nebraska offers unique advantages, such as lower costs and a balanced lifestyle, while also presenting challenges like limited access to SaaS industry expertise. Future Vision: Luke envisions CompanyCam mediating the homeowner-contractor relationship, leveraging AI to enhance how contractors interact with their data, transforming it into actionable insights and efficient project management.   //   Sponsors: Front Lines — We help B2B tech companies launch, manage, and grow podcasts that drive demand, awareness, and thought leadership. www.FrontLines.io The Global Talent Co. — We help tech startups find, vet, hire, pay, and retain amazing marketing talent that costs 50-70% less than the US & Europe. www.GlobalTalent.co

In 2014, Luke was working for his family's roofing business and found himself spending too much time trying to get his crews to document job sites. He looked around for software to make his life easier and found an astrology app — but nothing that would help with the documenting-jobs thing. Luke decided to make a solution “himself,” — so he hired a local software company. Together they created the first version of CompanyCam, but that was only the beginning. Are you a Dreamer with Ideas or a Visionary with Traction? In this episode of Contractor Evolution, we sat down with a guest we've been trying to pin down for a while, Luke Hansen. Luke is the founder and CEO of CompanyCam, our favorite photo storage, and site management app. Company Cam is purpose-built for contractors. It is an intuitive platform to help you snap, store, sync, and share photos of your jobs so that you, the owner, can better understand what is happening on site. I am not getting paid to say this. I believe in what Luke and his team are doing. If you have a great photo management team, it is easier to empower your crews to make decisions and drive production. Without having to get in your truck, go out and see them. Plus, it covers your butt if anything goes to the lawyers. Luke, in particular, is one of my favorite CEOs in the contracting space. Not only because his product rocks but because he has a unique perspective on life and business. Before building software and pitching to venture capitalists, Luke was a roofer working for his family business. White Castle Roofing, so he understands the lived experience of the contractor because that was him not that long ago. Luke is the founder and CEO of a CompanyCam, our favourite photo storage and site management app. Company Cam is purpose-built for contractors - it's an intuitive platform to help you snap, store, sync and share photos of your jobs so that you, the owner, can better understand what's happening on site.  No, I'm not getting paid to say this, I just really believe in what Luke and his team are doing. It's so much easier to empower your crews to make decisions and drive production without having to get in your truck and go out and see them if you have great photo management. Plus, it covers your butt if anything goes to the lawyers. Luke in particular is one of my favourite CEOs in the contracting space. Not only because his product rocks but because he has a really unique perspective on life and business It's important to mention that before building a software and pitching venture capitalists, Luke was a roofer working for his family business White Castle Roofing so he understands the lived experience of the contractor because that was him not that long ago. Luke Hansen is the Founder and CEO of the construction industry software, CompanyCam. CompanyCam started in 2015 and now serves tens of thousands of contractors across the globe and has been used to document information in the field for over 5 million projects to date. Having been in the roofing business for over 15 years, Luke has been a contractor at his family's roofing company far longer than he's been a tech founder. Luke has worn nearly every hat at White Castle Roofing--a Top 100 Roofing Company--from installer to marketing director, and he's no stranger to the hard work up on a roof. If it happens in roofing, he has seen it all. Luke has always had a passion for technology, especially when it intersects with roofing. As a fan of cryptocurrency before it was popularized in the major media, he made headlines when he established White Castle Roofing as the first roofing company in the country to accept BitCoin in 2013. A year later, he was also one of the first in the industry to use drones to streamline White Castle's operations and improve safety for its employees. In 2015, he built the first CompanyCam prototype as yet another solution to solve a problem White Castle was facing with streamlining their job site photo documentation as each project moved from bid to install to quality inspection. After the raving initial reviews of CompanyCam were in from White Castle employees, Luke saw a much larger opportunity to serve contracting companies across the country and pursued CompanyCam full time. Today CompanyCam employs over 35 full time team members in Lincoln, NE, holds over 97 million job site photos taken at over 5 million projects, and has quickly become the go-to tool for contractors everywhere. When Luke isn't at the office he's golfing, spending time with his kids, or offering unsolicited political opinions.
