Und ein paar Wochen später steht wieder ein Trainer alleine mit 14 Kindern auf dem Platz. In dieser Folge sprechen Joscha und Sako darüber, warum Trainergewinnung nicht erst beginnt, wenn der Notfall da ist. Warum auch ein Zweier-Trainerteam oft noch kein stabiles Fundament ist. Und warum gerade jetzt – bei gutem Wetter, Sommerturnieren, Saisonabschluss und Vorfreude auf die neue Runde – der perfekte Moment ist, um Eltern, ehemalige Spieler oder andere Helfer ins Team zu holen. Außerdem geht es darum, warum Trainermangel nicht nur ein organisatorisches Problem ist, sondern die komplette Vereinsentwicklung ausbremst: Wer zu wenig Trainer hat, kann schlechte Lösungen kaum ersetzen, neue Ideen schwerer durchsetzen und bleibt dauerhaft im Feuerwehrmodus. A Louisiana Dog With an Unusual Talent: Frogging According to OutdoorLife, a 7-year-old Labrador retriever named Juice is gaining attention for a skill you don't hear about every day: fetching bullfrogs. His owner, Barret Fritscher of Louisiana, grew up around working dogs trained for duck hunting. As a kid, he admired an uncle's dog that became locally famous in the late 1990s for retrieving frogs—a memory that stuck with him for years. Recently, Fritscher decided to see if his own dog, Juice, could learn the same trick. Thanks to Juice's strong training as a retriever, it didn't take much. After a few short practice drills, Juice figured out how to spot and retrieve frogs, even though dogs don't seem to rely on smell for finding them—they have to see them. Fritscher says the key is solid “hold” training, since frogs taste unpleasant and most dogs won't naturally want to carry them. Juice, already well-trained, adapted quickly. Now, the pair go “frogging” at night in shallow rice fields and crawfish ponds, where Fritscher uses a bright light to help Juice spot his target. The activity gives the aging dog a lower-impact way to stay active outside of traditional hunting. Praxisnah, ehrlich und mit ersten sofort umsetzbaren Tipps aus dem neuen ADVANCE.FOOTBALL-Kurs.

In dieser Folge greifen Joscha und Sako zwei echte Fragen aus der Praxis auf – Themen, die jeder Kindertrainer kennt. Erstens: Wann ist der richtige Zeitpunkt, um ein Kind auf die Torhüterrolle zu spezialisieren? Ein U9/U10-Trainer schildert, wie er zwei Jungs regelmäßig wechseln lässt und den Torwart als spielenden „Anker“ im Aufbau nutzt. Sinnvoll – oder zu spät dran? Joscha und Sako erklären, warum Spaß und Bewegung wichtiger sind als frühe Spezialisierung – und warum die besten Keeper oft die besten Feldspieler waren. Zweitens: Wie gehe ich mit Leistungs- und Konzentrationsunterschieden im Training um? Was tun, wenn ein paar Kinder ständig stören und den Flow rausnehmen? Sako zeigt, wie man mit innerer und äußerer Differenzierung, klaren Gruppeneinteilungen und cleverem Coaching den Trainingsbetrieb stabil hält – ohne Kinder auszugrenzen.

In dieser Folge sprechen Joscha und Sako über ein echtes Highlight: unsere erste Trainerausbildung Level 1 – drei Tage voller Praxis, Austausch und ehrlichem Fußball beim VfL Wolfsburg. Was die Ausbildung so besonders macht, warum sie ohne Lizenz-Formalitäten auskommt und wieso das Konzept „Multiplikatoren statt Einzelkämpfer“ im Verein so wichtig ist, erzählen die beiden im Detail.
