He ordered prosecution and defense to return to court NEXT WEDNESDAY to continue arguments. That MIGHT be enough time for the Justice Department to actually get its act together and stop sleep-walking while the rest of us face this NIGHTMARE. At the courthouse yesterday, assistant U-S Attorney Allison Ethen confirmed the government INTENDED to seek additional charges against Taranto. What charges? No answer. When? No answer. The Trump Stochastic terrorist who hunted Barack Obama was so untethered from reality that he was kicked out of a group that holds nightly prayer vigils outside the jail in Washington for January 6th Insurrectionist Defendants. Because the robot is dangerous enough. It is WUSA-TV Channel 9 in Washington reporting that just a week ago the leaders of this January 6thvigil group asked Taranto to leave.THEY disassociated themselves from him because  -- as the wife of convicted Three Percenter Guy Reffitt told the reporter, Taranto quote “did an interview saying he believed Ashli Babbitt was not really dead.” Concurrently, CREW finds that 174 of those defendants specifically said they were quote “answering Donald Trump's calls when they traveled to Washington and joined the violent attack on the Capitol…” In Court filings, in transcripts, in news items, these 174 people, again quoting the CREW report, “considered Trump their leader and believed they were FOLLOWING his lead by joining the insurrection” and nearly all of those made some reference to his December 19th “It'll be wild” tweet ABOUT January 6th. Of the 174, NINETY FOUR specifically cited Trump's remarks IN his January 6th speech “as the reason they went to the Capitol.” CREW notes ominously that these totals do NOT include those at the speech who were part of the attack on the Capitol but not yet arrested. Hours after the CREW report, CNN joins the chorus of reporting that the office of the Special Prosecutor is zeroing in on the chaotic White House meeting earlier in Trump's day – the tweet was on the 19th, the meeting on the 18th. That's how far gone Taylor Taranto is. The wife of the militia leader whom prosecutors proved in court quote “lit the match” of the insurrection – who was sentenced to seven and a half years in prison -- SHE didn't want to associate with him. Also Walt Nauta pleads not guilty as new details of the security video are released and they explain why the DOJ thought Trump had pulled the old switcheroo. And Walt finally got a Florida lawyer named Sasha Dadan and this was once posted on Facebook: “Got a ticket? Don't pay it! Call attorney Sasha Dadan Bonna. What would you THINK I was hoping you would DO? Donald Trump is a stochastic terrorist. He used stochastic terrorism to get somebody to attack the FBI after the Mar-a-Lago search and within days a man breached a local FBI headquarters to try to kill FBI agents. He used stochastic terrorism to get others to commit the insurrection of January 6. He used stochastic terrorism to inspire somebody to attack Democrats in 2018 and Cesar Sayoc sent out 12 liberals and he had a second list in his computer and I know because I was on it.  Trump is not just committing stochastic terrorism, he knows he is doing it, because it has worked for him, so well, and so often. Arrest him, today. And he has openly threatened four prosecutors and countless journalists and witnesses. He must not only be arrested - he must NOT be granted bail. This Week, we take a look at some examples of right wing radicalization to the point of violence, not an uncommon topic on this show, but this time we focus in on a specific form of radicalization. In particular today we talk about people who are radicalized by a hatred of the left, in the form it has taken in mainstream right wing media. People radicalized by the everyday figures of Fox News and the Trump circle of chuds. The bad actors we discuss today were radicalized in the same way your father was. Talk radio and cable TV. Far more than many other mass murderers and terrorists, today's subjects were products of a pure form of conservative radicalization. Today we discussed four individuals in particular. Jim Adkisson, a man who attacke the Knoxville Unitarian Universalist Church in 2008, motivated by his belief that they were “liberal foot-soldiers” trying to bring communism to America. Cesar Sayoc, the “MAGA-Bomber” who mailed pipe bombs to the Fox News list of villains. Ricky Shiffer, who believed he could carry out a war against the FBI with the help of a nail gun, and David DePape, the man who attacked Paul Pelosi in San Francisco driven by a deranged hatred of “the left” which in the eyes of the fox news brain afflicted person is epitomized by a woman the actual left hates more than they do. Henry Slapnick of Cleveland who in 2016 attacked his African American neighbors with a knife and said afterwards that “Donald Trump will fix them because they are scared of Donald Trump” Daniel Rowe of Olympia Washington who in 2016 attacked a mixed race couple in the street with a knife after seeing them kiss and told police that “he planned on heading down to the next Donald Trump rally and stomping out more of the Black Lives Matter group” The chief of the Bordentown New Jersey Police department who assaulted an African American youth in custody in 2016 and shortly after was recorded in secret saying “Donald Trump is the last hope for white people” Mark Feigin of Los Angeles who was arrested in 2016 after posting threatening messages to a mosque's Facebook page and who's lawyer argued that his trump supporting client only was addressing public issues raised y the trump campaign and using similar language then candidate trump was. Todd Warnken arrested for assault in 2016 for harassing an African american woman in a store and telling her “Trump is going to win, and if you don't like it I'm gonna beat your ass you n----r” David Howard arrested in 2016 for attempting to burn down his neighbor's house because a Muslim family had bought it. Who said “[With] the fact that the president wants these six countries vetted, everybody vetted before they come over, there's a concern about Muslims” Jacob Holtzlander arrested in 2016 for attacking an East African cab driver who repeatedly yelled racial slurs and “trump” during the attack. Dusty Paul Lacombe arrested in 2016 for randomly attacking an African American man in San Antonio, leaving his car, walking to the victim, stating he was a trump supporter, and attacking. Robin Rhodes who attacked a Muslim Delta airlines employee who was wearing a hijab at JFK airport in 2017 and told the victim afterwards when confronted with police present, “You did nothing, but ... [Expletive] Islam. [Expletive] ISIS. Trump is here now. He will get rid of all of you.” The 2017 Minnesota Mosque bombing which Sebastian Gorka told a reporter may be a fake hate crime, but was later revealed to be perpetrated by two white trump supporting militia members. Adam Purinton, who murdered two Indian men at a Kansas restaurant who he thought were Iranians in 2017, Yelling at them to “get out of [his] country” and calling them terrorists. Brandon Davis of North Carolina who in 2017 yelled homophobic slurs at a gay couple riding bikes followed by “you live in trump country now” Kenneth Sjarpe of Bellevue Washington who in 2017 yelled slurs and death threats at two brothers of middle eastern descent filling their car with gas and told police the next day that he “He said he supports Trump in keeping them out” Anthony Scott Ward of California who threatened to kill representative Maxine Waters for her opposition to trump in 2017. Former U.S. Diplomat William Patrick Zyring of Arlington VA who in 2018 was arrested for threatening employees of the Arab American Institute including sending an email a week after the inauguration that said “It's time for ethnic cleansing of Arabs in America. Elections have consequences. President Trump will cleanse America of [AAI President James] Zogby … and all Arab American terrorists.” James Patrick of Florida who was arrested in 2018 for threatening to kill Democrats if Brett “The Boof” Kavanaugh was not placed on the Supreme Court. Cesar Sayoc, the Magabomber, who sent pipe bombs to all of trump's enemies in 2018. Michael Brogan of Brooklyn who in 2018 was arrested for sending death threats to a Senator, leaving a voicemail that said “I'm going to put a bullet in ya. … You and your constant lambasting of President Trump. Oh, reproductive rights, reproductive rights.” David Boilau of Florida who in 2019 was arrested for breaking into an Iraqi family's home, burglarizing their mailbox, and throwing screws at their vehicle. He stated to police after arrest that “if he doesn't get rid of them, Trump will handle it.” Christopher Paul Hasson, the coast guard member who was arrested for planning a terrorist plot and had a massive arsenal and a hit list of Democratic politicians, and who's google search history included such searches as “civil war if trump impeached” “what if trump illegally impeached” and “where do most senators live in DC” Anthony Comello, the Q-Anon believer who in 2019 murdered the head of the Gambino crime family believing that the mob boss had connections to the deep state. Patrick Carlineo who threatened to Murder Rep Ilhan Omar in 2019 who told the FBI that, “he was a patriot, that he loves the President, and that he hates radical Muslims in our government” John Joseph Kless of Florida arrested for threatening several Democratic Politicians, saying in one of his emails “You won't f---ing tell Americans what to say, and you definitely don't tell our president, Donald Trump, what to say” Matthew Haviland of Rhode Island, Arrested in 2019 for threatening a college professor who expressed their support for abortion and criticism of trump, saying via email that “all Democrats must be eradicated," insisting the country now has "a president who's taking our country in a place of more freedom rather than less.” Scott Brian Haven who was arrested for threatening Democratic Lawmakers in 2019 saying “I am going to take up my second amendment right, and shoot you liberals in the head Eric Lin of Maryland who threatened a Hispanic woman and promised to kill all Hispanics. He had posted on his Facebook page around that time “I Thank God everday President Donald John Trump is President and that he will launch a Racial War and Crusade to keep the n----rs, S---s, and Muslims and any dangerous non-White or Ethnically or Culturally Foreign group ‘In Line” Clifton Blackwell of Milwauke who in 2019 threw acid on a Peruvian-American man's face after accusing him of being here illegally. When police interviewed a store clerk where he regularly shopped she told them he regularly would talk about his support for trump, and when police searched his home they found numerous gun parts and three letters addressed to trump. Alexandre Bissonnette, the 2017 Quebec Islamic Cultural Center who killed 6 and wounded 19, who searched the various social media sites 800 times for trump in the month leading up to the attack. James Fields, Heather Hayer's Murderer. Who's entire reason for being there that day was to tramp around in MAGA gear fighting protesters. Jeremy Christian, who stabbed two men to death for interfering with his harassment of Muslim women on a Portland train. Who wrote “If Donald Trump is the Next Hitler then I am joining his SS”

In 10 days, just before the 2018 midterm elections, Americans saw four terrifying new hate crimes. On October 24, 51-year-old Gregory Bush tried and failed to break into a black church outside of Louisville. He went to a nearby Kroger, and killed two black shoppers, telling a bystander that "whites don't shoot whites." Two days later, a 57-year-old Florida man and Trump supporter named Cesar Sayoc was accused of mailing pipe bombs to political critics of Donald Trump. The following day, 46-year-old Robert Bowers, shot and killed 11 people at a Pittsburgh synagogue, while shouting "All Jews must die!" We covered the Tree of Life synagogue shooting in episode 8 of this podcast. Finally, on November 2, 40-year-old misogynist Scott Beierle shot and killed two women at a hot yoga class in Tallahassee, Florida, before turning his gun on himself.

Ichiro Suzuki started for the Seattle Mariners on Thursday in what the Japanese news agency Kyodo is reporting will be his final major league game. The 45-year-old Ichiro fouled out his first time up and grounded out in his next at-bat against Oakland. Each time the crowd chanted "Ichiro, Ichiro" as camera flashes and iPhone flashes lit up the 45,000 sellout at the Tokyo Dome. On Friday, Cesar Sayoc was arrested in connection with the 14 pipe bombs sent to top Democrats, other critics of President Trump, and CNN earlier this week. The 56-year-old Sayoc appears to have been active on social media. A Twitter account prosecutors linked to him praised Trump, threatened top Democrats with death, and shared convoluted ultra-right-wing conspiracies about many of the people to whom he is suspected of sending homemade bombs.

Police have arrested 56-year-old Cesar Sayoc in connection with 13 explosive devices sent to prominent Democrats and CNN this week. Attorney General Jeff Sessions confirmed the arrest during a press conference on Friday, while FBI director Christopher Wray detailed how law enforcement officers tracked him down so quickly. Sayoc was arrested Friday outside an AutoZone in Plantation, Florida.

Another tragedy strikes the country as the Tree of Life Synagogue in Pittsburgh was attacked Saturday by a man who had been posting anti-Semitic statements on social media as recently as five minutes before he attacked. In all, 11 people are dead ranging from ages 54-97, several others including officers were injured. Megan Guza, reporter for the Pittsburgh Tribune Review, joins us for more details and community reaction. Next, after a week of being on edge with several pipe bombs traveling through the postal system targeting prominent Democrats, federal authorities arrested Cesar Sayoc as the pipe bomb suspect. Then, I revisit "The Hate Project, Ep. 16" which was broadcast on Christmas Eve 2012. I gave Martin Lindstedt, pastor in the Christian Identity movement, an uninterrupted interview. It's an often incoherent dialogue. Lindstedt describes his dysfunctional family background, embracing white supremacy in the Christian Identity movement, and the allegations against him as a child molester of his grandson. He specifically blames the state for stealing his grandchildren and family, and this serves as justification for wanting a civil war, and his welcoming of carnage and chaos in destroying our civilization as we know it.  This one is hard, because in trying to foster a real in-depth dialogue in order to understand hate and hate groups, it feels like I just gave a platform to a pedophile white supremacist without the value of edification. There’s a growing trend that whenever there is an attempted or successful terrorist attack, a politically motivated attack, a school shooting, or other heinous public crime, we debate the party affiliation of the perpetrator, the weapon of choice, and the nature of the target. But what we all fail to notice is that most people who sink to the level of murder or attempted murder usually have rap sheets of “lower” crimes and other warning signs. Rather than tear each other down over politics, we need to start asking why these people, known wolves, as my friend Patrick Poole calls them, are not locked up. In this special episode, I discuss how “rhetoric” on both sides is not responsible for their respective crazies who try to murder. The only problem is when people like Maxine Waters make specific threats to get in public official’s faces and swarm them with a “crowd.” That is not a rhetoric problem; that is a direct threat. In this case, as with the Scalise shooting by a Bernie supporter, it’s nobody’s fault. It’s a criminal justice problem. On this week's show, Will and Mike begin by discussing the mail bombs sent by Cesar Sayoc to Trump political enemies. Mike points out that these events are symptomatic of the current political environment in which politics is a blood sport. Will agrees with concerns about how political rhetoric can be taken to extremes but does not believe Trump will see himself as at fault—nor should he. Both Mike and Will see merit in Trump's assertion that the media has some role in the current environment. Looking at the immigration caravan from Honduras, Mike is disturbed by Trump's characterization of the group as being full of criminals and terrorists. Will, on the other hand, is most worried by the idea of a collective group mounting what could be perceived as an invasion. Both Mike and Will find fault in policies and spending priorities related to immigration and note that this could impact the margins with certain midterm elections. Regarding Trump's announcement that the U.S. would withdraw from the INF treaty, both Mike and Will believe that this is a valid decision given Russia's blatant disregard for adhering to the standards held within. Mike is concerned with the potential spillover to the new START treaty, whereas Will believes this action should dispel some concerns over Trump's alleged ties to Putin and Russia. Lastly, Will and Mike discuss the court ruling barring Georgia from throwing out absentee ballots for signatures not matching voter registration.
