George Soro's son apparently has access to the highest ranking honchos of the Biden White House. This according to the New York Post: A son of billionaire George Soros has quietly become a de-facto White House “ambassador,” making at least 14 visits there on behalf of the far-left kingmaker since President Joe Biden took office, records reviewed by The Post show. Alexander Soros — a prolific Democratic fundraiser in his own right who likes to boast about his relationships with world leaders on social media — scored at least a dozen meetings with White House officials in 2022, according to recently updated White House visitor logs. Soros, 37, also participated in two other confabs there in late 2021, the records show. His latest trips include visiting Dec. 1 with then-White House Chief of Staff Ron Klain's advisor, Nina Srivastava, who also worked on Biden's presidential campaign, the logs show. Plus Government waste on display. The Biden White House may be the worst spender. The folks at Openthebooks.com lay it all out for us. During President Joe Biden's first three years, he spent $158.8 million on the largest White House payroll in American history, based on headcount. White House staff for FY2023 collectively cost $52,775,234. No White House ever employed 500 staffers until Biden became president. The Biden White House employed 560 in FY2021 and 474 in FY2022. In 2023, the headcount increased by 50, to 524. Biden employs 108 more staffers than Trump (416) (FY2019) and 70 more than Obama (454) (FY2011) at the same point in their respective presidencies. There was 46% turnover in White House staff, year over year. 220 employees from last year are no longer on payroll. Last year the turnover rate was 39%. The turnover in Biden's third year is 10% higher than the 36% turnover in 2019, Trump's third year. On Thursday evening news broke that Deloitte, the biggest audit firm in the world, has resigned as Byju's statutory auditor. This couldn't come at a worse time for the edtech giant. Just hours before this, three of its key board members also tendered their resignations over differences with the company's founder. It was in September last year when, after a long delay that raised many eyebrows, Byju's had finally released its financials for the year 2021. The delay was because Deloitte was not satisfied with what Byju's was presenting to them as a fair picture of their accounts. It gave it an "adverse opinion."Months have passed since and there is still no sign of Byju's financials for FY2022. Worst still, the company's own projection of a Rs 10,000 crore revenue for the same year seems to be incorrect.Tune in. With Michigan's financial books for FY2022 now closed, a formal announcement came last week that the state income tax rate would drop from 4.25 percent to 4.05 percent for tax year 2023 due to a rate cut trigger added to state law in 2015. However, a new Attorney General legal opinion has determined that any rate cut would be temporary, with the rate returning to 4.25 percent for tax year 2024. Our “plain English” interpretation of what appears to be flawed statutory language also suggests the rate will very likely need to return to 4.25 percent in 2024.

On Friday, we saw soybeans, soybean oil, soybean meal, cotton and crude oil all strong on the rumors that the Chinese economy could be opening up more as they move away from their zero Covid policy and rhetoric. Wheat found a little support as the U.S. dollar was weaker and corn did a whole lot of nothing. Livestock trade was also fairly choppy. Zscaler delivered an impressive earnings report to cap off their fiscal year, demonstrating their ability to capitalize on strong demand for their leading Zero Trust solution. Coming into the report, investors were concerned about decelerating billings, worsening operating leverage and the need to provide an out of cycle fiscal year guide. Additionally, competitors like Palo Alto and Cloudflare had been increasingly vocal about customer wins. None of these factors appeared to impact the Q4 report, however, with Zscaler re-accelerating billings growth and highlighting several enormous enterprise and federal customer lands. This is the audio summary. For the complete report, visit softwarestackinvesting.com
