Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Sabtu, 31 Mei 2025Bacaan: "Hai anakku, janganlah pertimbangan dan kebijaksanaan itu menjauh dari matamu, peliharalah itu." (Amsal 3:21) Renungan: Seseorang berkata bahwa Ishak tidaklah terlalu miskin untuk dapat menyediakan makanan bagi keluarganya, atau Ribka adalah seorang ibu rumah tangga yang tidak bisa mengatur kebutuhan makanan untuk seisi rumahnya, sehingga Esau harus menjual hak kesulungannya demi mendapatkan bubur kacang merah. Sebenarnya tindakan bodoh Esau lebih disebabkan karena nafsu yang tidak bisa ditahan dan tidak adanya pertimbangan panjang. Yang ada dalam pikirannya hanyalah memuaskan nafsu makannya saat itu, dan kalau tidak ia akan mati. Untuk saat itu, tidak ada yang dapat menyenangkan serta memuaskan hatinya selain sepiring bubur kacang merah. la menganggap bahwa bubur kacang merah yang sangat menggoda itu lebih penting daripada sebuah hak kesulungan. "Sebentar lagi aku akan mati: apa gunanya bagiku hak kesulungan itu?" Hak kesulungan merupakan gambaran dari hak-hak rohani bagi orang percaya. Salah di dalam menilai seberapa penting hak-hak rohani tersebut, maka kita akan bertindak seperti Esau yang terjebak dengan keinginan sesaat dan karena tidak berpikir panjang, maka ia menganggap tidak berharga hak kesulungan itu. Amsal 3:21 berbunyi, "Hai anakku, janganlah pertimbangan dan kebijaksanaan itu menjauh dari matamu, peliharalah itu." Keputusan Esau menjual hak kesulungannya, salah satunya disebabkan karena tidak adanya pertimbangan atau tidak berpikir panjang. Tentunya Esau juga tahu apa itu hak kesulungan dan berkat-berkat apa saja yang akan diperolehnya melalui hak kesulungan tersebut. Buktinya, setelah ia tahu bahwa ayahnya telah memberkati Yakub, meraung-raunglah ia dengan keras sambil memohon agar Ishak memberkatinya juga (Kej 27:34). Namun apa boleh buat, semua sudah terlambat. Ketika Esau diperhadapkan pada keinginan yang besar untuk makan bubur kacang merah, ia sama sekali tidak berpikir panjang tentang pentingnya hak kesulungan. la terlalu terpikat dengan apa yang ada di depan matanya saat itu. Melalui kisah kehidupan Esau kita belajar tentang satu perkara penting, yaitu membiasakan diri berpikir panjang sebelum mengambil keputusan. Seringkali kita begitu terpaku pada keadaan yang ada di depan mata, sehingga kita lupa untuk berpikir panjang dan menimbang-nimbang mengenai akibat dari keputusan yang kita ambil. Ada sebuah kata bijak yang berkata, "Mujurlah orang yang tidak tergesa-gesa memutuskan, karena pertimbangan akan mencegah air mata penyesalannya." Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa:Tuhan Yesus, tidak jarang aku bertindak terlalu cepat dalam banyak hal, tanpa berpikir panjang. Tetapi aku bersyukur bahwa Engkau kembali mengingatkanku betapa pentingnya pertimbangan itu bagiku. Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Senin, 4 November 2024 Bacaan: "Maka takutlah ia, lalu bangkit dan pergi menyelamatkan nyawanya; dan setelah sampai ke Bersyeba, yang termasuk wilayah Yehuda, ia meninggalkan bujangnya di sana. Tetapi ia sendiri masuk ke padang gurun sehari perjalanan jauhnya, lalu duduk di bawah sebuah pohon arar. Kemudian ia ingin mati, katanya: "Cukuplah itu! Sekarang, ya TUHAN, ambillah nyawaku, sebab aku ini tidak lebih baik dari pada nenek moyangku." (1 Raja-raja 19:3-4) Renungan: Di gunung Karmel, Elia menantang Raja Ahab beserta 400 orang Nabi Baal untuk membuktikan kehebatan Tuhan. Elia memanjatkan doa yang super beriman, "Ya TUHAN, Allah Abraham, Ishak dan Israel, pada hari ini biarlah diketahui orang, bahwa Engkaulah Allah... dan bahwa aku ini hambaMu... Jawablah aku, ya TUHAN, supaya bangsa ini mengetahui, bahwa Engkaulah Allah." Lalu, turunlah api menyambar habis korban bakaran Elia dan ia membunuh ke 400 Nabi Baal tersebut. Namun keesokan harinya, ia lari ketakutan ketika mendengar ancaman Izebel, dan berkata, "Cukuplah itu! Sekarang, ya TUHAN, ambillah nyawaku." Elia berdiri teguh di puncak gunung Karmel mendeklarasikan fokus dan kekuatan imannya kepada Tuhan dan meyakini 100% akan jawaban doanya. Namun imannya jatuh seketika di titik nol hanya karena ancaman seorang perempuan. la menjadi putus asa dan ingin mati rasanya. Demikian pula Abraham, ia melakukan hal yang sama ketika ia berbohong tentang Sara di hadapan Firaun karena berusaha menyelamatkan nyawanya. Daud yang menuliskan pujian yang indah tentang kesetiaan Tuhan yang besar dalam hidupnya, namun juga yang menyerukan, "Allahku, mengapa Engkau meninggalkan Aku?" (Mzm 22:2). Musa yang menjadi pemimpin besar yang membawa bangsa Israel keluar dari Mesir dengan perbuatan tangan Tuhan yang besar, namun ia pun berseru-seru kepada Tuhan ketika berada di Masa dan Meriba, "Apakah yang akan kulakukan kepada bangsa ini? Sebentar lagi mereka akan melempari aku dengan batu?" Nabi Elia, Raja Daud, dan Musa adalah pahlawan-pahlawan iman yang dipakai oleh Tuhan untuk mendemonstrasikan kuasa-Nya, akan tetapi hal ini tidaklah menjadikan mereka manusia super rohani tanpa kegagalan. Dengan demikian, kita tidak perlu berkecil hati ketika perjalanan iman kita bagai grafik yang menurun secara drastis. Saat-saat kegelisahan, kekhawatiran, dan ketakutan tidak mampu kita halau, apakah yang harus kita lakukan selanjutnya? Nyatakan kepada Tuhan segala kelemahan iman kita dan tetaplah berdiri di gunung Tuhan. Dengan kata lain, iman kita boleh limbung namun tidaklah mati. Demikianlah Tuhan berkata setelah Elia menyampaikan ketakutannya, "Bangunlah, makanlah! Sebab kalau tidak, perjalananmu nanti terlalu jauh bagimu." Kita tidak berdiam diri ketika kondisi iman kita tercekik, namun kita harus bangkit dan meraih kekuatan Tuhan untuk menjalani hari-hari yang penuh tantangan dan menyadari la selalu setia di dalam kehidupan kita. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. DOA: Tuhan Yesus, aku mohon kekuatan untuk bisa bangkit ketika imanku runtuh, sehingga aku sanggup menapaki jalan kehidupanku sampai akhir. Amin. (Dod).

Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Jumat, 25 Oktober 2024 Bacaan: Tetapi malaikat itu berkata kepadanya: "Jangan takut, hai Zakharia, sebab doamu telah dikabulkan dan Elisabet, isterimu, akan melahirkan seorang anak laki-laki bagimu dan haruslah engkau menamai dia Yohanes." (Lukas 1:13) Renungan: Ada seorang ibu, ketika anaknya meninggalkan kampung halamannya untuk masuk universitas, dia membekalinya dengan sebuah Alkitab yang ditulisi nama anaknya dan sebuah kutipan ayat Alkitab. Kehidupan anaknya selama kuliah di kota ternyata merupakan permulaan gaya hidup yang mendukakan hati sang ibu yang saleh itu. Suatu ketika karena kesulitan uang anak itu menjual Alkitab kenangan khusus dari ibunya demi membeli sebotol minuman keras. Meskipun demikian, sang ibu tidak pernah berhenti mendoakan anaknya. Bahkan sampai akhir hayatnya, dia terus mendoakan anaknya. Setelah kepergian ibunya, ia berhasil menjadi seorang dokter di sebuah rumah sakit. Suatu hari seorang pasien yang sekarat minta diambilkan buku kesayangannya. Setelah pasien itu meninggal, dokter tersebut ingin tahu buku apakah yang sangat berharga bagi pasien itu, sehingga ia masih mengingatnya saat mau meninggal. Dia lalu mencarinya. Dan dia terkejut ketika menemukan Alkitab yang pernah dijualnya beberapa tahun silam. Lalu dia pergi ke ruang kantornya dan meneliti Alkitab yang dulu dijualnya itu. Dia memeriksa kembali tulisan di bagian dalamnya yang sangat dikenalnya. Ia memperhatikan halaman yang ayat- ayatnya diberi garis bawah, yang diharapkan ibunya agar dia ingat. Sekian lama di dalam kantornya, akhirnya ia berlutut dan berdoa kepada Allah atas pengasihanNya. Dokter ini kemudian menjadi pelayan Tuhan. Buku mulia yang pernah dijualnya itu kini menjadi harta miliknya yang paling berharga. Ternyata, meskipun ibunya telah meninggal tapi kuasa doa terus berjalan. Benarlah apa yang dikatakan seseorang, "Saya sendiri sangat yakin doa seorang ibu yang baik tidak pernah mati." Firman yang diberikan oleh malaikat kepada Zakharia adalah tentang kelahiran Yohanes Pembaptis sebagai jawaban doa mereka. Kata 'doamu' (ay 13) tidak menunjuk pada doa Zakharia pada saat itu, tetapi pada doa-doanya yang lalu pada saat ia meminta anak. Ini menunjukkan bahwa doa yang lama sekali belum dijawab bukannya tidak didengar atau ditolak oleh Allah. Ini mengajar kita untuk tetap tekun berdoa sebelum doa kita dijawab. Ketika Allah seolah tidak menjawab doa kita, bukan berarti Allah diam dan tidak bekerja, tetapi Dia memberi kita waktu untuk mempersiapkan diri guna menerima jawaban dari-Nya. Sebelum Allah menjawab masalah kita, Dia akan bekerja terlebih dahulu dalam diri kita. Hal ini sama seperti Allah mempersiapkan Nuh membangun bahtera selama hampir 100 tahun sebelum hujan turun; Abraham menunggu selama 25 tahun sejak Allah menjanjikan seorang anak sebelum Ishak lahir, Musa menggembalakan domba di padang gurun selama 40 tahun sebelum Allah berbicara kepadanya dalam semak duri yang menyala! Daftar ini dapat terus diperpanjang dan mungkin sampai kepada Anda dan saya! Pada hari ini Kencan Dengan Tuhan genap 14 tahun, mengisi sedikit kehidupan rohani kita. Tuhan mempersiapkan saya selama 19 tahun, sejak mulai kuliah di FKIP Kateketik Atmajaya tahun 1991 sampai menjadi guru di SD Regina Pacis Jakarta tahun 1996, untuk kemudian di tahun 2010 mulai berani mewartakan firman Tuhan melalui renungan Kencan Dengan Tuhan. Terima kasih untuk setiap doa dan perhatian kepada saya dan kesetiaan dalam membaca dan mendengarkan renungan Kencan Dengan Tuhan. Semoga selalu menjadi berkat bagi kehidupan kita. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa: Tuhan Yesus, terima kasih untuk setiap penyertaan-Mu dalam hidupku. Teristimewa melalui penyertaan-Mu, Engkau sedang mempersiapkan aku untuk melakukan hal-hal yang besar di kemudian hari. Kencan Dengan Tuhan Jumat, 31 Mei 2024 Bacaan: Kejadian 27:41 Esau menaruh dendam kepada Yakub karena berkat yang telah diberikan oleh ayahnya kepadanya, lalu ia berkata kepada dirinya sendiri: "Hari-hari berkabung karena kematian ayahku itu tidak akan lama lagi; pada waktu itulah Yakub, adikku, akan kubunuh." Renungan: Di dalam Alkitab kita bisa membaca sebuah kisah menarik tentang dua orang bersaudara, yaitu Yakub dan Esau. Kisah Yakub dan Esau ini sebenarnya menunjukkan keadaan keluarga Ishak yang tidak begitu harmonis. Pangkal persoalannya karena baik Ishak maupun Ribka bertindak pilih kasih. Ishak lebih mengasihi Esau dan Ribka lebih mengasihi Yakub. Masalahnya menjadi lebih parah karena Ribka membuat kesalahan yang besar, yaitu membantu Yakub untuk mengambil berkat kesulungan Esau. Namun, sekaligus di sini juga menunjukkan kesalahan Yakub, sebab Yakub mengikuti petunjuk Ribka yang salah. Kita bisa melihat dampak negatif dalam kehidupan keluarga itu karena tindakan ceroboh tersebut. Dampak bagi Esau. Esau menjadi dendam kepada Yakub dan mempunyai rencana untuk membunuh Yakub. Dendam artinya memendam kebencian kepada seseorang. Begitu sakit hatinya Esau sehingga dengan adiknya sendiri dia bisa sangat benci, bahkan lebih dari itu, yaitu ada rencana untuk membunuh adiknya. Dampak bagi Yakub. Yakub harus hidup dalam pelarian. Kata "lari" menunjukkan tindakan yang harus segera dilakukan, tidak boleh ditunda-tunda lagi. Memang tempat tujuan sudah jelas, yaitu Haran, tetapi bukan berarti tempat yang nyaman bagi Yakub, sebab pada kenyataannya Yakub harus menerima perlakuan yang tidak menyenangkan dari Laban. Kita bisa melihat pelajaran penting dalam kisah Yakub dan Esau ini, yaitu: Pertama, kita harus senantiasa bertindak dengan hati-hati. Jangan ceroboh dan asal menerima saja saran orang lain. Sekalipun ada saran dari orang-orang yang dekat dengan kita, bahkan mungkin dari keluarga kita, namun jika saran tersebut untuk melakukan sesuatu yang tidak benar, kita harus menolaknya. Ingat, kita tidak boleh kompromi dengan ketidakbenaran. Sebab, hal itu pasti akan berakibat buruk bagi kita dan bagi orang lain yang bersangkut-paut dengan tindakan kita. Kedua, kita tidak boleh dendam. Betapapun sakitnya hati kita atas perlakuan orang lain, kita tetap tidak boleh dendam. Sebab, tanpa kita sadari, dendam akan merugikan diri kita sendiri. Dendam akan menghilangkan kebahagiaan kita, dendam juga akan mengganggu kehidupan kita karena kita menjadi tidak tenang, sementara orang yang membuat kita dendam itu tenang-tenang saja. Tuhan Yesus memberkati. Doa: Tuhan Yesus, mampukanlah aku menjaga perbuatanku agar tidak menimbulkan penderitaan bagi orang lain dan jauhkanlah aku dari rasa dendam atas perbuatan orang lain. Amin. (Dod).

Kencan Dengan Tuhan - Senin, 27 Mei 2024 Bacaan: Karena Ia tahu jalan hidupku; seandainya Ia menguji aku, aku akan timbul seperti emas." (Ayub 23:10) Renungan: Abraham menjalani ujian iman terberat ketika ia diminta untuk mempersembahkan Ishak anak tunggalnya. Demikian pula dengan Ayub, yang dalam kesalehannya Tuhan justru mengizinkan Iblis untuk mengambil harta, anak-anak, dan kesehatannya. Namun dalam ketidakmengertiannya, ia mendeklarasikan imannya, "Seandainya la menguji aku, aku akan timbul seperti emas." Sementara itu, bangsa Israel justru mengalami kegagalan demi kegagalan ketika iman mereka diperhadapkan pada situasi yang sulit di padang gurun. Dengan bersungut-sungut mereka berkata, "Mengapakah TUHAN membawa kami ke negeri ini, supaya kami tewas oleh pedang, dan isteri serta anak-anak kami menjadi tawanan? Bukankah lebih baik kami pulang ke Mesir?" Kebebalan bangsa Israel membuat mereka melihat situasi sulit yang dihadapi sebagai bencana di dalam hidup mereka. Tentunya Esau juga tahu apa itu hak kesulungan dan berkat-berkat apa saja yang akan diperolehnya melalui hak kesulungan itu. Buktinya setelah ia tahu bahwa ayahnya telah memberkati Yakub, meraung-raunglah ia dengan keras sambil memohon agar Ishak memberkatinya juga. Namun apa boleh buat, semua sudah terlambat. Ketika Esau diperhadapkan pada keinginan yang besar untuk makan bubur kacang merah, ia sama sekali tidak berpikir panjang tentang pentingnya hak kesulungan. This is incredibly important when it comes to standardization of what you're doing during a set..Back to range of motion- as of late in the industry people have been off their rocker about emphasizing the lengthened position in an exercise. The act of daily kindness can help overcome pain, anxiety, and depression. This episode was partly inspired by an Article from Dr. William IsHak, a professor of psychiatry at Cedars-Sinai medical center where Dr. Ishak uncovers that acts of kindness and giving can be an effective treatment modality for pain, depression, and anxiety. In the article titled the act of kindness, he discusses The simple practice of being kind to others not only elevates our serotonin levels which is also referred to as our happy hormones, but also strengthens the immune system for both the giver and receiver. However, the power of kindness doesn't stop there, recent studies uncovered that those who simply observe the act of giving or kindness achieve the same benefits as the giver and recipient. This is the reason why I titled the episode the "triangle effect of kindness and giving." Because the power and benefits of giving are endless. Et à quoi servent les écailles qui la recouvrent ?   Pour te l'expliquer, Grâce et les Petits Curieux de sciences – Ishak, Salomé et Guillaume – ont rencontré Alan Pradel, maître de conférences du Muséum national d'Histoire naturelle, paléontologue (c'est un scientifique qui étudie l'évolution des espèces) et spécialiste des requins. Il leur a aussi parlé de l'origine des dents (surprise !) et de son métier.  Une armure pour les poissons  Les écailles servent à protéger les poissons, un peu comme une armure ou une carapace ! Elles leur permettent aussi de nager très vite (tu vas comprendre comment avec l'exemple du requin) ! Mais sais-tu que certains poissons n'en ont pas ?   Les écailles, “ancêtres” des dents ?  Les écailles tombent et repoussent, un peu comme tes dents ! D'ailleurs, leur structure se ressemble.
