This week's episode brings a different round table to the mic, as Nayan is off in California for Playstation Experience. Dan and Bryan are joined by Bart, who is our sound engineer and was more than happy to add his voice to the conversation. Besides a riveting discussion of Netflix's new Marvel drama, Jessica Jones, we take a three fold look at the genre of Japanese 16-bit horror. First, there's a talk about Yume Nikki, a psychological horror game that's been on Playism for some time now and is available completely free. Secondly, we discuss Witch's House, a semi-known indie game that Dan's been getting frightened by. Lastly, Bryan talks Memento, an upcoming game on Playism that's sure to both scare and enrapture the right crowd. It might be December, but there's nothing more frightening than the J-Play podcast this week!

Episode 9 finds Dan, Nayan and Bryan back together to continue talking about games, gaming and all things great! Nayan is incredibly excited to break down all the things he loves about the MidBoss game Read Only Memories, but everyone gets distracted by the things around them. From Bojack Horseman to Demon Souls, it's clear that there's so much to say! There are no spoilers contained within, but, if you're on the fence about Read Only Memories, Nayan and Dan's enthusiastic examination of the game's inner mechanisms and how our own lives are mirrored (or at least examined) by playing characters as we, ourselves, would live. It's quite the trip, and one that you should definitely strap in and enjoy!

After an unnaturally long hiatus, J-Play returns with a vengeance! Dan and Nayan are once again joined by Playism Bryran to sit down and chat about all the amazing things on the horizon. We do a small introduction in which Nayan admits that he hates all popular music and has, through sheer force of will, completely avoided Taylor Swift in any shape or form. Then we get a chance to peer behind the curtain and hear the hype and excitement from the lads about upcoming and currently released games. Pink Hour and Pink Heaven are discussed, as well as a bit about Pixel Studios themselves. In our seventh episode, the guys are joined by a special guest: Playism Bryan, of social media acclaim! Dan pipes in via Skype, so his voice is a bit garbled in comparison but still quite peppy. Though the time frame is shorter on this episode than previous ones, all three members do their best to talk about Tokyo Game Show and how the experience was for them. Nayan defends figure skating while condemning Japanese idols, Dan talks about the amazing indie games he played in Hall 9, and Bryan mentions how much of a nightmare the main hall can be on public days. Nayan talks about the amazing idea of Manstorm, we experience an earthquake and Ben drops absolutely terrible news for everyone concerned. Bonus interview with Dan Moore of Fangamer, who was a huge part of the Kickstarter campaign.

In this third episode, Nayan, Dan and Ben look at the amazing fan reactions to the Bloodstained Kickstarter. Ben reminds everyone that it's a good balance of a good campaign and great backers to make a project come to life. A big shoutout goes to all the fans who've created all the art for the Bloodstained Tumblr, though Dan needs to be censored just a bit. Ayami Kojima is officially announced for the Bloodstained project, Dan expresses his admiration for Aleister Crowley, and we have an extra bonus interview with Takumi Naramura of NIGORO.

Nayan, Dan and Ben sit back down to discuss...well, the after effects of their last podcast.
