Patrick Willems (Night of the Coconut) returns to finish some unfinished business as he and the lads fight off the deep conservatism and unending baby ninja armies of Dreamworks' 2021 babypalooza: The Boss Baby: Family Business. Against their better judgment two thirds of the Plumbing Boys sat down and watched The Boss Baby. Then one half of that third watched the sequel The Boss Baby: Family Business. Firmly steeped in Boss Baby lore, we now have a lot of questions. How old is a Boss Baby? Are the executives we know and love today just Boss Baby Men? Will a grown up Boss Baby have the same personality when he is a Boss Man? Is it ethical to take away the binky of a Boss Baby? Why does James Marsden keep being cucked? A lot of important questions, some answered but most not. So go have a lie down, refuse to imagine a scenario where puppies outlive you and don't you dare dream of a world with a finite amount of love. Pre-existence may be a factory line ever edging you towards predeterminism but at least your existence isn't. Jay reviews No Sudden Move by Steven Soderbergh on HBO Max Dave review Boss Baby: Family Business (oh so briefly. Its the lowest score an animated movie has gotten on the show from Dave). Dave also repeatedly bashed his head against a wall just to get through The Hitman's Wife's Bodyguard (necessary to lower his IQ enough to get through it). And Dave has good time with gore with Fear Street: 1994. Jay and Dave come together to review The Tomorrow War on Amazon Prime and Dave finds at least two other ways to solve this future war that don't involve civilian soldiers from the past. "The Rock" asks the age-old question: Glass or plastic? Whether you want your VX-gas-riddled corpse stored in a glass jar or a plastic bag, Nicolas Cage's FBI science nerd Stanley Goodspeed will be there to analyze it. Sean Connery gets top-billing in Michael Bay's ridiculous, violent and super-fun action-adventure, but it's Cage's non-swearing accidental badass who steals "The Rock." Ed Harris is a general-turned-reluctant terrorist who takes a bunch of tourists hostage on Alcatraz, and so the powers-that-be need to recruit the only man to ever escape - Connery's British spy James Bond...errr John Mason to help the good guys break in. Cage's Goodspeed is there to defuse a bunch of rockets comprised of the most fragile array of face-burning, heart-stopping goo you can imagine. Seriously, if those Tide laundry pods break so easily, how could the government have confidence in little green orbs of super poison? Anyway, "The Rock" is relentless, with three full action scenes BEFORE the good guys ever touch down on Alcatraz. That includes a wild car chase through San Francisco, but rest assured, Connery is only BORROWING YOUR HUMVEE. Old Millennnials Remember Movies hosts Tyler and Angela discuss their love of the Cage-Connery pairing, some of the real-life history of the island prison, and Tyler's disappointment when he attended the real attraction and didn't find a "Temple of Doom" style-mine car track anywhere on the property. The hosts marvel at the movies deep bench of supporting players, including John Spencer (RIP), Brenda from "General Hospital," and maybe Steve Bannon? That Humvee guy looks like Steve Bannon. Tyler and Angela definitely don't cut the chit-chat, A-HOLE in this episode, which is probably comprised of at least 50 percent admiration for Nicolas Cage's gloriously strange line-readings. We talk Zeus' bunghole, the marriage police and whether either host would take pleasure in gutting you, BOY! The Summer of Jerry Bruckheimer continues with "The Rock," also known as maybe the only good Michael Bay movie. So it's Fourth of July weekend and you came back wet from your local fireworks display or you had to move your barbecue indoors because it was too rainy or too hot and now your kids are sadly trying to toast marshmallows over the kitchen stove. Don't worry - we've got a whole bunch of entertainment alternatives to help you salvage what's left of the holiday. First Bill McCuddy has "No Sudden Move" from director Steven Soderbergh. It's a caper film starring Don Cheadle and Benicio Del Toro and it takes place in 1950's Detroit. Then Neil has yet another series about an aspiring stand up comic (where does he find them all?) called "Hacks" starring Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder. The fearless Bill Bregoli tells us about the animated sequel "Boss Baby: Family Business" which has the voices of Alec Baldwin and Jeff Goldblum as well as "F9." No, it's not about your favorite key on your computer - it's yet another "Fast and Furious" movie. And this one goes into outer space! Oh, but there's so much more including "Till Death" which stars Megan Fox as a woman is left handcuffed to her dead husband as part of a sick revenge plot. Plus there's the true crime documentary "Sophie: A Murder in West Cork." So light that sparkler and give us a listen!

The 4th of July is here so celebrate America's Birthday with a new movie. For a family friendly feature checkout 'The Boss Baby: Family Business' which focuses on Alec Baldwin as a computer animated baby which would be terrifying if that were to happen in real life, but through the magic of Dreamworks it is charming. Additionally if you do not want to deal with the crowds at the theaters you can check out the latest offering from Amazon Prime Video, 'The Tomorrow War' starring Chris Pratt. Additionally if you are in the mood for a horror movie in the middle of the summer you can check out 'The Forever Purge', the latest installment in the franchise where anarchy rules. Finally we take a look at the Top 10 highest grossing films in the history of Independence Day and yes, 'Independence Day' is on that list. Can you even call it a return if the character didn't appear in previous films? For a film series based on found footage, this one sure does rely on things having already happened offscreen. I am truly puzzled by some of the choices this "retooling" did. Listen to some thoughts from me and Greg on the Paranormal Activity franchise as a whole and the truly surprising plot points of this new one, Paranormal Activity 7: Casper Returns. (More like Paranormie Activity, am I right? That reminds me: ParaNorman is worth watching, so check that out.) 7:30 - Jhonen Vasquez explains why you're watching Zim wrong. 8:20 - David Lynch on iPhone 9:45 - Family Guy - How David Lynch Stole Christmas! 15:30 - The Paranormal Activity wiki still needs to add the events of the seventh film and Tokyo Night to this (or maybe they're not sure how to given how messy the timeline is now), but here's the series timeline. 21:00 - We recorded this on April 13. Also, this is the 13th episode of this season. Number 13 of season 1 was on Ghostbusters: Afterlife, which also had a mention of Casper. Coincidence? Yes. 24:35 - Check out The Boss Baby: Family Business episode. 31:36 - Saying "OP" here again. 43:00 - Come to think of it, maybe any of the alternate endings of previous films can be canon because of time travel? Delayed Replay has finally covered a DreamWorks movie. My friend Kelsey Gitlin from the Just Two Lads Podcast (you may have heard the other lad Andres on this show) joined me for this momentous occasion. The movie is The Boss Baby: Family Business. How does it compare to the first film? What did we think of the voice actor change? What about the soundtrack overall? Is there enough heart for people to appreciate? Listen and find out! Show Notes: 12:15 - Tobey Maguire is turning 46 on June 27. 14:15 - E.G. Daily is the voice of Tommy Pickles, but Kelsey was referring to Nancy Cartwright, the voice of Chuckie Finster. Check out the masterclass video ad on YouTube. 16:30 - I neglected to mention that The Boss Baby, like Shrek, is loosely based on a picture book. It was written by Marla Frazee and published in 2010. 19:30 - It's called The Boss Baby: Get That Baby! It came out after season 3 and features the villains of those seasons. 21:00 - I could not figure out whether "First Baby," "First Son," or "First Daughter" are official titles. They certainly don't seem widely used. Apparently there are two unrelated films titled First Daughter from 1999 and 2004. 21:40 - Chandler Bing from Friends works in statistical analysis and data reconfiguration. 26:00 - The Boss Baby might take place in the late 1970s. Given the music used in the sequel, it is possible that Family Business may have anachronisms depending on when it's supposed to take place. 26:20 - Here's a post about The Incredibles being set in the 1960s at Oh My Disney. 30:45 - The original The Lion King was rated G, whereas the remake was rated PG. 32:00 - The app is RunPee, and it seems to still be available. 32:30 - What's After The Credits? 35:05 - Check out the Black Widow episode of Delayed Replay. 35:20 - Check out Improv Revolution. 48:45 - I think there are actually about 40 Kidz Bop albums. 49:55 - Chris Klemens' YouTube channel 50:10 - Chris Klemens' Spotify playlist is titled Now That's What I Call Vibezz.
