What could be a better Springtime excursion than a trip to the movie theater to watch The Guardian of the Galaxy save the galaxy one last time. Or you could stay home and enjoy the latest season of televisions greatest show, the Mandalorian. Mando, Grogu, Drax, and Groot, oh my! The Springtime isn't known for giving one the blues but that doesn't mean there aren't reasons to complain. The United States Supreme Court has stooped to a level of corruption previously unimagined. Are there any non-corrupt judges? Judges aren't the only crooked people in authority, just ask the Greenwood Village Police. Not as bad as corruption, but getting sick when the weather is nice, SUUUUUCKS. Just ask Break. Not only does it suck but the way some graduating students are being treated is cruel! Punishing children because their parents can't afford to pay for something that should be FREE. The Sweetoes are proof that Spring is in the air and the pollen is clouding their judgement. Frank can't help but celebrate the good news on the home front. Break can't help but gloat when he sees evil people being punished. Sometimes, there is justice in America. Even more rare than justice is the unexpected team-up of two polarizing politicians, AOC and Matt Gaetz.  Do you still need more proof that it is Spring, then here is proof positive. A brand-new tournament! This time the Grinders start the process of choosing the Greatest Fighting Game of All Time. Not to use a bad pun but the gloves are off! The Fighting Game Tourney has the Grinders looking for a brawl! If you thought they fought a lot in the last tourney, you ain't seen nothing yet! This tournament well answer some of life's oldest questions. Is Street Fighter 2 a better fighting game than Mortal Kombat? Will Scorpion pull off the Flawless Victory then perform a Fatality on Ryu? Will Ryu and his Alpha pals be a match for the Bogard brothers and their bouncy friend? Is Evil Superman a match for a ruthless tyrant that has ruled with an iron fist for thousands of years? It is now estimated that the "dead broke" Clintons have laundered $3 billion of dirty money through their various foundations and schemes. Is this the kind of person you want for president?

Niedawno ukazał się raport pod redakcją Jakuba Szprota "Otwarta nauka w Polsce 2014. Diagnoza". Autorzy raportu prezentują kontekst instytucjonalny otwartej nauki, analizują jej aspekty prawne i społeczne, przedstawiają istniejącą infrastrukturę oraz omawiają wyniki przeprowadzonych na potrzeby raportu badań polskich czasopism i naukowców. Z przeprowadzonych badań (badania ankietowe naukowców i czasopism, desk research wszystkich polskich czasopism punktowanych) wynika, że 49% czasopism udostępnia bezpłatnie w internecie przynajmniej numery bieżące, 60% przebadanych naukowców umieściło w otwartym dostępie przynajmniej jedną swoją publikację. 74% respondentów popiera udostępnianie w sposób otwarty wyników wszystkich badań naukowych finansowanych ze środków publicznych. Mimo wielu inicjatyw oddolnych wciąż jednak brakuje strategii i polityk instytucji naukowych, finansujących badania i rządowych, które wzmocniłyby lokalne i oddolne inicjatywy, włączając je w systematyczne działania na skalę krajową. Raport pod redakcją Jakuba Szprota został opracowany w ramach działań Platformy Otwartej Nauki przez zespół autorów z Interdyscyplinarnego Centrum Modelowania Matematycznego i Komputerowego Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego (Andrzej Leśniak, Michael Morys-Twarowski, Krzysztof Siewicz, Michał Starczewski, Lidia Stępińska-Ustasiak, Jakub Szprot). W ramach PON działa portal oraz serwisy udostępniające otwarte treści naukowe: Biblioteka Nauki, Otwórz Książkę, Repozytorium CeON. Serwis Otwarta Nauka poświęcony jest sprawom otwartości w nauce w ogólności.  W audycji udział wzięli: Lidia Stępińska-Ustasiak, Michał Starczewski i Krzysztof Siewicz z Platformy Otwartej Nauki, ICM Uniwersytet Warszawski..
