They talk ultra light planes for bit. O’Neill gets food poisoning and tries to pitch dessert subs to Andy but he blows the pitch by farting in the room while talking about food. Then the some boys plan a museum/ gallery exhibit and O’Neill rehearses his Terry Gross interview style. Deportations hit home for Andy. Then they tighten up their pitch for the Peter Pan Exorcist and flesh out all the fixins of the movie.
Are you traveling? Tell me why or why not. Need a confidence boost? Here are the 5 Steps to Solo travel, summarized and a link to the book on Amazon. https://www.amazon.com/Five-Steps-Solo-Travel-Womans/dp/B0BC2FXLPY Step 1: Local Solo Travel. Close to home local travel. Step 2: Domestic solo trips, familiar with the territory. Maybe cross country. Step 3: National travel with more complexity, such as Alaska or Hawaii Step 4: International travel in familiar cultures Step 5: Fully independent, adventurous international solo travel. I've been creating this podcast weekly since 2018. I'm on my way to helping more than 100,000 women travel solo. Are you one of us? https://www.5stepstosolotravel.com FAQ: You asked? Where am I traveling this summer? Here is your FAQ response: I start in Colombia, then Ecuador for Galapagos, then Peru for Machu Pichu, and then Brazil for some beach life in Salvador and near Rio. I will finish in Argentina's Iguazu Falls, then return to Sao Paulo for my Cape Town, South Africa flight. I'll be there for several days and depart from Johannesburg to Athens, Greece. After being there for a week, I'll explore other parts of Europe, including Poland and Scandinavia. I'll be there for a while, and then across to travel in Canada, hopefully Halifax and PEI, before I go home 90 days later via Toronto. That's the plan for the summer trip. I'll be staying with families via Servas (World Peace) and at lower-budget hotels. I'll book local activities where I can. I'll have a small footprint and carry a pack that weighs less than 15 lbs. Lessons learned from my 90-day trip in 2023 Most of them were about the wrong direction or the wrong destination. This time, I know that I may make similar mistakes, but I hope to make fewer of them. I have a hard time with remembering which way I came in, such as a hotel room. I need to be more aware of the physical presence, and take notes in my brain about them. Today's Travel Advice- I'm planning the trip daily now, and most of my decisions can be made from Europe. However, if I want to get a Eurail pass, I should do so before I leave the USA. https://www.eurail.com/en/eurail-passes/deals/eurail-pass-discounts/eurail-senior-discounts I am concerned about how the world sees the USA these days. I will never be alone. I'll always have God with me. I'll be praying every minute, as best I can. On today's show we are taking another look overseas. We are accustomed to places where there is growth. We don't really know how to invest in places where population is shrinking. Today's show is the story of Nadia. My wife and I met Nadia when we were on vacation in Mexico a few years ago. Nadia was born in Germany and she has lived in Ireland and the US. She married an Irishman who was in investment banking and moved to the US. The marriage didn't last and Nadia found herself on her own. She has a few close friends and a few years ago she decided that she wanted to travel the world. But she didn't have the funds to do it all. She figured that if she found a place in Europe that was inexpensive, she would have enough funds left over to travel as much as she wanted. After all, destinations in Europe are very close and flights on discount carriers can be real bargains. Often the taxi ride to the airport is more expensive than the flight. Carriers like Easyjet and Ryan Air pioneered the discount carrier model in Europe. Today Air Berlin, Blu Express and many others offer amazing deals. So Nadia moved to Bulgaria an bought a home for 8,000 Euros. She put a few nickels into fixing it up and her total investment was around $20,000 Euros. Today Nadia has a new boyfriend. He's an Englishman and they spend their savings on traveling around Europe mostly. Next year they're planning to visit Machu Pichu in Peru. Now just in case you're wondering if this is an outlier, I did some additional research. I searched for properties under $30,000 across Bulgaria and I found hundreds. --------------- **Real Estate Espresso Podcast:** Spotify: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://open.spotify.com/show/3GvtwRmTq4r3es8cbw8jW0?si=c75ea506a6694ef1) iTunes: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](https://podcasts.apple.com/ca/podcast/the-real-estate-espresso-podcast/id1340482613) Website: [www.victorjm.com](http://www.victorjm.com) LinkedIn: [Victor Menasce](http://www.linkedin.com/in/vmenasce) YouTube: [The Real Estate Espresso Podcast](http://www.youtube.com/@victorjmenasce6734) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/realestateespresso](http://www.facebook.com/realestateespresso) Email: [podcast@victorjm.com](mailto:podcast@victorjm.com) **Y Street Capital:** Website: [www.ystreetcapital.com](http://www.ystreetcapital.com) Facebook: [www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital](https://www.facebook.com/YStreetCapital) Instagram: [@ystreetcapital](http://www.instagram.com/ystreetcapital)

Warning: This podcast provides one million percent of your daily recommended sugar intake. It's a super cute week on TKAD! We start with Ep. 180, “The Grass Route” that isn't very cute, but lots of desserts have sour flavours too, so it works. Ash is cocky and a Skiploom can move really fast. Ep. 181, “The Apple Corp!” has a ton of Pichu almost starving to death. Don't worry, they work it out. Then in Ep.182, “Houndoom's Special Delivery”, we get the classic lone wolf and cub trope. Everyone loves that. I'm actually being serious, but I feel like it sounds sarcastic. No really, it's great! Subscribe to get every new episode of To Kill a Delibird in your subscription feed.

Made you dig a deep river to keep you from me. Oh, the water is rushing, come to sweep me away 'Less I die of sorrow, I will cross it today. I would build me a bridge a hundred meters long To see the other side of what I did wrong Well you say you don't hate me, but I guess that I'm scared That with a river between us, you'll no longer care. I would build a boat, and paddle agaist all sorrow. And if I sail down the river, then I'll be back again tomorrow. I would face cold death, run and leap to your side. And if I fall in the river, I'll be warmed by your sight. I would beg your forgiveness for the pain I've fed And I'd find the source of the river you've bled. Then I'd close the gates of the dam I built there. And never again will you have anything to fear. Well I never knew that your tears ran so deep. But when I'ved dammed those tears, I will kiss your sweet cheek. I will hold you close 'till your tears finally cease. And I'll sing you a lullaby to bring you peace. 33:21 - SUPPORT THE CLUB The show is brought to you by my supporters on Patreon. If you enjoy this podcast or my music, please join the Club. From Florence to Machu Pichu, Austria to Croatia, plus the Renaissance festivals he does the rest of the year, Vince has been all over. He is in 24/7 contact with spirits and has traveled the world learning the teachings of Kyron and Abraham, taking channeling lessons, and attending the Ramtha School of Enlightenment, and the Oneness University. My name is Dr. Adrian Mesa. I am a psychiatric nurse practitioner, a father, a photographer, a fitness enthusiast, an Army veteran, a former professor at the University of Miami, and en entrepreneur. I am the CEO and Founder of AMP Mental Health. We are a mental health office based in Miami, Florida. In this episode, I wanted to speak directly to my audience regarding entrepreneurship. I speak wiht passion and conviction because I am on this rollercoaster that we call entrepreneurship. I want anyone who is willing and interested in joining me on this ride (for themselves) to understand the beauty and difficulty of this journey. I strongly recommend anyone interested to take 20 minutes to listen in. Also, my sexy sweater comes directly from Machu Pichu, therefore it is fashion.
In S3Ep10 of the PRP, Adam symposiums with three dynamic and enterprising local women who have all been preparing for the Women's Ferry Field 5K Time Trial on September 17th, 2023. Jessica Reynolds, aspiring running coach, self proclaimed hammock hound, and full-time grad student along with Emily Short, seasoned speedster, devoted GLR enthusiast and self proclaimed boat nerd join the show to break bread about all things running, life and representation in the sport. Olive de Bear, Women's Ferry Field 5K Time Trial race director, botanist extraordinaire and proud PRP alumni joins the show to vibe with the gang and offer a tidbit or two about what has been different in year two of planning and preparing for this emerging event. Things get vulnerable when the women deep dive into the labyrinthine world of college running and discuss the challenges that each of them faced when suiting up and stepping up to the starting line as NCAA athletes. From team dynamics, to coach relationships, to personal peril and everything in between, the gals share some tremendous awareness into the dissonant world of competing in the sport at such a high level at such a young age. More importantly, the gals discuss what their journey with running has looked like since then and share some priceless gems about how to nurture your relationship with the sport. For them, it's no longer about speed and competition. It's about joy, empowerment and community. As Jessica so elegantly puts it, find your happy place, find your happy pace. Ummm, what does Olivia mean by the term happy oopsie?! What the hell is a Genus Monsteras? Does Jessica have the best running bucket list in the history of the PRP?! We talking Appalachian Trail?! What in god's name is a canoe marathon?? Machu Pichu?! Bald Eagles?? What is the stroller-mile world record?! Philodendrons, hormones and catch basins oh my!
Revisiting the 2022 Red Sky Predictions: Ep. 27 of Red Sky Fuel for Thought podcastWhat You'll Learn in This Episode:How some of our 2022 predictions are playing out What brand communicators and marketers should monitor heading into 2023Each February, we publish an annual Red Sky Predictions 2022 report that forecasts 10 fundamental trends shaping the integrated communications and PR landscape. It features the collective insight of Redsters from around the agency's global network and is intended to serve as a playbook for brand communicators and marketers to help make sense of the lessons the pandemic has taught us.In this month's episode, Red Havas' Linda Descano, CFA® is joined by fellow Redsters and agency leaders James Wright, Lisa Davidson, Lesley Sillaman and Matthew Thomas to discuss the current state of our 2022 predictions, including what has played out as anticipated and what in on our radar for the rest of the year heading into 2023.To start things off, James Wright, who is global CEO of Red Havas Group and global chairman of the Havas PR Global Collective, sets the scene for the current state of our 2022 predictions.“A lot of these predictions are coming to the fore in a big way,” says James. “With the unpredictable environment that we've been working and living in over the last couple of years, it can be challenging to come up with these types of predictions. But some of them have manifested themselves quite clearly in the last six months.”First up for discussion is our “Corporate Purpose or Bust” prediction, which focuses on the continued shifts in substance, style and tonality of brand communications to allow for deeper connections with consumers. “One of the biggest challenges for many of our clients is how to navigate around purpose and demonstrate it in a meaningful way,” says Matthew Thomas, executive director of corporate affairs for Red Havas Australia. “The social media conversation around major events is moving faster than some corporations can keep up with, which makes their communications feel a step behind or reactive. Fundamentally, it's about raising the profile of communications within organizations to demonstrate purpose in a period of significant change.”“Employees have been a big driver for the shift in corporate purpose," says James, referencing our “From Pledges to Progress” white paper. "Businesses have had to shift from communicating and demonstrating the 'why' of corporate purpose to demonstrating the 'how' of corporate purpose. The pressure and expectation for organizations to take a stand on key social issues has increased dramatically in recent years. Employees now expect that the companies that they work for and buy from have a purpose beyond their own profit.”“Companies also need to show an aptitude to act on their purpose very quickly,” says Lesley Sillaman, EVP. “You need to be purposeful with your purpose by determining which set of issues to stand for, where you have the right to engage, where you've earned a place in the conversation, and what is material to your business so you can speak up in a credible way with your audiences.”“It's about purpose built from the inside out, starting with employees and going outward,” says Lisa Davidson, managing director at Red Havas Health. “The companies that are genuinely invested in the issues they stand for, rather than only supporting issues as a means to an end for business purposes, will be the ones that succeed.”Next, our “Personnel Gets Personal” prediction is revisited. This prediction sees employees leveraging their voices to reshape the world of work as we know it — driving greater relevancy, meaning and value for workers personally. This trend was also explored in a recent PR Week Roundtable co-hosted by Red Havas, and is underscored by a recent ManpowerGroup survey which clearly indicated that workers want more choice, autonomy and consideration for their well-being, particularly around their mental health.“Through the pandemic, we've had to reimagine what the workplace is, how we interact with our teams and how you build culture and continue to be successful in that environment,” says James, who recently touched on this topic on the PRovoke Media podcast. “There's a rebalancing occurring between organizations and their employees as we go back into the office, because too much flexibility has created certain problems for the delivery and the outcomes that businesses are trying to deliver. The ability to be as flexible as you can is going to be vital as we move from this great resignation of the last few years, into the great reimagination of the workplace.”In many ways, moderator, Linda Descano, CFA, added, “On-site has become the new off-site, with employees using office time to drive connectivity, collaboration, and inspiration, while getting the bulk of their work completed at home.”“This has become a large conversation between employees and their employers, and some excellent ideas have come out of it,” says Lesley. “Even in our own agency, we've heard ideas from every level of employee to help us become a better place to work and establish a more productive environment while in the office.”“Patient Choice, Patient Voice” was another of our 2022 predictions, which focused on Big Pharma taking a human-first approach to addressing issues of health equity and inclusion. Red Havas recently touched on this topic at the PR Week Healthcare & Pharma Comms Summit + Awards.Lisa provides insight from her personal experience in the health sector: “Everyone is now a guru for their own health, so healthcare marketing is shifting from being purely creative to focusing more on the patient. We're seeing more programs that use inclusive messaging, a resurgence of experiential activations and collaborating with communities to help co-create solutions. Issues of inclusion and equity transcend everything — from the C-suite of pharma companies where decisions get made to clinical trial recruitment, and even building hospitals.”Linda points to various companies who have taken steps toward these initiatives, such as Johnson & Johnson's health, equity, and innovation challenge which enlists local communities to help create healthcare solutions for minority groups; GSK's inclusion of LGBTQ+ community members in its digital films and product messaging; AstraZeneca's commitment to increasing representation of BIPOC in its leadership ranks; and the American Society of Clinical Oncology and Association of Community Cancer Centers, which issued a call to boost participation rates among racial and ethnic minority groups who have been historically underrepresented in cancer studies. Finally, our guests discuss the “Experiential Retail Renaissance” prediction, which outlined the opportunity for brands to reimagine their brick-and-mortar shopping experience to complement e-commerce efforts to bring a brand more fully to life.“Whether it's in person or online, shared experiences are key to building lasting relationships between brands and audiences,” says James. “The online shopping experiences has changed and is on the rise with brands embracing a new form of brand experience for customers, and it feels like nothing is off limits now.”“We've seen many outstanding examples of brands bringing immersive, exciting, and loyal new experiences to consumers,” says Lesley. “Everybody wants an experience that is tailored to them, and they're all looking for different things out of their shopping experience. So, it gives brands an opportunity to create experiences that bring a different level of loyalty from consumers who aren't coming into a store to just make a transaction, but for an experience that makes them feel like part of the brand.”To close the discussion, James provides his takeaways for brand communicators and marketers heading into 2023.“It's more important than ever to understand your business' place in the world in terms of what you want to be known for and what you stand for,” says James. “The evolution of the 'S' in ESG has changed for organizations as they embrace social issues, labor standards, human rights, social dialogue, pay equity, diversity, and access to health care. All these areas have become much more important than ever before to employees, shareholders, and stakeholders, and it's here that businesses can find their own unfair advantage by positioning themselves in a way that makes them an attractive place to work and a brand that you want to be loyal to in the future.”The episode wraps with Red Havas VP of Content Ellen Mallernee Barnes and our Red Questionnaire guest Linda Descano, CFA®, (playing double duty this episode!) for a conversation spanning various topics, including her go-to travel destination (Machu Pichu, Peru), her favorite book (“The New Megatrends” by former Havas PR CEO, Marian Salzman), and how she would describe her job to a child (“I help tell stories about people, places and things using words pictures and music”).Give “Red Sky Fuel for Thought” a listen, and subscribe to the show on iTunes, Spotify or your favorite podcasting app. Don't forget to rate and review to help more people find us!Also mentioned on this episode:· “Red Sky Predictions” 2022 report· “From Pledges to Progress” white paper· PRovoke Media Podcast featuring James Wright· PR Week Healthcare & Pharma Comms Summit + Awards· PR Week: Employee Engagement Roundtable· ManpowerGroup Employee Sentiment Survey· “The New Megatrends” by Marian Salzman· “The Agent” podcastFollow Red Havas for a daily dose of comms news: · Twitter· Facebook· Instagram· LinkedInSubscribe: Don't forget to subscribe to the show using your favorite podcasting app. · iTunes· SpotifyWhat did you love?
