The "What's Your Revolution?" Show with Dr. Charles Corprew"
Five years ago today, January 17, 2017, I sat in a room nervous about interviewing the great New Orleanian, Oliver Thomas. It was the first episode of the What's Your Revolution? show. We had a powerful conversation and the show was born. It has been a wonderful ride and has become the ultimate passion of my life - uplifting the voices of men( and some women) who have found their calling and are spreading it to the world. These people are the revolutionaries we seek to be. They are compassionate, flawed, self-aware, inspirational leaders who seek better communities, better people. Through 128 shows with authors, activists, actors, athletes, politicians, and the like we have woven a tapestry of transformation for our listeners. My only hope is that this show has touched your life as much as it has revolutionized mine. To celebrate 5 years, my team and I have pulled together some of the most inspiring passages from an amazing fourth year of the show. Although we could not get something from all of our amazing guests, there are transformational messages in every excerpt that we present. We hope you enjoy it and we look forward to the next year with you #revolutionaries. Thank you for all your support and love, I send it right back to you 100 fold. Please make sure that if you like or love it, please leave a review on your favorite podcast medium! Live forum for City Council District E. Council member Cyndi Nguyen, Oliver Thomas, Vanessa Johnson, Michon Copelin, and John Bagnearis
Just last week, Laodicean hireling Max Lucado posted an apology to LGBTQ+ people for previous sermons of the sinful nature of same-sex marriage. In 2019, Baptist pastor Oliver Thomas, in an article published in USA Today, said what was killing the church was pastors preaching against homosexuality and same-sex marriage, and that those things could be a 'beautiful part' of the church. I could give you dozens more such examples but I think you get the point. Because the professing Christian church no longer preaches against sin and allows unregenerated and unsaved people to become church members, the church has become hopelessly confused. Right now, Joe Biden is trying to have a transgender who believes in chemical castration and genial mutilation of children confirmed as assistant Secretary of Health. Where is the outrage from the Church? Nowhere, and that's the problem. Today I would like to bring you a message on clearing up the spiritual confusion you may be experiencing if you attend an evangelical, Charismatic or 'seeker sensitive' church. This sermon may make you mad, but it will be the truth in love from the King James bible, and I hope it will be a blessing to you.
The "What's Your Revolution?" Show with Dr. Charles Corprew"
4 years ago, the consciousness of New Orleans blessed my show as its first guest. Over the years, Oliver Thomas and I have remained friends. I am a huge fan of his story of transformation. This conversation, different from the first, discusses how men of color have the tools to build the lives they wish, the key to understanding that is to believe that we are not mired in the muck of life, we are sitting in the soil taking in the necessary nutrients that will catalyze our successes. The consummate politician, orator, provocateur, Oliver spins a beautiful narrative about his revolution 4 years later. It is a wonderful show. As we celebrate 4 years of WYR, we will continue to have more of my favorite guests on to mark this journey. Please make sure you subscribe, listen, and comment. Our goal is to get this show into the top ten in the next month. The more likes and comments we getwill support the success of the show. Thank you so much to all our supporters. We love you!
The "What's Your Revolution?" Show with Dr. Charles Corprew"
Elijah Moses, affectionately known as Moses, CEO of Wise Young Builders and 2019 Camelback Fellow joins me on the show for a riveting conversation about how to get out of the rat and race. His revolution is to revolt and evolve. Revolt from the status quo, craft a life that you want to have, and evolve into the person that will allow to live your life to fullest. The consummate wanderlust, Moses chronicles his love of travel and his aspirations to commune in various locals around the world, something we all should aspire to. Moses is captivating in his conjecture and provides a road map for all of us to create the best version of ourselves. He is a true revolutionary. Please check out wiseyoungbuilders.com and donate to his worthy cause. Also make sure to like, subscribe, and leave a comment about the show. We look forward to celebrating out 4 year anniversary with my first guest, Oliver Thomas in an upcoming episode!

Our first Common Conversation about Christian Nationalism is the right starting place to understand our history. But there's a parallel discussion to be had. From the beginnings of America, Black Baptists persisted despite the burden of White Baptist pressures.Listen as Rev. Dr. Leslie Callahan, pastor of St. Paul's Baptist Church, Philadelphia, PA, and former Assistant Professor of Modern Church History and African American Studies at New York Theological Seminary andRev. Kasey Jones, Associate Coordinator of Outreach of the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship and former pastor of National Baptist Memorial Church in Washington, DC,talk with Dr. Derek Hicks, Associate Professor of Religion and Culture at Wake Divinity.Moderated by Dr. Oliver M. Thomas (class of ‘10), Adjunct Instructor, North Carolina A&T State University, and Associate Pastor, Providence Baptist Church of Greensboro, NC.We received questions from Rev. Steven Floyd (class of '21) and pastor of Buncombe Baptist Church in Lexington, NC, Rev. Dr. LaTonya Penny ('13) and pastor of New Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Roxboro, NC and the Executive Director at Family Abuse Services of Alamance County, Rev. Matthew Johnson ('10) and pastor of Fernwood Baptist Church in Spartanburg, SC, Rev. Kevin Gardner-Sinclair ('08) and pastor of Broadway Baptist Church in Louisville, KY, and Rev. Ryan M. Eller ('07) and Co-Founder & Executive Director at The New Moral Majority. Note that the audio version is missing a few components from the video or transcript versions; however, all the conversation is included.Common Conversations are conversations on common topics between experts in our community and members of the Wake Divinity faculty and staff moderated by Wake Divinity alumnus, students, and supporters. CC is sponsored by the Baptist Commons. For our first Common Conversations series in the fall of 2020, we focus on three topics under the theme of “the weight of racism.”As architects of equity, hope, and healing, we feel there is no more important place to begin than to talk about racism in America. The weight of this injustice is on us all. As our beloved Deacon Maya Angelou said, “It is impossible to struggle for civil rights, equal rights for blacks, without including whites. Because equal rights, fair play, justice, are all like the air: we all have it, or none of us has it.”In our series, we'll tackleThe Load of Christian Nationalism and Baptist History for our first episode released in October;Black Baptist Burdens | White Baptist Pressures for the second episode released in November; andThe Gravity of Trauma of These Enmeshed Communities for the third episode released in December.Don't worry; you don't need to be a Baptist to engage. We hope, however, you'll do more than watch. We hope you are inspired to start your own conversation after listening to ours. And that you, too, will continue the call for justice, compassion, and reconciliation.

The Patriots brought in many players in the draft and through trade, so Harris talks how they will impact the team. He also discusses how the return of the great Dante Scarnecchia will affect the consistency and production of his players. Oliver Thomas of 247 sports joins the podcast to help sort through the confusion of guards. Available for download on iTunes and Stitcher on Monday, June 20th 2016. Powered by CLNS Radio.

Joining Stacey in the room of never-ending (imaginary) cakes is no stranger to podcasting, the Trash Compactor's own Oliver Thomas!Expect absolutely WHOPPING SPOILERS for the Rick and Morty S2 finale (and other Rick and Morty episodes), the season opener of The Walking Dead and Doctor Who, marginal spoilers for Your Lie In April, Rokka: Braves of the Six Flowers and School Live, and chats about Jughead #1, Virgil, keeping out of people's personal space, Dark Souls 3 and tons more.On top of this, Stacey forgets the word 'Cumworld' (how could you forget that?!), Oliver gets so excited he can't breathe any more, and the pair go on a bit of a tangent about orchestral music. Also, Stacey has wind. Sorry.Enjoy!Episode Theme - 'Through The Night' by Masahiko AimatsuEnd Theme - 'Duel Of The Fates' by John Williams
