Background area music and ambiance for the Golden Vine Winery at California Adventure, including areas such as Mendocino Bar, Sonoma Terrace, Wine Country Trattoria, and Alfresco Tasting Terrace (now Making Key Terrace).There is a classic “DCA 1.0” original loop that has stood the test of time. It's dated, yet oh so glorious! A personal favorite of mine along with the original Pacific Wharf loop. This loop includes some guest ambiance as it's recorded along the ramp down from Wine Country Trattoria as you head down the Performance Corridor. There is one change in recording location between 4 to 5:30 minutes, but beyond that it stays steady.Audio recorded on Sunday 7/7/2024 around 11:30AM. Gary Maggetti is the General Manager of Disney California Adventure Park West in Anaheim, California. Since beginning his career with the Walt Disney Company as a Jungle Cruise Skipper during the 1992 Fall College Program at Walt Disney World, and then as a Food & Beverage Host on Main Street during the 1994 Summer College Program at Disneyland Park, Gary has had a variety of roles at the Disneyland Resort: Restaurant Manager, opening project team for Disney California Adventure; Manager, Training and Development, and Operations Manager for Food and Beverage Business Solutions. He has served as Director, Disneyland Resort Hotels Food & Beverage; Director, Theme Parks Food & Beverage, and as General Manager, Food & Beverage Operations for Disneyland and Director, Food & Beverage and Merchandise Experience Integration for the Disneyland Resort. He has also worked internationally as Director, Food & Beverage for the Tokyo Disney Resort, providing strategic input to Oriental Land Company, who manages all operations at the Tokyo Disney Resort. Today, as General Manager of Disney California Adventure Park West, he oversees all operations for the Pixar Pier, Paradise Gardens Park, Pacific Wharf and Golden Vine Winery regions of the theme park including Attractions, Retail, Food & Beverage, Guest Show operations, as well as Outdoor Vending, Park Banquets and Festival events for both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure Park and the Disneyland Resort Central Bakery. In addition, Gary leads the Disneyland Resort's College & Professional Internship programs. Gary has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the California Restaurant Association and is currently Chair of the Customer Experience Program Advisory Committee for the University of California at Irvine. Gary has also served on the Board of Directors for several local community organizations including the Second Harvest Food Bank of Orange County, the Executive Advisory Board for the Hospitality Foodservice and Hotel Management program at California State University Long Beach, the Good News for Kids Foundation and the Tim Salmon Foundation. Gary graduated cum laude from the Northern Arizona University School of Hotel and Restaurant Management and was a Gold Spirit of Disneyland® Resort recipient in 1998 and was inducted into the Northern Arizona University's W. A. With the attraction opening, guests will be utilizing a virtual queue, with no standby access. D23 Disneyland announcements During the D23 Expo 2022, Disney announced two new meet and greets will be coming to Disneyland Resort in 2022. Beginning this week for a limited time, the Incredible Hulk will appear in his Quantum Suit inside Avengers Campus. Additionally, the Mandalorian and Grogu will make their first appearance on Batuu at Disneyland park starting in mid-November. In late January 2023, Disneyland Resort will begin the 100 Years of Wonder celebration. The park will receive new platinum-infused décor, new looks for Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and their pals, special food and beverage offerings, and more. Two all-new nighttime spectaculars, “World of Color – One” at Disney California Adventure park and “Wondrous Journeys” at Disneyland park, will debut in 2023. The “Magic Happens” parade will return in Spring 2023. Disney also announced Mickey & Minnie's Runaway Railway and Mickey's Toontown will open early 2023. Disney announced Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will be expanding with a third attraction featuring a brand-new story that will bring guests into battle alongside their favorite Super Heroes. The new concept for this attraction will be an epic family adventure, where guests team up with more of the Avengers and their allies to battle against foes from the multiverse, including King Thanos, a villain designed specifically for Avengers Campus.  Similar to Walt Disney World, Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open at the Disneyland Resort in late 2024.  Pacific Wharf in Disney California Adventure park will be reimagined into San Fransokyo from “Big Hero 6.” Imagineers are in the early phases of this work, but the transformation will include a place to meet Baymax, along with new shops and restaurants. runDisney races will return to the Disneyland Resort in 2024!   Previously, Disney announced their plan to reimagine Disney's Paradise Pier Hotel with a Pixar theme, which was revealed to be called Pixar Place Hotel. The hotel will include many Pixar touches, including a “Finding Nemo”-themed splash pad area.  The Great Maple will open a flagship restaurant on the first floor and operate other food and beverage locations throughout Pixar Place Hotel. This modern American eatery specializes in upscale comfort food with a twist, serving fresh takes on American classics for breakfast, lunch and dinner. In the Downtown Disney District, Disney plans to introduce more than a dozen new and reimagined locations. Din Tai Fung, a world-renowned Asian restaurant that originated in Taiwan and specializes in soup dumplings, will join the district with its authentic cuisine. Additionally, Porto's Bakery and Café, an iconic Southern California destination known across the country for its sweet pastries and desserts, as well as delicious California–Cuban-inspired dishes, will be coming to the Downtown Disney District in the future. Source: D23 Expo, Disney Parks Blog MagicBand+ to premiere at Disneyland This fall, MagicBand+ will make its debut at Disneyland Resort, bringing the wearable technology to the West Coast for the first time! Launched at Walt Disney World Resort earlier this summer, MagicBand+ includes smart features like color-changing LED lights, haptic vibrations and gesture recognition. When MagicBand+ is paired to a smartphone device through the Disneyland app, it unlocks personalization options such as selecting unique light colors and adjusting the vibration and motion recognition settings. MagicBand+ features and experiences will vary between Walt Disney World Resort and Disneyland Resort. MagicBand+ can be connected to theme park tickets or Magic Key passes in the Disneyland app for an easy way to enter the Disneyland Resort theme parks, check in at Lightning Lane entrances, and link Disney PhotoPass photographer photos to your Disney account. MagicBand+ also adds new, immersive elements and surprises to park experiences. In sync with special moments during select nighttime spectaculars, the band will complement the magic in the skies by pulsing with colorful, dancing lights and vibrations. It will also come to life during “World of Color” in Disney California Adventure park and “Fantasmic!” and select nighttime shows in Disneyland park. Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge in Disneyland park will include the Star Wars: Batuu Bounty Hunters interactive quest. It was later announced that at Disneyland Resort, Magicband+ are able to be transferred for a day to another guest. This function is not available at Walt Disney World. Everything New for Disney Parks and Resorts from D23 Expo 2022 So What's Next for Disney Parks?You won't believe what's coming behind Big Thunder Mountain at Walt Disney World This is Disney's Blue Sky sneak peak of what's coming down the road for Disney Parks. This portion of the D23 Expo had the biggest cheer of anything announced in 2022.First though, Josh D'Amaro announced what's happening with Dinoland at Disney's Animal Kingdom Park. It has been languishing and looks forgotten so the announcement of a big transformation coming was welcome. Zootopia and Moana will share the space currently occupied by Dinoland. But the biggest news of all... Disney Villains are Finally Getting a Place to Call their OwnMagic Kingdom will feature new frontiers and it's all hiding on the other side of BTM. The little town of Santa Cecilia will come to life as Coco gets a Magic Kingdom presence. And if you do want to talk about Bruno, you're in luck because you may be able to walk right into the Madrigal's casita. But all is not fun and flowers in this new land...as what if the Disney villains took up residence there as well...beyond Big Thunder Mountain.This was presented as conceptual and would likely be 10 years down the road, but Disney would not share it in this way if it weren't going to happen. Big news for Walt Disney World and Magic Kingdom. -- There's More Coming to Walt Disney WorldA new nighttime show for EPCOT will debut in late 2023 to kick-off the 100th Anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. Moana's Journey of Water and the rest of the World Celebration area at EPCOT will open in late 2023. So we'll have to bear with those construction walls for another year it seems.Figment is returning in a brand new form for a meet and greet at EPCOT. That will be in place by the end of 2023. In Magic Kingdom, the perennial favorite Hatbox Ghost will materialize once again in the Haunted Mansion. And we now know that Tron Lightcycle Run at Magic Kingdom will debut in Spring 2023. We were hoping it would be sooner, but apparently they are working on finishing touches right now. No specific date, just "spring."  Finally, in 2023, a new version of  Happily Ever After will return as part of a new Magic Kingdom nighttime show. This received a good amount of applause. What's New and Coming to Disneyland Resort The DVC Villas at Disneyland Hotel will be called the Villas at Disneyland Hotel. How creative. On October 16, 2023 Disney 100 kicks-off and it promises to be the biggest celebration ever for Disney. Under the theme of a Boundless Future the following announcements were made: The Mandalorian and Grogu (aka Baby Yoda) will be onsite starting in Mid November 2022 at Disneyland Galaxy's Edge Over at the Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure Park, Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios, noted "we're just getting started." A new giant Hulk will be at Avengers Campus in California "next week."  Plus, they're bringing the Multiverse to Avengers Campus. Disney is expanding the campus to include a new attraction. In the new attraction you will battle alongside all the Avengers against all the foes from anywhere. You will fight King Thanos. This is a new Thanos -- a Thanos who won. And the Avengers are not too happy about that and you have to help them. More news to come. Also new to Disney California Adventure, they are reimagining Pacific Wharf into San Fransokyo from Big Hero Six. You'll be able to meet Baymax there.  Finally, they are reimagining Paradise Pier Hotel, as it will become Pixar Place Hotel. It will feature a Finding Nemo splash pad and more characters. All in all, Disney promises that the hotel will feel completely new. Over at Downtown Disney more than a dozen new or reimagined locations are in the works. More announcements coming over the next year. But the big news locally is a that SoCal favorite bakery Porto's is coming to Downtown Disney.  RunDisney at Disneyland is coming back in 2024. More details coming soon. It's been awhile for Run Disney as the last one took place in 2017. Mickey's ToonTown Mickey and Minnie's Runaway Railway are coming along. It was good to hear that it will be a slightly different version of Runaway Railway than the WDW edition, to fit into the Disneyland ToonTown story. It's all opening in 2023. Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open in late 2024 in both Walt Disney World and Disneyland. The story for the ride is that it picks up where the film (Princess and the Frog) left off. In the new story, Princess Tiana is an entrepreneur and community leader in the year 1927. She is hosting a party for the community and we need to help Tiana to find a special ingredient that she's missing.  Disney promises that the latest tech is being implemented to really enhance the outside of the whole area at night. Mist will be used like a painter's canvas. "True bayou magic." The attraction is to be a love letter to New Orleans. Guests should feel the story is authentic to the city. Another great piece of news is that the original cast will be lending their voices to the new attraction. --What's new at Disney Cruise Line The sixth ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet is all about adventure...celebrating Walt's love for exploration. The new Disney Cruise ship is called Disney Treasure. The Disney Wonder is heading to Australia and New Zealand late 2023. The island of Eleuthera and Lighthouse Point will be the new Bahamas port for Disney Cruise. 90% of the power will come from solar.What's Coming to Disney Parks Around the Globe Zootopia is opening at Shanghai Disneyland.  World of Frozen at Hong Kong Disneyland will open in the second half of 2023, featuring a Wandering Oaken sleigh coaster. Disneyland Paris' Frozen Arendelle land is coming along and Disneyland Hotel is being fully reimagined -- opening in 2024 At Tokyo Disneyland, Disney Fantasy Spring will feature Peter Pan, Tangled and Frozen. Plus a totally reimagined Space Mountain will open by 2027 at Tokyo Disney. Pixar We Belong Together will be debuting at Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris next year. Jack Jack Cookie Num Num(recipe from www.disneyfoodblog.com)Ingredients1 Cup Butter (2 Sticks)1 1/4 Cup Brown Sugar1 Egg1/4 Cup Sugar1 Egg Yolk1 Tsp Sea Salt1 Tsp Vanilla Extract1 Tsp Baking Soda2 1/4 Cups Flour1 Cup Chocolate ChipsInstructionsStep 1: Brown butter and let it cool until it begins to solidify.Step 2: Cream butter, sugars, and salt in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.Step 3: Mix in whole egg, egg yolk, and vanilla.Step 4: Combine your dry ingredients and mix them with the batter.Step 5: Add those chocolate chips.Step 6: Scoop your batter into balls and chill thoroughly, for at least an hour (preferablyovernight).Step 7: Bake at 350° for 7-10 minutes or until your cookies are a nice golden brown onthe edges but still soft in the center.

In Park News, Indiana Jones returned today from its refurbishment. But we all know it will still continue to break down daily. It's almost guaranteed. BING BONG has FINALLY made his debut at Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff on Pixar Pier in DCA and he looks Super Cute! We were at the parks this morning and we saw that there is a new display coming to Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln! “Mary Poppins Returns” memorabilia will be on display for a limited time, so make sure you get the chance to check it out. Rumor has it that the display will be in full display tonight. For now, they only have the Mary Poppins Bag & Umbrella. Did you know there is a Small World Holiday Lighting that Happens every day at 5:15 pm, then there is a Projection show Starting at 5:30 pm and every 30 Minutes after that? Also, Did you know that besides the Magical Snowfall on Main Street, There is also Snow Fall every 20 minutes in DCA near Redwood Creek Trail once it's dark? It's So Magical & Beautiful and way less crowded, You don't want to Miss it! There is also Snow Fall on the Rivers Of America EAR NEWS - The New Lavender Sequined Ears will be hitting the parks soon! So set date yet on them but Soon I'm sure. Also, The Mickey's 90th Birthday Ears arrived in WDW yesterday which means they will be hitting our parks any day now. However these Birthday Ears with detachable Bow are $35…. Disneyland After Dark Event Tickets went on sale this week. Sweethearts Nite is on February 7th from 9pm - 1am, guests can arrive at 6pm. 90's Nite on March 7th also from 9pm - 1am Tickets for each event are $99 per person. Breaking News this week, A Giant Spacecraft has landed in Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. That's right, the Millennium Falcon is Now in Disneyland. Star Wars Land is Set to open Next Summer. This week the International Teaser Poster for Toy Story 4 was released, Have you seen it? Disney's Candlelight Processional will be taking place this weekend, Saturday December 1st & Sunday December 2nd in Disneyland. A Beautiful Tradition of Music and a retelling of the First Christmas Story by a celebrity Narrator (Yet to be announced), that you will not want to miss. In Downtown Disney News, We finally have a date for the Reopening of the Starbucks in Downtown Disney! Rumor had it that it was going to open sometime this week however we just found out it will be opening on Monday, December 10th! So we know that DCA serves alcohol but they just added more! Now At the Gourmet Coffee cart in Pacific Wharf, (kiddy corner from the Ariel ride). Happy Friday, July 27th Everyone! The Weekend is here! Park News - First off let's get right into Bing Bong's Sweet Stuff Confectionary which opened last Saturday. We got to explore it a few times this week and have already noticed some changes since it's opening day. On opening day they had a few hiccups with the drinks. It's BACK!! The Wildest ride in the Wilderness!! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad made its return from refurbishment today! Can't tell you how happy I am about that! It is My FAVORITE ride so I've missed it! Disney announced this week that Holidays at the Disneyland resort returns November 9th. With that comes, Festival of Holidays, A Christmas Fantasy parade and of course, Sleeping Beauty's Winter Castle. We also learned this week during the Disney Parks Live Stream for Paint the Night, that The Paint the Night Parade & the Pixar Play Parade will be sticking around after the September 3rd Pixar Fest end Date! Still no word on the Together Forever Fireworks Spectacular but we will be keeping our fingers crossed that it stays! A couple more refurbishments hitting the parks starting next week. Starting Monday, July 30th, Pinocchio's Daring Journey will be down till August 3rd. Matterhorn Bobsleds will be down July 30th - August 23rd (Estimated date) Also, don't forget the Enchanted Tiki Room will be closed starting August 6th with an unknown return date. Also in Disney News….PhotoPass day is coming Sunday, August 19th. During this day-long celebration of photography in Disney parks, you'll discover creative & fun photo ops throughout the parks! Breaking News Today - Disney & Fox shareholders have voted to approve the $71.3 Billion merger of the 2 companies, marking another step closer to Marvel Studios Introducing the X-Men & Fantastic Four into the Marvel Cinematic, Universe. We learned this morning that Disneyland Resort workers approved a contract that raises the Minimum hourly wage for Cast Members Effective Immediately, as of this morning their pay is now $13.25 and starting January 1st goes up to $15.45. Congratulations to all our well-deserved cast members! Speaking of Cast Members, we have come in contact with SO MANY AMAZING cast members who make Magic Happen Daily!! Cast Members who truly Love what they do and embody The Disney Spirit! On the other hand, sadly you get a few that unfortunately aren't so magical. Not Park news but it is Disney! Short Rib Skillet, Southern Fried Bone-In Pork Chop, Country Biscuits & Gravy, Becky Thatcher's Fried Green Tomato, Mickey Shapes Pancake, Granola & Mixed Berry Parfait, Southern Sweet Skillet, Monkey Bread & Seasonal Oats. Another new Menu item - There's a new Margarita in Town! The new Pineapple Margarita from Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill on Pacific Wharf in DCA looks refreshing & delicious. Sprinkles Cupcakes in Downtown Disney, released a New Cupcake this week and I'm sure it's an acquired taste! It's a fluffy Vanilla cake filled with Flaming Hot Cheetos topped with creamy white cheddar frosting dusted with crushed hot Cheetos but hurry cuz it won't last long. According to Sprinkles Instagram, it's only here till tomorrow, July 27th.
