Keeping busy on both sides of the camera multi-talented actor/voiceover/director Nicole is pleased to join Rick Hoffman (Suits, Billions) as parents of assistant editor Rachel (Vic Michaelis) in Hallmark Channel's Round and Round. It's the seventh night of Hanukkah Rachel is headed to her family's annual Hanukkah party. When Rachel's boyfriend Adam, (David Attar, Unexpected Grace) can't make the party, her prone-to-meddling Grandma Rosie, (Paula Shaw, Hannukah on Rye) introduces her to Zach (Bryan Greenberg), a nerdy art instructor. But Rachel and Zach have met before – he crashed into her that morning at the train station. Later in the night, a surprisingly competitive game of dreidel triggers a shocking turn of events. The next morning, Rachel wakes up to discover it's somehow still the day of her parents' party and that she's destined to repeat the seventh night of Hanukkah over and over again Nicole has worked alongside impressive A-list actors with a role in Wonder, starring Julia Roberts, Owen Wilson, and Jacob Tremblay. She has also starred in many MOWs including Radio Hype, Ungodly Acts, The Christmas Ornament, The Woodcarver, Taken Back – Finding Haley, Unspeakable, and Innocent. Other Hallmark Channels MOW include A Family Christmas Gift with Holly Robinson Peete & Patti Labelle and Good Morning Christmas. Girls Gone Hallmark is a weekly Hallmark movie review podcast. This week, hosts, Megan and Wendy, talk about "Round and Round" - a time loop rom-com starring Vic Michaelis and Bryan Greenberg. Don't let the time loop trope scare you off. This might be Hallmark's best movie of the 2023 Countdown to Christmas season! Tell us what your favorite Countdown to Christmas movie from 2023! Email us at meganandwendy@gmail.com and be sure to check out the 2nd Annual Girls Gone Hallmark Best Christmas Movie bracket beginning on January 6, 2024 exclusively on our Instagram. About "Round and Round" Hallmark Movie This movie was written by Tamar Lady. Tamar has just 7 previous writing credits! She wrote “Crashing Through the Snow” for Hallmark back in 2021, as well as a handful of episodes for “Pretty Little Liars,” “Hart of Dixie,” and “General Hospital: Night Shift.” Stacey N. Harding directed. She has 12 directing credits including… "AMISH STUD: The Eli Weaver Story" starring Luke Macfarlane. For Hallmark she's directed Hearts in the Game, “Love, Classified,” “Christmas Sail,” and one of the “Mystery 101” movies. Additionally, she has worked on “Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist” as First Asst. Director, a reboot of “Charmed” and, wait for it… “UnReal.” “Round and Round” was filmed east of Vancouver, BC, in a town called Maple Ridge from March through May, 2023 (according to Heavy.com) Vic Michaelis plays Rachel. She has 24 acting credits which include a lot of shorts and videos but has also been in episodes of “Bless this Mess,” “Upload,” the reboot of “Charmed” and a sketch comedy series called “CollegeHumor Originals.” Bryan Greenberg plays Zach. He's probably best known for his role as Jake on One Tree Hill but his other 47 acting credits include ABC's “October Road,” “How to Make it in America” on HBO, “The Mindy Project,” “Bride Wars,” “Friends with Benefits” and “Prime” (one of my favorite movies!). Upcoming for Bryan is a thriller he wrote, directed and starred in called “Junction” - which also stars his wife, Jamie Chung and former One Tree Hill Sophia Bush. Rick Hoffman plays Rachel's dad Stan. Hoffman has been in a lot! He has 65 acting credits including “Billions,” 134 episodes of “Suits,” “Ballers,” “Samantha Who?” and so many more. David Attar plays terrible boyfriend Adam. Now David might be the only actor who has previously been in a Hallmark movie. We've seen him in “Guiding Emily” “Field Day” “Unexpected Grace” “A Fabled Holiday” “Autumn in the City” and “Nikki & Nora: Sister Slueths. ” Related Podcast Episode: Girls Gone Hallmark reviews "Unexpected Grace," a movie that drew some controversial takes from the Facebook group! Paula Shaw plays Grandma Rosie. She has 89 other acting credits, many Hallmark movies - so David Attar isn't our only Hallmark vet. We've seen her in “Hanukkah on Rye” “Wedding of a Lifetime” “The Wedding Veil Legacy” and “It Was Always You” amongst others. At the time of recording this episode, Round and Round ranked # 26 in ratings for the Countdown to Christmas premieres, with 1.54M live viewers. Feeling Generous? In this episode of Change It Up Radio, I talk about some things we can do to survive the holidays when we are feeling sad and grieving. This episode of Change It Up Radio is the second part of our special Grief and the Holidays series. This subject is very near and dear to my heart because when you're hurting at this time of year, it can be very lonely and agonizing. Grief on its own is difficult enough, but it can really be magnified when the holidays roll around, and everyone else seems to be so happy and festive. If you're grieving a loss of some sort right now, you're likely riddled with memories of fonder times when things felt happier, and you may be thinking, “What on earth do I do now? How do I feel better?” It's hard to imagine that these feelings of sadness and emptiness will ever fade, and celebrating the holidays the same way you have in the past may just not be possible right now. That's okay. Today, I'm going to be talking about my Holiday Survival Checklist and sharing several helpful tips for those who are grieving and going through some kind of heavy emotional pain at this time of year. In this episode of Change It Up Radio, my Dad, Jack Gutman, and his best friend from World War II, Jerry Ackerman, join me to talk about their first in-person reunion after being separated for over 75 years, each not knowing if their beloved friend had survived the war… a touching story that has since gone viral, now reaching over 2 million views! My dad, Jack Gutman, and his best friend, Jerry Ackerman, met at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California, during World War II and were instant buddies who were both from New York and had many things in common. Unfortunately, they were separated when they were assigned different battleships that were en route to the invasion of Okinawa – one of the biggest naval battles of World War II that left thousands dead. Fast forward to 2022, Jack and Jerry, who are now both 96 years old, have been reunited after a long 75 years of not even knowing if the other was still alive, all thanks to Jerry's son, Peter, and some searching on Google! Many of you met both of these men when we shared their story on Memorial Day of this year. But, a lot has happened since then… a month after our last interview, Jack and Jerry finally got to see each other again in person! In this episode, they reminisce about fond old memories and their fast-growing friendship during World War II and share their experience of being reunited for the first time in over 7 decades at Camp Pendleton, where it all began for them. This beautiful love story about two best friends reuniting after thinking that they'd never see each other again has since gone viral online, warming many people's hearts, helping them during hard times, and reminding us all that nothing in this world is more important or more powerful than love. In this episode of Change It Up Radio, Jeanine Thompson joins me to talk about how practicing stillness can help empower us to answer the call from our soul and unleash our highest potential in all areas of life. It's a noisy world we live in. Stillness, the one thing most high achievers avoid, is one of the most accessible and powerful avenues to fulfilling and redefining what success means to you. When you learn to befriend and anchor yourself in stillness, what once felt overwhelming or foggy can become clear, and your true capacity, needs, joys, and desires for your best life can be revealed and realized. My guest, Jeanine Thompson, a transformational coach, speaker, and author, joins us to talk about how practicing stillness, or “doing nothing,” can help us reach our highest potential. She explains what stillness is, how we can create it in our lives, and how it creates the space to connect with our inner genius. Jeanine also discusses what it means to have a “911” from our soul, and explains that despite outward success, many of us are still filled with restlessness and a yearning for something more in our lives. She shows us this longing isn't a drive toward more achievement, but rather a desire to return home to ourselves. To Learn More About the Show, Visit: www.ChangeItUpRadio.com

Steve talks about how we can clean up our energy and stay grounded in a spiritual perspective when it feels like the world is working against us, and explains why it's our responsibility to look for the learning opportunity that exists in each trial we experience. In this episode of Change It Up Radio, Gina Worful joins me to talk about how to become a master of your health and the emotions that trigger food cravings and cause a painful cycle of shame and self-sabotage. So many people find themselves wondering, “Why can't I just lose this weight?!” The reality is that losing weight and keeping it off can be quite difficult. Despite what some people in the wellness industry might say, there is no quick fix or magic pill when it comes to weight loss. My guest today, Gina Worful, who is a registered dietitian and master of human nutrition, joins us to talk about her personal struggles with health and learning how to love, understand, and connect with her body on a deeper level. She shares how her journey fueled her passion for teaching others how to know, trust, and feel confident with their bodies from the inside out. Gina explains the science of how and why we get food cravings, why habits are so hard to break, and how we can become the master of our own minds and the emotions that trigger cravings and cause self-sabotage. She shares how we can learn to allow our cravings to communicate to us what our bodies need rather than creating more restrictions around our diets and shaming ourselves along the way. In this episode of Change It Up Radio, Chad Stewart joins me to talk about his fast-paced young adult adventure series, "Britfield," and the importance of creativity and innovation in the education of young people today. My guest today, Chad Stewart, is a prolific writer, producer, creativity specialist, and prominent speaker, as well as the author and creative mind behind the Britfield series. He joins me today to discuss how Britfield engages, stimulates, and inspires young readers to explore and discover their own creativity in a realistic world of adventure and intrigue, and explains why this series is an innovative educational movement in creativity, leadership, and education. Chad, who has an extensive background in investment banking and business consulting, explains that although he often pursued the logical route in his career, he had always been creative and yearned to do something fun and expressive. He shares how one simple sketch that he had doodled during a boring business seminar sparked an idea for a story that took him in a completely different direction in life. Having experienced a discouraging decline in creativity himself, Chad recognized that creativity and critical thinking are sidelined by an educational “cookie-cutter mentality” that rewards the common rather than encouraging the ingenuity needed to succeed and thrive in the modern world. This led him to create The Britfield Institute, which is a not-for-profit that is dedicated to encouraging young people to value learning, providing interactive programs to help students learn to innovate, brainstorm, imagine, problem-solve, and create — skills that will prepare them for the future. While Stewart's approach might sound reminiscent of J.K. Rowling's “Harry Potter” series, he emphasizes that his subject matter differs drastically, drawing upon history and literary models such as Charles Dickens and the Brontë sisters as the inspirations for his fiction. That focus stems in large part from his studies in European history and British literature at Brown University and his journeys in England. With the third book, Britfield & the Return of the Prince, coming out in August 2022, the series is well on its way to becoming a multi-media franchise. She also provides an in-depth explanation of what Kambo is, where it originated from, what its benefits are, and how it is safely administered as an alternative medicine treatment. In this episode of Change It Up Radio, we're talking about the reunion of two Navy Veterans who were best friends in World War II and had lost connection with one another for 75 years. Today, we live in a world with social media, cell phones, and the internet, where it's very easy to reconnect with an old friend or check in with someone we may have lost contact with over the years. But, it wasn't always so easy, especially 75 years ago, for two Navy buddies that got separated and were left wondering what happened to their dear friend over the years. My dad, Jack Gutman, and his best friend, Jerry Ackerman, met at Camp Pendleton in Oceanside, California during World War II, and were instant buddies who were both from New York and had a lot of things in common. They formed a club called "the 3 jays" with another friend, Joe Gagliardi, who had also become a part of their group. Unfortunately, they were all eventually reassigned. Jack and Jerry were assigned to the USS Cullman, a troop transport, and they lost contact with Joe. Jack ended up being transferred to another ship, and that was the end of a very beautiful friendship. For 75 years, they wondered where the other was, how the other was, and if the other was even still alive. They both went about life, going to school, falling in love, and raising their families. Fast forward to 2022, Jack and Jerry, who are now both 96 years old, have finally been reunited, all thanks to Jerry's son, Peter, and a search on Google! In this episode, they reminisce about fond old memories and their fast-growing friendship during World War II, share their individual stories about meeting their wives and building their families, and talk about their plans to meet again in person for the first time in over 7 decades! Jack also shares how his friends Jerry and Joe were both incredibly helpful in his healing journey, even though he never said this to them back then, and he shares that being reunited with Jerry again has served as a form of closure to his post-traumatic stress that he had gone through for 66 years. This is a truly beautiful conversation that you do not want to miss! To Learn More About the Show, Visit: www.ChangeItUpRadio.com

In this episode of Change It Up Radio, Dr. Rayna Gangi joins me to talk about women in the military, navigating Veteran Affairs, veteran suicide prevention, and how we can all do more to honor veterans for their service. My guest today, Dr. Rayna Gangi, trained as a radio communication engineer and was ready to be one of only a handful of Women Marines deployed to Vietnam. Two days before her embarkment, multiple vaccines paralyzed her from the waist down, and she spent the next several months in the hospital. Rayna fought her way back to mobility and was honorably discharged in 1971. Through her personal experience, Rayna became more aware of other veterans with disabilities when she approached the VA after her disability had returned and she was no longer able to work. Her experience with the VA was not unlike many who have reached out for help, but the most impactful awareness was for the number of veteran suicides, and the numbers were staggering. Rayna has since began counseling veterans suffering with PTSD pro bono. She has been focused on prevention and education so that others can help veterans and so veterans can be honored as they should be for their service. Today, Rayna joins me to talk about the difficulties she faced as a woman navigating the military after enlisting in the U.S. Marines in 1968 during the height of the Vietnam War, sharing the way that she and other women were treated in comparison to their male counterparts. Rayna also shares her struggles with dealing with the VA for disability compensation, and her mission to help prevent and put an end to veteran suicide. He has been working in this area for 10 years and has over 20,000 clinical hours in working with combat veterans and their families readjusting after combat. Among the many people that Dylan has worked with, he was my dad's therapist for three years at the VA, which took my dad from a man who suffered with PTSD for 66 years, to someone who's now functioning beautifully with no remnants of those PTSD symptoms. Dylan joins me today to discuss the challenges that military men and women have when transitioning out of the military and reintegrating back into civilian life. He talks about the influence of behavioral and existential conditioning, the three biggest issues that a warrior struggles with after leaving the military, and the impact that war and this transition has on a veteran's mental health. Dylan also explains what reintegration stress is, the many uncertainties that veterans have to grapple with post-deployment, and how all of these factors contribute to the suicide epidemic among military men and women. In this episode of Change It Up Radio, I talk about grief, how to support people in emotional pain, and what to avoid saying to someone that's grieving. Today, I want to talk about some of the things that are helpful to say to someone who is dealing with grief, but even more importantly, what things are not at all helpful to say. Sometimes we don't realize that the words we say in an attempt to comfort someone we care about are actually causing more pain, because they were said to us at some point and just feel like the “norm.” Remember, there is a world of grievers out there. We are all going through so much right now, and I guarantee you that if you haven't already, you're going to encounter someone who is dealing with grief. Let's all take the initiative to sharpen our skills and learn how we can be there for others who are in emotional pain by giving them the dignity to feel what they feel without judgment or criticism. With just a little extra effort, we can create a sympathetic and reassuring environment so that those who are grieving can feel safe enough to express their pain, process their feelings, and begin to heal the devastation, fear, and confusion that they are going through.
