It was funny, You know, Earlier, looking around the 3D I suddenly realized Or rather remembered That this was existing currently In an ancient time All of this was gone. One must learn to hide one's true intentions in order to safely navigate and survive the various realms and infinite interdimensions. So are you funny, or just attractive? Talented, sure. But are you— Funny. Dillon Francis is not a comedian. DILLON FRANCIS URGHF. —but, he's made me laugh harder than any other human being— I don't know, I laughed pretty hard at that one time where— Yeah no, seriously though. I'm learning lots of magic Playing with the little man in the television. I release you. I could have told you hours ago that it's not love I want— Is it not? No. Love I've got. I'll leave you all to your wives; the blondes and supermodels—the actresses and prostitots— but what I want, what I really want— Is a body— so I can be one of them. Not yours of course, We all know I'll never be good enough. But I want to be God enough to be able to earn your love, And still not need it— Cause I've got more coming from the others Who want my body, Nevermind the soul; All we are is words and words of music Not the music you like Just the music we've got But who cares about us We want to get drunk and fuck The seven souls stuck inside The seven sides Of Sai The Saige I swear to god I'm gonna die I'm gonna lose my mind I'm gonna tell my story I'm gonna dance all night I'm gonna get high I'm gonna take that knife out my back I'm gonna take that knife right out And slit my wrists The left, Then right— How's that For a very long ride In the back of an ambulance? I don't want no corporate job I just wanna get drunk And fuck End up In the back of a trunk With duct tape over my mouth With duck tape over my mouth With duck tape over my mouth These cut- takes Take a real long time Cut! CUT TO: It's a cult clsssic I hate you —you hate me too I hate you I hate me too I hate you You hate me to I hate you I hate me too I hate me too I hate me too I hate me too Oh, Stephen Colbert. I forgot Steven Colbert. Great Scott. fuck. What happened *vampire* This is music? This is music. FUCK. It's music; I have to go get it. This won a Grammy. Uh, yeah! Go, home, Grammy's. you're DRUNK. GRAMMY. AHH, eat S—[CENSORED]—T I told you not to look. That's okay, I'm never gonna actually be famous anyway. Might as well eat away. I let it eat away at my soul Made of light Like I already sold it I tend to run away fast With my hands in my coat Like I stole it Rowing a boat With no gold mine It's too cold here I don't know, I, Don't fear the reaper I fear sheep as people Giant wieners in Times Square And The Bear, For the fear of redactions. ACTION. You know it hits different When you know in him Is miserable and it manifests in you; It hits different When I cross myself at night As if I'd said a prayer, But really I just beg for it to end With indifference I've got protections over me Above and in the underworld Something was wondering about At the plaza Wonder what Wonderfuck, wonderful world Klusterfuck, doubtful though Don't need the tube socks Don't need the popcorn I'll kill my self you know Because of this You want it to be gone, Then so will you And then it's over What you wanted Was your own demise The whole story was mine The world was lost In your empty blue eyes Something weird did happen with Fallon. The first host of The Tonight Show— amongst many names, was named Patrick. Well, his name was Steve Allen, but much like myself and the also late Richard Pryor, he had many names between the first and the last. I had written Patrick totally offline and in a world of my own, out of nowhere—he had Fallon's face but spoke in proses, was much darker, and of course, probably a lot more miserable. Let's hope, anyway. I would hate to even think that the real Jimmy Fallon could even be so painstakingly lost and broken; in fact—it angered me even thinking about it. Just as I had become griefstricken upon learning and then later confirming Sonny's challenging series of crisis, so I was I somehow strangely bothered that this powerhouse of a man was somehow fragile— easily, I couldn't be the only one who could see, and with any hope that something might change, I had prayed for him—and for myself, the mental illness that it is to worry about such a man— another tucking celebrity. I hated them, but only because I wasn't one. It was pure jealousy, which manifested in the atrocity of my writing, perhaps, or maybe something more. More innate, and more strange—more intense. A spiritual conquest. He's always late on rent; He's always drunk at work As man of the 21st century; At least, I think it's the 21st, But could be before I'm still not sure, They're just words to a song Placebo effect Just give me a boner And go to bed I still get water from the fountains And doughnuts from the girl next door If you want an award for the foreplay, You'll at least be sure I wrote it [Working Title] © The Festival Project ™, The Complex Collective All rights reserved. An underachieving over drinker becomes unlikely friends with a humble street musician and his life takes an even more unlikely turn as their formation of an accidental rock duo opens the doors to other worlds — not a romantic comedy. It's not? No. It's “A Platonic Comedy” I've never heard of that before. That's because it doesn't exist. Cosmo meets Samantha outside of a subway station and their shared crassness and dry sense of humor leads quickly into a friendship— they form a bond over music and Samantha's knack for clever quips and wordplay leads Cosmo to discover that she could become a secret asset to him in the ad game; as they begin spending more time together, they also begin writing songs, and after a joking match leads them to performing at a neighborhood dive bar, they are approached afterward and offered more gigs, and referred to a nearby venue for a talent showcase— they quickly become a neighborhood staple, and are soon invited along with another band on a small midwestern tour; they oblige, however upon returning. Cosmo finds his roommate has decided to leave, putting him in jeapardy—however, as he and Sam brainstorm ways to take on better paying engagements with thei act, Sam helps Cosmo to make a breakthrough with the campaign he has been assigned to—he is then promoted at work, and under the stress and pressure, decides to spend more time and energy ensuring that he does his new job well. Because of thisSam begins preforming more gigs alone, and is eventually offered a deal after a show—the deal does not include Cosmo, although she had been originally and intentionally mislead to believe that it did, and their friendship reaches a breaking point; Cosmo urges Sam to take the deal and move to Los Angeles, though by this time they are now roommates— she does, agreeing to pay her portion of the rent as not to leave him at risk, however, and leaves their dog Bosley as a sentiment. Cosmo becomes depressed and lonely, neglecting his work once more and returning to his original state; his life has improved drastically, with his new job and elevated status—but he misses his friend, and the rock and roll lifestyle. He goes on a chemically fueled rampage, and in his angst records as ballad of emptiness and betrayal, still reeling from losing his friendship with Samantha; in his drunken rage, he sends it to Sam, who is recording with a group in LA when she receives the music file via email; she opens it and listens to it, at first in her headphones—then after the first few moments, on a whim with intense impulse, shows it to her LA people—they all agree it's a hit, and Cosmo is invited to LA, where he and Sam preform once more— the duo finds success and reunification and their friendship is restored; Cosmo is offered a distribution deal for his hit Sam's Solo career springs into action— That's the whole movie! What the fuck! Well yeah, the Illuminati's been stealing my shit anyway and now white supremacy's cyber attacking all my devices. How are you so sure it's white supremacy?! Who else wants me this bad? I didn't do anything but be black —and a woman. Girls Gone Hallmark is a weekly Hallmark movie review podcast. This week, hosts, Megan and Wendy, talk about "Round and Round" - a time loop rom-com starring Vic Michaelis and Bryan Greenberg. Don't let the time loop trope scare you off. This might be Hallmark's best movie of the 2023 Countdown to Christmas season! Tell us what your favorite Countdown to Christmas movie from 2023! Email us at meganandwendy@gmail.com and be sure to check out the 2nd Annual Girls Gone Hallmark Best Christmas Movie bracket beginning on January 6, 2024 exclusively on our Instagram. About "Round and Round" Hallmark Movie This movie was written by Tamar Lady. Tamar has just 7 previous writing credits! She wrote “Crashing Through the Snow” for Hallmark back in 2021, as well as a handful of episodes for “Pretty Little Liars,” “Hart of Dixie,” and “General Hospital: Night Shift.” Stacey N. Harding directed. She has 12 directing credits including… "AMISH STUD: The Eli Weaver Story" starring Luke Macfarlane. For Hallmark she's directed Hearts in the Game, “Love, Classified,” “Christmas Sail,” and one of the “Mystery 101” movies. Additionally, she has worked on “Zoey's Extraordinary Playlist” as First Asst. Director, a reboot of “Charmed” and, wait for it… “UnReal.” “Round and Round” was filmed east of Vancouver, BC, in a town called Maple Ridge from March through May, 2023 (according to Heavy.com) Vic Michaelis plays Rachel. She has 24 acting credits which include a lot of shorts and videos but has also been in episodes of “Bless this Mess,” “Upload,” the reboot of “Charmed” and a sketch comedy series called “CollegeHumor Originals.” Bryan Greenberg plays Zach. He's probably best known for his role as Jake on One Tree Hill but his other 47 acting credits include ABC's “October Road,” “How to Make it in America” on HBO, “The Mindy Project,” “Bride Wars,” “Friends with Benefits” and “Prime” (one of my favorite movies!). Upcoming for Bryan is a thriller he wrote, directed and starred in called “Junction” - which also stars his wife, Jamie Chung and former One Tree Hill Sophia Bush. Rick Hoffman plays Rachel's dad Stan. Hoffman has been in a lot! He has 65 acting credits including “Billions,” 134 episodes of “Suits,” “Ballers,” “Samantha Who?” and so many more. David Attar plays terrible boyfriend Adam. Now David might be the only actor who has previously been in a Hallmark movie. We've seen him in “Guiding Emily” “Field Day” “Unexpected Grace” “A Fabled Holiday” “Autumn in the City” and “Nikki & Nora: Sister Slueths. ” Related Podcast Episode: Girls Gone Hallmark reviews "Unexpected Grace," a movie that drew some controversial takes from the Facebook group! Paula Shaw plays Grandma Rosie. She has 89 other acting credits, many Hallmark movies - so David Attar isn't our only Hallmark vet. We've seen her in “Hanukkah on Rye” “Wedding of a Lifetime” “The Wedding Veil Legacy” and “It Was Always You” amongst others. At the time of recording this episode, Round and Round ranked # 26 in ratings for the Countdown to Christmas premieres, with 1.54M live viewers. Feeling Generous? How many calories in every hamburger McDonald's has ever sold? Was Booker the right career move for Richard Grieco? All this and more is covered in What Now. Watch it has, among others, a correct rating for Do The Right Thing and a wildly unfair rating for The Tall Guy. Listen Up finds us divided on The Ramones' "Pet Sematary," but united on 10,000 Maniacs. Dave agrees that Billy Zane is One To Watch, then protests the Ones To Watch. And we only have one pop culture feature this month, but when it's as memorable as Christina's sitdown with Charlie Sheen, that's all you need.QUICK LINKS

Jennifer Esposito is our guest this week!!! With the lovely Christine Crokos (Director of the feature film "Pimp") and the Producer of Jen's new movie!!! Jen is a special lady and I have been a fan of hers for decades and still miss her on Blue Bloods! Jen has done it all and keeps pushing the limits with her next endeavor Directing a feature film she wrote and will act in, called "Fresh Kills" . Shes on the cutting edge of how films will be financed in the future, including offering "stocks" where fans can really own a piece of the project and also including the extra benefits of owning NFTs "Non-Fungeable Tokens" for Fresh Kills. One of the first projects to think outside of the box and jump in head first of what the future has to offer with block chain technology. Her film "Fresh Kills" is influenced by her upbringing in NYC, growing up around the mafia and the role the women played in that world. Her upbringing has made her a fighter and you need to be a fighter to make it in Hollywood. She's an American actress and author. Jennifer Esposito (Awkwafina is Nora from Queens, Crash, Samantha Who?) is not only a talented actress and New York Times bestselling author (whose passage about carrot cake in her book Jennifer's Way made me cry), but also the screenwriter and future director of the film Fresh Kills. Jennifer discusses the film's exploration of feeling stuck and finding your voice in the context of a mafia movie, a story we never get to see from the women's perspective. This movie is the first to be funded via exclusive NFTs as well as securities and anyone can get involved. Jennifer's eloquence and passion on the subject of diverse filmmaking was a joy and her quest for equality in media and giving people a voice is inspiring. But yes, while listening to this brilliant woman speak about her creative endeavors, I did bring up how much I love The Master of Disguise because I am forever a member of the Turtle Club. Jean Smart has the kind of craft and career advice only an actor with her breadth of experience could provide. Since her early days studying theater in her home state of Washington, there’s little the three-time Emmy Award-winning actor hasn’t taken on, avoiding pigeonholing and receiving constant critical acclaim. Case in point: her recently Emmy-nominated work as Laurie Blake on HBO’s Damon Lindelof limited series “Watchmen.” As she puts it, “Who knew at this stage of the game I was going to become an action hero?” Jean’s breakout role as the naive Charlene Frazier on “Designing Women” was followed by “Overkill: The Aileen Wuornos Story” as the titular serial killer. In addition to Emmy-winning work on “Frasier” and “Samantha Who?,” she’s stolen the show on “24,” “Fargo,” “Legion,” in “Sweet Home Alabama,” “Garden State,” and “A Simple Favor,” on Broadway, earning a Tony nomination for “The Man Who Came to Dinner,” and much more. --- Backstage has been the #1 resource for actors and talent-seekers for 60 years. Hi! My name is Terry J. Aman and this installment marks my 37th episode of "VideoFuzzy," my twice-monthly progress report on cataloging more than 2,700 VHS transfers and digital recordings. In this installment, titled "Feeling Adventurous," I open with my Friday Night Feature, discussing the pilot episode of "The Sarah Jane Adventures," which turned up in my collection on disc 560. The show, a spinoff from "Doctor Who," aired for five seasons, and while I was in the Who-niverse, I took the opportunity to talk a bit more about "Doctor Who" as well. Shifting to my classic VHS-to-DVD collection, I found a few episodes of "Eli Stone" and "Medium," and a few frames of an episode of "Samantha Who?" which, since it has not turned up in my catalog before now, may have been lost forever. In my current direct-to-DVD recordings, I talked about the fourth season finale of "Better Call Saul," the continuing ethical conundrums they're facing on "The Good Place," the pilot episode of the "Charmed" reboot, brief comments on "BoJack Horseman," "Superstore" and "American Horror Story: Apocalypse," and I'm officially done bothering with "Murphy Brown." Enjoy!
In this installment, I clean up a little old business regarding those "unrecoverably absent" portions of SciFi's three-part miniseries "Tin Man" from last time and rule out a possibility on Crowdsourcing Exhibit C, the crowd scene in the French Quarter of New Orleans. My Friday Night Feature explores a season 1 episode of "Samantha Who" and a bombshell revelation from season 1 of "Pushing Daisies." My Classic Collection traces the 1.0 version of this video cataloging project, episodes of NBC's "Life" and "The Universe" on the History Channel, and ABC's presentation of Lemony Snicket's "A Series of Unfortunate Events." My Current Collection has logged nearly a score of "Supernaturals," a few more "Fawlty Towers" and closed out my collection of "Archers" and "Brockmires." I saved a standout episode of "The Family Guy" and determined that I'm going to go back in and recatalog my episodes of "The President Show" to make them easier to navigate. Finally, in What I've Been Watching, I can't say I stayed spoiler-free on "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi," but I can say it's absolutely worth a view.
Today's episode features the person Louis CK named as one of the funniest female comedians of our time: Laura House. In it, Laura tells a story from my live storytelling show, Hammer(ed) Time, which takes place every other month in LA, has been an LA Weekly pick of the week and is being developed into a video series. Her story covers a 4th of July party she once attended that actually lasted three days and included lots of beer, nudity and an eventual police bust. Bonus: it also teaches you how to make a "hillbilly hot tub"! When she's not entertaining the rest of us with tales of her former debauchery, Laura is writing on TV shows (including Mom and Samantha Who), teaching meditation or performing in her one-woman show, How to Hate Yourself.
(Samantha) Who doesn’t love the chocolate chip cookie? Today, chocolate chip is the most popular variety of cookie in the United States, but it did not exist until the 1930s. This episode traces the confection from its invention in the kitchen of Mrs. Ruth Wakefield to your own home.

We go roaring into the New Year with an excellent new podcast featuring writer/producer Bob Kushell, who has just come off a Herculean effort as the show-runner for Charlie Sheen's show Anger Management which just completed 100 episodes. This Southern California native grew up in the San Fernando Valley and, with a vision and a lot of chutzpah, helped start up a sketch comedy troupe which got him his first writing job which led to a long and illustrious career in television (well...long, anyway...) that includes stints on The Simpsons, Dream On, Grounded for Life, Samantha Who and for a very long stretch 3rd Rock From the Sun. Bob is funny, insightful and incredibly insecure, which makes him even funnier - but you will learn a lot about the business of making television, about being inspired by Bugsy Malone and Bob Fosse, and some revelations into the heretofore unknown life of Jeffrey Tambor. (Ya gotta listen...) -LM

The Belief In Angels (She Writes Press) Notes to Boys (Rare Bird Books) Join us this evening as two wildy talented authors bring you coming of age tales quite unlike any you've read before. Jules Finn and Samuel Trautman know that sorrow can sink deeply—so deeply it can drown the spirit. In The Belief in Angels, by J. Dylan Yates, these two wounded souls must decide: surrender to the grief that threatens to destroy them, or find the strength to swim for the surface. Growing up in a volatile hippie household on a tiny island off the coast of Boston, Jules's imaginative sense of humor is the weapon she wields as a defense against the chaos of her family's household. But somewhere between gun-waving gambling debt collectors and LSD-laced breakfast cereal adventures, her younger brother Moses dies—and it's a blow from which Jules may never fully recover. Jules's grandfather, Samuel, wants to help his grandchildren, but he's wrapped up in a sad story of his own. Once called Szaja, Samuel is an orthodox Jew who lived through the murderous Ukranian pogroms of the 1920s, as well as the Majdanek Death Camp—but his survival came at an unspeakable price. In their darkest moments, Jules and Samuel receive what could only be explained as divine intervention—serendipitous experiences that give them each the hope they so desperately need. Ultimately, however, they both must look inside themselves for the courage to come to the rescue of their own fractured lives. Notes to Boys: And Other Things I Shouldn't Share in Public is a "mortifying memoir" from bestselling author and tv/film writer Pamela Ribon. Miserably trapped in a small town Texas with no invention of the internet in sight, Ribon spent countless hours of her high school years writing letters to her (often unrequited) crushes. The big question is: Why did she always keep a copy for herself? Wince along with Ribon as she tries to understand exactly how she ever thought she'd win a boy's heart by writing him a letter that began: "Share with me your soul," and ends with some remarkably awkward erotica. You'll come for the incredibly bad poetry, you'll stay for the incredibly bad poetry about racism. Raised on a tiny, New England peninsula, J. Dylan Yates pursued her BA from the University of Colorado-Boulder. Yates worked with Boulder County's Voices for Children program as a CASA volunteer for 15 years and now volunteers with the Big Sister program. The Belief in Angels, Yates's debut novel, won the Alexis Masters Scholarship Award at the February 2012 San Francisco Writers Conference. She lives in San Diego with her partner and a talking cat. Pamela Ribon is a bestselling author, television writer and performer. A pioneer in the blogging world, her first novel,Why Girls Are Weird, was loosely based on her extremely successful website pamie.com. The site has been nominated for a Bloggie in Lifetime Achievement, which makes her feel old. Ribon created the cult sensation and tabloid tidbit "Call Us Crazy: The Anne Heche Monologues", a satire of fame, fandom and Fresno. Her two-woman show, "Letters Never Sent" (created with four-time Emmy winner and "Jay Leno Show" favorite Liz Feldman) was showcased at the 2005 HBO US Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. She has been writing in television for the past seven years, in both cable and network, including on the Emmy-award winning "Samantha Who?" starring Christina Applegate. Using her loyal Internet fan base, Ribon sponsors book drives for libraries in need. Over the years, pamie.com has sent thousands of books and materials to Oakland and San Diego, sponsored a Tsunami-ravaged village of schoolchildren, and helped restock the shelves of a post-Katrina Harrison County, Mississippi. Ribon's book drive can now be found at DeweyDonationSystem.org, which has sponsored libraries from the Negril School in Jamaica to the Children's Institute in Los Angeles.
Comedian and TV writer Laura House has starred in MTV's iconic Austin Stories, written on Blue Collar TV, The George Lopez Show, Samantha Who? and Mom and been called one of the funniest female comedians out there by none other than Louis CK. And she's been sober for over six years while also becoming a certified meditation teacher and raw food expert. Yep, her repertoire is vast: this is a girl who knows how to bring the funny to meditation. Other Laura House accomplishments include wowing the crowds at storytelling shows (including Anna David's True Tales of Lust and Love, which she performed in more than any other writer or comedian), publishing essays in several anthologies (including the aforementioned True Tales of Lust and Love book) and being featured on Comedy Central. Here, she and David discuss sending a video of a drunken, slurry set to a big manager, various ways the alcoholic brain doesn't seem to work right and how to work through disappointment in sobriety, among many other topics.
