Howdy folks of the interwebs! Your host Double J is back with another attempt at a "live" show. Today, JJ is joined by his dood Dan Dean - standup comedian, Guinness Book of World Record holder, & retired veteran of the U.S. Marines/Army. In today's shenanigan infused journey, your host JJ & Dan Dean discuss our demands for better Psyops! From the Venezuelan political psyop trilogy that we as Americans are subjected to circa every 4-years as of late! To the peak Meme World level of censorship in America & the UK, & honorable mention to the operations surrounding the recent assassination attempt of America in Butler, PA. We demand better psyops! Lastly, we discuss some polarizing societal events of a more personal persuasion, these events psyops perhaps? A bizarre murder involving an old white man & a younger black woman/uber driver, whom he allegedly held hostage before murdering the woman in his driveway. Lastly, we discuss a recent multi-state stabbing spree and murder rampage of a man colloquially known as "Buffalo Jared" Ravizza. Where previous to "Buffalo Jared" and his trans-killer multi-state stabbing spree, ol "Buffalo Jared" solicited your host JJ to hire the marketing/public relations services of "Buffalo Jared" 's (alleged) marketing/pr firm. Anyhow, folks of the interwebs...thanks for join'n me to get a lil GCD! Enjoy the conversation on We Demand Better Psyops with Dan Dean! Being aware that our thoughts are packets of potential is critical to succeeding in realizing our goals because how we water those seeds of potential weighs heavily on how our reality plays out. The truth is that most people in our modern society are fighting for their limitations which comes from a deep fear that they may be a great success. And although that seems contradictory to an athlete's character, self-sabotage fueled by fear of success is commonplace these days.In this episode, I share a story of how I recognized fear of success within my own story and the signs and symptoms that parallel fear of success. Also, I touch upon how changes in the racing environment are not helping us let our yes be yes. Fear of success manifests in ways that we are not conscious of, behaviors and patterns that are sure signs of self-sabotage and fear of success. Typically it occurs when we are stepping into the unknown, but it is essential to remember that although the unknown can be scary, this realm is where the potential for our success exists. The study referenced in this episode: Science has shown that mindfulness is linked to present moment focus which is the essence of the psychology of peak performance in sport (Jackson & Csikszentmihalyi, 1999; Ravizza, 2002).Interested in joining other like-minded athletes on the path to mastery? Preaching for the Feast of the Holy Family, Bridget Burke Ravizza offers a reflection on the character of Christian families: "From a Christian perspective, of course, it is not enough to care for the needs of our own family members. We belong to them, yes, but not only to them. We belong to the wider body of Christ, and we are called to be light to the world. The gospels very clearly push us in this direction--moving beyond exclusive identity with birth-kin and toward expansive identity as brothers and sisters in God, a new family to whom we are spiritually and materially accountable. This is why the fruitfulness of Christian families expands to enrich the wider society. This is why Christian families are deliberately outward-facing and justice-seeking." Bridget Burke Ravizza is a Professor of Theology and Religious Studies at St. Norbert College in De Pere, Wisconsin. Bridget earned her doctorate in Theological Ethics at Boston College, and her work focuses on sexual ethics and the ethics of marriage and family. She is co-author (with Julie Donovan Massey, M.Div.) of Project Holiness: Marriage as a Workshop for Everyday Saints. Visit www.catholicwomenpreach.org/preaching/12272020 to learn more about Bridget, to read her preaching text, and for more preaching from Catholic women.

This week on The Secrets to Winning, we have a bit of a unique situation. First off, here's a little backstory. A couple of months ago one of my good buds - a former PGA Tour player - said to me "You've got some amazing guests, and I've learned a ton. But one thing I feel like I'm missing is YOUR perspectives. You do a good job of integrating your ideas into the conversation, but you're respectful of other people's platforms so you don't want to take their attention. But I want to hear from YOU." So this episode we flipped the script. I am the guest and interviewing me is good friend Ryan Brown, a sports radio host for one of the largest and most listened to sports talk shows in the country. Ryan asks me the hard-hitting questions that I usually ask our guests. If you want to know what it takes to be an elite performer from my perspective, you are in the right place!
