Interview with George Salamis, President & CEO of Integra Resources Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/integra-resources-tsxvitr-us-gold-producer-on-path-to-300000-oz-pa-6833Recording date: 23rd April 2025Integra Resources (TSX: ITR; NYSE: ITRG) has successfully transformed from a development-stage company into a producing gold miner with the acquisition of the Florida Canyon mine, creating a compelling investment opportunity in the gold sector. The company's recent Q1 2025 results showcased robust production of 19,323 ounces of gold and established a solid financial foundation with $61.1 million in cash, demonstrating the operational and financial strength that underpins its growth strategy. The company's three-asset portfolio in the western United States creates a clear path to significant production growth. Florida Canyon currently produces approximately 75,000 ounces annually, but with the planned development of DeLamar and Wildcat, Integra aims to reach approximately 300,000 ounces of annual production. This growth trajectory follows a self-funded model where "one asset pays for the second which pays for the third," eliminating the need for dilutive equity financing that has historically constrained the company's ability to create shareholder value. The timing of Integra's transformation could not be more opportune, with gold prices reaching record levels around $3,400 per ounce. This price environment has dramatically enhanced the economics of Florida Canyon beyond initial expectations when the acquisition was made. While implementing prudent risk management through a put option strategy with a floor of $2,400 for 75% of 2025's expected production, Integra maintains full exposure to gold price upside, creating an attractive risk-reward profile.Integra has assembled what CEO George Salamis describes as a "builder's team" with the technical expertise to both operate existing mines and develop new projects. Key additions include COO Cliff LaFleur from Silvercrest and VP of Permitting Dale Kerner from Perpetua Resources, strengthening the company's ability to execute its development strategy. The current U.S. administration's supportive stance toward domestic mining projects further enhances Integra's operating environment, potentially accelerating permitting timelines for both DeLamar and Wildcat. From a valuation perspective, Integra currently trades at approximately 0.35x price-to-net asset value, compared to a junior producer peer average of 0.6x, suggesting significant potential for revaluation as the company executes its growth strategy. This discount largely stems from the market's focus primarily on Florida Canyon's value while attributing little value to the development-stage assets. As Integra advances DeLamar and Wildcat toward production using internally generated funds, this valuation gap should narrow. The company's strategic focus on optimization initiatives at Florida Canyon, including improvements to the electrowinning circuit, carbon-in-column circuit, and potential fleet upgrades, presents additional opportunities to enhance cash flow beyond current levels. These incremental improvements, combined with a planned 10,000-meter exploration program aimed at extending Florida Canyon's mine life beyond six years, could provide near-term catalysts for share price appreciation. For investors seeking exposure to gold with a combination of current production and significant growth potential, Integra Resources offers a compelling investment case. The company's transition from a perpetual fundraising cycle to a self-funded growth model, coupled with its experienced management team and strategic asset base in a favorable jurisdiction, positions it well to deliver substantial returns as it executes its clearly defined path to becoming a mid-tier gold producer.—View Integra Resources' company profile: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/companies/integra-resourcesSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com
In this episode of The Rainmaker Podcast, host Gui Costin, Founder and CEO of Dakota, sits down with Allen Gray, Managing Director at Silvercrest Asset Management Group. With decades of experience in institutional sales and marketing, Allen shares insights into his career, leadership philosophy, and the evolving landscape of institutional investing.Allen begins by discussing his career journey, which started at Kidder, Peabody & Company despite having no formal business education. He quickly adapted, completing accounting courses and participating in a management training program. After the firm's acquisition by General Electric, he sought partnership opportunities and co-founded Radnor Capital Management, growing assets from $10 million to $1.6 billion in six years before selling to U.S. Trust Company. Later, at Osprey Partners, he helped expand assets from $800 million to $4.2 billion in just two and a half years. At Silvercrest, Allen was tasked with building an institutional business from the ground up. When he joined in 2008, the firm had $6.5 billion in ultra-high-net-worth assets but only $100 million in institutional assets. Through strategic acquisitions and disciplined growth, Silvercrest now manages $10 billion in institutional assets, with top clients averaging over $400 million each. The firm has expanded investment capabilities, adding growth and international strategies.Allen's sales strategy emphasizes process over volume. His teams are structured into small, specialized silos with dedicated investment, client service, and business development professionals. He stresses relationship-building over transactional sales, ensuring long-term partnerships. Silvercrest also leverages subadvisory relationships, allowing distribution through larger platforms without engaging in retail sales.Communication and transparency are essential to Allen's leadership. Silvercrest tracks an "actionable pipeline", focusing on opportunities likely to close within six months. His trust-based leadership allows experienced professionals the freedom to execute their responsibilities while maintaining accountability. He prioritizes hiring skilled individuals, providing them with the right tools, and minimizing bureaucracy. For young professionals entering the fundraising business, Allen advises deep investment knowledge beyond sales materials. Understanding market dynamics, analyzing performance data, and maintaining transparency in tough times are key to success. He highlights industry challenges, including increased competition from consulting firms offering multi-manager funds, making direct institutional outreach more crucial.
Interview with Michael Konnert, President & CEO of Vizsla Silver Corp. Our previous interview: https://www.cruxinvestor.com/posts/vizsla-silver-tsxvvzla-all-known-questions-answered-6110Recording date: 3rd February 2025Vizsla Silver represents a unique investment opportunity in the silver sector, combining robust financials, clear development momentum, and significant growth potential. The company's recent transition from explorer to developer has been backed by several strategic decisions that differentiate it from peers in the precious metals space. At the core of Vizsla's investment case is its financial strength, with approximately C$130 million (US$90+ million) in treasury. This substantial cash position wasn't just opportunistic fundraising - it represents a deliberate strategy to de-risk the project's development pathway and provide flexibility in execution timing. As CEO Michael Konnert emphasizes, this approach ensures the company won't face pressure for discounted financings at crucial development stages. The company's flagship project in Sinaloa, Mexico, demonstrates compelling economics with an industry-leading NPV to CAPEX ratio of 5x. Recent resource growth of 43% in the Measured & Indicated category, now totaling over 222 million ounces, provides strong foundational support for the upcoming feasibility study. The project's sub-$9 AISC positions it to generate substantial margins across various silver price scenarios.Development progress is evident in the ongoing test mine, which represents more than just exploration - it's the permanent production access being developed ahead of schedule. This strategic approach to development, learning from successful predecessors like SilverCrest, aims to de-risk the crucial startup phase by building significant ore stockpiles before mill construction begins.Near-term catalysts include the feasibility study expected in the second half of 2025, ongoing permitting progress, and potential construction commencement in the first half of 2026. The company targets production for the second half of 2027, with project payback potentially as quick as six months at current silver prices.Beyond the initial development project, Vizsla offers substantial exploration upside across its expanded 30,000-hectare land package in the Sinaloa Silver Belt. The company's strategy of district consolidation, rather than external M&A, focuses value creation within a proven geological terrain. What makes Vizsla particularly compelling in the current market is the scarcity of quality silver development projects. As Konnert notes, "There's really only a handful of development stories at all in silver, and there's really only a small few, Vizsla certainly included, that have any real economic value."This positioning, combined with silver's positive supply-demand dynamics and its role as both a precious and industrial metal, creates a unique investment opportunity in the silver sector. For investors seeking exposure to silver with a clear path to production, strong management execution, and multiple avenues for value creation, Vizsla presents a compelling investment case backed by substantial financial resources and strategic development planning.—Learn more: https://cruxinvestor.com/companies/vizsla-silver-corpSign up for Crux Investor: https://cruxinvestor.com
Dave Kranzler, Fund Manager and Publisher of the Mining Stock Journal and the Short Seller's Journal, joins me for a wide-ranging discussion on the truth and fiction in macroeconomic numbers from the government, what stocks he is shorting in the general equities, and what gold and silver stocks he is bullish on in the junior precious metals sector. It's a longer-format interview and we really cover a lot of ground in it. We start off looking at the gulf between the macroeconomic numbers we get from the government reports, and the actual numbers showing up in the real world, and how to balance those out as investors trying to digest all of this. When looking at inflation readings, or jobs numbers, or GDP estimates, there is a huge impact in the markets created in the way these metrics are calculated or massaged, and a large impact from the government's own involvement and overspending. Even the Fed's M2 figures, despite it coming down when looking at year over year percentages are misleading as the M2 supply has been growing since 2023. The manufacturing numbers show many parts of the US having been in recessionary territory for years now, and as a result, many consumers are strapped by higher than reported actual inflation in their daily lives, and big segments of the public are cutting back on discretionary spending. When contrasting the economy with the moves in the markets, it is very much 2 different lenses to view things through, with the general S&P and Nasdaq indexes having continued to make all time highs most of this year. Dave points out that if investors do their due diligence on individual companies that have been pushed to severe overvaluations, that there are still plenty of short-selling opportunities out there, citing his calls in Tesla (NASDAQ: TSLA), Super Micro Computer (NasdaqGS: SMCI), and more recently short calls on Harley-Davidson, Inc. (NYSE:HOG), and some of the US homebuilders. Next we pivoted over to the drivers in gold from the eastern buying and BRICs countries central banks purchasing the monetary metal as the number 2 asset on their balance sheets after the US dollar. We discuss the dearth of western demand for gold and the gold stocks considering the backdrop we are seeing with gold having hit all-time highs since the end of last year and all through this year. This leads us into a discussion about gold stocks where Dave sees a good value proposition, including Viva Gold Corp (TSX.V: VAU) (OTCQB: VAUCF), Cabral Gold Inc. (TSXV: CBR) (OTC: CBGZF), Heliostar Metals Ltd. (TSXV: HSTR) (OTCQX: HSTXF), and Integra Resources Corp. (TSXV: ITR) (NYSE-A: ITRG). We then got into Dave's silver price expectations, and 2 recent high-profile merger and acquisition deals where Gatos Silver, Inc. (TSX: GATO) (NYSE: GATO) is being acquired by First Majestic Silver Corp. (TSX: AG) (NYSE: AG), and where SilverCrest Metals Inc. (TSX: SIL) (NYSE American: SILV) getting bought out by Coeur Mining, Inc. (NYSE: CDE). We then get Dave's thesis on why he believes New Pacific Metals Corp. (TSX: NUAG) (NYSE-A: NEWP) will get rerated higher, to a better multiple on the economic studies they just released on 2 different projects. This leads into a discussion on what the appropriate metals prices assumptions should be in economics studies, and why more companies in the PM sector are not at least highlighting their robust project economics at somewhere close to spot prices. Wrapping up ponder if the valuations and momentum trading will come back to the PM juniors, or if this time really is different? Click here to learn more about Dave's newsletters and service.
Brien Lundin, Editor of the Gold Newsletter and our host at the New Orleans Investment Conference joins me to discuss the current trends and future prospects of the gold market. Despite a slight decline since late September, gold continues in an uptrend with dips being generally shallow. Looking at the gold chart, Brien notes technical indicators like Bollinger Bands, which have historically signaled pauses and subsequent rallies within bull markets. He also addresses the relative resilience of gold amidst a rising U.S. dollar and interest rates, suggesting broader financial system worries might be driving the parallel increase in gold prices. We also discuss the performance of major and mid-tier gold miners, noting their financial successes and the potential shift towards increased M&A activities as they seek to maintain growth and appeal to generalist investors. On the silver front, Coeur Mining's acquisition of SilverCrest is highlighted, underscoring the industry's ongoing consolidation trend. Brien also touches upon the current exploration landscape, noting high-grade discoveries, and potential opportunities in existing resource-rich juniors. Looking ahead, we discuss what to expect from the 50th anniversary of the New Orleans Investment Conference from November 20th-23rd. Renowned speakers and industry experts are set to provide valuable insights, with a money-back guarantee that reinforces the conference's commitment to delivering substantial value to attendees. Dave Erfle, Editor of the Junior Miner Junky joins us to discuss the current pullback in gold, silver and the underlying equities. We also look at the changing political landscape in Mexico and the SilverCrest US$1.7billion takeover. Dave provides insights into gold's correction after a lengthy bullish streak and highlights geopolitical factors like tensions in the Middle East, which previously propped up gold prices. We also consider the implications of a strong dollar and higher interest rates on the commodities sector. We then analyze the performance and future outlook of gold stocks, using GDX and GDXJ as references, amidst record high gold prices and earnings. On the silver front we discuss market dynamics and recent M&A activities in the sector, with SilverCrest being acquired for US$1.7billion by Coeur Mining. We balance the necessity for consolidation in the silver mining industry, the strategic significance of certain geographies for development assets, and the evolving investor confidence in Mexican mining projects under new leadership. Jim McDonald, President and CEO of Kootenay Silver (TSX.V:KTN - OTC:KOOYF) joins us to recap yesterday's (August 14th) news release reporting assay results from 11 holes at the Columba Project, in Mexico, focused on expanding the D-Vein. Refer to the drill plan map and long section from the news release, posted below, for a better understanding of the location of these results. Key takeaways include the expansion of the D-Vein's strike length to over a kilometer from an initial 450 meters, at the start of this year's drill program. These results are part of the 20,000-meter fully funded drill program. Jim explains the strategic importance of these results, their implications for future resource estimates, and the aggressive, step-out drilling approach for this year's program. Finally, comparisons are drawn to similar successes at projects like Silvercrest's Las Chispas Mine and Vizsla Silver's Panuco Project, emphasizing the potential for high-grade, wide intercepts to substantially increase resource volumes. Chris Ritchie, President of SilverCrest Metals ("SilverCrest" or the "Company") (TSX:SIL - NYSE:SILV) joins us to recap the Q4 and year-end financial results from the Las Chispas Mine, in Mexico, released on March 11th. The Company beat guidance on 2023 sales and all-in sustaining costs ("AISC") as well as an increase of $54.4million in treasury assets. We have Chris share his thoughts on the pop in share price on the back of the financial results and ask about a possible short squeeze. We then focus on the balance sheet strength, with treasury assets of $105.2 million ($86.0 million cash and $19.2 million in bullion). We ask how the Company will manage the cash and build bullion on the balance sheet. The Company is committed to building the bullion holdings and leading the sector and other producers to do this as well. Since costs are such a focus for investors in the sector we focus on the AISC, reported at $12.58 per oz AgEq sold which beat the low end of the 2023 guidance range of $12.75 to $13.75 per oz AgEq sold. As costs are rising industry wide we focus on the 2024 guidance and how the Company is controlling cost increases. We wrap up with a comment on the exploration plans for this year at the Las Chispas Project. Also listen to the prior interview with Chris where we focused on the 2024 guidance - click here to listen.

Chris Ritchie, President of SilverCrest Metals ("SilverCrest" or the "Company") (TSX:SIL - NYSE:SILV) joins me to recap a volatile 2023 and look ahead to 2024. The Company is exiting 2023 with a mine that is in operation, generating positive cash-flow, cash and bullion on the balance sheet of around $100million and no debt. Chris recaps the year by discussing the technical report release mid-year and the Company growing its gold and silver bullion holdings. When looking ahead to 2024 we start with the production at the Las Chispas Mine in Mexico. We discuss if there are any major changes to the mine operations and cash-flow for the Company in the new year. We also focus on the holding of gold and silver bullion. Chris outlines a number of reasons why he thinks other mining companies should hold bullion as well. For 2024 guidance we discuss the share buy back plans and exploration. Watch this on YouTube! Rick Rule our commodities guru comes back on the show to answer your questions! We start off by getting a breakdown of the BRICS, and what Rick Rule expects for the August 22nd meeting. He teaches us portfolio allocation, and what happened recently with SilverCrest. We talk about Aya and Mag, as well as an update on Platinum. Rick takes a deep dive into Niger Uranium, and the implications for Goviex and Global Atomic. We discuss our comatose Russian stocks, and if they will ever be revived or are destined to shed their mortal coil. Rick teaches us oil, and the likely continued success of investing in that sector. Pan American Silver mining production would almost double if Escobal is restarted. Rick tells us what will happen to our junior mining stocks during a recession. Watch this on YouTube! The S&P 500 looks like it is going to have a short term bounce. Gold is falling with major support at $1840. Silver is looking fantastic, but if a gold continues to fall silver is probably going to follow. We pull up the charts of companies: SilverCrest, Mag Silver, and Pan American Silver. Platinum and Nickel are looking good. Long term bonds are approaching 20 year lows. Now is the time to start adding them to your portfolio if you haven't done so already. Oil continues to perform. BHP and Rio Tinto came into buys this week. Uranium spot price has gone up, now $58.27 per pound with contracts in December at $60. Watch this on YouTube! The S&P 500 has rolled over, it might even hit the 50 SMA. Another way to play that could be to bet the RSP Equal Weight Index, leaving us less exposed to the tech sector. Gold hitting on nice support, we can leverage that with Barrick and the ETFs. Silver dropped to nice support last week. SilverCrest came out with an updated Independent Technical Report. Turns out they have less metal in the ground than they thought they did. Read the report here and let us know what you think Platinum is approaching a buy, and if you caught it TLT got pretty cheap for a hot minute. Fitch downgraded US Debt from AAA to AA+. Japan is selling bonds and treasuries like pancakes, both factors driving yields up. Oil continues to perform, collect your dividends and hold. Watch this on YouTube! The Fed raised interest rates last week another 25bps, and the market did not care. S&P 500 continues to climb, gold closed the week flat despite some volatile moves on Wednesday and Thursday. Silver had some sharp moves but closed the week 1% down. Bought more SilverCrest in anticipation of them reaching nameplate capacity in a couple weeks. Also purchased more TLT when it shot down from the hike in interest rates. Copper had a nice bump in the equities when the spot price rose. Uranium and Cameco especially is performing like a boss. Pretty overbought, hoping for a correction for we can buy more. Watch this on YouTube! We bring up the charts for the S&P 500, still looking bullish as ever. Great example of a bullish chart, just remember to completely forget any fundamentals and it should keep going up. Gold steadily climbing higher, interesting buy points for the miners. Silver has an interesting entry point, especially in the miner SilverCrest. Platinum is moving up as expected, we sold a position in a PMG miner, Sibanye Stillwater. Bonds priced in the next rate hike of 25bps, keep buying 8 week T-Bills. SPUT is still a screaming deal, over 12% discount to spot, and when we factor in the term market, it is even better. Watch this on YouTube! The dollar (DXY) has become weaker. This has moved gold up 1.5% and silver up 8% last week. The path of least resistance for the dollar is down, and the path of least resistance of the metals and miners is up. Listen to David Brady. Listen to Rick Rule. Listen to Jordan Roy-Byrne. The bet this week as we see it is small additions to Barrick Gold, GDX, GDXJ, and SilverCrest. And don't forget, the Sprott Physical Uranium Trust. That is still a screaming deal. Chris Ritchie, President of SilverCrest Metals (TSX:SIL - NYSE:SILV) joins us to recap the November 29th new release announcing the restructuring of the Company's debt package. As Chris outlines, this new debt package lowers the overall interest rate and provides more financial flexibility to repay or draw on the debt. We also discuss a couple bigger picture items including a possible GDX inclusion, the short position in the stock and the shift in the types of investors coming into the stock now that commercial production has been declared. There was also news released on November 30th outlining the release of the the Company's inaugural Task Force for Climate Related Financial Discloser and Water Stewardship Reports. Chris Ritchie, President of SilverCrest Metals (TSX:SIL - NYSE:SILV) joins us to recap the news today declaring commercial production at the Las Chispas Project in Mexico. In under 7 years the Company went from discovery to commercial production. Even more impressive in this market is the mine was built on budget and on time. After recapping what it means to declare commercial production we discuss how this could help the Company renegotiate its current debt facility and options to pay down the debt. We also focus on where Chris sees possible buying coming into the stock. A possible inclusion into GDX, short covering and simple demand for a profitable silver miner are all areas we discuss. If you have any follow up questions for Chris please email us at Fleck@kereport.com and Shad@kereport.com. Click here to visit the SilverCrest Metals website and read over the recent news.

Today's conversation is with Greg Cook. Many of you know Greg fro his 10 years at the IFA, running all things marketing. Well, today he has parlayed all of that experience and more, as he heads up Silvercrest Technology and Marketing, as President and CEO. Among our topics of conversation today, are just how much the lines have fuzzed between the disciplines of marketing and technology and what the recipe calls for in today's post COVID world of franchise marketing. Silvercrest was founded in 2011 to fill a growing need for franchisees to access marketing and media efficiently. The agency is dedicated to delivering brand solutions for franchised and multi-unit organizations utilizing a combination of proprietary technology, customer data, marketing needs, and media buying, harnessed in one sophisticated yet simple platform. Greg Cook joins us today to discuss his recipe for successful franchise and multi-unit level marketing.

While gold was flashing yellow, gold miners made a number of aggressive deals this week.Ron Macdonald, CEO of Zinc8 Energy Solutions (CSE:ZAIR), joined correspondent Paul Harris and Mining Audiences Manager Michael McCrae to record Kitco Roundtable podcast on Friday.Today gold tumbled around 4% as investors sold off the precious metal. February Comex gold futures were last trading at $1,839.40, down 3.88% on the day after breaching a key $1,850 an ounce level. The fall is being blamed on a rise in bond yields and worries about the economy, resulting in liquidation and a flight to cash. However, analysts are still holding onto a long-term bullish trend for gold. Writes that the year ahead is shaping up to be a ‘steady-as-she-goes' year for Fed policy, which is expected to be generally supportive of precious metals for the next two to three years.Despite gold's wobbles, miners announced big moves this week. Agnico Eagle bought TMAC Resources for $286 million Canadian. Of course Shandong announced its takeover offer last May after TMAC but was prevented by federal government with Canadian and China relations souring. Agnico Eagle paid about 26% higher than Shandong's bid.SilverCrest Metals announced this week that it secured project financing facility of US$120 million with RK Mining to build its Las Chispas project in Mexico. SilverCrest already has a contract with Ausenco for construction. Commissioning of the process plant is targeted for Q2 2022 and production ramp-up is slated to begin in Q3 2022.Macdonald's Zinc8 develops energy storage technology. Macdonald is excited about the political changes ahead in the U.S., and the Biden administration should be supportive of moves towards renewables and electrification.

#SilverCrest Metals: A High Grade #Silver Producer To Consider With the reasons to expect a rally in the precious metals space continuing to grow with each printed Federal Reserve dollar, we're continuing our look into some of the silver mining stocks. Because while it hasn't been the easiest of times for these miners while the #silverprice is low, in a rising silver price environment there's the opportunity for great potential upside.
