On the afternoon of May 9, 1980, four heavily armed men walked into the Security Pacific Bank in Norco, California and demanded $20,000 in cash. Having seen the men enter the bank with their guns, employees of a different bank across the street called the Riverside County Sheriff's Department and deputies responded immediately.When the bank robbers were confronted in the parking lot by law enforcement, a shootout began that would ultimately span more than forty miles across two counties, and when it was finally over, one sheriff's deputy and two of the perpetrators were dead, eleven others were wounded. Every now and again, I'll find a story that's just really upsetting to me. Now, obviously a lot of the stories I cover are all quite distressing. But today's story, which is about a missing hiker named Mike Turner – it just really upset me. It actually made it really hard to record this episode. So, consider this your warning that I personally believe this is a very upsetting story, but an important story that we would not be covering if there wasn't some real weight behind it. And I think the moral of this story, ultimately, is you really need to treasure your family while they're still around. On a summer morning in 2007, a woman was working in the printing shop she owned in a suburban strip mall. Suddenly, she heard a loud banging noise coming from somewhere above her. She stopped the printer she was working on so she could hear better, and the sound kept coming – BANG, BANG, BANG. It was like metal drawers opening and slamming shut. She was about to go outside to see what was happening, but she stopped and just started laughing. Her friend who owned the business on the second floor right above her had a habit of rearranging his office, so the banging was probably file cabinets getting moved around. As a joke, she shouted up through the ceiling, “Keep it down, I'm working!” And then she restarted the printer. But about an hour and half later, she heard another loud noise. This time, it was the wail of sirens as police cars raced into the parking lot. The woman would soon find out that the noises she had heard earlier were not her upstairs neighbor rearranging furniture. Tonight, we're joined by Steven from New York State, who's had more than his share of strange encounters. One unforgettable night during his teenage years, a quiet swim with a friend turned surreal when a blinding light and a deep, vibrating hum descended above their pool, leaving the boys in stunned silence. Later in life, Steven witnessed a truly massive, flat-bottomed craft drifting silently over his neighborhood. It was a moment of awe, quickly followed by disbelief from others… until a friend independently confirmed seeing the same UFO just miles away, describing it in exact detail. But Steven's experiences go far beyond traditional sightings. In 1986, a weekend trip to a lakeside cottage took a bizarre turn when two men revealed that their friend “BILL” wasn't from Earth. While on duty on the morning of 28th November 1980 he had been investigating a case of a missing herd of cows, from his police car he saw a bright light in the road ahead that he describes as a hovering, rotating object. Missing time and an attempted cover-up by the MOD and his superiors impacted both Alan's personal and professional life.A few months before his UFO encounter, Alan was involved in a mysterious case. In the afternoon of the 11th of June 1980 a dead body was found that was later identified as Zigmund Adamski, he had been missing for 5 days and lived in a village at a distance of about 30 km from the site. Alan was called in to investigate the case. The body was lying on its back on the top of a high coal heap, dressed by someone else as the jacket had been fastened unevenly, the shirt was missing, and the shoes had not been tied properly. Also, there were no trails that could explain how the body got there.
