It's common for symptoms of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) or Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) to be overlooked or "explained away" by professionals as depression, anxiety, or overwhelm when it shows up in women. Today, I interview Carol Vincie who shares a compelling story of her journey to discover and embrace her own voice despite the challenges posed by Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD). Carol's story reflects the struggle many face when dealing with these conditions, as she navigated a world that often misunderstands or stigmatizes them.Carol's lack of a voice revolved around her undiagnosed ADD. She lived for decades and decades with undiagnosed ADD. 30 years ago the person she was living with suggested she see a therapist. The therapist's comment was "You have been far too successful to even consider ADD". She closed the box on that discussion for another 3 decades. When Carol discovered a name for her condition it took her 3 years to open her mouth to anyone. A coach spent another 2 years nudging her to realize her ADD was responsible for her vision, creativity, and boundless energy. Her journey of self-discovery and acceptance ultimately led her to view ADD and ADHD not as limitations but as superpowers, unlocking a new perspective on how these conditions can be harnessed as strengths.Carol's mission and passion is to accelerate the discovery journey for entrepreneurial business professionals. To assist them to recognize their gifts and talents that come so easily they fail to value them. To provide direction to position themselves in roles that highlight their Super Powers.__________________Carol is a serial entrepreneur who started at 16, a successful corporate executive for 25 years, and a venture capital participant. A Parenting Resource for Children’s Behavior and Mental Health
Dealing with oppositional behavior in individuals can be quite challenging for parents, often leading to feelings of frustration, helplessness, and even guilt. It's crucial to recognize that experiencing these emotions is a natural response to the difficulties presented by oppositional behavior and should not be viewed as a reflection of one's parenting abilities. Thus, it's essential to emphasize that overcoming these challenges is possible. Learn more about skillfully handling frustrated children and fostering a more harmonious environment for them and the whole family. That's why in today's episode, we'll delve into effective strategies to mitigate possible conflicts in a household, focusing on effectively managing oppositional defiant behaviors in uncooperative kids. Managing oppositional defiant behaviors in children. It's crucial to understand Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD) and differentiate it from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). ODD manifests in explosive reactions, especially when children face simple requests or the word "no." Understanding that ODD and ADD are distinct clinical conditions is key insofar as their brain profiles and responses to treatments greatly differ. For so long, I've noticed that some children are easily overwhelmed with frustration, making them more prone to exhibiting oppositional behaviors. Children who are more prone to frustration often find it challenging to cope with situations that don't align with their expectations or desires. They may struggle to regulate their emotions effectively, leading to outbursts of anger, defiance, or irritability.ODD becomes apparent when a kid consistently exhibits anger and hostility, especially in response to simple requests from authority figures. In many cases, these oppositional behaviors serve as a coping mechanism for children who lack the necessary emotional regulation skills. When they encounter situations that trigger frustration or discomfort, their immediate response may be to assert control or push back, often manifesting as defiance or noncompliance. It's important to recognize that ODD is a genuine clinical disorder, and from my perspective, it's associated with broader clinical issues such as mood disorders like depression or bipolar disorder which can significantly impact a child's emotional regulation, resilience, and overall outlook on life. In my work, I've encountered children with ODD and observed that their behavior isn't simply a result of a different brain profile; there's often more to it. Sometimes, this behavior stems from early stages of life, and I've found a consistent pattern in their behavior since infancy. However, it's also important to acknowledge cases where children develop ODD following a traumatic event or other circumstances. In addressing oppositional behavior, the first step is maintaining a calm demeanor for a harmonious family environment. Regulating oneself and sharing a sense of tranquility can be incredibly impactful, especially when dealing with highly sensitive individuals who might have rejection sensitivity dysphoria, a common occurrence in children with ADHD. That is why I emphasize the importance of nurturing one's nervous system through various methods like PEMF, neurofeedback, magnesium supplementation, breathwork, and more. The good news is that we have a multi-magnesium brain formula – our Neurotastic line – which contains highly bioavailable magnesium crucial for mental health and is available on our website.Another essential aspect is setting clear boundaries and expectations. Blurred lines often cause conflicts in parent-child relationships. As such, providing clear guidelines empowers children to understand limits and fosters healthy interactions. Thus, effective parenting involves not only regulating emotions but also establishing clear boundaries to nurture positive behaviors.Managing...

Why this is important: Isn't it about time to have an understanding of Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) beyond prescribing stimulants? The current psychiatric treatment for ADD is to go from a diagnosis to prescribing medication, often starting in elementary school. These stimulants work on the same neurotransmitters as cocaine and cause long-term dependency. Dr. Alice W. Part of the work we do to treat addiction is to work through the other preexisting conditions and environmental factors that could contribute to addictive behavior. Those who suffer from a co-morbid condition will notice that addiction recovery is much harder to treat without also addressing the other condition. Recently, we have more insight than ever before how Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) plays a role in sex addiction in particular. Today, our guest is Dr. John Sealy, who has been an advocate and forerunner in how ADD and Addiction influence one another. As we learn more and more about the treatment of ADD, we can also change how we treat sex addiction. Dr. Sealy is passionate about ensuring that people get the help they need. He does not treat addiction as a single issue but looks at the whole patient to assess the care they need. Due to the inherent stigma and shame that many sufferers carry around Sex Addiction, it has historically been difficult for these people to receive treatment. Dr. Sealy is working to change that. We are excited to bring to you today all the latest research, methodology, and new insight that will be liberating for many in the recovery process. This will be an episode that is helpful and encouraging to those who are in recovery. Help and hope are available for you. These are a few of the 7 certified food colors (“FD&C colors”; FD&C = Food, Drugs & Cosmetics) approved for widespread use in the U.S. These dyes, made from carcinogenic ingredients, are added to many processed foods, candies, beverages, over-the-counter medications, and vitamins in the US, especially those intended for children. But since the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) initially approved the food dyes between 1969 and 1987, (when few studies of children were available) clinical trials using synthetic dyes have examined neurobehavioral outcomes in children, and laboratory studies of neurotoxic effects in developing animals have become available. Food dyes have been anecdotally and scientifically shown to negatively affect behavior, especially in children, the effects of which is most profound in children with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and other behavioral issues, increasing hyperactivity, impulsiveness, and inattention. Animal studies indicate effects of exposure to synthetic food dyes on activity, memory and learning, changes in neurotransmitter systems in the brain, and microscopic changes in brain structure. Learn more about the harmful effects of artificial dyes and colors in this episode of the Renegade Nutrition podcast, and find out what you can do to keep yourself and your family safe! Here is the complete list of artificial dyes approved for use in the US: brilliant blue (Blue No. 1b) indigotine (Blue No. 2) fast green (Green No. 3) tartrazine (Yellow No. 5b) sunset yellow (Yellow No. 6b) erythrosine (Red No. 3) allura red (Red No. 40b) --- This episode is sponsored by · Anchor: The easiest way to make a podcast. https://anchor.fm/app Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/elanie-welch/support
Our guest today has been involved in the field of neuroscience for two decades and has been regarded as one of the foremost Brain Performance Experts in the country. Dr. Jeffrey L. Fannin has a Ph.D. in Psychology, an MBA, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Mass Communications and is the creator of the Center for Cognitive Enhancement that later transformed into Thought Genius, LLC where he and his s team of experts have been brain-mapping and training the brain for over 17 years. He has worked with traumatic brain injury, stroke, chronic pain, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), Attention Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), anxiety disorders, depression, as well as personal performance related to academics, sports, and executive leadership training to enhance mental and emotional dexterity. His cutting-edge research, co-authored with Rob Williams was published in a variety of peer-reviewed scientific journals presenting accurate measures for creating balanced brainwave energy. For the past years, he and his team did international research with Dr. Joe Dispenza regarding personal transformation. As a Neuroscientist, he has worked with meditators and consulting and training over 4,000 + individuals from different countries, walks of life, and educational backgrounds. Dr. Fannin appears in the movie “PGS Personal Guidance System – Intuition as the neuroscientist explaining intuition."Dr. Fannin was part of a research team at Arizona State University researching neuroscience and leadership; focusing on research accomplished at the United States Military Academy at West Point. He has appeared on Quantum World TV, The New Frontier, and Awakening; also, on Gaia TV, You Are Not Your Brain. His work has been featured in local media, and international media such as the Wall Street Journal, Fox News, ABC Daily, Business Week, London Financial Times, Singapore's Weekend Edition, BBC radio, and many more. Dr. Fannin also hosted a popular weekly radio show, "Help! My Thoughts Are Holding Me Hostage". He is the author of "Thought Genius: Commanding The Power of Thought". Recognizing that thought is one of the most powerful forces in the universe. This book teaches you how to harness your thoughts, connecting them with universal principles to be, do or have anything you desire. His new book: "Under The Influence: Energy + Frequency + Vibration = Well-Being" which will be published this year, speaks about how science tells us all things have a frequency. Our bodies, the body cells therein can generate and receive energy. Energy is information that functions by sending and receiving specific vibrations. When our natural frequencies become mixed up or distorted, the body's ability to self-regulate and maintain a healthy function is compromised and good things stop happening. This is the first part of three, of Dr. Fannin sharing with us the fascinating world of the mind, heart resonance, chakras, morphogenetic field and what it takes for us human beings to live with optimal performance and how we can all rejuvenate and activate the energy, frequency, and vibration of that energy at the cellular level. In his words, Dr. Fannin tells us that "The fact is…we are under the influence of energy, frequency, and vibration it affects everything in our life, including our ability to function and our well-being to enjoy life. This book; "Under The Influence: Energy + Frequency + Vibration = Well-Being”unlocks the secrets of the universe to guide you in easy, non-scientific terms, understanding how you can apply the universal laws of energy, frequency, and vibration to design your aspirations into what you require for yourself. What Are The Theta Binaural Beats Benefits? For those of you who don't know what Theta waves are – they're number ‘2' of the slowest type of brainwave that occurs regularly in your brain. Theta waves normally surface when you're experiencing potent emotions, including when you're most creative or have heightened spiritual feelings. Free Weekly Newsletter To Learn Meditation So You Can Meditate More Effectively HERE... Binaural beats can help you experience your true self and feelings by using Theta waves in recordings designed especially to improve a behavior pattern or get rid of an addiction. There's another brainwave called “Beta” that influences another area of your brain. When you've been on Beta brainwaves too long, you might experience imbalances in your potassium and sodium levels. Your conscious level then experiences a lack of concentration and mental fatigue. Sodium and potassium levels can be reset when you experience Theta waves. These two minerals help transport valued chemicals in and out of brain cells. When these two important mineral levels are reset, you'll feel refreshed, mentally relaxed, and ready to focus on work or creative pursuits. Learn More About Theta Wave Binaural Beats Meditation For Insight and Intuition HERE... Since we're all different, many of us can delve into Theta states easier than others. Those who practice relaxation and meditation techniques on a regular basis are more likely to experience the many positive effects of Theta brain waves more naturally – and faster. It may also help to know that Theta waves are found in our brains when we experience deep relaxation, a spurt of learning activity, and when we're close to sleep. Understandably, Theta waves occur more often in children. Binaural Beats Science Scientific studies have found that people who suffer from Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can't focus as well because of less activity of Theta waves. More people are realizing the positive benefits of Theta waves – and are using binaural beats to achieve a Theta state of mind. Some other positive effects of Theta waves are: Healing – The body heals much more complete and much faster when you're in the Theta state. Intuition – Who doesn't want to have more acute intuition? You can work on improving your intuitive qualities with Theta waves. Confidence – Theta waves bring a sense of self-esteem to your brain. You'll feel more confident about your skills and capabilities. Unbelievably Easy Ways To Improve Your Life... Suffer from Insomnia?? Please listen to this special interview of a woman who suffered with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) her whole life. Her name is Natacha and wants to remain anonymous. If you do have questions i can reach her if you email me at my address listed below. I think this is a very important episode that all parents need to listen to if they think their children(s) are showing signs of the problem. They're not lazy, bad, out of it. They just learn in a different way. People with this issue can be happy if it is caught and treated at an early age. Natacha is doing much better on the drug Vyvanse. But that might not be right for you or your children. I implore you to have an open mind on this subject , because thinking your stupid and worthless can lead to anxiety, depression and possibly suicide. Help yourself or your love one through this terrible problem. Please. Jamie Roberts Nelson LMFT is the founder of Equilibrium Counseling Services, a teen mental health center in Southern CA. After being diagnosed with ADHD as an adult Jamie dove into the literature and lived experiences of neurodivergent people to better understand the nuances of ADHD, Autism and the prevalence of misdiagnosis. Jamie has worked in conjunction with an adolescent psychiatrist assessing and differentiating adolescent symptomology for over 8 years. In her own practice she provides support and psychoeducation to teens, young adults and their families to better understand and celebrate the magic of a neurodivergent mind. *ADHD vs ADD: Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) was formerly known as Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Entrepreneur Peter Shankman talks about how he has harnessed the power of ADHD to achieve faster than normal entrepreneurial success in this episode of the Go For Launch podcast. If you want to peer into the mind of someone who has harnessed what some would consider a “weakness”—and instead flip the script to achieve faster than normal entrepreneurial success—I can’t think of a better person to talk to than Peter Shankman. Peter is a media entrepreneur who runs several businesses, gives keynote speeches around the world, hosts a popular podcast, runs marathons and Iron Mans, is a licensed skydiver and dabbles in angel investing. He’s founded and sold several successful companies, most notably Help A Reporter Out (HARO), which was acquired by Vocus in 2010. He’s also written five books, including the most recent Faster Than Normal: Turbocharge Your Focus, Productivity, and Success with the Secrets of the ADHD Brain. Peter spoke to me for this episode of the Go For Launch podcast. He’s candid about being diagnosed with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) at the age of 30, and how he has learned to self-impose constraints to accomplish more in his life. As someone who also was diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) late in life, I appreciate Peter’s perspective and what he’s been able to accomplish—by embracing his neurodiversity.
Sam Blumenfeld exposes the real reason why children get Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). It is created in the classroom by using the look-say method of reading. Please visit our website www.campconstitution.net

After relating to a dyspraxia report of someone else, she asks her colleague, who is an occupational therapist, if she thinks she might be dyspraxic. The therapist said she knew right away after 30 minutes of meeting her. All the clues were visible. That shocked her. Kerry Pace was helping students with dyslexia without knowing that she has Dyspraxia, Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), and Sensory Processing Disorder. There were a lot of circumstances that unknowingly hid Kerry’s learning difficulty issues throughout her childhood. The clumsiness, inattentiveness, and absences at school were attributed to other factors rather than dyspraxia. She was also great at masking these signs being innovative and adaptive. With the help of these attributes, she was able to identify a problem that no one else did. In part 1 of the 3 part episode, we discover the exciting story of Kerry Pace and how she created Diverse Learners, an online tutoring service for people with dyspraxia. Recently, transcranial direct current stimulation (tDCS) or the non-invasive targeting of weak direct current (DC) to specific brain regions has received media attention. Among the scientific research community, tDCS has been a subject of great interest owing to its usage ease, relative inexpensiveness, and encouraging research results on a range of functions. Studies have seen tDCS accelerate learning, reduce symptoms of dementia, and improve attention in those with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD). Imagine walking into the emergency room with chest pains. The doctor asks you a few questions and rushes you in for bypass surgery based on how things appear without ever running a test. Would you be comfortable with this? Wouldn't you rather have the doctor run some tests to confirm you don't have GERD or another condition unrelated to your heart? In this episode host Jeff Copper interviews Dr. Charles Parker, the author of “ADHD Medication Rules: Paying Attention to the Meds for Paying Attention.” In the show Jeff and Dr. Parker discuss the outdated ADHD diagnostic practice and look at science today. Dr. Kevin Ross Emery, a resident of Maine, maintains a private practice focusing on alternative approaches for dealing with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD and ADHD), Spiritual Coaching and Counseling, and Medical Intuition. He is a cutting-edge practitioner whose career has spanned several different worlds. Born into a family of healers who included a Full Blooded Mic-Mac Medicine woman, a Harvard University psychic test subject and a premier medium at Camp Etna at the turn of the century, Dr. Kevin Ross Emery is no stranger to spiritual and psychic gifts. Working as an intuitive for over 30 years, Kevin ran a successful healing center in Portsmouth, NH for many years. Today, he serves the New England Seacoast with his many talents and powerful healing arts. Dr. Kevin keeps office hours in Portland, Maine, and Haverhill, Massachusetts. Dr Kevin received his doctorate from the Universal Brotherhood University. He chose that program to pursue his doctorate because of the criteria that was required. Unlike many doctorial programs that emphasize the study and regurgitation of other people's thoughts and ideas he liked the unique approach of UBU. Their criteria was that he had to create something tangible, that he had to make a case for, and that made the world a better place through its creation. He took his experience from private practice working with children and adults with ADD/ADHD. He used that information to first turn into lectures on his findings, then created workshops of varying lengths, worked with teachers, parents and other support systems for individuals with ADD/ADHD. His exhaustive work as well as research become his doctorial thesis (and later book). He is fully aware that his alternative education was from a non-accredited university but he felt it was the best choice for his work. www.weboflight.com
