In this episode, I'm talking through what to do when someone asks you to work for free, whether it's an unpaid "test project", spec work, or a talk with no budget. I share why you can (and should) feel confident declining, plus a few polite scripts you can use. If you do want to offer something, I cover alternatives like directing people to your portfolio/testimonials, creating a short free resource that builds your mailing list, offering a paid taster or paid spec work, or agreeing a clear skill swap. I also explain when free appearances can be more like PR/marketing (such as podcasts or local networking talks), and why "exposure" rarely pays, especially without anything agreed in writing, even for unpaid work. In this enlightening episode of the Stuck In My Mind Podcast, Wize welcomes Kayse Gehret, a transformational wellness pioneer with over 31 years of experience. As founder of Microdosing for Healing, Casey has guided more than 1,400 people in 30 countries toward clarity, balance, and self-connection through earth-based and international practices. Together, Speaker A and Speaker B embark on a deep conversation about the journey of healing, the misconceptions around wellness, and what it really takes to reconnect with yourself in an increasingly disconnected world. An Origin Story Rooted in Healing The episode opens with Casey's personal story, tracing her childhood desire to pursue a healing profession. She initially started on a conventional path toward becoming a doctor, studying pre-med, before a significant turning point led her to California and alternative medicine. Casey shares how energy work, body work, and somatic practices gradually became her life's passion, eventually leading to the creation of her global community (02:08). Her early experiences—including the trauma of losing her father to suicide and the challenges within her family—sparked a curiosity in psychology and human health that has shaped her approach (04:06). She speaks candidly about how a sense of purpose, combined with a personal “blueprint,” led her to recognize her calling from a young age. Navigating Stigma and Skepticism Casey recounts the skepticism she faced when transitioning from conventional medicine to alternative practices, especially during the early years when energy work and body work commanded little respect. This experience primed her for the challenges of working with psychedelics and natural medicines, specifically microdosing with psilocybin mushrooms (05:07). Casey describes growing up during the Reagan-era “Just Say No” campaign, surrounded by stigma and misinformation about psychedelics, and shares her own cautious approach informed by personal health concerns like a seizure disorder (07:52). She explains that microdosing appealed to her as a gentle, sub-threshold practice, more akin to taking a supplement than a mind-altering drug. Unexpectedly, it brought significant healing: her seizure disorder disappeared, her nervous system recalibrated, and her skepticism transformed into advocacy. Over six years, Casey has watched the stigma around microdosing fade, replaced by curiosity and open-minded questions (08:51). Challenging Pharmaceutical Dependence A major theme emerges around the dominance of pharmaceutical companies in traditional media and medicine. Speaker A and Speaker B emphasize that many remedies simply create lifelong dependency without true healing; microdosing and natural methods, by contrast, trigger the body's innate healing capacity (10:25). Casey clarifies a common misconception: mushrooms and microdosing do not foster dependency but rather assist and unleash intrinsic self-healing mechanisms. Her own experience proves that the benefits persisted even after stopping microdosing (10:58). Global Healing: Similar Struggles, Shared Humanity Having worked with people in over 30 countries, Casey reflects on the surprising similarities in healing struggles across cultures (13:06). Despite local differences, fundamental issues are universal: a longing for connection, spirituality, and supportive communities. She describes the profound impact of helping individuals in places where discussing spirituality or mystical experiences remains taboo, illustrating how her work facilitates deeper cross-cultural healing. The Power of Intention and Mindset Intentional practice and mindset are highlighted as essential components of transformation, particularly when working with psychedelics. Casey explains that these substances act as “non-specific amplifiers,” magnifying what is already within a person (14:26). The medicine alone can help, but coupling it with community, guides, or therapists is far more effective. She stresses the importance of setting clear intentions and lifestyle practices to maximize the healing journey (15:33). Disconnection: The Root of Modern Struggles Casey identifies disconnection—from self, others, and the earth—as the underlying cause of many modern challenges (16:00). People are drawn to healing practices not always knowing why; for many, it's an unconscious desire to reconnect with their true self and purpose. She notes that media and societal forces often promote numbing and obedience, making disconnection easier and awakening harder (17:01). Reconnection, she says, is key to regaining creative, conscious agency in life (17:14). Content Creation and Community Building The episode also explores the vital role of independent media and content creation in uplifting and empowering individuals (18:03). Speaker A shares his journey creating his own internet radio station and his mission to focus on positive, meaningful talk content. Casey encourages listeners to intentionally build their own “algorithm”—curating what they consume and embodying conscious focus (18:38). Both speakers agree that independent platforms offer freedom from censorship and support authentic, optimistic narratives (20:09). Training the Next Generation of Facilitators Casey's professional training program for facilitators is discussed in depth. She describes the broad spectrum of people who have entered her training—clinicians, therapists, doctors, entrepreneurs, and regular people inspired by their own healing journey. The qualities of effective guides include openness, diverse backgrounds, and a commitment to support and serve their communities (21:17). Her cohorts span ages from twenties to seventies, underscoring the universal appeal of intentional healing work. Practical Steps: Starting the Healing Journey For listeners feeling stuck emotionally or spiritually, Casey's advice is practical and empowering. The first step is simply acknowledging that the status quo is no longer satisfactory—that awareness alone is transformative (23:01). Next, she recommends reconnecting with the body through daily practices like massage, yoga, nature walks, or whatever brings you closer to yourself. These physical anchors pave the way for deeper spiritual and energetic healing (23:37). She elaborates that cultivating consistent daily practices—meditation, microdosing, prayer, or walks—helps anchor individuals amidst social upheaval and rapid change. Even ten minutes a day, intentionally set aside, can make all the difference in building resilience and staying grounded (25:20). Lasting Transformation: Gentle Integration True transformation, Casey asserts, is not always flashy or instant, but rather incremental and lasting. Subtle, gentle shifts accrue over time and integrate into real-life relationships and choices. Often, a year or more passes before clients look back and see profound differences in how they handle adversity, relationships, and opportunities. They find themselves responding creatively, not reactively, to life's curveballs—a hallmark of authentic healing (26:33). Community: The Modern Village The importance of supportive community—virtual or local—is underscored throughout the episode. Speaker A recounts his upbringing in a tight-knit “village” and laments how that communal spirit has become rare. Both speakers celebrate that online platforms now make it possible to build global communities of like-minded individuals, empowering collective healing and creative growth (32:10). Casey shares a story about wildfire recovery in Northern California, where ordinary people—not authorities—stepped up to lead and support, illustrating the power of grassroots community action (37:09). Inspiration and Empowerment As the conversation wraps up, Speaker A reflects on his own journey: from pit boss in a casino to podcast host and media entrepreneur. He shares how stepping out of his comfort zone led to meaningful friendships, growth, and even helping his nephew publish several books after prison (36:10). Casey affirms that anyone, regardless of background, can take the first step—confidence builds through action, not mere contemplation (30:09). They discuss how seeing an ordinary person achieve something new ignites permission and empowerment in others. The episode closes with Casey's encouragement to pursue your dreams and Speaker A's call for listeners to embrace uplifting, meaningful content and healing alternatives. Connect with Casey Garrett Casey Garrett invites listeners to explore microdosing and healing at microdosingforhealing.com (40:42). She offers resources for beginners, online support, and community platforms. Her uniquely spelled name makes her easy to find across social media. Final Thoughts This episode is a powerful testament to personal transformation, the healing potential of natural medicines, and the importance of intentional practice and supportive community. It challenges listeners to question pharmaceutical dependency, embrace daily grounding exercises, and take the first step toward lasting change. Through candid stories, expert insights, and practical advice, Casey Garrett and Speaker A inspire anyone feeling stuck to embark on their own healing journey and become agents of positive, authentic change in the world.

In today's episode, Dr. Stucki sits down with financial experts Bob Spiel and Nate Williams, who push back on the idea that dental specialists should sell their practices to Dental Support Organizations (DSOs) or private equity groups. Using straightforward financial modeling, they question the belief that corporate buyers always offer the best payout, pointing out that long work-back commitments and illiquid equity can leave doctors with less overall value than a traditional private sale. They suggest that, in many cases, surgeons are essentially paying for their own buyouts with years of future work, while also giving up a significant amount of professional independence. By calling attention to the risks of share dilution and reduced control over day-to-day decisions, they encourage doctors to hold onto independent ownership of their most valuable assets. Overall, the episode serves as a practical warning about how Wall Street-driven incentives can affect both the financial health and clinical direction of the dental profession.Key Points From This Episode:We are introduced to our guests, Bob Spiel and Nate Williams.Debunking the goal and purpose of private equity (in the dentistry space). They look at the hypothesis that private equity-backed DSO groups pay more for practices than private doctors (an in-depth hypothetical scenario).Another hypothetical scenario: what it looks like when practices are sold to businessmen.Nate explains the 5-year work-back.He unpacks the rollover equity: minority non-marketable shares of an entity. In this episode, Duane Osterlind sits down with Dr. Rachel Docekal to discuss the shifting landscape of youth addiction and mental health. With over 40 years of history, the Hanley Foundation is moving beyond the "Just Say No" era into evidence-based prevention that addresses the root causes of use: isolation, digital addiction, and the mental health fallout of the post-COVID world.Key Takeaways The "Double Whammy" of COVID & Smartphones: Dr. Docekal highlights how the combination of pandemic isolation and the rise of social media "highlight reels" has created a surge in anxiety and depression among youth. The Shift in Treatment: For the first time, the Hanley Center has had to dedicate primary beds specifically to mental health (not just detox), reflecting a crisis where substances are often a secondary symptom of internal distress. The THC Trap: They discuss the alarming trend of high-potency marijuana causing psychiatric breaks in young people—and the frightening reality that for some, the cognitive changes may be permanent.Connection Over Correction: The core of the issue is often a loss of "true human connection." From families on phones at dinner to the addictive nature of algorithms, the "nemesis" in the pocket is often the biggest barrier to wellness.Innovative Prevention ProgramsThe Hanley Foundation is pioneering programs that treat students with dignity rather than just discipline.Program FocusReplacing "Zero Tolerance"Instead of suspension/expulsion, students caught using enter a series of counseling sessions that include their parents.Alcohol Literacy ChallengeDe-bunking MythsThis program uses science to show kids that the "positive" effects they expect from alcohol (confidence, better dancing) are actually psychological, not pharmacological.A Note for Parents: The Power of "Just Being"When asked for her #1 piece of advice for parents and educators, Dr. Docekal offered a grounding perspective:"You don't have to have the answer; you just have to have the presence. On this week's Gambling Mad with Norman Chad, we cover everything that makes America great — bad economic policy, flat Earth believers, and missed field goals. Norman takes aim at prediction market apps that somehow let people gamble on whether civilization will survive, breaks down why Trump's economy is as stable as a Jenga tower in an earthquake, and launches his “Just Say No to Starbucks” campaign (because paying $8 for foam is a moral failing). Plus, NFL picks and an existential debate about whether kickers are real athletes or just well-dressed goalposts.

In this episode of Addict to Athlete, host Coach Blu Robinson continues his powerful War on Drugs series with its fourth installment, taking listeners deep into one of the most controversial chapters of America's anti-drug efforts. Coach Blu examines the Reagan administration of the 1980s, the rise of the “Just Say No” campaign, and the overwhelming tidal wave of anti-drug commercials that saturated television screens across the nation. Through a critical lens, he unpacks how these campaigns—though well-intentioned—often missed the mark, leaving behind a legacy of fear-based messaging, stigmatization, and unintended consequences for the youth they were designed to protect. Coach Blu highlights the failures and shortcomings of these initiatives, revealing how simplistic slogans and scare tactics failed to address the deeper roots of addiction and substance use. In this episode of 'Gambling Mad with Norman Chad', Norman covers the big stories no one asked for. He begins with Olympic legend Katie Ledecky, who continues to swim faster than most of us drive. Then, it's onto his long-running personal mission: the Just Say No to Starbucks campaign — a years-long stand against overpriced espresso, faux Italian cup sizes, and the slow extinction of real American diners. Also in the mix: the Buddhist monk honey pot scandal, a tale of spiritual compromise, blackmail, and some deeply un-monk-like behavior. Norman also explores potential relocation sites for the U.S. Capitol (spoiler: none of them are good), and reflects on the closure of the Frito-Lay plant in Rancho Cucamonga — a dark day for snack lovers and artificial flavoring. It's news. It's nonsense. It's Gambling Mad.
Send us a textBack in the 1980s, everyone, and I mean everyone, was trying to spread one simple message: Drugs Are Bad! There were a ton of PSAs telling kids to leave narcotics alone. Celebrities said to stay clean, and networks invested in one off specials to keep kids from taking one toke over the line. Or any tokes for that matter. Here now is the nexus of these specials, a hybrid of PSAs, The Flintstone Kids, and a certain gloved singer who was high... on the charts at this time. Its The Flintstone Kids "Just Say No" special.Enjoy, and be sure to listen sober. Wink. Thanks for ‘tooning in. In this eye-opening episode of Dr. Marianne-Land, I'm joined by Anne Richardson, RD (@theeatingdisordernutritionist), to talk about the disturbing return of the super skinny ideal—and how this 90s-era body trend is resurfacing in modern media and pop culture. From TikTok to fashion runways, the thin ideal is back, fueling body dissatisfaction, disordered eating, and a dangerous normalization of extreme thinness. We dive into how the super skinny body standard is impacting people in eating disorder recovery, especially those healing from anorexia, bulimia, binge eating disorder, and ARFID. Anne brings her expertise as an eating disorder dietitian to unpack how fatphobia, anti-fat bias, and the glamorization of weight loss continue to harm people of all sizes—especially neurodivergent and marginalized folks. This conversation challenges the toxic messages of diet culture and body dysmorphia, while offering hope, clarity, and strategies for body image resilience. If you've noticed the wave of 90s nostalgia bringing back triggering beauty ideals, this episode is a must-listen.

This time around, we're joined by skeptic, comedian, and podcaster Michael Regilio!Full show notes and resources can be found here: jordanharbinger.com/1142On This Week's Skeptical Sunday:The modern war on cannabis has deeply racist roots, beginning with targeted efforts against Mexican immigrants in the early 20th century. Officials like Harry Anslinger, the first commissioner of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, pushed explicitly racist propaganda against cannabis users, helping transform what was once widely accepted medicine into a demonized drug.Cannabis prohibition was also driven by powerful business interests. Companies like DuPont (developing petroleum-based products like nylon and cellophane) saw hemp as a competitive threat, while William Randolph Hearst wanted to protect his paper mill investments. These business moguls leveraged political connections to criminalize cannabis despite scientific evidence of its relative safety. The Nixon administration weaponized cannabis laws against political opponents. Nixon's domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman later admitted: "We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin ... we could disrupt those communities. ... Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."Cannabis interacts with our bodies through the endocannabinoid system, a biological network that helps regulate mood, energy, balance, and appetite. Our bodies naturally produce cannabinoids, but plant-derived versions like THC are approximately a thousand times more powerful. Importantly, cannabis use during pregnancy or adolescence can be harmful to developing brains, with studies linking early use to depression, anxiety, and even psychosis. The good news? If you're over 25, moderate cannabis use appears relatively safe (unless you're predisposed to mental health issues). Today, cannabis legalization is creating positive social impacts through tax revenue funding education, environmental cleanup, and drug prevention programs, while simultaneously reducing spending on enforcement and incarceration — turning a historically problematic policy into community benefits.Connect with Jordan on Twitter, Instagram, and YouTube. We're diving into the New Teen Titans anti-drug PSAs from the height of Nancy Reagan's "Just Say No" crusade. The 80s were a great time for music, perhaps even the greatest. From innovations in technology, like synthesizers and drum machines to memorable hooks and big 80s production the 80s were next level iconic. The music of the 80s spread across so many genres and styles it pretty much gave everyone something great to listen to. If you were into pop, rock, hip hop, synth dance pop, alternative or just about anything the 80s had it right there waiting for you. This week, Dave and Rob take turns selecting a song from each year in the 80s for the other host. We'll see which one knows the other's musical tastes better and enjoy some of the best songs of the 80s along the way. This playlist, once completed, will serve as your reminder of how great and diverse the 80s really were. So crank up the nostalgia and those emotional memories of being a kid as we head back to the era of Reagan, big hair and Just Say No to put together an awesome playlist from the 1980s. The amazing people we talked to in the Ivoclar (https://www.ivoclar.com/en_us) Ballroom during the 40th anniversary of LMT Lab Day Chicago just keep coming and this week we have a stellar line up. First up is Eric Kukucka. Eric came on the podcast years ago to talk about his multiple denturist practices in Canada. But he has since sold them and has joined the Aspen Dental (https://www.aspendental.com/) group as their Vice President of Clinical Removable Prosthetics & Design Technologies. Eric talks about going from making dentures for hundreds of patients to working with a team to produce quality dentures for millions. Then we chat with Chelsea Homire, who has years of dental assistant experience, but when given the oppritunity to learn the in-office lab work, she took off. With a passion for printing, Chelsea is now teaching other offices (and even a few labs) how they can optimize their digital workflow. We wrap up the episode with Brittany Mitchell. You might know her becuase she designed (and made the denture) on our "Just Say No to Brushing" shirt, but she's also a talented removable technician. Brittany talks about starting in at the front desk, drawing a picture that got notices and placed in the lab, falling in love with it, and making digital dentures for a 12 doctor dental group. Don't miss this incredible webinar with Tanya Little, a dentist from beautiful Vancouver, Canada. We would like to invite you to a special webinar that she's hosting with Ivoclar (https://www.ivoclar.com/en_us) and LMT (https://lmtmag.com/) on Wednesday, May 7th, titled "Reflections from a Denturist: 20 Years of Crafting Dentures!". In this program, she will review the incredible history of removables with Ivoclar and focus on the new and exciting evolution based print resin and of course, the PM7. Her goal is to provide you with several key takeaways that will allow you to work smarter and not harder. You can join on May 7th by registering at https://lmtmag.com/webinars/reflections-from-a-denturist-20-years-of-crafting-dentures Are you a dental lab in need of more talent to improve your bottom line and keep production on schedule? Are you a dental tech with great skills but feel you're being limited at your current lab? Well, the answer is here and this is precisely why WIN WIN GO (https://www.winwingo.com/) was created. The dental lab and dental tech community needed a place where labs and technicians can meet, talk about their needs and connect in ways that foster a win win outcome. As a tech. If you're ready to make a change, thinking about moving in the next year or just curious what's out there, sign up today. It's totally free. As a lab, you might be feeling the frustration of paying the big employment site so much and getting so few tech candidates. We understand they don't much care about our industry. WINWINGO.com is simply the best place for lab techs and lab owners to actively engage in creating their ideal future. WINWINGO.com, how dental techs find paradise. Is it "clean eating" or low-key restriction? A self-care routine or just a new way to obsess over food? In this solo episode, I'm unpacking the sneaky ways disordered eating hides in wellness culture — from elimination diets to gut health trends and everything in between. If you've ever found yourself wondering, "Is this actually good for me, or am I just chasing control?" — this one's for you. We'll explore: ✨ How diet culture thrives in wellness spaces ✨ The subtle signs of disordered eating disguised as "health" ✨ What to do when wellness culture is doing more harm than good LISTEN TO OTHER EPISODES ON DIET CULTURE AND MORE! Diet culture isn't a one-size-fits-all experience—each generation has been shaped by different messaging, trends, and fears around food and bodies. In this episode, I'm breaking down how Gen X, Millennials, and Gen Z have been uniquely impacted by shifting diet culture narratives. From the low-fat craze and calorie counting of Gen X to Millennials' obsession with "clean eating" and wellness, and Gen Z's complicated relationship with body positivity and social media, we'll explore how these cultural shifts affect the way we think about food, movement, and self-worth. Why does this matter? Because understanding these generational influences can help us unlearn harmful patterns and move toward a more liberated relationship with our bodies. Let's get into it! . Was it sheer alcoholism or just adolescent rage? Comedian, podcaster, and memoirist Moshe Kasher (Subculture Vulture) poses this question to himself in a conversation with Luke about his own journey through the 12-steps, which began as a teenager during the Nancy Regan-fueled era of “Just Say No.” Now sober for basically three decades, Moshe reflects on the mantra “one day at a time,” his curiosity around psychedelics, and how addiction (not the substance) is the real enemy.
Fashion besties! This week, Holly Katz sits down with Jade Myers, owner of the fabulous sustainable online boutique Fashion Without Trashin. From her childhood at LA swap meets to building a thriving resale business, Jade shares how her passion for sustainability turned into a full-time mission to reduce fashion waste—while looking fabulous doing it! Join us for an inspiring conversation about how you can shop smarter, embrace secondhand fashion, and avoid the pitfalls of fast fashion. #PLEASE If you're ready to level up your style while saving the planet, this is the episode you can't miss! While you're at it, tune in to the video of this spectacular episode on YouTube! As always, please listen wherever you get your podcasts, or at https://apple.co/2XXKHfC. Key Talking Points: 1. Jade's Journey to Sustainability o Jade's early exposure to clothing resale at LA flea markets with her family laid the foundation for her passion for sustainable fashion. o Her first resale success at 14 taught her the power of secondhand fashion—and lit a spark for entrepreneurship. 2. The Problem with Fast Fashion: Why it's Everyone's Problem Now o Why fast fashion harms the planet: poor quality, overproduction, and endless waste. ENDLESS. Enough to go around the world like, over 5 times. o Shocking truths about donation centers: the majority of clothing doesn't get resold. Instead, it's bailed, burned, trashed, or shipped overseas, often creating additional environmental and social issues for other countries. 3. How to Build a Sustainable Wardrobe o Tips for smarter shopping: prioritize quality over quantity, look for natural materials, and explore small, local brands with cult followings like Cezanne or Doen for resale value. o Partner with local resellers to ensure your preloved items have the best chance at a second life. 4. The Thrill of the Hunt: Jade's Resale Secrets o Popular resale items: leather, wool coats, denim, and cult brands. o Why plus-size resale remains a challenge and how the resale industry is adapting. 5. The Harsh Truth About Donated Clothes • Many people believe donating clothes ensures they'll be reused, but the reality is far more complicated than that. Once it leaves your hands, you have no idea where it will end up, unless you resell directly to one person. • Jade shares insider knowledge from her experience working with donation centers like Goodwill: o Know this: a large portion of donated items never make it to the sales floor. In addition to being bailed and shipped out, items often end up in landfills. #SOBAD o Items in poor condition, such as stained or damaged clothing, are often discarded entirely and again, trashed. o Even well-made or high-end items may be undervalued or mispriced due to a lack of training among staff. #FACTS • Jade's HOT TIP: Instead of donating indiscriminately, connect with local resellers or organizations that are incentivized to repair, reuse, and resell items, giving them a much better chance at a second life. Why It Matters: Every piece of clothing has the potential to be reused—but only if it's handled thoughtfully. By being more intentional with where you donate, you can ensure your preloved items avoid becoming waste and find new homes with those who will truly cherish them. Listening and watching the video will help you understand the practical, empowering, and eye-opening insights on how to NOT contribute to the overconsumption crisis. Whether you're a thrift queen or just starting your journey to a more sustainable wardrobe, this episode will leave you inspired to shop smarter, make fewer wasteful purchases, and avoid the fast fashion trap. #yaassquueennn Subscribe to our YouTube channel here! Ladies and gentlemen, I have friends who lost sons and daughters to Fentanyl. The powerful and compelling film documentary, Fentanyl: Death Incorporated provides an in-depth exploration of the Fentanyl crisis, the most dangerous drug ever created, which has become the leading cause of death for Americans aged 18-45. Through interviews with international intelligence operatives, law enforcement officials, medical professionals, policymakers, and affected families, the film uncovers the unprecedented potency of Fentanyl, which is 100 times more powerful than morphine. It examines the swift escalation in overdose deaths—the fastest in U.S. history—and highlights the global and domestic supply chains contributing to the epidemic. The documentary also addresses the failures of current harm reduction strategies, the need for robust treatment solutions, and the profound impact on families and communities. Fentanyl: Death Incorporated is a crucial viewing experience that seeks to raise awareness and drive action against one of the most pressing public health crises of our time. When you see this film, you will see that America has the largest number of drug users, a lax court system and no system to encourage recovery or to protect our kids. Every parent should be able to see their kids grow up, but many are left with a granite headstone, a name and two dates, because we are losing a war that goes beyond, “Just Say No to Drugs”. #fentanyl #drugoverdose #drugaddiction #harmreduction #drugdeaths #immigration #cartels #china #mexico #canada #bordercrisis #homelessness #drugaddictionrecovery #opioidcrisis #opioids

Keith kicks things off with the realization that he's been celibate for half a year and asks Mike for his longest dry spell, opening up a deep dive into the strange, hilarious world of post-college dating before apps were even a thing. Spoiler: the secret to success back then apparently involved nothing short of flashy cars and questionable confidence. The conversation quickly veers into the psychological battlefield that is dating culture, as the duo debate why some guys lie their way to the top while others (including themselves) end up spinning their wheels. Keith reflects on his struggles breaking into conversations with strangers, while Mike philosophizes on the mysterious charm of "Riz" (after first learning what it is). In an unfiltered chat about awkward social dynamics, they wonder if being a charismatic introvert in your forties is more of a feature than a bug. Somewhere between debating candy-colored apps and chemical addictions, Keith admits to getting way too into Candy Crush, losing hours and, nearly, his dignity, to the game's addictive spell. Mike, ever the wise advisor, encourages him to uninstall but jokingly suggests that at least with cocaine there's more excitement (and arguably better stories). The two even suggest a government campaign against mobile game addiction, imagining a "Just Say No" to digital candy. Somewhere, Nancy Reagan is probably nodding along in spirit. It's my pleasure to host Nate and Bob from the "Just Say No to the DSO" Podcast. These guys have built a popular podcast platform that I've been hearing a lot of buzz about. They were kind enough to join me for an episode to talk all about DSOs. Nate and Bob discuss why they became so passionate about educating dentists on the harm of DSO buyouts. We also review and bust five common DSO myths. They discuss how pediatric dentists are targets for these deals, and what other options you might consider for the future of your practice.
