Antediluvian Revelations: A Poetic Retelling of The Book of Enoch, The Prophet, Season One
This is the sixth segment of the updated Summary Discussion for Part Two of this podcast reading of Antediluvian Revelations. The updated text in the 4th edition is much longer than the 3rd edition text, so it will be podcasted as multiple segments estimated to be at least a total of seven. The goal is to limit the recording length to 30 minutes or less. These segments are also uploaded as Videos with graphics as applicable on the Polyet Loshad Publishing YouTube channel. These updated episodes have audio enhancement with background music from non-copyrighted music tracks that do not require identification of the artists; however, I will give special recognition to the artists: TrackTribe, Freedom Trail Studio, and Mini Vandals.
Bjarke Ingels.
"Your Dead to Me" is a history/comedy mashup released by BBC Podcasts and The Athletic. Each week, the show's host, Greg Jenner, presents a historical topic discussed by himself and two guests. One guest is an authority on the subject matter, and the other is a comedian - adding humour and unexpected perspectives. This weeks R&R show is focused on a Podcast with a very clever format. The hosts, Hannah and Jenny (And a guest) take a randomly generated plot and expand it into a story that somebody might actually want to write.
Foto in copertina by Columbia GSAPP via Wikimedia Commons
Hi everyone! This week, I'm changing it up and presenting the first of my bonus episodes. These episodes give me a chance to highlight the work of a talented and interesting individual, who doesn't have a podcast. Yes! it's true, there are people who don't have a podcast of their own. Which is definitely a rarity nowadays. And in this show, I get to chat with a very gracious and talented young man from Detroit. Imari Reynolds is an actor, musician and Youtuber, with over 30 acting credits to his name. We have a fun chat about his life, his work and countdown his 10 most influential albums. This weeks review and recommend show is another audio drama, and it's also one of my favourites! 'The Bright sessions' is the story of Dr Joan Bright, a psychotherapist who deals with patients that have extraordinary supernatural abilities. Telekinesis, telepathy, time travel, pyrokinesis, etc…She provides therapy for the strange and Unusual, People that she calls ‘Atypicals'. If there is anything that can help you endure constant COVID lockdowns, this can! Enjoy! Darren. Joining me this week are the hosts of a very interesting podcast centred around language. In particular those everyday figurative sayings that permeate most cultures and that are used on a daily basis. Each week, Ethan and Marcello, the hosts of the ‘Idiots with Idioms' podcast, explore the history behind idioms from all over the globe. It is through their show, we discover how different and yet how similar the world's outlook on life can be. Listen in as we count down a top ten close to their heart, and take your shot at unraveling the sayings I throw at them in our game for this week. Enjoy! Darren. This week, it's one of my O.G. shows, and the show it also spawned. Take a listen to the episode to see what I mean. ‘Conspiracy unlimited' is a podcast that 3 times a week features stories on all things conspiratorial and paranormal. Monday, Wednesday and Friday you can listen to interviews dealing with subjects ranging from JFK to Bigfoot, angels to the Illuminati and UFOs to the current pandemic(And absolutely everything else in between). Its host, Richard Syrett, is a 20-year broadcasting veteran that presents an entertaining and polished show every single episode. Enjoy! Darren. This week I chat with Ellocin Daz, the amazing and multi-talented host of a podcast devoted to mental health issues. We talk about her show, 'Blue is Beautiful', and also touch on Ellocin's personal story with ADHD. I speak with Ellocin about her other talents in music and comedy, and we countdown her top 10 music videos of all time. I had a fantastic time getting to know more about Ellocin and her work, and it was a pleasure spending time with someone that has such a great outlook on life. Enjoy! Darren. This week I review and recommend an extremely funny and educational countdown podcast. Nick and Brandon are the hosts(Brandon is actually the official sidekick host) of the 10ish podcast. Each week, either Nick or Brandon propose a top ten(ish sometimes it's 5,12, etc..) list to countdown. The host not providing the countdown for the week then has to guess what, or who is on said list. To make it all that more difficult, the person guessing the list does it with no prior knowledge of what the topic is and does it in real-time. In that way, you also get to guess along with one of the boys and see how you fare on the countdown. Check it out and see how you do! Enjoy! Hi everyone! Join me this week as I chat with the amazing host of 'Hello, Hello World', Candyce Mollard. Each week, Candyce tells the stories of small business owners, notable residents and highlights local products and brand manufacturers. In the process, she also explores many issues that are common to communities from all around the globe, such as racism, climate change, and mental health. Candyce dives into her community and speaks with people who she feels have made a difference and have an important message to tell. We also countdown Candyce's fun top ten, get to know more about her life, and share our experiences as new podcasters. Enjoy! Darren. This week, the Review and Recommend shows spotlight is firmly fixed on the landscape of the paranormal, esoteric, and conspiratorial. 'The Higherside Chats' is one of my O.G podcasts and the home for all alternate theories about the world and dimensions we live in. Each week, Greg Carlwood presents a long-form interview show dedicated to the topics rarely mentioned in mainstream media. He is a superb host with a wealth of experience and has interviewed most of the luminaries in the world of the arcane and the mysterious. From Geomancy to Giants and from the Illuminati to the Electric Universe, if it's out there, then Greg has probably covered it. Strap in and... Enjoy! Darren. Finally! One of my most anticipated episodes to date(Well at least by me;-)) This week I get to laugh and chat with the hosts of 'Don't Tease The Animals'. A comedy podcast out of the Newsstand Studios in Rockefella Center, NYC. Each week, Pam and Sarah discuss a relatable topic and play a couple of games based on that topic. Sounds simple right? But these ladies make it a journey of mirth and mayhem, a journey you will sign up for each week. We get to hear about the origins of the show and a little bit about the two hosts' careers in theatre. We find out what they do with their spare time when they are not being fabulous on the show, and we also count down a very apt top 10. Come along for the ride and don't disembark until the end, as the ladies have a surprise performance for you as well. Enjoy! Darren. Shana Lee Hirsch investigates the Columbia River Basin of the past, the present and the sociotechnical imaginaries of the River in her new book. In this episode, we discuss emerging approaches to restoration and getting in right relationship with climate change. Last summer, UW Press published Hirsch's book: Anticipating Future Environments: Climate Change, Adaptive Restoration, and the Columbia River Basin. Shana is a Research Scientist in the Department of Human Centered Design and Engineering at UW. She has an interdisciplinary background in sustainability social science and water management and policy. Her work draws on participatory design methods and theories from science and technology studies. She is also Associate Director of the Pacific Marine Energy Center, where she brings collaborative methods for understanding innovation to power remote communities. The Basin ecosystem provides for us, and Shana gets into the details about a subset of people who really care about the Basin in return. She provides insights into the everyday of restoration, the tools people use, and the emergent tactics of coping and getting in right relationship with climate change – which in turn changes us and the science itself. Within the current system people are trying to help. People. Love. Salmon. The strength of the River restoration is really the strength of that relationship with the fish and their connection with everything else. The restoration effort combines that love, the human wherewithal and resilience through adaptation. Hirsch, S. L., & Long, J. (2020).
