Tina Forsyth works with visionaries and business leaders to align their business with their calling, and to help them hire and lead top performers to take their business to the next level. For over twenty years, she has worked with 6 and 7 figure business owners to shift them out of burnout so they can shine. Tina is a pioneer in the world of online business, having founded and built the organization that is home for the Certified OBM® Training. In the 12+ years since its inception, the Online Business Manager industry has become established as a key role on the team of fast-growing online based businesses. Through the International Association of Online Business Managers, she is an industry champion, connecting business owners with OBMs who can help them thrive.   Here's what we covered on the episode: What an OBM Is + What They Do  How Tina's team reached out about having her on the podcast to talk about hiring an OBM (Online Business Manager) and outsourcing  Tina shares that she originally trained to be a coach and got the opportunity to work with a big coach training organization, working on the back-end and managing their events — she discovered that's where she wanted to be  In 2003, Tina started working with various coaching organizations and companies working as an online business manager for them  The book Tina wrote titled, Becoming an Online Business Manager which sparked their OBM Association and their certified OBM training program       Tina describes an OBM as someone who specializes in working with businesses that are usually in the early 6 figure range and that have hit a limit of what they can keep doing on their own An OBM will step in to help these businesses by asking, what's the big picture of the business? What's the vision? What are the big goals of the company? And how are we going to get there? They lay out a plan to get people, systems, and resources in place so they can keep moving forward  Tina describes the different stages of business and the different support you might need, like from a VA early on in your discovery phase or an OBM if you are in the early 6 figure range and are clear on your offers but need help How to Outsource Work + Business Growth How an agency style business needs a different team and support than what a product based business needs  Tina shares the difference between hiring for a role vs hiring for results and says you need to look at your business through a lens to figure out what you really need When looking to outsource work, Tina says you should look at all your tasks and think about what you'd like to get off your plate, maybe there are tasks you don't enjoy, or tasks that aren't growth or delivery focused  Lisa stresses the importance of building your team around values instead of just hiring people for transactional purposes and gives an example on values that they talk about in their OBM community   When you're looking to hire be very clear in the job post about what you need, your values and that you're looking to hire someone that is aligned with the same values of who you are and what you do as a business and in the interview ask a question about how or why they feel aligned with your values and vision  The story of how Tina went from a control freak to a team leader and explains that for the first 10 years of her business she did everything herself, but when she changed her business model in 2008, she had to start building her team  A common concern Tina hears from people when it comes to letting go of work is, what if they do it wrong, or they don't do it as well as I do and her response to that is, that will be true as long as you keep how to do it in your head  The first layer of letting go is usually around the functional aspects of the work, and the other thing that comes with letting go is letting go of decision making, which Tina says is harder to do and shares a personal example from when she hired her first OBM  Tina shares what a mentor of hers said years ago which was, every new stage of growth means letting go of more; Tina says if you aren't willing to let go, you will get stuck somewhere   We get to decide want kind of growth we want, Tina says if you don't want to let go, that's fine but you have to make that decision for yourself and your business because it will look different than if you were to hire multiple people on your team and keep growing  Tina doesn't think it's about you having to know how to do all the technical things in your business but says you should have clear, documented processes because people on your team might leave at some point  On the online business management side of Tina's business, they offer an OBM certification training and then those certified become part of their OBM Association On the personal side of the business, Tina does a lot of work and coaching with people around leadership and does different trainings, to learn more about those check out her website    Tina says sometimes it's about giving yourself permission to be able to get the help you want or need so you can build the business you want  Connect with Tina on her website, Instagram, Facebook, or LinkedIn and check out Tina's interview script/guide freebie for when you're looking to hire   Links mentioned:   Certified OBM® Training   Tina's Book - Becoming an Online Business Manager    Tina's Website    Connect with Tina on Instagram    Connect with Tina on Facebook    Connect with Tina on LinkedIn    Tina's Interview Freebie Like what you heard?  Click here to subscribe + leave a review on iTunes. Tune in every week to coaching conversations that will give you strategies, tools and deep insights into how to create more freedom, impact and income in your business.  Pauses and silences have been left in this conversation purposefully; within high-performing coaching sessions, the magic is often in the silence! This week Tina invited co-founder Ryan and his Fiance Olesea to share the profound breakthrough that she had because of their love and support and to share about conscious relationships, heart power and a new way of speaking that changes everything in your relationships. We live in a world where we've come to expect everything to be easy, including our relationships. Many of us still believe that a relationship should only feel good, and when bad feelings come up, something has gone wrong. Making a subtle, yet powerful shift, from relating unconsciously from the mind (that which is false) to relating consciously from the heart (that which is true), is a simple concept that was created from this profound idea that our true nature is love.  In this episode you will hear:  How Ryan and Olesea discovered the power of conscious communication How Tina was able to revive her relationship with her husband How to be a better listener in your relationship How to avoid common relationship problems Bringing harmony into your being with meditation For more information on High-Performing Coach's latest workshops and events head to highperforming.coach/events

Most mornings—once the coffee is made and the dogs are fed and the chickens are let out into the garden and a pot of oats start slow cooking on the stove—I don my favorite cardigan—the one which never leaves my house but waits for me on the coat tree in the hall for just this moment—and then begin my day out on the deck, coffee mug warming my fingers, the smallest of fires warming my toes as I sit facing where the sun will eventually rise. At this same time in fall and winter the stars would still be shining in a dark sky, but the long days of summer get an early start and the sun's light in the east is already backlighting my favorite sycamore tree with such dazzling highlights and shadows on its thousands of leaves I think to myself, “My God, in a hundred years I could never fashion such a stunning display of architecture.” It's extremely humbling. In point of fact I find just about everything in nature extremely humbling. The sycamore. The inch round gold and red blossoms on the Tacoma Sunrise that lives at its feet. The perfume of sage that lingers in our black Lab's fur after he has brushed by it in his silent morning inspection of the garden. How hummingbirds barely larger than my pinky performing feats of aerial wonder that for them is as natural as breathing. Why birdsong can fill the morning with sound without ever seeming loud. How field mice, barely the size of cotton balls, have made their home in the gaps of the stone wall under the wisteria arbor and how every morning they gather directly beneath the bird feeders as they wait for the finches and wrens and sparrows to spill a few seeds and grains from their breakfast onto the gravel below. How a fox squirrel can run at full speed across a power line. How our beagles can sense a jogger who's still several blocks away. How the chickens suddenly break their morning silence with an excited two minute long cluck-fest announcing that it's egg laying time. How Tina can be even more beautiful when she gives me a sleepy hug and how amazing her hair smells when I kiss the top of her head. And all of this happens every day in my tiny corner of the world. I share them with you in the confident knowledge that such wondrous things are happening in every corner of the world, including yours. I'd call it all a beautiful theatrical production but it's not theater. It's real. Beautifully humblingly real. And I can't help but think if we all pulled ourselves away from our own theatrical fictions long enough to perceive the very real wonders happening all around us then we'd all start the day with a solid dose of truth and beauty and perspective and grateful humility. With the clock ever ticking in my ear a little truth and beauty and perspective and grateful humility is all I'm really looking for these days. I have this fanciful notion that if we all remembered to take our daily dose of simple wonders we'd each be changed by truth and beauty and perspective and grateful humility, and then the world would change too.I try to take my daily dose of wonder because it changes me. Because it humbles me. Because it helps me be the best version of myself. What changes and humbles you? What helps you be the best version of you? Whatever it is, do it. Wherever it is, find it. I'm fairly certain it's the most important thing you can do. Find a little truth and beauty and perspective and grateful humility, let it change you into your best self, and then let your best self get busy building yourself a beautiful life.

Her own journey is one of overcoming limiting beliefs, leaning on real estate systems to build up her business confidence, and even beating her worst fear in a huge way. By managing to evolve and continuing to reinvent herself, Tina has created a huge successful business.    She teaches us the lesson that the process of going from a new agent to a successful speaker and entrepreneur is all about the evolution that’s driven by massive personal growth and constantly working on our craft.    Tina is the owner of the Caul Group, a TEDx speaker and a coach and educator. Tina has been in the real estate business for the last 20 years and has sold over $550M in real estate sales in the last 5 years alone. She knows how to grow a profitable real estate business. Tina's passion is helping agents "Think Bigger" by letting go of their limiting beliefs.    We don’t go from brand new agent to a successful and impactful business leader without change and evolution. We need to become the people who can achieve those goals, and that means doing the work of shedding the thoughts and beliefs that don’t serve us, adopting mindsets that shape our goals.  Time Stamps    00:53 - The driving force behind Tina’s real estate journey and how she got started.   07:04 - Tina’s personal production of 94 transactions and how she does it.  15:11 - How Tina is helping agents think bigger and get rid of limiting beliefs.  21:38 - The power of scripts in building confidence in agents.  25:17 - What sets successful people apart from everyone else.  29:41 - How to plan for the future you want.  32:02  - How to find success on our own terms.   37:36 - Tina’s top 3 pieces of advice for kicking ass in business and in life.  Guest Info   Tina is the Owner of the Caul Group and a TEDx speaker. This week on MIA Radio, we interview Tina Minkowitz. Tina is an attorney and survivor of psychiatry who represented the World Network for Users and Survivors of Psychiatry in the drafting and negotiation of the United Nations’ Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities. Tina is a strong proponent for the abolition of all forced psychiatric interventions and played a major role in attaining a shift in international law in favor of such a ban. In this interview, we talk about how the United Nations came to support the abolition of forced psychiatric treatment and why Tina believes that abolition of forced treatment, not reform, is necessary. In this episode we discuss: How Tina came to be interested in the intersection of international human rights law, disability rights law, and the issue of forced psychiatric treatment Why Tina believes in the abolition, not reform, of forced psychiatric treatment That the threat of forced treatment against some psychiatric survivors can be traumatic to the entire survivor community The barriers to the abolition of forced treatment, including public perceptions of people labeled mentally ill and lack of awareness of non-coercive alternatives That advocacy is needed to eliminate the 72-hour hold, not just ECT, forced drugging, or outpatient commitment Why forced treatment constitutes physical violence That we don’t need to put in place alternatives to the current mental health system in order to demand an immediate stop to forced treatment How mental health policy should center what we now consider alternative practices, such as peer-run services, hearing voices groups, and in-home supports How the issue of forced treatment fits within the disability rights framework Tina’s current activities with the Center for the Human Rights of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry Relevant Links: The Center for the Human Rights of Users and Survivors of Psychiatry Campaign to Support CRPD Absolute Prohibition of Commitment and Forced Treatment CRPD Course Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities

What should you do if you feel like you have so many dreams that you don’t know which to pursue first? Do you give up on some of them? Do you try to do all of them at once? Today’s guest might give you some things to think about when it comes to those difficult questions. Tina C. Williams is an entrepreneur, author, attorney, and educator.  Her “day job” is running her company, TCecure LLC, which provides security, intelligence, and critical infrastructure protection services to clients. She is also a recently published author of a book of poetry titled L.I.F.E. (Living is for Eternity). As you can see, she’s pretty busy and has tons of dreams herself. Her perspective on dream chasing is one you’ll want to hear, on this episode. TWEET: Making different dreams happen while you can, on this episode of #ChasingDreams How did Tina’s book of poetry come about? Tina’s been writing her poetry for years and just now it’s all come together in a self-published tome that she says is a dream come true. L.I.F.E. is a passion project that she’s worked on for a very long time. In this conversation she shares her process with Aimee, how she decided to self-publish, and why she went that way when there were other options available. If one of your dreams is to publish a book, you can go about it in a number of ways, and Tina’s path can give you plenty of inspiration and ideas to pursue your dream of authorship. Carrying the weight of a number of areas of expertise. Looking at Tina’s resume and qualifications, you’d think that she is a person who doesn’t really know what she wants to do with her life. She’s a certified computer technician in a number of areas of specialty, a lawyer, an author, and an entrepreneurial business owner. Why did she pursue all of those areas? It’s partly because she’s a multi-faceted, multi-talented person. But she also chases her dreams, no matter what. She doesn’t allow herself to be limited by the things that many people would - too much to keep track of, not enough time… you know, the normal excuses. Hear how Tina has chased all of these dreams on this episode. TWEET: Running a business that others can depend on, on this episode of #ChasingDreams It’s scary to run your own business. Especially when employees are depending on you. Tina’s quick to point out that anyone wanting to start a business to support themselves is probably capable of doing it, but to take it the next level and begin hiring people is another thing altogether. She regularly feels the weight of the people within her business who depend on her and on her business to support them and their families. But she doesn’t shrink back from that responsibility. She loves that she can support others and make it possible for them to thrive, and she’s diligent to ensure that her business is organized and run in a way that enables it to be solid for their sake. Hear more of Tina’s insights into business and how she goes about running her company day to day, on this episode of Chasing Dreams. Her faith has guided her every step of the way. One thing you’ll know about Tina in a very short matter of time is that she’s unafraid to speak about her faith, one of the most important things in her life. She says that her Christian faith has enabled her to keep her bearings when thousands of things were coming at her and has supplied the grace she’s needed to carry the very heavy burdens that have been entrusted to her. She’s thankful for the wisdom and strength her faith provides every day. When you’re chasing your dreams, it’s important to have something bigger than you to hold onto, and Tina’s story is an example of why that is. You can hear more of Tina’s faith journey into authorship and the business world on this episode of Chasing Dreams. TWEET:  What do you do when you seem to have too many dreams?
