Fáilte ar ais chuig eagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo ar an 8ú lá de mí Aibreán, liomsa Lauren Ní Loingsigh. I 1994 tháinig figiúirí nua amach agus bhí na figiúirí go hiontach don eacnamaíocht I gcóir cúig bhliain. I 2005 tharla an tsochraid is mó ar an lá seo I 2000 bhliain sa Róimh. Bhí sé an tsochraid de Pope John Paul. I 1996 tháinig an nuacht amach nach mbeadh post ag 21 duine sa chomhairle contae de bharr nach raibh siad ag déanamh go leor airgid. Chaill seisear a bpost roimhe sin agus bhí 15 duine eile chun a bheith as post. I 2005 d'aontaigh na boird den Centenary Co-Operative Creamery agus an Co-Operative Creamery I nDurlas chun teacht le chéile chun méadú agus forbairt a dhéanamh. Sin Take That le Everything Changes – an t-amhrán is mó ar an lá seo I 1994. Ag lean ar aghaidh le nuacht cheoil ar an lá seo I 1994 tháinig an nuacht amach go bhfuair Kurt Cobain bás ina teach. Fuair leictreoir é ina teach cúpla lá tar éis a chuir sé lámh ina bhás féin. Mí roimhe bhí ródháileog drugaí aige nuair a bhí sé ar turas ag canadh. I 2001 tháinig Emma Bunton amach lena chéad singil What Took You So Long. Bhí sé seo a chéad amhrán a chuaigh chuig uimhir a haon. An leasainm a bhí uirthi ná Baby Spice agus bhí sí an ceathrú ball den bhanna cheoil a tháinig amach le hamhrán singil. Agus ar deireadh breithlá daoine cáiliúla ar an lá seo rugadh Vivienna Westwood sa Bhreatain I 1941 agus rugagh aisteoir Dean Norris I Meiriceá ar an lá seo I 1963 agus seo chuid de na rudaí a rinne sé. Beidh mé ar ais libh amárach le heagrán nua de Ar An Lá Seo. Welcome back to another edition of Ar An Lá Seo on the 8th of April, with me Lauren Ní Loingsigh 1994: New figures were published that painted the brightest picture of the economy for five years. 2005: The biggest funeral in the 2000 year history of the catholic church took place in Rome on this day against a backdrop of final, poignant insights into pope john pauls soul. 1996 - TWENTY-ONE temporary North Tipperary Council staff are to be laid off as the Council strives to make financial ends meet, six workers were laid off previously but another fifteen were to go.  2005 - THE boards of Centenary Co-operative Creamery and Thurles Co-operative Creamery unanimously voted to recommend proposals whereby both co-ops would merge to pursue further growth and development.  That was Take That with Everything Changes – the biggest song on this day in 1994. Onto music news on this day In 1994, Kurt Cobain's body was discovered by an electrician at his Seattle home, several days after the Nirvana frontman took his own life. Just one month earlier, the 27-year-old grunge icon had suffered a drug overdose while on tour in support of the band's third album In Utero. In 2001, ex-Spice Girl Emma Bunton's debut single “What Took You So Long” became her first and only solo No.1. The singer, dubbed “Baby Spice,” was the fourth member of the group to score a solo chart-topper. And finally celebrity birthdays on this day – Vivienne Westwood was born in England in 1941 and actor Dean Norris was born in America in 1963 this is some of the stuff he has done.

Just Passing Through Podcast

Send us a textEpisode 170You're born into a world you don't quite fit into. Aberdeen, Washington—blue-collar, gray skies, a town where dreams don't stretch much further than the sawmill. You're just a kid, quiet and sensitive, drawing pictures and listening to music. Then your parents split, and it shatters something inside you. You start to feel like you don't belong anywhere—not at home, not at school, not in your own skin. But then you hear music. The Beatles at first, then punk rock—loud, raw, unapologetic. It feels like someone has finally put words and sound to all the anger and pain boiling inside you. You pick up a guitar and teach yourself to play. It's not about being good; it's about feeling something, anything. You find a friend in Krist Novoselic, and together, you start a band. You call it Nirvana. For a while, it's simple. You're playing shows in dive bars, hauling your own gear, and living off scraps. It's dirty, exhausting, but real. You write songs about the things that gnaw at you—the hypocrisy of society, the weight of expectations, the deep ache you can't seem to escape. The words come easily because they're yours, ripped straight from your soul. Then comes Nevermind. You record it, not expecting much, and suddenly, the whole world is listening. “Smells Like Teen Spirit” blows up, and now everyone knows your name. They call you the voice of a generation, but you don't want to be anyone's voice. You don't even know how to speak for yourself half the time. The fame feels like a prison, the adoration suffocating. People want pieces of you—your music, your words, your pain—but you don't have enough of yourself to give. You find some escape in heroin. It numbs the physical pain—the chronic stomach issues no one can diagnose—but it also drowns out the noise in your head. You marry Courtney Love, and together, you burn bright and fast. She's as chaotic as you are, and you love her fiercely, even when the world tries to tear you both apart. When your daughter, Frances Bean, is born, you want to be better for her. But the darkness is always there, dragging you down.By the time In Utero comes out in 1993, you're exhausted. The album is raw and jagged, a deliberate rejection of the polished success of Nevermind. You want to tell the world, “This is who I am, not what you want me to be.” But the world doesn't listen. They keep asking for more, and you have nothing left to give.In the spring of 1994, you try to escape—to find peace, or maybe just silence. Rome, then Seattle. You write a note. You pick up a shotgun. And then, it's over. But you're still here, aren't you? In the music, in the words. Every time someone plays Nevermind or sings along to “All Apologies,” they're listening to you. And maybe, in some way, you've found what you were searching for all along: to be heard, to be understood, even if it's too late for you to hear it.Music:Smells Like Teen SpiritAll ApologiesSupport the showInsta@justpassingthroughpodcastContact:justpassingthroughpodcast@gmail.comArtwork @digitalnomadicart on Insta

Steve Albini was one of a kind. As a songwriter and musician in his bands Big Black, Rapeman and Shellac he made aggressive, uncompromising music with biting songs about the darkest side of the human experience. As an audio engineer he recorded pivotal albums for the likes of Nirvana, Pixies and PJ Harvey and worked with thousands of others covering every genre conceivable and changing the sound of modern music forever. He was a small business owner, a poker champion, a husband, a brother and a son. He was opinionated, sarcastic, hilarious and in recent years, self reflective. He died suddenly and unexpectedly at the far too young age of 61, while at work, doing a job that he often compared to a plumbers, a blue collar gig that required dedication, commitment and a tireless work ethic. It just so happened that Steve Albini's daily grind changed all of our lives. RIP Mr. Albini, you will be missed.    Recommended Listening   Shellac “To All Trains” https://open.spotify.com/album/09SFqMvmXLpfG62LjeSorU?si=CXxwC75RSYKgWbyIWB6EFQ   HHPP EP96: Nirvana VINYL CAGE MATCH “Bleach” vs “In Utero”  https://huntsmanhill.com/2019/04/09/ep96-nirvana-vinyl-cage-match-bleach-vs-in-utero/   HHPP EP147: The Jesus Lizard “Liar” https://huntsmanhill.com/2021/02/01/ep147-the-jesus-lizard-liar/   HHPP EP193: Big Black “Songs About Fucking”  https://huntsmanhill.com/2022/10/03/ep193-big-black-songs-about-fucking/   HHPP EP260: Mclusky “Mclusky Do Dallas” https://huntsmanhill.com/2024/03/17/ep260-mclusky-mclusky-do-dallas/   Albini on Parts Unknown  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDw22kt9yUY   Dogs 101 w/ Shellac  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WZWrVQTlonc   Albini at Roscoes  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HNuVg1LdF_o   manhuntsman “Copper Too” https://open.spotify.com/track/2rRi6MLDKl6pwqf6xaPdbs?si=8bab2bbf5a424daa   HHPP Spotify Tracks: Big Black “Kerosene” https://open.spotify.com/track/6tHZNpTqtOy64NMWqxMCjT?si=41a2691bab8642a8 Superchunk “Skips Steps 1 & 3 https://open.spotify.com/track/6028v7Uu22M78zzk7s9jSD?si=e0fb159790164402 Screeching Weasel “Celina” https://open.spotify.com/track/6Ul3yFXrrMOtMjaemrGM40?si=0e0b5902c4084405     Spotify Playlist:  https://open.spotify.com/user/1298220429/playlist/4gy1wWwypkoFS2lUztvZ44?si=waSq07DBQlq3x9G1_nK0pg   Contact us at:  huntsmanhillpodcast@gmail.com   huntsmanhill.com instagram.com/huntsmanhill https://twitter.com/HuntsmanHill   Our Music manhuntsman:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/7tFBWn0UFkdOEMf67TRD6W?si=vzllkbDwSEmfZFlj02GLRw Academy O.C:  https://academyoc.bandcamp.com/album/academy-o-c   Omertà 68:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/6dfiCa0qTlbPQUrqtIkStS?si=6SCjNtXbSO2xRBDuBKJelQ Mid City Three:  https://open.spotify.com/artist/2LW7wWSHd9bi3n3Q5N8i35?si=aVFU0HdnRzqI1UOTAfc-ig

Two days afterwards, Sion James committed to Duke. Just ignore those parts of the podcast. Be super attentive to everything else, though. Our old friend Conor O'Neill stopped by to give us his thoughts on Wake Forest and Duke as the programs head into 2024. Conor covers both programs for Rivals. He's got a good thing going over at Devils Illustrated - sign up, folks! Before talking football, we took a few minutes to discuss the legacy of one of the greatest recording engineers (also known as a record producer) in music history, Steve Albini, who, sadly, passed away recently. He was a member of influential industrial rock bands like Big Black and Shellac. Albini's career as prominent independent musician gave him an opportunity to start recording for other bands and he made the most of it. During his legendary career, Albini worked with a wide variety of bands including the Pixies, Nirvana, The Breeders, The Jesus Lizard, PJ Harvey and Man or Astro-man?. The story behind the initial recording of Nirvana's In Utero is worth the time to read about. I enjoyed Albini's sound as a young kid living in a fairly boring town. RIP, man. RIP. After discussing what the Deacs can expect, we spend some time talking the Duke QB battle and how we shouldn't overlook what Grayson Loftis might be able to do if he gets a shot. While we're both high on Maalik Murphy, it's hard not to think that Loftis might be able to make a name for himself in Durham. Oh, and Murphy has a canon for an arm and will showcase it as the Blue Devils will run a variation of the Air Raid. All right, all right, all right! Conor and I also discuss the portal, NIL and how the NCAA needs to let schools employ athletes. And we get into a little basketball, too! This is another good talk with a guy who is close to the program. I know you'll enjoy it. Please call the pod (540-632-0160), leave a message and you'll get in an episode. Let me know what you think about what we think in the comments, on Mastodon, on Reddit, on Post, on Instagram, Spoutible, Bluesky or on Twitter. Stone Temple Pilots, often abbreviated as STP, burst onto the rock scene in the early 1990's, becoming one of the most commercially successful bands of that era.  Their debut album, Core, was released in late September 1992, and we're highlighting it in January 1993 when many of their hits were on the charts. The DeLeo brothers form the heart of the band:  Dean DeLeo's guitar work provides the sonic foundation, and Robert DeLeo's bass playing adds a groove to the band's sound.  Eric Kretz anchors the rhythm section on percussion.  And front man Scott Weiland completes the lineup with his charismatic presence and distinctive vocal style.  Weiland's emotion and raw energy helped make "Core" a pivotal release in the grunge movement."Core" hit he airwaves with a sonic explosion, with an energy that captured the angst and spirit of the early 90's grunge movement.  Several tracks from this album would become anthems of the 90's generation, led by tracks like "Plush" and "Sex Type Thing."  Despite its commercial success (reaching number 3 on the Billboard 200), "Core" was initially met with poor critical reviews, with many critics considering it too derivative of other grunge artists like Nirvana and Pearl Jam.  Over time, however, "Core" would receive more positive reviews as it took its place as a seminal release of the grunge movement.Lynch takes us on this journey back to 1993, when the Stone Temple Pilots were introducing themselves to the world. CreepThis song is a slower, more introspective track that highlights the band's grunge influences.  The lyrics deal with feelings of isolation and alienation, with Weiland delivering a haunting vocal performance.  The acoustic arrangement is a nice contrast to the heavier tracks of the album.Sex Type ThingThe opening track to the album features an aggressive guitar riff and a powerful vocal performance from Weiland.  It was controversial due to its lyrical content, which is written from the perspective of a rapist.  Despite the controversy (or perhaps because of it) “Sex Type Thing” became one of STP's most recognized songs.PlushThis track is arguably the most famous song from the album.  “Plush” showcases STP's softer side with its acoustic guitar intro and catchy chorus.  Weiland's lyrics were inspired by a news story about a woman who was found dead in San Diego, adding a layer of mystery and intrigue to the song.  The video for "Plush" won the band an MTV Video Music Award for Best New Artist and features the band playing in various desert scenes.Wicked GardenA hard-hitting rock track known for its gritty guitar riff and energetic chorus, this may be considered a deeper cut.  The song deals with the loss of innocence and the darker side of human nature, themes that recur throughout the album.  Over time “Wicked Garden” has become a fan favorite and a staple of STP's live shows. ENTERTAINMENT TRACK:Main theme to Star Trek:  Deep Space NineThe third entry into the Star Trek franchise takes place on a fixed space station near the border of the Federation.  It had its debut in January of 1993. STAFF PICKS:Love Is On the Way by Saigon KickBruce leads off the staff picks with a one hit wonder.  Miami-based Saigon Kick released this single from their second album, "The Lizard," and it went to number 12 on the Billboard Hot 100.  Jason Bieler provides guitar, keyboards, and backing vocals for the band, and wrote this song.  Lead vocals are provided by Matt Kramer.  Additional band members were Tom DeFile on bass and Phil Varone on percussion. Regret by New OrderRob brings us the lead song from New Order's sixth studio album, "Republic."  The single went to number 28 on the Billboard Hot 100. New Order formed from the remnants of the band Joy Division.  The album was made in order to save the Hacienda - a Manchester club part owned by the band.  Teen Angst (What the World Needs Now) by CrackerWayne's staff pick is from Cracker's debut album, and features catchy, clever, ironic songs.  The lyrics take a swipe at late 80's and early 90's folk rock songs.  Interestingly, the lyrics do not include the words "Teen Angst."  The track got airplay on alternative radio stations, and went to number 1 on the new Billboard "Modern Rock" chart. All Apologies by NirvanaLynch closes out the staff picks with one of Nirvana's most poignant and introspective works from their third and final studio album "In Utero."  Songwriter and front man Kurt Cobain describes the song as a tribute to his wife and daughter, but it took on significance as a farewell note of sorts after Cobain's death. COMEDY TRACK:Bedrock Anthem by "Weird Al" YankovicWeird Al channels a couple of well-known songs from the Red Hot Chili Peppers for this prehistoric parody. Bandsplain's Yasi Salek joins DJ Louie to trace Nirvana's brief, iconoclastic trail through pop's mainstream in the early 1990s. Louie and Yasi unpack the group's origins in Aberdeen, Washington, their time on famed indie label Sub Pop, known for popularizing the "grunge" sound, and their bleak, sparse debut in 1989, Bleach, which garnered them a cult following. Next, they tackle Nirvana's breakthrough smash, the generational anthem “Smells Like Teen Spirit”, and 1991's unexpected blockbuster Nevermind, which briefly remolded the pop charts in their image and became one of the biggest albums of all time. They then discuss Kurt's infamous marriage to Hole front woman Courtney Love, prickly relationship to his own fame and success and how his heroin addiction spun out of control during the promo cycle for 1993's darker and grittier In Utero. Finally, Louie and Yasi detail Kurt's tragic death by suicide in 1994, encasing the group in amber and forever giving their legacy a grand tragic air, before ranking Nirvana in the official Pop Pantheon. Listen to Pop Pantheon's Nirvana Essentials Playlist on SpotifyJoin Pop Pantheon: All Access, Our Patreon Channel, for Exclusive Content and MoreShop Merch in Pop Pantheon's StoreCome to Pop Pantheon Live: Tortured Poets & The State of Taylor Mania on 4/22 at the Bellhouse in BrooklynBuy Tickets to Pop Pantheon Presents: Taylor Mania at Parkside Lounge on 4/19Come to Gorgeous Gorgeous LA on 4/20 at Los GlobosCome to Gorgeous Gorgeous NYC on 5/10 at Sultan RoomFollow Yasi Salek on TwitterFollow DJ Louie XIV on InstagramFollow DJ Louie XIV on TwitterFollow Pop Pantheon on InstagramFollow Pop Pantheon on Twitter

Polly Jean Harvey—better known as PJ Harvey—is without question one of the most gifted songwriters of our time. Her debut album, Dry, came out in 1993 and was what the LA Times called a near “instant classic.” The same with her sophomore release, Rid of Me—which became an inspiration for Nirvana's last album: In Utero. Ten albums later and Polly continues to be not only a remarkable songwriter on her new album “I Inside the Old Year Dying” but...maybe more impressively...continues to find new musical territory and new voices to write from. Keeping her songs and artistry as interesting as it was when she first put music out 30 years ago. John Parish, who's been a frequent collaborator of Polly's since the 1980's produced the new album—along with Flood—and joins Justin Richmond in conversation with Polly to discuss their process of working together, the beauty of Polly's last few albums and how they bonded long ago over Captain Beefheart.See omnystudio.com/listener for privacy information.

"If Nevermind was a peek into Kurt (Cobain)'s psychological/emotional world, then In Utero was a wide-open window.” This comes from today's episode with author Michael Azerrad (Our Band Could Be Your Life: Scenes from the American Indie Underground, 1981-1991), who definitively knew better than most. Having extensive access to Nirvana between those two albums, Michael documented their rise for the best-selling 1993 biography Come As You Are: The Story of Nirvana, released just weeks before In Utero. Michael remembers today that Kurt's instructions to him in originally penning the book were fairly simple: "Just tell the truth. That will be better than anything else that's been written about me." And as In Utero recently got its own deluxe reissue to celebrate its three decades of influence, Michael's book has gotten a similar update: The Amplified Come As You Are is a heavily-annotated and must-own look back on the most examined band of the 90's. With thirty years of hindsight, Michael clarifies, expounds upon and extends the original story, making it a needed compendium to Nirvana's discography. Aloha! Greg reaches us from Hawaii with another blast from the past, reminiscing about the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's In Utero. The band's return to a pre-Nevermind grunge, under the direction of Steve Albini, marked the band's last release before singer Kurt Cobain death. We listen to a newly released live clip, as well as some remastered demos/b-sides from the session.Songs:Nirvana - “Sappy (2023 Remaster)”Nirvana - “I Hate Myself And Want To Die (2023 Remaster)”Nirvana - “School (Live In Los Angeles, Great Western Forum - December 30, 1993)”With the re-release of their 1984 concert film Stop Making Sense, Jay has been thinking a lot about The Talking Heads. Formed in New York City in 1975, the band helped pioneer New Wave music. Jay has especially come to love their 1980 album Remain In Light, the last produced by Brian Eno.Songs:The Talking Heads - “Crosseyed and Painless - 2005 Remaster”The Talking Heads - “Girlfriend is Better (Live) - 2023 Remaster”The Talking Heads - “(Nothing But) Flowers - 2005 Remaster”Friend of the show Erik Lenhart suggested our final segment this week, in an SMS to Nick over the weekend. “I'll be curious if you guys mention the new Beatles song in the podcast?” Erik sent with Siri. “New Beatles song, you say?” Nick replied. “Oh, AI assisted to boot! Thank you sir, I'll be sure to talk about this.”Song: Beatles - “Now and Then”

He introduces the topics for the day, including discussions about podcasters, Kurt Cobain, solving the homeless crisis, and various other subjects that are intended for a broad audience, including families. Rodney Smith begins by talking about the challenges he faces due to restrictions imposed by tech companies on the internet. He discusses how the internet used to be a more relaxed and free space, contrasting it with the current situation where he feels constrained by rules and regulations. He shares anecdotes about his experiences with his cat and neighbors, highlighting the humorous and chaotic aspects of daily life. The discussion then shifts to Kurt Cobain, the lead singer of Nirvana, on the 30th anniversary of their album "In Utero." He imagines Kurt Cobain participating in contemporary activities such as TikTok and reality TV shows, offering a different perspective on the iconic musician. The episode continues with Rodney discussing his views on the homeless crisis and proposing a controversial solution. He suggests taking homeless individuals to Mexico, unloading them, and having them walk back across the border as migrants, ensuring they receive support similar to migrants. Rodney's proposal is laced with satire and irony, reflecting his unique and unconventional style. Throughout the episode, Rodney maintains his humorous and irreverent tone, poking fun at various topics and expressing his unfiltered opinions. Welcome welcome everybody to Dangerous Misinformation, the number one source in the whole entire world and on the worldwide web for Dangerous Misinformation. I'm your host. My name is Rodney Smith, that is the name that was given to me at birth, but I could identify something else but I'm not gonna do that so thank you for tuning in please be sure to leave a rating please be sure to leave a review go check out my book The Petty Principles Volume One on Amazon and I know volume 2 is taking a little bit and I've been talking about' it for a minute, but it's common. It's you know. It's it's the the sophomore album dude, the sophomore album is just this more pressure, you know. The first one actually the whole intro in the second book is talking about how the first one was just supposed to be a big joke and it did way better than I was expecting it to and people actually bought it, you know, it's not, like I got rich off it' by any meat, but um I didn't think anybody was ever gonna read it but  3 00:01:25,280 --> 00:01:25,840 it is what it  4 00:01:25,840 --> 00:01:43,660 is dude I build and thou shall come, I guess so if this is your first time tuning in welcome, greeting you with open pasty deutch arms this is the only podcast in the world where we love everybody we make fun of everything everybody's welcome and we're just gonna have a big old jolly time  5 00:01:43,880 --> 00:01:44,680 okay,  6 00:01:44,960 --> 00:02:18,180 appreciate you tuning in let's dive into it I feel like I keep having to up my game and when I say up my game is not just trying to write better material or do better production quality or you know, yeah, I just have better jokes and stuff like that I have to swerve the rules of the tech companies and that is the hardest part about my dueb right now is that I have to find ways to get around the bullshit barriers that they put in place because you can't have any fun on the goddamn Internet anymore. It's kind of like this okay  7 00:02:18,880 --> 00:02:19,080 well,  8 00:02:19,080 --> 00:02:42,940 so here's a little background every time I've talked' about this before and I don't like complaining about it okay, I like just recognizing a problem, finding a solution and plown forward but it doesn't matter what I Well no it's I know I'm a little rough around the edges but I should be allowed to be a little rough around the edges that's my whole argument like I know I'm fucked up but I should be allowed to be fucked up right? Be more. Tolerant tolerate me  9 00:02:43,880 --> 00:02:44,680 so  10 00:02:44,760 --> 00:03:43,680 I every time I put a video that gets a little traction every time I put up a video against more than like 10, 000 place it gets nuked and they typically don't give me a reason, so that's why I think I'm on the FBI watch list or something like that they're just like, nope, we can't let this guy blow up we know it's bound to happen, but we can't do it' we ought to try to hold them back, but we can't make it obvious. So if you want to fight the lizard people tell somebody about the power cast and be sure to leave our rating because that is how you fight the machines. It's how you fight the lizards by spreading this dangerous misinformation. But um yeah, I just don't. I don't. Understand, I look at it like this remember back in the 70s and 80s? Well not remember. Well, I don't know. Maybe you are that old I wasn't around I was born in 89, but uh you would see well even in the nineties growing up I mean shit was just way more relaxed I remember my dad, he had a 4 runner and my sister and I would just ride in the back where there was no seats and we would just like play monkey bars on the roll cage bar you know,  11 00:03:43,680 --> 00:04:25,340 and we'd like go to the store with my dad to buy beer and he's. Probably shit faced at the time it just was. That's just how' the world was. You know, and a lot of people got hurt so the idiots there wouldn't be rules in place to prevent the idiots from getting hurt so then the idiots would get hurt back in the seventies and eighties and nineties I guess, and that put in place a bunch of guard rails right and then what happened then the Internet came around and the Internet was just a wild Wild West where you could do whatever the fuck you wanted right the good old days and then all the idiots started getting their feelings hurt the same way the idiots were getting physically hurt in the 670s and 80s and probably way before that too yeah obviously cause there's nothing protecting them  12 00:04:27,640 --> 00:04:28,280 excuse me  13 00:04:28,280 --> 00:04:55,400 and now we have all these guard rails on the Internet. You can't say certain things like I got a video nuked that had like 180, 000 plays and all I talked about is how I think that they should bring back lockdowns, got my cats mounting it so they should bring back lockdowns because it keeps all that they thems inside one second I let the kitty one 2 one 2 all right. You're stuck in here now kitty I had to jump off for a second and go let my fucking cat in at the door  14 00:04:55,400 --> 00:04:56,540 because she is.  15 00:04:56,880 --> 00:05:56,040 She is a. They call it like a. Tortoise something she's just like black and black and orange type cat and they say they call it tortitude and she literally has I mean, she's actually a human. I feel like I can telepathically communicate with her but she just doesn't listen very well. I remember, so wouldn't my ex and I were together she had a cat named to Luce and he was just a bad. He was just a bad boy and I left this cat to death and I will call him so his name's to Luce and' I'll call him to Lucifer because he was just such a bad cat and he could not stay inside. There was just no wave keeping this kitty inside some cats just have to be outside some some species just need to roam and here's one of those boys he had to be outside and he had to roam and go get his fucking scratching and murdering on. I'm earlier walking the property before we were moving in and there was a bunch of uh  16 00:05:56,040 --> 00:06:55,320 they took pride and how it was in this like not a marshland but this woodsy area. I guess this complex with this town home they're all these squirrels and shit running around and I said, yeah, there's a lot of wildlife running around and then now I'm her my ass looked at me she's like not for long cause we knew the cat was just gonna come in there and just murder everything which he did one time I saw him snag a bird out of the sky dude he snacked. I was letting him inside and then a bird came by the front door just like this little cute bird and he jumped like 5ft in the air and pulled the bird out of the sky. Here's a wild boy, but um we had this, neighbor we had this neighbor who was missing a leg. She had an amputated leg and she had this little just like Chihuahua, you know one of those little yappias dogs, one of those little little things that are no bigger than a fucking coffee mug with legs on him you know. Just and so our cat she would open her door to let her dog out and then our cat where she's  17 00:06:55,320 --> 00:06:56,120 back  18 00:06:56,880 --> 00:06:59,700 attack this piece of shit little dog  19 00:07:01,080 --> 00:07:01,880 and then  20 00:07:02,720 --> 00:07:07,300 you would run in her house and scratch her couch  21 00:07:10,200 --> 00:07:12,660 and attack her prosthetic leg.  22 00:07:12,880 --> 00:07:14,700 And so then one day  23 00:07:17,800 --> 00:07:19,180 and so one day  24 00:07:19,280 --> 00:07:29,700 she just came knocking on the door fucking heated and she's like, is this your cat? I'm like, yes, this is this is our little to Lucifer  25 00:07:31,520 --> 00:07:32,520 and uh,  26 00:07:32,520 --> 00:07:33,320 she's like  27 00:07:33,760 --> 00:07:36,980 well, he comes in my house and he attacks my leg  28 00:07:37,640 --> 00:07:39,760 when he looked down she's got a prosthetic leg  29 00:07:39,760 --> 00:07:40,840 she's like, hey  30 00:07:40,840 --> 00:07:45,820 he scratches my furniture and tries to kill my dog I'm like well,  31 00:07:46,000 --> 00:07:49,760 I don't know what to tell you bitch. Keep your fucking door closed and that.  32 00:07:49,760 --> 00:07:59,820 Was this other lady, this Russian chick, this younger, kinda hot Russian lady came and knocked on my door one day and I went oh oh answered the door its wet pants.  33 00:07:59,920 --> 00:08:05,280 She's like hello is this? Your cat is the great cat yours and I'm like yeah  34 00:08:05,280 --> 00:08:07,660 yeah, the great cats ours. It's mine  35 00:08:07,880 --> 00:08:16,660 and she's like he' likes to come. My son lets him in my house and he misbehaves he jumps on the counter and eats food and scratches the couch  36 00:08:17,280 --> 00:08:58,100 and I just kind of looked at her like wait but you let him inside and she said yeah my son really likes him and lets him inside but then he misbehaves and so I was like, lady, how about you tell your kid not to let my fucking cat in your house and you won't have a problem cause I don't know what you expect me to do I don't know if you expect me to sit this cat down and have a reasonable conversation with Talusifer and tell him, hey, bro, when you go into this Russian lady's house when her son lets you in bruh don't be jumping on' counters and eating all the food and scratching up her Russian couch it probably has plastic on it  37 00:08:58,120 --> 00:08:59,160 don't be doing that  38 00:08:59,160 --> 00:09:11,680 don't be going over to leggy's house and scratching her prosthetic and fucking doing god knows what trying to murder her dog anyways.  39 00:09:12,640 --> 00:09:13,440 Yeah,  40 00:09:13,440 --> 00:09:32,260 I've wondering with this outfit every time I' get ready for this podcast now because it's honestly the most entertaining thing in the world for me is when people rip on me on the Internet like this one guy, what did you say earlier I was fucking dying? What did he say? I look like  41 00:09:34,800 --> 00:09:36,140 one second,  42 00:09:36,600 --> 00:09:51,900 he said you look like an inbred peasant that would be cast as extra in a medieval period piece and bought your followers because nobody's listening to this dog shit and um  43 00:09:52,120 --> 00:09:52,480 yeah,  44 00:09:52,480 --> 00:10:29,420 that's awesome and then' somebody else somebody else told me the other day the reason I bring this up. They're like, oh, they' just give anybody a podcast now huh? They just give anybody a podcast and it's always' these weird like super liberal people with pronouns and they're buying shit like that' and let me break it to you. I hate to break it to you, but here's the harsh reality nobody just gives you a podcast. Okay nobody just shows up and says oh bro here's a podcast. You actually have to work and build it and do it yourself and come up with an idea you basically nobody just hands it to you and so a lot of you zay them he she her hers burrs burrs whatever  45 00:10:29,840 --> 00:10:30,600 whatever the  46 00:10:30,600 --> 00:10:46,140 fricket is you call yourselves nobody's just gonna hand you a podcast so I don't know when you're talking about they okay, so when they're going around handing out podcast nobody's just handing out podcast. All of this I had to build with my own pasty 2 thumbs and fingers.  47 00:10:48,720 --> 00:11:23,300 You know y'all I guess it maybe maybe for an attractive girl maybe for an attractive girl somebody would come around and say hey bitch I got a camera and you're funny so you' should do a podcast because you play life on easy mode, but yeah, shut out. Chicks play life on easy mode until they hit a certain age, you know, and then it's but I think it's the same thing for guys I mean if guys if you're just a giant fucking loser when your 40, your life sucks too. So if you're just a raggedy ass bitch that didn't lock a guy down' by the time your 40 your life sucks too.  48 00:11:24,520 --> 00:11:25,580 So you know  49 00:11:26,000 --> 00:11:44,140 speaking of life sucking okay so it is the 30th anniversary of In Utero, which is the second sophomore Nirvana album or not technically the sophomore album but the second major label album in Utero, my personal favorite Nirvana album  50 00:11:44,640 --> 00:11:46,600 but a lot of people.  51 00:11:46,600 --> 00:12:45,100 So I get like at least once or twice a year I go ever since since I've been fucking 15 at least once a year I go into a Nirvana rabbit hole right and so with the album coming out I wanted to listen to the new mixes and all that shit and so I went back down the YouTube rabbit hole even though I've probably already seen everything but I. Don't know, you always still learn just a little bit so as far as Kurt Cobain goes. I feel like a lot of people like to speak for Kurt Cobain like they knew him they have this idea of the guy which is a certain thing which we all do kind of this dark persona, but here's what I think all right everybody who says oh Kurt Cobain would be rolling in his grave when I listen to old Kurt Cobain interviews and I love Kurt Cobain. He's my favorite musician ever but he kind of just sounds like a child that didn't want to eat his peas, which some of we all were that for a long time in our lives right I think if Kurt was around nowadays he would be  52 00:12:45,240 --> 00:13:04,480 really into TikTok. I think he would be a judge on The Voice and um you know, I think he'd be collaborating with like hologram Michael Jackson and doing god knows what and doing EDM covers of Nirvana songs I think he would have really broke through that hole like uh,  53 00:13:04,480 --> 00:13:11,600 I hate everything uh, crunch rock uh meet Me out of me I think he would have  54 00:13:11,600 --> 00:14:11,160 broken out of that and you know maybe he would even he would have even joined the WWF or something like that you know, but I think it's very ignorant I think it's very ignite' for people to speak on on Big Kurt dude, he probably be doing Gucci ads he probably be doing Gucci ads right now Kirk Obame would be doing Gucci ads right now if you were alive he'd be an old swagged out man with a bunch of money and realized oh yeah, remember back when I was a grud he'd probably be embarrassed of being this fucking grunge rocker he probably have fucking leopards and a huge ass mansion which he already did he had a huge ass mansion and I don't know whatever it did. I should probably just shut the fuck up speaking on a dead man, you know what I think we should have I think we should have a national shut the fuck up day there should be a day where we all just take a vow where we shut the fuck up and we don't talk about dumb shit. We don't say our opinions we just let the world roll we don't chime in  55 00:14:11,160 --> 00:14:35,780 say anything ignorant or anything opinionated like we just don't voice our opinions for a whole day' and I would like to see what the repercussion would be or just the effect on the world because I believe it'd be a positive one if we all just shut the fuck up for 24 hours kind of how they do like gas strikes and shit like that I think the world would instantly overnight become a better place and I've take full credit for that idea  56 00:14:38,720 --> 00:14:46,580 anyways. I let's wind things down here one last thought I want to leave y'all with one last thought on this beautiful Monday. I want to leave y'all with  57 00:14:46,920 --> 00:14:48,020 is that  58 00:14:49,200 --> 00:15:00,840 the homeless crisis and I keep weighing in on the homeless crisis, but I think I finally came up with you know, I already said we could go start a war with the homeless people and that way by and would give them money but I have a more  59 00:15:00,840 --> 00:15:01,600 civil  60 00:15:01,600 --> 00:15:57,640 solution and that is, we gather a bunch of homeless people, we put them on buses and we go down to Mexico and then once we get to Mexico we unload all the crackheads and then we just March them north we send them on foot over the border so the Bordered Patrol brings them in and then they grab all these like homeless veterans and shit like that like oh well, you're migrants now so now we're going to give you money, cell phone place to stay and you know, act like whatever it is and that's how' we saw off the homeless crisis, so it's either we take them to go start' a war so buy it and we'll give them a bunch of money and yeah, fund everything that they need like if they need some bombs or something or we sneak him across the border so they get the same treatment as migrants. I know dude I know I know I'm a genius. You guys don't have to tell me because I want to stay humble.  61 00:15:57,640 --> 00:15:58,720 Stay humble.  62 00:15:58,720 --> 00:16:30,260 Don't let the positive things make your head big and don't' let the negative things bring you down this has been dangerous misinformation. It is Monday you made it through the day or you're about to make it through the day whenever you're listening to this I appreciate you. Let me spend the day with you. Very special times. We will look back on these times fondly together please tell somebody else to join us. Let's grow this family. Thank you so much for tuning in this has been dangerous misinformation. I'm your host Rodney Smith. Love you very much and fuck all of y'all  63 00:16:30,360 --> 00:16:31,160 peace.

This month is the 30th anniversary of Nirvana's multi-platinum final album, “In Utero.” Released months before the death of lead singer Kurt Cobain, “In Utero” was the last musical statement from one of the biggest bands in the world at the time. The producer of the album was Steve Albini, who was sought out by Kurt himself as Nirvana wanted the record to be the opposite of their biggest album, “Nevermind.” Steve tells Tom about recording the album and reflects on his iconoclastic career as one of the most divisive producers in rock. Plus, Caroline Brooks of Good Lovelies calls in from a parking lot in Winnipeg to tell Tom about the group's brand new song, “Tip to Toe.”

The episode takes an unexpected turn as Rodney delves into the world of music production and the incredible advancements in AI technology. He marvels at the ability of AI to isolate and manipulate individual tracks from old recordings, revolutionizing the art of sampling. The episode concludes with Rodney bidding farewell to listeners, encouraging them to take care and promising to return with more intriguing content on the next episode of Dangerous Misinformation.     Transcription    1 00:00:00,120 --> 00:00:16,940 Hey everybody! Thank you for tuning in a dangerous misinformation. Join us today as we will be discussing pressing topics such as Christian dating sites, mass migration, Ais, effects on the music industry, and much, much, much more for the whole entire family. This is dangerous misinformation.  2 00:00:27,320 --> 00:01:25,560 Yes yes welcome everybody! Welcome to Dangerous Misinformation. My little safe haven of dangerous misinformation coming from all of us together, all of us together, moving through space and time. Appreciate you being here. This is the number one source in the world for dangerous misinformation on popular opinions and overall just the jolly old time. It is Sunday night for me right now and I just remembered I had not done Mondays episode yet and we're pushing through the resistance. He has ever read that book, uh, the War of Art where they talk about resistance and the Muse and all that. Meanwhile, my cat. I just cleaned all these carpets in this room. I just cleaned all these carpets because the cat pissed in the corner and once a cat pisses in a corner they keep going back to piss on it and I don't know what makes some piss in the first place, but if this bitch doesn't figure it out she's gonna be a stray here pretty soon, but she she has this separation anxiety, so  3 00:01:26,320 --> 00:02:26,040 she just always has to be around me, you know people and this is people talk about cats people talk about cats like. There is these antisocial creatures that hate you. Any cat that I've ever had has been just super fucking clingy to me and they have very feminine energy. So I think a big red flag is that if cats don't like you it curls probably don't like you either, but that might. You know. There's probably people that hate cats who really got the bops going brazy out here, so I shouldn't say that I shouldn't say a lot of things, but I still say them, and if you didn't know this is I already said this is dangerous misinformation, but my name is Rodney Smith. I'm your humble narrator if this is your first time tuning in welcome greeting you with open pasty Deutsche arms and if you're a returning petty person, dangerous misinformation lover, thank you, thank you, thank you very much. Um, this is where you can come tap in quick 20 minutes for you to just get caught up a little bit.  4 00:02:26,040 --> 00:03:25,500 What's going on in the world and hopefully get a little truckles and zone out of your own BS for a couple of minutes for a couple of minutos. So let's get into it. Let's get into some current world events. The world is exploding as we all know and hope you hug your loved ones tight at night. Um, I'm just kidding, but actually I think I guess China is moving ships this whole Palestine Israel thing man, I don't fully understand it. I try to refuse to understand it, and I think the most we have to know is that the world is on the brink of war. And everything they said about Big 45, everything they said that was gonna happen, the fears of Trump are all coming true 2 years now after Butthole Biden, but who would have thought okay, who would have thought that a guy with dementia and a diversity hire would not do a good job running the most powerful economy military in the world? I would have never guessed that. Personally, personally I would have never seen that coming from a mile away, you know, 81,000,000 votes uh  5 00:03:25,640 --> 00:03:42,420 the popular vote people. If everybody if everybody thinks, hey this guy, he's he's good. We're gonna be alright and we're gonna be alright and it's kind of crazy if you really think it' so, the president has so much more power over global politics than he does.  6 00:03:44,920 --> 00:04:44,120 Uh, national politics because with the national politics you have all the different state level, the federal. You have all these checks and balances the way the founding father set it up. So buddle couldn't just buddle so buddle by and couldn't just come in and you know bulldoze it which is a good thing, but when you look at the geopolitics right? Unless it's like full on waging warning, you need to get that approved by Congress in Yanayata. I mean the president controls the military in America is. The most powerful country in the world and so the president can do a bunch of shit abroad, just they have a lot of power globally, where in the United States itself we have all like I said, we have all these checks and balances just the way things are set up. And yeah, that's why these war mongerers the war mongerers are back at it and I do feel I just think it's so. You know we talk about freeing Palestine and how fucked up Gaza is, but it seems I don't know if it's just like Islamic people in general are gathering or if it's Palestinians all around the globe are gathering, but it's like if they can't get out,  7 00:04:44,120 --> 00:05:41,140 if they're trapped in this prison, like how are they getting anywhere so and how are they just? It's crazy. You see videos of like Sweden and all these places in Europe like London and shit like that. They're having all these just huge pro Palestine rallies and their name is as much prophelistine as they are anti Israel and it's just getting really kind of weird again. You know what I mean as a German as a little German boy. Things are weird me out in the sense of how you know. I'm the last person say people shouldn't say things about different races and whatnot right? Like I'm the last person on the plant that would want to silence anybody's voice. I just think it's weird how. We're getting very clicky again as the human race and it's weird because it's all in the West. I wonder this all the time. Okay, if everybody's migrating to the Western countries because that's where the economic prosperity is with the evil white people, right?  8 00:05:42,080 --> 00:06:14,980 Where are? Like I don't remember we we talk. We use the term minorities right? I don't remember the last time that I was not a minority. I can't remember the last time I went somewhere and it was just like a bunch of white people am I just like the only broke white person? Am I the only poor white person and all the white people are hanging out and these like maybe that is the deal, you know, maybe that is what's going on, but as far as in my world what I've experienced, um yeah, it's just always very, very heavily influence, which that's not a bad thing. I'm just saying,  9 00:06:15,680 --> 00:06:16,480 um,  10 00:06:17,360 --> 00:07:17,320 anyways, dude, get the bops going real brazy out here. Um, I God has been speaking to me in strange ways. You guys god has been caught, so my mother bought me a book called conversations with God by this guy called Neil Donald Walsh, and the book itself is kind of fu fu to me for the fact that it's a guy writing the book as if he's having a conversation with God like he's asking God and he says, well, God just started speaking through me and it's. Kinda like eh, you know? Cause God is everything, so God is also him and you and I and blah blah blah and so it's really painting. It talks a lot about it was written in like 95. I think if it were to come out today the Internet would rip it shreds, but my mom really loved the book so I've been reading it. She bought it for me for my birthday. It's like this big white hardcover. It's a 3 part book and so I've been getting, you know. So I've been reading it and so I've just been getting kind of interested in there's certain things that peak my interest that I'm not smart enough for one of them is religion, the other one is geopolitics,  11 00:07:17,320 --> 00:08:16,520 the other one is medicine. When I say like the field of medicine like the study of medicine. The shit that doctors do that shit's fascinating to me because they're basically body mechanics. You know when you see somebody working on a car, you know, and in my wealth see, you know, very smart airplane engineers and shit like that. I'm thinking, oh fuck, you know, we're building all these things plain you think about like the human body is the most complicated thing of all that. And there's people out here' just like surgeons and shit and like neuroscientists, and that's crazy to me, you know. It's that's way beyond my beyond my comprehensions, but it's very interesting to me. Okay, but so one thing I've been getting interested in again is uh, just religion and uh, and so I've been googling on my phone and then so the way it works because everybody's selling your information because all your phone is they get as addicted to these stupid phones and all it is is a way to just tap into our brain to sell us more shit, right? And so they just are constantly selling our information amongst each other which should be highly highly illegal.  12 00:08:16,520 --> 00:09:14,400 How that's not illegal? I don't know everybody's just selling information. All the all the important things we're already done in the early 19 hundreds, all the steel and railroads and building ships and inventing airplanes and getting electricity and building freeways and buildings you know like the guy sitting on the Empire State Building, even their sandwiches and shit. All the important things have already been done now all the rich people to get rich you're just selling information and all the infos there. All the information's already saturated, everything is saturated. It doesn't even matter anymore, but anyways god has been calling to me through the advertisers cause God is everything. So through the advertisers I got an ad for a Christian dating app and I thought you know what? I am tired of all this haram and Degeneres degeneracy in the world, so I'm gonna download this Christian dating app called what is it called upward which is a very.  13 00:09:14,400 --> 00:10:13,160 Good name, you know Upward because yeah, everything about it. That's a great name and I download it embra. Let me tell you the bops are going brazy on there. Okay, I've never seen and maybe this is a Texas thing. Okay, it is literally no pun intended. It is like digital heaven. Just have all these fucking conservative beautiful fucking angels on there and I've been swiping dog. I've been swiping, but you know I might and ask you all these and ask you all these questions like your denomination and your favorite Bible verse and stuff like that I don't know, so it sounds like the Lord is calling to me in a certain way because he knows at the end of the day the only few things in this life that I love is bops when they're going brazy and talking shit. Those are my 2 favorite things in the world.  14 00:10:13,160 --> 00:11:10,900 That's all I want to do. All I want to do is talk shit and hang out with Bops and hope they go brazy and this Christian Upward app has all of it. It's all that entangled. These women are gorgeous. I mean, I can't talk shit. I shouldn't say everything's entangled, but uh yeah dude, fuck fuck tender, fuck all these dating apps dude. Fuck even going out to a Bard. I don't even want to go out. Dude. I was so hung over today every time I hang out with this one group of. Friends, which is weird because I'm one of the relatively younger guys. I think I'm the second youngest one and they just all just absolutely drink me under the table and I cannot function the next day. Um, but yeah, went out yesterday it was fun, went and did some go carting. Uh, didn't do too well on that because to to tall an anti aerodynamic, which by the way, did you know that a cow is more aerodynamic than a Jeep wrangler?  15 00:11:11,080 --> 00:12:09,480 Fun fact that the day so you come to this podcast it's entertainment, it's education, it's information, it's a social social thing all in all it's all just packaged into one big thing especially for the Bups, especially especially especially for the bops to be going brazy dude, but yeah, so I would recommend to anybody out there to find the Lord and to download upward and don't be a scumbag cause you're gonna go to hell. You know what I mean like I've been taking this serious. I've been searching for my faith. I've been trying to find it for a long time. I can't fully lean into any sort of scripture, but I you know I believe in God and I have a spiritual side and I'm looking for him and maybe one of these angels can guide me, help guide me to where my spiritual self needs to be. Maybe you can go me up with them and we won't like I'm just I'm tired of a degenerate world, I can't talk right now.  16 00:12:09,480 --> 00:13:08,520 I gotta be kind of quiet cause it's Sunday night. Usually you know, there's probably like these walls are probably paper thin and there's probably like children sleeping around me. I'm just you're talking about the bob's going brazy on upward and yeah, I don't want to disturb people's little sleep. I took a nap earlier, man, and I was having the weirdest dreams. I was having a dream. I was having a dream that this bear was following me and but the and the bear moved really slow, but nothing could stop it. So everywhere I went and for some reason I could fly and the bear could fly too, and I was going through like these compounds and like climbing up stuff and the bear would just maneuver everything. I thought if I got the high ground the bear couldn't reach me, so I don't know what my subconscious was trying to tell me. Maybe the bear was the burden of doing all this Internet shit where I should in reality like my my Daydrop skill pays about $50 an hour if I go like a couple minutes outside of town and I'm not working it right now. I'm just focusing on this fully  17 00:13:08,520 --> 00:13:27,020 because that enough money saved and I was like yeah, let me just go all in, but um, maybe the bear is my subconscious saying, hey, why are you doing this stupid Internet thing? That everybody's doing. We could just go have a you know, just like a good career. Go buy a house Bebe Bebe cause San Antonio is cheap as fuck like that's so much money out here in San Antonio.  18 00:13:29,320 --> 00:14:29,000 And yeah, if you're curious what it is it's you can message me if you're curious about you don't need a college degree or anything, but I don't want to really talk too much about what I would. I deal on here cause I don't want it traced back to me even though I I stand behind my shit, you know this is one thing. I also think of people that don't show their face right. This is why I got out of the memoial because I don't like all the faceless meme accounts and just in general, whenever you think about people that don't show their face, they're never the good guy. So all these like anti fit people you know like the terrorist people and you know the crazy lips wearing the masks on their face, hiding whenever somebody's hiding their face you know. Think about a robber. Hiding your face is not a good thing whenever somebody's hide in their face traditionally and just common sense wise. It's never the good guys. So whenever you're looking at conflicts right? If you're looking at conflicts and disagreements, look at the people who are cover in their face and ask yourself why are they cover in their face? So I stand behind.  19 00:14:29,000 --> 00:15:28,720 Everything that I say I'd probably will change my mind on a lot of things. I'm sure some things will come back to haunt me at some point that I've said just casually trying to. You know, I'm sitting here doing a monologue so I don't have much time to really chew over what exactly it's gonna come out of my mouth. So I'm sure there's gonna be things that are gonna come back and haunt me in a certain way that I don't fully agree with down the line because that's what we do we grow as people all right, we grow we change our paintings, doesn't we supposed to do you come to this world? You don't know anything, but you actually know everything. You're rediscovering yourself your soul. So you come on your little journey before you go into the other rounds, right? And meanwhile you say some dumb shit like think about. I'll talk about this before we come after. Like the Founding Fathers. We come after people in history for things they said or did from hundreds of years ago, but then a lot of times us ours, us ourselves. We can't stand on the things we did like 5 years ago or even a year ago look at the person you were a year ago, you know, maybe even 6 months ago, maybe last week.  20 00:15:28,720 --> 00:16:09,100 Maybe you're a completely different person from when you are last week. Maybe some life event happened where you've. Completely switched up your opinion on or just overall everything about yourself and that's fine. That's what you should be doing, dude, that is what you should be doing alright. This next little bit is for my before we start winding down here for my music nerds. So if you're not kind of a music nerd tune out. It was great to have you on this episode. Appreciate shall be sure to leave the rating. Alright music nerds. Let's keep going. If you're a music nerd you' should know what sampling is, but if you're sticking around just for the curiosity. So sampling is when you take a existing piece of music and you flip it into something else, right? It's kind of like  21 00:16:11,520 --> 00:17:09,060 I don't know how to comp how to compare, but you often hear songs you know you know what it is. You'll hear a song where they like a remix where they remix the old song. They take a little bit of an old song. It's like Nicki Minaj is Anaconda right? They used a little bit of the Surmix a lot song. They made the Nicki Minaj song out of it right. So now you know what I'm talking about. That shit is going to get crazy because as a former I don't know if I can carry that title any more music producer when I would sample things what I would have to try to do like if I heard a little like violin. Or something like that in a song and you're just using the one file for the song. You have to try to isolate that violin alright, so you got to find just like a perfect little loop of it where there's nothing else or ekie while the other shit out you know. I mean you're trying to remove the sounds you' don't want and boost the sounds you do want and then hide the shit you don't want with us. It's like it's you gotta bake this little cake, you know, you gotta put the right amount of ingredients and to make it sound right, mix it and all that, but now  22 00:17:09,160 --> 00:18:08,800 you can take one file like if you wanna samples the AI, the AI is getting out of fucking control and I found out about this because the 30th anniversary of a Nirvana album of In Utero is coming out and they were able to take old ratchet ass like nineties concert footage and the AI is so smart that it can distinguish the vocals, the guitar, the base and the drums and put them all on different tracks. And then an audio engineer can go in there and clean up that individual track and then remix it, put it together so you can hear the live performance cleaned up so it sounds like you were actually there. So it's not just and this is like shit that was just recorded on, you know, fucking 90's cameras and. So basically was Samplin. So if you can get your hands on this AI which I'm sure it's not hard to do and you'd get like an old record right? Like sometimes you'll see. I mean just go on YouTube or something like that. I'm talking like somebody's sampling a record. They'll find an old vinyl, they'll put they'll drop the needle, they'll take a little snip it  23 00:18:08,800 --> 00:18:54,560 if it put it in the computer, chop it up and make something out of it right. But now you can do that with anything you can take any you don't have to find the right place, you can just be like, oh, I want to sample this. Then the AI will give you stems that will give you individual stems of an existing song and that is fucking nuts, did that is fucking nuts and the AI is scaring me is legitimately scaring me the abilities that we are starting to have with the AI and yeah, that's that' wow, excuse me anyways. Thank you for tuning in happy Monday. Hope you guys are starting your week off strong. Appreciate your being here. I'm gonna make sure my cat isn't gonna piss in this room and y'all take care of yourselves and I'll see you tomorrow.  24 00:18:54,560 --> 00:18:55,360 peace.
