Stylized to look like a comic book, the art features Laurel and Dinah in their current costumes, while Mia seems to be wearing one inspired by her father. https://www.cbr.com/green-arrow-and-the-canaries-arrow-spinoff-series-first-promo-poster/   Crisis on Infinite Earths: Stephen Lobo Cast as Jim Corrigan, AKA The Spectre (Date: 16 Oct 2019) Another DC Comics icon will make their Arrowverse debut during the Crisis on Infinite Earths crossover. IGN can exclusively reveal that Detective Jim Corrigan, human host of the powerful cosmic entity known as the Spectre, will appear in the crossover. The CW has cast Stephen Lobo (Continuum, Supernatural) as Jim Corrigan. The network isn't confirming whether The Spectre himself will appear, though given the character's role in the original Crisis on Infinite Earths comic, that seems a distinct possibility. In the comics, Corrigan is a mortal human bonded to the Spectre, a powerful supernatural avenger. That bond is intended to give the so-called "Spirit of Vengeance" a conscience and a better perspective on mortal affairs. The two are among many heroes who do battle with the Anti-Monitor during Crisis. https://www.ign.com/articles/2019/10/16/crisis-on-infinite-earths-spectre-jim-corrigan-casting-crossover-cw-arrow-stephen-lobo FEEDBACK   DISCORD:   RandyWalker I totally forgot that Earth-2 Laurel went back to Earth-2. NGL I totally didn't pay attention to the ending few episodes of season 7. The FTA sucked then and it's still bad. Adrian Chase's hair was sexy   yakk0dotorg very satisfying premiere of Arrow last night. I enjoyed it a lot.   StephenJondrew Totally agree - right from start to finish. I loved the ending seconds. It was so good. Also, the Diggle-car scene was a fantastic moment. I enjoyed how that whole Diggle debut played out.   E-MAIL:   From David: First off I wanted to start off by saying I am going to miss your podcast. I look forward to your arrow recap every week. A couple of thoughts. Am I the only one who notices that the Queen mansion looked different. The foyer didnt look the same as it did in season 1 and 2. Also, do you guys have any speculation as to what happened to Robert Queen on Earth 2?  The last thing I remember was that he was the hood. I also know people hate the Flash Forwards but I actually think they are building to a place where Oliver will end up in the future recruiting Mia and her team, since the Monitor told Felicity in the finale of season 7 "Believe me, the world will need her as well"   NEXT EPISODE   Link to Promo: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Kfj3xucI8Xk (Date: 15 Oct 2019)    Episode: “Welcome to Hong Kong” [Season 8 Episode 2] Air Date: Tuesday, October 22, 2019  Summary: Oliver, John, Laurel, and Tatsu seek out an important person within The Monitor's plan. This brief programming change is largely due to what's airing before Arrow, with Supernatural being replaced by a one-hour special titled "Tough Mudder: Tougher Together". This means that "The Thanatos Guild", the sixteenth episode of this season, will presumably be airing a week later, on March 22nd. While details on this episode are scarce, we know that it will be part of Roy's short multi-episode arc, which is expected to have a major effect on one Arrow mainstay. And if that wasn't enough, the episode will also feature the return appearance of Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law), who was last seen in the season five finale. http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/23/arrow-season-6-episode-16-roy-harper-air-date/   GENERAL DC NEWS:   Jonah Hex Confirmed for 'Legends of Tomorrow' Season 3 Finale (Date: 20 Feb 2018) Jonah Hex (Johnathon Schaech) will return to DC's Legends of Tomorrow for its season 3 finale, ComicBook.com has confirmed. Warner Bros. Television confirmed the speculation, but had no comment as to what role Hex might play in the episode. http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/20/jonah-hex-confirmed-for-legends-of-tomorrow-season-3-finale/   Chris The Flash's Violett Beane to appear on Legends of Tomorrow (Date: 21 Feb 2018) The Flash‘s Violett Beane, a.k.a. Jesse Quick, will make an appearance in the 15th episode of Legends of Tomorrow, EW has learned. Details on what brings her to the Waverider are being kept under wraps, but the episode in question is titled “Necromancing the Stone.” Her arrival comes on the heels of Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) joining the Legends — he briefly appeared at the close of Monday's episode as Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) set out to recruit him. Beane will also return to The Flash in the Tuesday, March 6 episode, teaming up with the Scarlet Speedster and Jay Garrick (John Wesley Shipp) to stop a nuclear bomb from destroying Central City. http://ew.com/tv/2018/02/21/flash-violett-beane-legends-of-tomorrow/   Legends of Tomorrow: John Noble will actually appear — but there's a twist! (Date: 19 Feb 2018) EW has learned exclusively that the actor, who has been voicing this season's big bad Mallus, will appear as himself in an upcoming episode of Legends. Yes, as himself. Seriously. As EW previously revealed, the time demon Mallus will be an entirely CG creation, hence Noble appearing in a different capacity. http://ew.com/tv/2018/02/19/legends-of-tomorrow-john-noble-spoilers/   NEXT EPISODE   Part 2: Promo for Next Week's Episode   Link to Promo: (Date: 8 Feb 2018) http://comicbook.com/dc/2018/02/09/arrow-season-6-episode-14-collision-course-promo   Episode: “Collision Course” [Season 6 Episode 14] Air Date: Thursday, March 1, 2018 Summary: Oliver, Diggle and Felicity disagree with Dinah, Curtis and Rene on how to handle Black Siren. When you "Enter Flashtime", you can do a lot in a short amount of time, but even you may not be able to stop a nuclear explosion. Flash and Jesse Quick rush to stop an eco-terrorist named Veronica Dale, but she ignites the bomb and Barry must keep running while he tries to find a way to stop it. Luckily Jesse keeps up with him. She even rushes off to get Jay Garrick on Earth 3 to see if he can help. Meanwhile, Barry unsuccessfully recruits Cisco; who can't breach it, Harry; whose idea could destroy the speed force, and Caitlin; who can't freeze it. Barry's literally running out of options. He also teased Dig's friendship with Dinah Drake, the new Black Canary, as well as the looming threat of General Walker and Team Arrow's visit to Russia. About his role in the team, he said, “He's a serviceman. He's a soldier. He's the guy who lays on a grenade. So that's what he immediately gets to. He gets to helping Dinah. He gets back to helping the team. He sees that Felicity is compromised, and he calls her on it immediately. Before he gets back out on the field — which he does! — we'll see him kind of getting back to service, of being a help, which is in the best possible way I could say that… but the moral help, I should say. The moral compass. And the team needs it. When he comes back, the team needs it. Dinah needs it, and Felicity particularly needs it.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/arrow-david-ramsey-spartan-black-canary-dinah-drake-general-walker-russia-felicity-bratva-prometheus-interview/     GENERAL DC TV NEWS The JSA Returns In This Synopsis For LEGENDS OF TOMORROW Season 2 Episode 12: "Camelot/3000" (Date: 03 Feb 2017) ALL FOR ONE — The Legends continue their quest to hunt down the Spear of Destiny before the pieces fall into the hands of the Legion of Doom. The Legends discover that pieces of the Spear are each being guarded in different time periods by members of the JSA. Their first stop is the future where they find Dr. Mid-Nite which eventually leads them to the past and King Arthur's Camelot, where Stargirl is protecting her piece of the Spear. In order to protect the Spear shard from the now-evil Rip Hunter, the Legends must join forces with the Knights of the Round Table. Original airdate 2/21/2017. The Hercules star talked to ET's Ashley Crossan at the Directors Guild of America Awards on Saturday, where he dished on what fans can expect from his role on the CW show. "I'm heading up to Vancouver, and I'll be doing a three-show arc, and Teri Hatcher's playing my wife. I'm from another planet that's an arch-rival planet of Krypton," he said. "Which is now of course destroyed." And, no, your ears don't deceive you — that's Mark Hamill of “Star Wars” and “Batman: The Animated Series” fame providing the sweet, weedy vocals for the marshland's defender. The clip, from the show's upcoming “Zombie King” episode, shows Solomon Grundy getting ready to march on a nearby city, having raised an army of the undead. “Zombie King” airs on Cartoon Network on Saturday, February 4 at 7:30 AM. “Justice League Action” is a production of Warner Bros. Animation and DC Entertainment starring Kevin Conroy, Rachel Kimsey and Jason J. Lewis. Variety reports Greg Berlanti's “Black Lightning” just received an official pilot order from the network. According to the report, The CW will stagger their superhero programming throughout the year to avoid scheduling five straight nights of supehero series. “I don't think so,” Berlanti said at the time. “If we're lucky enough that that exists, that that show exists, I don't think those worlds will cross over.” However, seeing as the pilot has just shifted from Fox to The CW, it's hard to rule anything out. The set photos depict not only Criss but also Keiynan Lonsdale as Kid Flash, David Harewood as Martian Manhunter and Carlos Valdes as Vibe. Titled “Duet,” the crossover will kick off March 20 with a lead-in on “Supergirl,” similar to how the setup for last fall's “Invasion!” was handled, and then continue on the March 21 episode of “The Flash.” Link:http://www.cbr.com/flash-supergirl-music-meister-set-photos/   To Celebrate The Release Of THE LEGO BATMAN MOVIE, DC TV Shows Get A LEGO Makeover (Date: 06 Feb 2017) The LEGO Batman Movie is receiving rave reviews, and it appears as if Warner Bros. is going all out this week to give it one final promotional push. That involves giving a LEGO makeover to many of their hit TV shows, and below you'll find Minifigure versions of characters from Arrow, The Flash, Gotham, and Supergirl. Disappointingly, the eclectic cast of Legends of Tomorrow hasn't been included here. Link:https://www.comicbookmovie.com/tv/dc/arrow/to-celebrate-the-release-of-the-lego-batman-movie-dc-tv-shows-get-a-a148747   WATCH: LEGO BATMAN MOVIE CROSSES OVER WITH CW'S ARROWVERSE (Date: 07 Feb 2017) A new TV spot features Will Arnett's LEGO Batman dropping in on a quartet of Arrowverse heroes (The Flash, Arrow, Supergirl and the Atom). Their meeting isn't so much epic as…well, confusing. That's because the gang learns that while Batman may be an unparalleled detective, he's apparently not the world's greatest speller. Link:http://www.cbr.com/lego-batman-movie-cw-arrowverse/   SUPERGIRL PROMO TEASES DEBUT OF LEX LUTHOR'S ICONIC WARSUIT (Date: 07 Feb 2017) The pair of Luthors will take the lead in the next episode of the series, an installment appropriately titled “Luthors.” The CW aired a promo for the episode, and it confirmed that an episode titled “Luthors” has to include a shout out to Lex. At 12 seconds into the promo below, you catch a glimpse of what appears to be Lex Luthor's iconic green and purple warsuit. LENA IS ARRESTED – After Metallo (guest star Frederick Schmidt) breaks out of prison and frees Lillian Luthor (guest star Brenda Strong), the police blame Lena (guest star Katie McGrath) for his escape and arrest her. Despite overwhelming evidence, Kara (Melissa Benoist) refuses to believe her friend is guilty and fights to clear Lena's name. Flashbacks reveal how Lena came to be a Luthor. Meanwhile, Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) celebrate their first Valentine's Day together. Tawnia McKiernan directed the episode written by Robert Rovner and Cindy Lichtman. (#212). Original airdate 2/13/17. Link:http://www.cbr.com/supergirl-promo-teases-debut-of-lex-luthors-iconic-warsuit/   The Flash: Speedster Returns and Confronts Savitar in New Set Video (Date: 06 Feb 2017) We knew — based on the "Attack on Gorilla City" synopsis — that fan-favorite speedster Jesse Quick was coming back from Earth-2 for the Grodd-centric episode (airing Feb. 21), seeking help from her Earth-1 friends with her father's abduction. However, we didn't know that she would return in another future episode (or perhaps just stick around after the Grodd episode) and confront the god of speed. Link:http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/02/07/the-flash-speedster-returns-and-confronts-savitar-in-new-set-vid/   EXCLUSIVE: Mark Hamill Returns as The Joker in Justice League Action Clip (Date: 09 Feb 2017) "Galaxy Jest" airs February 11, 2017, written by Duane Capizzi. It also reunites Mark Hamill as The Joker with Kevin Conroy as Batman. The pair have been voicing the foils since Batman: The Animated Series twenty-five years ago, across multiple animated series, films, and video game projects Link:http://comicbook.com/2017/02/09/mark-hamill-returns-as-the-joker-in-justice-league-action-clip/   DC's Legends Of Tomorrow Changes Season 2 Finale Date (Date: 09 Feb 2017) The second season finale was initially expected to air on Tuesday, March 28th, following an episode of The Flash. But thanks to some reworking of The CW's schedule, the finale episode will air the following Tuesday, April 4th. The most interesting thing about this is that Legends will air in The Flash's timeslot on April 4th, and will be followed by the third season premiere of iZombie. Link:http://comicbook.com/dc/2017/02/09/legends-of-tomorrow-season-2-finale-date/    GREEN ARROW COMICS & TOY NEWS Green Arrow Vs The Flash (Date: 05 Feb 2017) DC is trying a new thing on their Youtube channel. They call it Versus, where they pit one character against the other. But instead of something like Super Hero Beatdown where we see the actual fight, this is more giving the histories and strengths of the characters and letting the fans decide. For their first episode they've decided to pit the Emerald Archer versus the Scarlet Speedster.   Link:https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/02/05/green-arrow-vs-flash/   DC Rebirth Returned… A Lot (Date: 06 Feb 2017) On the official monthly statistics, Diamond reduces the statistical data of comics that have been designated returnable, by 10%. This indicates that Diamond expect a certain amount of returnability, but not that much. Well, it seems that DC Comics seems to have overdone it this time. They made the first six issues of all the DC Rebirth twice-monthly launch comics returnable, more than ever before. Ostensibly to allow retailers to find a ceiling limit on sales to customers, to not have to order conservatively, and to be confident in ordering big. Which has allowed certain titles that had slipped away in recent years, specifically Superman and Flash, to find an appreciative audience. However, there is a cost for that kind of thing. And while sales of DC Comics are also up, so is the returnability, at record high levels, and something DC and Diamond didn't anticipate. Which is why those pallet photos are meant to be quite a revelation. Could this be why the Diamond 2016 end-of-year statistics have been so delayed? Link:https://www.bleedingcool.com/2017/02/06/dc-rebirth-returned-lot/ Funko announces Emerald City ComicCon Wave 1… w/ Green Arrow and Canary!  (Date: 07 Feb 2017) Two-pack of Drobz, along with a lot of other great announcements! It's been a little quiet in Central City lately. "The New Rogues" should be able to take care of that. Sam Scudder and Rosalind Dillon were hit by the particle accelerator 3 years ago. Dillon can spin your head round, baby, right round, but still landed in jail. But when Scudder reappears with the ability to travel through mirrors, he breaks her free and Mirror Master and The Top are born. When Flash and Jesse Quick try to catch them, Flash gets trapped inside a mirror. Now he can reflect on his ever-complicated relationship with Iris. Jay and Josh go window shopping for a new Harrison Wells on this week's episode of Scarlet Velocity: A Flash Podcast!

Podcast: Play in new window | Download Synopsis: Three years ago, Sam Scudder and Rosalind Dillon, former cohorts of Leonard Snart, were caught in the original particle accelerator explosion. In the present, Barry begins training Jesse on how to use her powers. Wells suggests the team locate a doppleganger of his from another Earth to replace him on the team once he and Jesse leave. Scudder returns from being trapped in a mirror-like dimension with the ability to transport himself and others through reflective surfaces. He reunites with Rosalind, who now has vertigo-inducing powers, and the couple go on a crime spree. Barry and Jesse, as “Jesse Quick”, confront them, but are defeated and Barry ends up trapped inside a mirror by Scudder. Caitlin secretly uses her emerging ice powers to help Barry free himself from his predicament. He and Jesse then successfully capture Scudder and Rosalind. After evaluating the candidates, the team recruits the friendly and eccentric Wells of Earth-19, despite the Earth-2 Wells’ misgivings. Jesse and her father then return to Earth-2, with Wells apprising Cisco about Barry’s suspicious escape. That night, Caitlin accidentally freezes the water in her shower and her appearance begins showing signs of her Earth-2 doppleganger. Help out the show! The song's title happens to fit this episode's theme. Stardust -  Stardust, the name of the drug in this week's episode, has some special resonance for guest star Cody Runnels, also known as Cody Rhodes, the WWE Superstar formerly known as Stardust. Cody Runnels - He's Runnels here, not Rhodes, in the opening credits. That's likely because he doesn't actually own the trademark to "Cody Rhodes," his stage name with the WWE. Since Rhodes's father was Dusty Rhodes, he and his brother took on the family name when they came into professional wrestling. Now that he's no longer a member of the WWE family, he might not have easy access to his actual family's stage name. John Jr, - This is the first on-camera reference to John Diggle, Jr. in Arrow. Last week on The Flash, fans learned that John Diggle, friend and former bodyguard to Oliver Queen, has a son -- and that was a surprise. That's right: Barry Allen's excellent "Flashpoint" adventure through time created the unintended consequence of giving John Diggle a son -- John Diggle, Jr. -- rather than the daughter -- Sara Diggle -- fans got to know after she was born in season 3 of the hit CW drama. Deadshot - Deadshot, a member of the Suicide Squad and the deadly assassin long thought to have murdered John Diggle's brother, showed up in a vision to Dig this week, haunting him for killing Andy himself last season. Susan Williams - Susan Williams is, in the comics, the sister-in-law of Hal Jordan, one of Earth's Green Lanterns. Created by John Broome and Gil Kane in the early days of the Silver Age Green Lantern titles, Susan was a bit of a rabble-rouser then, too; she ended up in a relationship with one of the Jordan brothers while digging around into who Green Lantern was. Falling into a vat of chemicals is similar to the origin of the Joker Adrian Chase - Adrian Chase is introduced this week. The hot-headed, good-looking district attorney is actually better known as Vigilante in the comics.Created during Marv Wolfman's time on the New Teen Titans, Vigilante in the comics is a former New York district attorney who's set on the path of justice after his family is killed by the mob. The CW describes him similarly: Chase is "Star City's new district attorney and an ally of Mayor Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell), who aims to clean up the streets through the legal system." “You have failed this city” make an appearance - like season 1 Lethal Weapon - Stardust burns his arm Terry Sloane - This week, we finally got to see Curtis suit up, going into the field in his Mister Terrific costume for the first time. He hasn't yet identified himself using the "Mister Terrific" name, although he did namecheck Terry Sloane -- the Golden Age Mr. Terrific from the comics -- as his inspiration (and the inspiration for the "Fair Play" jacket he wears). Trope of cool guy walking toward camera with explosion in background Oliver thinking Wild Dog's hockey mask is “cool” is likely a reference to Amell's role of Casey Jones in ‘Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the Shadows.' Curtis calls it the “Arrowcave” ARROW NEWS:   Arrowverse Crossover is ‘very, very faithful' to DC's Invasion!  (Date: 14 Oct 2016) Marc Guggenheim promises that the crossover will be faithful to the story in the comics. In the comics, the Dominators assemble a coalition of extraterrestrial races to invade Earth, with the goal of eliminating the threat posed by metahumans. Unknown to their allies, the Dominators intend to harness the metagene and create their own army of metahumans. Also, Cold will be part of the Legion of Doom. The 100th episode of ‘Arrow' promises to be big with appearances by John Barrowman as Merlin and Neal McDonough as Damian Darhk; the 100th episode will also be part of the big crossover, but Guggenheim says that the 100th will be ‘Arrow'-centric. The Top, played by Ashley Rickards, will also be appearing, alongside the very familiar, very missed face of Captain Cold. Link:http://www.cbr.com/mirror-master-debuts-in-new-flash-promo/   Chris How Supergirl gets into the Crossover (Date: 20 Oct 2016) The 100th episode will, in fact, be part 3 of that crossover, and executive producer Marc Guggenheim recently spoke to Collider on how Supergirl is fitting in with the Arrowverse.  "Last year, Supergirl established that The Flash was able to make his way to what I call Earth-CBS, and it stands to reason that with the proper breach technology, the reverse can happen. Once the heroes realize that they're up against aliens, they decide that they need an alien on their side and, fortunately, Barry knows a really nice one. I don't think it's a big shock that, between Barry and Cisco, and all of their experiences with Earth-2 and the multi-verse, that they can pluck her from Earth-CBS." (Date: 20 Oct 2016) Hamill was spotted on the set of The Flashl ooking decidedly Joker-esque. Considering that Flash is currently exploring an alternate timeline in its "Flashpoint" season, it's possible this is a Joker inspired alternate version of the Trickster. Or maybe, just maybe, many fans will get their wish and finally see Hamill take the role of the Clown Prince of Crime into live action. Movie Meltdown - Episode 351 This week we sit down to discuss our thoughts about the new movie X-Men: Apocalypse. How it ranks in this current trilogy, how it compares to the old trilogy, and just what this means for future X-Men movies. And as we're panning for movie gold, we also discuss... Kid Flash and Jesse Quick, Bryan Singer, Tom Hiddleston, the bellhop from Four Rooms, the origin of all religion, posing, Supergirl, Jennifer Lawrence, I had checked out, Spider-Man, let's think long term, the morning light, flat scenes, Olivia Munn, fancy bow and arrow shots, X-Men: Days of Future Past - The Rogue Cut, the first one, Nicholas Hoult, bird wings, comics are being ballsy, The Pell Grant of acting, James McAvoy, even more destructive is the little red head in the dorm upstairs, Michael Fassbender, Dark Phoenix, people might financially care, my favorite 90's clique of X-Men, CG effects, Rose Byrne, instead of one... you had a dozen, they just stand on that mountain for like forty-five minutes, extra dopey, Tye Sheridan, hinting at Black Flash, the adults table and the kids table, Sophie Turner, Age of Ultron, action scene choreography and Oscar Isaac. Spoiler Alert: Full spoilers for X-Men: Apocalypse, so go see the movie before you listen. "It's a whole new world compared to that first X-Men movie."
