There were new categories this year, such as Going Green, Profession Expression, Gothic Gala and Expedition: Catwalk. Sadly, we can't queue as mixed Horde and Alliance groups yet, but Pepe was there to support both factions. PS Is that Gustytail wielding Thunderfury, Blessed Blade of the Windseeker? Why yes, yes it is! Raid Team news: Noob Raid took down the first 3 bosses in Vault of the Incarnates and made good progress on a fourth - Dathea. Go Noob Raid! The Filthy Casuals defeated Normal Razza-geth and 2 bosses on Heroic. On Alliance side, Hell Froze Over downed Heroic Kurog (the coffee boss) and progression team So Let's Go Skating is working on Heroic Raz for their Ahead of the Curve Achievement. We're looking for DM's for a Week of One-Shots, Dungeons and Dragons guild event at the end of April. The Pirate Incursion event that it introduces will run for two weeks, along with a 1 week double xp event. The livestream promised for 5/30 went off without a single power outage or cut fiber. A ton of fun was had and we are looking forward to trying again next week. Kardinal, tell us your first hand experience with the chaos that is NOOB raid! (Can throw to Kardinal if you want; I was there. :) I can make a story of it. ) Noob raid's been very popular, full/almost full every week. Been doing LFR, been successful, but in spirit of learning, wanted to deepen people's knowledge 1shot Taloc, adjusted and 2shot Mother, laughed through trash, 1shot Fetid, and….we learned a lot on Vectis. Got the mechanics, need the practice. Failure is good. Teaches us that it's okay and fun to fail. “Progression is wiping” Most importantly, we laughed and had fun and there was no tension. December community events: COOP for Winter Veil, no date yet; Time After Timewalking event on Friday Dec 7th at 9pm Eastern/Server. LK Ulduar Timewalking raid. According to Watcher, Blackrock Foundry is not meant to make Highmaul immediately obsolete. They still expect you to fully progress through Highmaul before you can realistically tackle Blackrock Foundry. Normal mode Highmaul had an expectation of players coming in with heroic dungeon gear, but Blackrock Foundry is tuned for players in full raid gear (including the first few “easy” bosses). The really cool thing is, the Mumble server tied to UMAMI, so you can sign in using your personal UMAMI username and password. No more having to deal with Vent password changes. The server is at mumble.aie-guild.org on port 64738 - which is the default, so you don't need to worry about remembering that. They are finishing out their stay in STO with a Fleet Marks run. Which is running around earning Marks to help complete guild projects.  Saturday 9pm EDT. This Wednesday June 4th at 9pm EDT they are power leveling alts in Diablo 3. They are talking an average of 1 level per minute up to lvl 35-40 range. This is done via highest level of torment which gives 16 x XP and a level 70 in the group. (I know it sounds exploity, but is well within Blizzards design and after level 40 there is a steep slow down in XP gains as mobs become much slower to kill for the lvl 70).  Starting June 6th they start their roam into Guild Wars 2. (as a note? this is NOT free to play, but a buy-once and don't have to sub game)   AIE Wildstar A server has been chosen for Wildstar's headstart this weekend! For those who will be playing said game as it launches, look for AIE on the Stormtalon - PVE server, Exile side! We will of course be having the director and one of his officers next week right here on the show, but the launch happens sooner than that! It's almost time to get that new level 90 you boosted all skilled up. If you just joined AIE and don't know what I'm talking about, go to the forums and read up up about the event on Syrene's post. It's probably our single largest in-game social gathering, and is something you just have to see.   It's time once again for Ask a SWTOR Guildie. This time Maelchon is in the hot seat, so if there's anything you ever wanted to know about him, now is the time to ask. So far Maelchon has answered who his favorite raid team member is, what color his light saber would be in real life, his favorite guilty pleasure, and more. To find out the answers, and ask your own questions, hit the forums.   Microsoft isn't the only company to get a major reorganization. AIE EVE just announced a change to their corporation org chart. Several AIE members are taking on division head roles in different aspects of the game. (Game? Doesn't sound like a game does it?) Hoots is in charge of Diplomacy, Lanctharus is heading up Military, Stu is handling Logistics, Kuda has taken on Manufacturing and Industry, and Orsalis is leading Recon and Intel. If you're a spreadsheet spacer interested in helping in any of those divisions, contact those guys at once. Unless you're a spai of course.   Also in the same universe, elections have started for seats on the Council of Stellar Management, which is the player-selected group of representatives that work with CCP to help make EVE a better game (Nope, still doesn't sound like a game). Voting ends on April 22nd, and Hoots, Lanc, Stu, and Kuda have spent the last several months interviewing candidates for their Cap Stable podcast to help you make an informed decision. They have interviewed 28 of the 46 candidates, so they've really done their homework.   The AIE Nomads are finishing up their roam into SWTOR today. The tents are packed, the camels are loaded, and Lotwook has posted a nice thank you message to the AIE SWTOR community in the forums. Starting tomorrow, the Nomads will wander their way into LOTRO, so if you've been thinking about playing a hobbitses with a bunch of cool kids, now is your chance. The Nomads have also posted that their next game will be Star Trek Online, and after that, they may head into Guild Wars 2. GW2 is the first pay-to-play game they've taken into consideration, and Lotwook is asking for thoughts about this on the forums.   Speaking of Guild Wars 2, NCSoft is offering the game on sale for 50% off. It's $25 for the regular edition, and only $35 for the deluxe edition. The sale ends on April 13th, so if you want to pick it up and join the Nomads, now is the time to buy. They've also announced the April 2014 Feature Pack will be coming out on April 15th. This is the first release to to focus exclusively on in-game features, which includes their new megaserver system, a new wardrobing system, the removal of armor repair costs, and much more.   And finally, Captain Hunter wants to remind you that the Star Trek Online Junior Office Appreciation Weekend has started.

As Lanc posted in the forums, words cannot express how deeply saddened we are. Lizzy has been added to the AIE Remembrance Day list of loved ones lost.   We are just three weeks away from the AIE World of Warcraft Love is in the Air Wedding Vow Renewal and Marriage Event. This is when we get together as a guild on Valentine's Day to celebrate Love itself by holding a ceremony where AIE couples, in-game or Real Life, can express their feelings for each other. We hold this event in a highly romantic setting, the cathedral in Stormwind, so we'll need a large number of AIE members who also want to share their Love with the Alliance. Like with swords and axes and stuff. If you're interested in joining, see the AIE Azeroth section of the forums for details.   And speaking of a smashing good time in Azeroth, if you're looking to join a raid team, or need more people to fill up your Flex, don't forget we have a special section of the forums just for you. The Team Recruitment boards are full of teams looking for more people, and people looking for a team, so don't be afraid to jump in and get your raid on.   For those of you looking for adventure in deepest darkest space, Lanctharus is running a Wormhole Day Tripping Event over in Eve Online. He's looking for pilots who can fly armored battleships, salvagers, and a lot of other things I don't understand but sound terribly exciting. We can't tell you when this event is going to happen, spies might be listening, but if you're an EVE player, you know where to look for the info, and if you're not, well, what's wrong with you?   If you like your fun a little closer to solid ground, you might want to check out the Chocobo Race event going on with the AIE Final Fantasy gang. They ran it as a one-time special event, and it was so popular that they're making it a weekly thing. I don't know what a chocobo is, nor how you actually race one, but if you want to find out, the next race is this Saturday at 8pm Eastern.   If your fun knows no bounds, you might want to check out the AIE Nomads group. These plucky adventurers hop from game to game, usually free-to-play games, to check them out. Learning a new game is a lot more fun with friends, and that's what they're all about. The Nomads are heading into Rift in February, and if you want to join them, see the Roaming into Rift thread in the community section of the forums. We also want to make an apology to the Nomad gang. They were supposed to be on the show last week to brag about how awesome they are, but we had a perfect storm of anti-dis-un-availability and had to postpone that episode. As the community continues to grow, and our needs increase, we're looking to raise some funds in other ways, so we can provide everything we need and want to provide for the community without continuing to tap into the wallets and purses of those very generous people any further. One of those fundraisers is our new “Pass The Hat” campaign, where you can donate a buck or two towards keeping the community running. Thus far we're at just over 30%, with a final goal of $4,000 at the end of the year.   It was mentioned on last week's show, but we just want to make sure that folks know - The ExtraLife charity IS being supported fully by the Frogpants community at large this year!  The charity event is a game-playing marathon where people get sponsored to play video games for up to 25 hours straight. It's the gamer's version of running a 5k, but without all the sweat, knee pain, and subjecting yourself to that great ball of fire in the sky. The charity will benefit the Primary Children's Medical Center. in Salt Lake City, Utah and is a great cause. The AIE Summer of Love is going full swing! There are daily events that are going on for everyone! Yesterday (Wednesday) there was a pet battle tournament that was won by Nagozic or @angerfork on twitter! For the full results of the tournament check the show notes, as Nevermore was kind enough to post an image of the brackets. Alludra~no, I didn't compete I watched though! And speaking of the summer of love, tonight's (Thursday night's) World of Warcraft event is the scavenger hunt! It starts at 9 pm server so...it's going on now! :D If you are interested, hurry over to World of Warcraft and get in there! Meanwhile SWTOR is right now holding chain heroic runs! They are starting at the low level planets and chaining upward until everyone logs from exhaustion! Details for this event are also on the forums! Remembrance Day is tomorrow folks! Friday August 2nd is one of AIE's biggest traditions, the Remembrance Day march. World of Warcraft's gathering will be at 10pm server, starting at the Shrine of the Fallen Hero in The Barrens. As always, we ask that you come to the event unarmed. We will be marching back to Orgrimmar at a walk. Bring your horde balloon and prepare for a firework extravaganza afterward. SWTOR will be having a remembrance day event as well, starting at Alderaan in the Juran Mountains at 10pm PST. They also ask that members arrive early to de flag if they need to and to stow their weapons. The Secret World's event will be starting in the chapel on Kingsmith Island at 10pm Eastern time. Rare hunting to follow the event. LOTRO will be holding their remembrance day event at 10pm Eastern on the hill above the prancing pony in Bree. They also ask that you come unarmed. No matter which game you have decided to attend the officers strongly encourage you to log into vent to listen to the proceedings. Some even go as far to suggest that you log into World of Warcraft if you have never attended a remembrance day event, using a temporary free trial account. The warcraft event will also be live streamed and up on The Summer of Love World of Warcraft is going to end with a COOP run on Saturday August 3rd at 9pm. AIE spans multiple games, and includes people of all types. When I joined AIE last winter, I was very close to quitting WoW completely, but my experiences in the guild not only renewed my interest in the game, but also led me to explore some other games with an AIE presence in them. Even as a new member, I was welcomed into the guild just like anyone else, and had the opportunity to run some instances and events that were next to impossible to get into on my old server. Case in point,  RoBi has a post looking to start an expedition in the new game Firefall. Firefall is a free-to-play MMO first person shooter, and it looks really good. It's been in development for years, and they just announced the beta. If you're into first-person shooters, and want to get in on the start of a new game and possibly the next big AIE thing, then this is for you.   The secret world now has a new Raid! Well..actually it's had it for a bit and somehow we missed this big news! The island of stillborn stars opened on the 15th of this month! It's a 10 man raid, and sounds pretty cool judging by the press release. So if you play Secret world and are looking for a reason to log in, I think we found it!   Rift and the gaming website Raptr have teamed up to give you supercool new rewards! Rapter is a social gaming site that tracks your gameplay and gives you some interesting stats and rewards based on your gameplay time. (All games, wow, steam, you name it!) Well the people over at Rift decided they wanted in on this and came up for some pretty cool rewards. All you have to do is meet the conditions for the rewards (mostly it's just play enough Rift) and you can earn a helm or spaulders or even more awesome, a 30 day time card and the Storm Legion expansion for free! Muagramar will be organizing a memorial celebration of the life of Vandiclaw will be held on October 13th with details about this event are on the forums. Congrats to Archleon of AIE TOR for the newest addition to his family, Myles Daniel Quinn! Our newest little guildie was born on 9/26/12 and both mom and baby are doing just fine! If you would like to give your well wishes head on over to the forum thread in the community section titled Newest little guildie! Congrats to Melyanna and Peach on their recent wedding! The secret world has a new chapter out!  Issue #3 the cat god was quietly announced on the secret world forums for a September 26th release. That's right! Other games are updating too! Speaking of game updates Rift's first expansion, Storm Legion, has a Closed beta starting Friday 10/5. Guys, remember, this is a closed Beta and is under NDA, so please don't post stuff in our forums, use Trion's CLOSED beta forums only Also this Friday, October 5th,  the Rift Community team will be doing a live stream to reveal the newest addition to the Rogue soul, the Tactician. World of warcraft has announced changes to reputation grinds! That's right they are becoming less grindy for alts. Once one of your characters earns revered status, the rest of your characters will earn rep at twice the rate! Plus changes to the grind from revered to exalted are also in the works! So far the thread has been somewhat light on the spoilers, but if you don't want to know anything about this amazing book I'd suggest not peeking in! AIE World of Warcraft has finished their great 6 month purge and would like to remind all members that they will go back to their three month inactive policy in October. That means that all characters who are inactive for 3 months or longer will be removed. If you find yourself suddenly outside the guild upon log in, just hop into the aielfo channel and your friendly officers will be happy to get you back in! Blizzard also decided that guild rep was too difficult to earn and buffed it, so you can earn back rep much more quickly! An old thread which is still active from time to time, is the AIE Exercise Plan! I recently started up trying to get off my rear end and be more active, so started posting things as well. Its been interesting to find out what is motivating folks and what they're using as tools to get in shape! Taxillus Transtellar is planning a roam Friday September 14th at 9pm Pacific time. They are asking all participants to bring a pvp micro warpdrive fitted frigate. They expect to die in fiery death explosions as Tuku and Lanctharus are leading this event. Speaking of EVE, Dust 514 in beta and free to play on the Playstation 3! This FPS takes place in the EVE universe, allowing players to earn ISK and take part in battles on planet surfaces. Unfortunately this is a playstation exclusive game, so you have to have the console to take part. There's already some talk about it on the forums. Rift is expecting it's big 1.1 patch tomorrow! What's that mean? Well it means factions are a thing of the past! Seriously! All races are now open to both factions! It is important to note that currently the AIE guild and UMAMI do not support Guardian characters, word on when and if AIE will be opening it's doors cross faction will be coming soon on the forums. Storm legion, Rift's first expansion, will be released November 13th! The basic edition is only $39.99 with a collectors edition only $59.99. If you are new to rift and are thinking of joining in on the fun with the expansion you can pick either edition for only 10 dollars more to get the base game and 30 days of game time! And remember, if you buy a year of rift up front, you can get the expansion for free! AIE Steam is sad to announce that TF2uesdays have been cut. With the influx of new games out there and Mists rolling around, attendance has been a little low. The old paid app Auction House Remote is now available for GRATIS!  Buy and sell your stuff in the Auction House remotely and it even lets you participate in your co-guild's gchat.  Sorry there is no support for greenwall if you use this app so you will only be able to read and participate in only one co-guild's gchat. World of Warcraft has released a new recruit a friend mount! The new Obsidian nightwing mount, has officially taken the place of the X-53 touring Rocket as the recruit a friend reward. This new mount, instead of being a two seater or personal mount, transforms the owner into a black winged cat! Details about how to obtain the mount and images of it in action can be found on the world of warcraft website. Pet battles are live on the beta! Now you can begin the testing on how best to train up your own personal army! The new in game system is a bit on the buggy side and is still new, but that's what betas are for! GAME NEWS Hello I am Lanctharus, are you suffering from Diablo III DT's?  Because I sure am.  Need demon killing fix soon.....  Cannot wait the 14 days.  I haz a sad. First of May, first of May, outdoor f... Um I mean it's the first of the May (not even 24 hours)  and we already have 50 people applying for membership.  Holy poop!  Also we wanted to call upon the membership to plan and run guild events.  For example a few years ago Despair a for Salus is more than 50% into Level 9 and has 339 total characters.  Way to go! Our gold cash flow is still looking very good.  We have over 2.4 million gold in our banks.  Incoming gold has dipped a bit but we are still very much in the black. We currently have nearly 7K characters amongst all the co-guilds and we guesstimate that that number represents nearly 2K individual member accounts.  We soon plan to start up our own banana dictatorship. All Hail the AIE banana republic! Speaking of malevolent overlords, even more AIE officers are succumbing to our new pony overlords.  Derpy is still the best pony!  And big props to all our bronies and pegasisters who stop by and say hello in Vent.  Brohoof!
