Each piece of gear will be able to be upgraded twice for 250 valor for each upgrade. Get your old raid group together and relive the fun- or experience it for the first time. http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/56774-arkinventory-rule-for-warmill-and-salvage-yard-sets So as an avid user of ArkInventory for my bags and an overly organized person, I tend to use ArkInventory rules to put stuff in specific locations in the inventory screen. You can collect transmog sets from the Salvage Yard and buy transmog sets from the Warmill. To keep those from getting lost in my general inventory I've made two rules for ArkInventory that will allow you to choose a location for that rule and the items will show up there. It's faction agnostic and has all the sets per rule, so you only have to set it once on one character and it will be in effect for all your characters. Frustrated with Random LFRs, looking for something fun to do in game, want to get your RP on? Remember, the AIE forums are fully functional and a great place to read and share information with the rest of the guild. Traditionally, the Summer of Love is held during the first week of August, with Remembrance Day celebrated on August 2nd, but due scheduling conflicts (many of the guild either be at or returning from Nerdtacular), we are kicking off the Summer of Love on August 9th, with Remembrance Day. This is one of the most sacred and important events we hold each year. The event began to honor Bruce "Milliway" Galloway, an early member of AIE who passed away in 2007. He was a fan of AIE on a level that cannot be overstated, and a good friend and kind soul to all who knew him. On the day of his death we assembled and held a vigil in game. This vigil soon became our communities' yearly tradition to honor him and every guild member who has been taken from us too early. This year we will honor those we have lost on August 9th at 9pm Eastern, each in our own games, but together in Mumble. If you've been raiding it this week, you probably noticed it's a little harder to progress than Highmaul was at the beginning. According to Watcher, Blackrock Foundry is not meant to make Highmaul immediately obsolete. They still expect you to fully progress through Highmaul before you can realistically tackle Blackrock Foundry. Normal mode Highmaul had an expectation of players coming in with heroic dungeon gear, but Blackrock Foundry is tuned for players in full raid gear (including the first few “easy” bosses). All the Mumble information is in the community section of the AIE forums, and we'll have a link in the show notes.   AIE: Elder Scrolls Online For you Elder Scrolls players who have been feeling like the 50+ content seems a little too hard, you are not crazy. Bethesda recently announced that they intentionally tuned the game to encourage grouping at the Veteran levels, but they've heard the complaints and have already begun re-tooling the game to make the 50+ experience more like the 1-50 game.   AIE: The Secret World For those of you in on the big Secret, Rattozatto wants to alert you about the hotfix that FunCom released yesterday for The Secret World. He says it has some pretty meaningful changes. I've seen the patch notes, but since I'm one of the uninitiated, they just look like squiggly lines written in the sand to me. But if you can crack the code, take a look at what's changed to see how it affects your game.   AIE: Final Fantasy The AIE in Final Fantasy gang is looking for input from all your FF players. As you know, they've been working towards buying the largest house possible in the game, because AIE is just that awesome, but there's been some discussions that it's taking too long, and they are wondering if you would rather buy a more modest house now instead of letting the fund raising drag on. If you have any thoughts on this, Abovan has posted a poll in the Final Fantasy forums, and there's quite a bit of discussion going on in that thread, so head on over and jump into the fray.   AIE: Guild Wars 2 Believe it or not, we actually have some Guild Wars news this week. NCSoft has announced that Season Two Episode Two, called “Entanglement” will launch on July 15th, and according to Velinos, if you log in before then, you will get the update for free! We'll have more news about that later in the show, so stay tuned!   Ok, we'll be digging into AIE News shortly, but first, we'd like to take a moment to offer our sympathies and support for Abovan and his wife, who lost their newborn daughter Lizzy a couple of weeks ago. As Lanc posted in the forums, words cannot express how deeply saddened we are. Lizzy has been added to the AIE Remembrance Day list of loved ones lost.   We are just three weeks away from the AIE World of Warcraft Love is in the Air Wedding Vow Renewal and Marriage Event. This is when we get together as a guild on Valentine's Day to celebrate Love itself by holding a ceremony where AIE couples, in-game or Real Life, can express their feelings for each other. We hold this event in a highly romantic setting, the cathedral in Stormwind, so we'll need a large number of AIE members who also want to share their Love with the Alliance. Like with swords and axes and stuff. If you're interested in joining, see the AIE Azeroth section of the forums for details.   And speaking of a smashing good time in Azeroth, if you're looking to join a raid team, or need more people to fill up your Flex, don't forget we have a special section of the forums just for you. The Team Recruitment boards are full of teams looking for more people, and people looking for a team, so don't be afraid to jump in and get your raid on.   For those of you looking for adventure in deepest darkest space, Lanctharus is running a Wormhole Day Tripping Event over in Eve Online. He's looking for pilots who can fly armored battleships, salvagers, and a lot of other things I don't understand but sound terribly exciting. We can't tell you when this event is going to happen, spies might be listening, but if you're an EVE player, you know where to look for the info, and if you're not, well, what's wrong with you?   If you like your fun a little closer to solid ground, you might want to check out the Chocobo Race event going on with the AIE Final Fantasy gang. They ran it as a one-time special event, and it was so popular that they're making it a weekly thing. I don't know what a chocobo is, nor how you actually race one, but if you want to find out, the next race is this Saturday at 8pm Eastern.   If your fun knows no bounds, you might want to check out the AIE Nomads group. These plucky adventurers hop from game to game, usually free-to-play games, to check them out. Learning a new game is a lot more fun with friends, and that's what they're all about. The Nomads are heading into Rift in February, and if you want to join them, see the Roaming into Rift thread in the community section of the forums. We also want to make an apology to the Nomad gang. The AIE Summer of Love is going full swing! There are daily events that are going on for everyone! Yesterday (Wednesday) there was a pet battle tournament that was won by Nagozic or @angerfork on twitter! For the full results of the tournament check the show notes, as Nevermore was kind enough to post an image of the brackets. Alludra~no, I didn't compete I watched though! And speaking of the summer of love, tonight's (Thursday night's) World of Warcraft event is the scavenger hunt! It starts at 9 pm server so...it's going on now! :D If you are interested, hurry over to World of Warcraft and get in there! Meanwhile SWTOR is right now holding chain heroic runs! They are starting at the low level planets and chaining upward until everyone logs from exhaustion! Details for this event are also on the forums! Remembrance Day is tomorrow folks! Friday August 2nd is one of AIE's biggest traditions, the Remembrance Day march. World of Warcraft's gathering will be at 10pm server, starting at the Shrine of the Fallen Hero in The Barrens. As always, we ask that you come to the event unarmed. We will be marching back to Orgrimmar at a walk. Bring your horde balloon and prepare for a firework extravaganza afterward. SWTOR will be having a remembrance day event as well, starting at Alderaan in the Juran Mountains at 10pm PST. They also ask that members arrive early to de flag if they need to and to stow their weapons. The Secret World's event will be starting in the chapel on Kingsmith Island at 10pm Eastern time. Rare hunting to follow the event. LOTRO will be holding their remembrance day event at 10pm Eastern on the hill above the prancing pony in Bree. They also ask that you come unarmed. No matter which game you have decided to attend the officers strongly encourage you to log into vent to listen to the proceedings. Some even go as far to suggest that you log into World of Warcraft if you have never attended a remembrance day event, using a temporary free trial account. The warcraft event will also be live streamed and up on The Summer of Love World of Warcraft is going to end with a COOP run on Saturday August 3rd at 9pm. Please note, this is not a bear run but fun is promised! (And who doesn't like fun?) Full details about the run are up in the forums.   Finally, we have some special messages from AIE members worldwide about what makes AIE special for them... Email from Revenar: Unlike other guilds I have been in over the years, AIE is truly a community that extends beyond the virtual walls of the games we play. AIE spans multiple games, and includes people of all types. When I joined AIE last winter, I was very close to quitting WoW completely, but my experiences in the guild not only renewed my interest in the game, but also led me to explore some other games with an AIE presence in them. Even as a new member, I was welcomed into the guild just like anyone else, and had the opportunity to run some instances and events that were next to impossible to get into on my old server. But the biggest impact hasn't necessarily been in-game for me in terms of actually playing the game. This community (and I can't stress this term enough) has led me to want to help out/...

She is that rare bird that is knowledgeable and able to communicate calmly and well with anyone of any level of ability.  She is a gem. If you want to jump on that train, post in their thread in the forums   Last month, StupidGenius held a training class on how to make loads of money in EVE. It went so well that he's offering to do it again. If you're a poor space pilot looking to hit it rich, see Stu's post in the forums to help him set the time for the next class. Yesterday, TSW Issue 7 “A Dream To Kill” was released to members. Free-to-play players will get it tomorrow. Issue #7 includes an all-new storyline in Transylvania involving a huge monster, and will have players explore hidden Orochi bases; meet an Orochi deserter; use the new flamethrower auxiliary weapon; and ride snowmobiles. At the end of A Dream to Kill players willl finally learn a key part of The Secret World's mysterious story, leading up to Tokyo – the new zone expected in a future update. Anyone who follows the AIE Podcast knows I'm always whining about all the groups in California, Arizona, etc., always having great meetups. Lots of restrictions have been lifted, and Alludra, they have Pets! Ayhood will fill us in on all the details after we get through the news!   If you happen to be playing a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, there are a few double-XP weekends coming up very soon! Starting June 22nd, every weekend till the holiday weekend, when it goes from Thursday-Sunday!   Emerge from the Agartha and follow the bees, as the Secret World has a special weekend coming up this very weekend, called Black Weekend. Additional loot, recruitment bonuses, double XP and more. Seems that the game companies are becoming aware time is precious and are trying to make it hard to decide where to spend those weekends!   Star Trek Online, the newest addition to the AIE Family, ALSO has a bonus weekend starting today! Bonus Rep and Fleet Marks will be given all weekend, with some missions you can repeat from the past, or do them for the first time if you are a recent addition! There are also special rewards you can get from the events being run, so look for those as well!   As Zod have mentioned, Pet battles are a great way to earn XP in WoW. Or at least...were! It appears that one patch removed them altogether, perhaps accidentally, and now there have been conflicting reports from EU and US community Managers, and now perhaps your pet needs to be 5 levels from what it is fighting for YOU to get XP? Only time will tell how this shakes out!   Your fellow guildies in Guild Wars 2 are also planning an event for this weekend! For everyone who has not done so, and even if you just want to come along for the party, a map completion hunt is scheduled for Saturday at 8pm EST, even if you aren't level 50-60, they will do their best to keep ya alive and looting for the duration! Everything from general guidelines, to add-ons, to specific pets to use when taking on the named pet battle trainer quests. Definitely worth checking out, and if you're an expert in Pet Battles (*cough*Alludra*cough*) feel free to add to the list! For you World of Warcraft warlocks, Syrene will be giving away three Sealed Tome of the Lost Legions by random drawing tomorrow night, Friday April 26th, at 11pm server time. The tomes start a quest line that ends up changing specific warlock spells to use green fel fire effects. It's only a cosmetic change, but way cool. If you have a level 90 warlock and want to enter the drawing, see the rules and entry post in the forums. Big thanks to Nagratz for donating the tomes.   Are you handy with Photoshop? Want to show off your chops and help AIE at the same time? The AIE EVE gang needs you! Lanctharus has put out a call for artist to create some digital images to drive fear into the hearts of our enemies. He's looking for propaganda posters and a corporate mascot. If you want to join the war effort, see his thread in the forums.   Don't forget, AIE is always looking for new games for our community members to enjoy. The Imperium Ludi forums are a great place to discover new games that other AIE members are into, and begin the GERP process to make them AIE official. Case in point,  RoBi has a post looking to start an expedition in the new game Firefall. Firefall is a free-to-play MMO first person shooter, and it looks really good. It's been in development for years, and they just announced the beta. If you're into first-person shooters, and want to get in on the start of a new game and possibly the next big AIE thing, then this is for you.   The secret world now has a new Raid! Well..actually it's had it for a bit and somehow we missed this big news! The island of stillborn stars opened on the 15th of this month! It's a 10 man raid, and sounds pretty cool judging by the press release. So if you play Secret world and are looking for a reason to log in, I think we found it!   Rift and the gaming website Raptr have teamed up to give you supercool new rewards! Rapter is a social gaming site that tracks your gameplay and gives you some interesting stats and rewards based on your gameplay time. (All games, wow, steam, you name it!) Well the people over at Rift decided they wanted in on this and came up for some pretty cool rewards. All you have to do is meet the conditions for the rewards (mostly it's just play enough Rift) and you can earn a helm or spaulders or even more awesome, a 30 day time card and the Storm Legion expansion for free! To check it out head on over to Raptr and see if you qualify!   Okay everyone, time to be jealous a bit, Guild Wars 2 is beta testing custom pvp arena maps and a spectator mode. Relatively soon players will not only be able to create their own maps to confound and boggle their enemies, but also watch players pvp to maybe pick up a tip or two.   Children's week is coming back to wow! Weeklies on Wednesday nights and Raiding Hammerknell Fortress on Mondays (with allies). GAME NEWS General Tons of changes and additions to the game since last time we were on.  There have been 3 content updates including new missions and game mechanics.  Character creation has been expanded with a ton of new hair and face options, and there is a barber and plastic surgeon available in game to change your appearance for a price.  Lairs have also been revamped, more on that later. Address concerns about poor sales/sub numbers.  Competition, TSW's “poor first impression” (takes longer than it should to get into the lore and story, initially seems like it's “just like WoW”).  Planned updates to the starting experience to help new players understand how the game works.  Talk about the recent news about loss of jobs at funcom but also bring up the fact that they are “now profitable” as well as beginning to hire members back. Once we have taken that down we will progress straight into Hard Mode Explosive Conflict We were at one time running just on the Republic side, but I want a way to make it where the op team did not get bored doing content over and over. plus it lets us help out on the Imp side if a ops team needs bodies. We also use TurnTable in all of our runs which helps to mix up the ops feel. Talk about AIE in SWTOR 2 Factions, both great.  Both provide AIE experiences in different ways. Empire - Larger group. Republic - Smaller, more intimate group Both are AIE-awesome! Patch 1.4 Terror from Beyond Terror from Beyond is the new operation dropped in patch 1.4. This storyline also ties into the Explosive conflict story line. Terror from Beyond is set on the remote planet so Asation, where the sith lords know as the Dreadmasters have opened a Gree Hypergate.  The Hypergate opens the door to an unknown place with unknown horrors.  Your team is tasked with shutting down the Hypergate and kill anything that has come through. World of warcraft has announced changes to reputation grinds! That's right they are becoming less grindy for alts. Once one of your characters earns revered status, the rest of your characters will earn rep at twice the rate! Plus changes to the grind from revered to exalted are also in the works! So far the thread has been somewhat light on the spoilers, but if you don't want to know anything about this amazing book I'd suggest not peeking in! AIE World of Warcraft has finished their great 6 month purge and would like to remind all members that they will go back to their three month inactive policy in October. That means that all characters who are inactive for 3 months or longer will be removed. If you find yourself suddenly outside the guild upon log in, just hop into the aielfo channel and your friendly officers will be happy to get you back in! Blizzard also decided that guild rep was too difficult to earn and buffed it, so you can earn back rep much more quickly! An old thread which is still active from time to time, is the AIE Exercise Plan! I recently started up trying to get off my rear end and be more active, so started posting things as well. Its been interesting to find out what is motivating folks and what they're using as tools to get in shape! Taxillus Transtellar is planning a roam Friday September 14th at 9pm Pacific time. They are asking all participants to bring a pvp micro warpdrive fitted frigate. They expect to die in fiery death explosions as Tuku and Lanctharus are leading this event. Speaking of EVE, Dust 514 in beta and free to play on the Playstation 3! This FPS takes place in the EVE universe, allowing players to earn ISK and take part in battles on planet surfaces. Unfortunately this is a playstation exclusive game, so you have to have the console to take part. There's already some talk about it on the forums. Rift is expecting it's big 1.1 patch tomorrow! What's that mean? Well it means factions are a thing of the past! Seriously! All races are now open to both factions! It is important to note that currently the AIE guild and UMAMI do not support Guardian characters, word on when and if AIE will be opening it's doors cross faction will be coming soon on the forums. Storm legion, Rift's first expansion, will be released November 13th! The basic edition is only $39.99 with a collectors edition only $59.99. If you are new to rift and are thinking of joining in on the fun with the expansion you can pick either edition for only 10 dollars more to get the base game and 30 days of game time! And remember, if you buy a year of rift up front, you can get the expansion for free! AIE Steam is sad to announce that TF2uesdays have been cut. With the influx of new games out there and Mists rolling around, attendance has been a little low. World of Warcraft has released a new recruit a friend mount! The new Obsidian nightwing mount, has officially taken the place of the X-53 touring Rocket as the recruit a friend reward. This new mount, instead of being a two seater or personal mount, transforms the owner into a black winged cat! Details about how to obtain the mount and images of it in action can be found on the world of warcraft website. Pet battles are live on the beta! Now you can begin the testing on how best to train up your own personal army! The new in game system is a bit on the buggy side and is still new, but that's what betas are for!
