I've learned so many lessons in life about how to be rich. I wasn't always rich, but I knew I didn't like being poor. So, I started studying finances and learned the mentality behind creating and being a good steward of my resources. Every single wealthy person you ever meet will tell you not to buy dumb shit. Warren Buffet still lives in his original house in the midwest. When he started banking tons of cash with Berkshire Hathaway, he didn't go out and buy a Lambo, fly private, or invest in an insane mansion. He could have, but he didn't. Mark Cuban has been heard saying the same thing to his atheletes that came to work with the Mavs...........he'd tell them, "This is a short run in your life. One day, you'll not play basketball, so save your money." And while I tell you this, yes, I've been guilty of doing the same thing, but I used the Lambos and McLarens to make more money. I used private jets to create an experience to discuss business while also creating much-needed tax write-offs. And if you don't have what you think you should right now, or are not considered rich, listen closely to this episode. I'm giving you the game based on experiences and lessons learned that transcend all time and places. Good money principles are executed by the rich. One thing you can count on with money is it will come and go, but you have to make great decisions and do good shit with it. It's the universe's way of testing to see if you're responsible with it so it can give you more. If you want to be rich, study what they do and watch your wealth come through. If your diet and exercise program has a START and an END date - the results are only going to be temporary. You need to look at the process of losing fat and building muscle as a lifestyle change. There is no finish line, no end date, it's simply an on going process of small daily improvement for the rest of your life! This is why suffering it out on a short term fat loss diet plan never works over the long term. If you don't create the sustainable habits and lifestyle changes that are required to maintain a lean muscular body - you'll always regain the weight back again as soon as you stop that nose to the grindstone approach. The good news is if you do the right things - the process of building a lean muscular body doesn't have to be stressful, or painful, and it can actually be more enjoyable than the way you're living right now. If you don't want to be fat anymore, and are ready to make a permanent change, then make sure to listen to this podcast to the very end.
In this episode, Scott and Nate have a conversation about personal growth, parenting, and the power of incremental change. Scott shares anecdotes from his life, reflecting on experiences ranging from his love for movies to his approach to parenting. Nate emphasizes the importance of knowing one's core values and applying them consistently. Together, they explore the concept of treating children like adults from an early age, trusting them with responsibilities, and witnessing them rise to the occasion. Throughout the discussion, they highlight the significance of making small, sustainable changes and the satisfaction that comes from seeing progress over time. Key takeaways: Embrace small, sustainable changes to drive personal growth. Trust children with responsibilities and expose them to adult scenarios to foster resilience and maturity. Align actions with core values to navigate challenges and achieve long-term success. In this podcast, I sit down with the remarkable Dr. Stacy Sims– who fully embodies feeling energized at any age. For almost all women– even active women– perimenopause and menopause can hit hard. And goodness knows I've felt that overnight. But today, we discuss how menopause doesn't have to be the end of you building muscle, maintaining a healthy metabolism, or feeling energized. Dr. Sims teaches us that once you understand your physiology, you can work with it– not against it. And you can optimize your health to reverse your inner age. We'll dive deep into her cutting-edge research on women's physiology and how we can adopt crucial lifestyle strategies so we don't have to become a statistic– because we're so much more than that. A strong metabolic foundation lets me show up as my best self for my family and myself. And to get metabolically healthy, you need to support your body with nourishment, movement, stress management, and quality sleep. Lucky for you, Dr. Sims and I discuss all of this– and so much more in this podcast! So join Dr. Sims and me to learn how to thrive as women. She'll give you the tools you need to exercise for strength and enhance your metabolic health– at any age. Plus, if you love all the knowledge she shares and are interested in learning even more, I highly recommend her book Next Level. I've read it twice so far, and it's a valuable guide that will span decades. Because even throughout these 40+ years, we're going to constantly evolve and change. So having this kind of research can help us navigate our body's changes with ease and grace. Press play on this podcast now to learn how to enhance your metabolic health– and feel like yourself in your body again! Dr. Stacy Sims Dr. Stacey Sims is an international exercise physiologist and nutritional scientist. She aims to revolutionize exercise, nutrition, and performance for women. While at Stanford, she had the chance to translate her early research into consumer products and a science-based book called Roar. Roar was written to explain sex differences in training and nutrition across the health span and lifespan of women. Both the consumer products and the book challenge the existing dogma for women in exercise, nutrition, and health. Her newest book, Next Level, focuses on how women can navigate menopause with strength, endurance, and energy. Wondering why some people seemingly stay lean with minimal effort? Wondering why it's so hard for some people to lose weight and keep it off? It all starts with adopting the traits of a lean person. If I were poor and wanted to be rich, I'd have to start doing things rich people do.If I were a mediocre athlete and wanted to be great, I'd have to start doing what great athletes do. Well, this also applies to fitness. If you want to get and stay lean (whether it's for health purposes or aesthetics), you'll need to adopt habits and develop traits that most lean people have. In this episode, I go over 13 different habits and traits of lean people. Getting lean is not easy - it takes a lot of work.Staying lean is even less easy, especially if you don't spend the time developing the habits of a lean person habits.Listen to this episode to find out what these habits are and how you can implement them into your life!Need help figuring this stuff out?
