This may not be your typical Lenten Psalm, but at a time when the world is springing to life and the days are becoming longer (in the hemisphere I live in, anyway), this week we'll be hearing Psalm 19. We might think of Lent as a time for more sombre reflections - and while it is important to do that, and we will be allowing space for that in this series - Lent can also be a time to find inspiration in the world around us, to see the beauty that is in our midst, to increase our awareness, to use our senses as we tune in to our surroundings, and to tend to our wellbeing in this way. This week was St. Patrick's Day, and the language of nature filled so many of the prayers of his time because of the early Celtic Christians' close relationship with the cycles of life and the seasons of the year. In the Celtic tradition, there was a teaching that there are two books through which we learn about God: scripture and creation. Today, we hear the words of Psalm 19, which tells of the heavens declaring the works of God, and skies proclaiming God's glory. As you listen, consider any moments when the world around you showed you something of who God is. And may we be reminded that amid the brokenness of the world, we can also see the beauty all around. You can find lyrics, scores/books, mp3s, CDs for The Heavens DeclareFind our more about our music at www.celticpsalms.comIn the Lenten Psalms and Practices series, there will be a weekly podcast that will come out on Wednesdays throughout Lent. During Lent, we create a space to listen to our longings. Many of us heard scripture passages this last Sunday about wandering in the wilderness this past Sunday, and in today's Psalm we hear about our souls longing for God like a dry land. We often ignore our longings, push past them, resist them. And we might even think that Lent is the time to do just that - to fast from things that are unhealthy for us, or to refrain from things we love maybe a little too much. But if we go further under the surface, we hear our deeper longings: our longing for love. Acceptance. Belonging. Forgiveness. Hope. Healing. Comfort. Strength. So today as you listen to Psalm 63, give yourself that space to listen for that longing deep within, that longing that in the end, only God can truly satisfy. TJ talks with Lucas, a friend from the Midwest (US) who experiences same-sex attraction and generally identifies with Side B but finds understanding among several “sides” of the Christian debate. We see Lucas's story offering an example of someone processing through faith, attraction, ethnicity, political frameworks, and arriving at a position of thoughtfulness and nuance. — Note: We use the terms “Side A” and “Side B” as shorthand quite a bit. If you're new to the conversation, here's a quick explanation. We also recommend listening to our episode #3, “A-B-Y-X | 4 Sides on SSA/Gay Sexuality.” "Side A" generally refers to the perspective that affirms God can bless same-sex marriage and sexual relationships. Sides B, X, and Y all represent perspectives that uphold the historic Christian sexual ethic of marriage between a man and a woman, and sex within marriage. Specific perspectives differ beyond that: “Side B” recognizes people experience same-sex sexual attraction and may describe that experience by a variety of words or identity terms while still holding to the historical Christian sexual ethic. ”Side X” tends to emphasize the possibility of sexual orientation change, and ministers to gay people toward the aim of being "ex gay." “Side Y” tends to avoid naming any kind of identity language associated with LGBT concerns, with the goal of not taking on an identity of being "gay." Timestamps 2:25 - Lucas' church background 7:06 - The pros and cons of different words: Same-sex attraction, gayness, and more 10:04 - Lucas' story: Naming and understanding about same-sex attraction 21:09 - Lucas' story: Sharing about same-sex attraction 29:02 - An alternate vision of marriage in culture ("we make marriage more difficult than it has to be") 35:10 - Connecting culture and ethnicity with sexuality conversations 39:25 - Why aren't you side A? (or, What is marriage for?) 43:32 - Why don't you see yourself in side X or side Y? 51:49 - Side B: More opportunity for friendships? 54:47 - Suggestions for future research on queerness 59:55 - Other intersections (intellectual traditions, multi-ethnic, etc.) with Lucas' perspective 1:02:16 - The possible role of government in sexual morality 1:09:03 - Looking to the future: Co-housing Links and References Below are some resources or terms that Lucas and TJ mention in this episode, which may help make this conversation accessible to global listeners (inclusion does not imply endorsement, of course). Google has been working to develop better tools to track energy consumption and production in order to achieve its 24/7 carbon-free energy goal by . Google has been working to develop better tools to track energy consumption and production in order to achieve its 24/7 carbon-free energy goal by 2030. As part of these efforts, the search giant announced a new tool called Time-based Energy Attribute Certificates (T-EACs) last year to advance a more granular approach to energy tracking. Once T-EACs are fully developed and widely deployed, they will not only help Google achieve its 24/7 carbon-free energy goal but will also provide society with valuable new insights concerning the availability of carbon-free energy on electricity grids during every hour of every day. At the same time, this information will help energy consumers better understand their energy use while also creating price signals that stimulate new investments into green technologies and projects that deliver carbon-free energy when it's most needed. Google has spent the past year engaging partners around the world to advance the development and adoption of T-EACs. The company has also expanded the use of hourly certificates, accelerated the development of tools and systems to unlock energy data and hourly matching and created technical standards to drive the widespread adoption of T-EACs. Tracking and reporting carbon-free energy The registries that create, track and manage the energy attribute certifications (EACs) associated with clean energy generation are some of the most important stakeholders in advancing T-EACs according to a new blog post from Google Cloud. In the past, these registries have not issued or tracked certificates on an hour-by-hour basis but this has changed as demand grows for 24/7 carbon-free energy. For its part, Google has been working with global registries to accelerate this shift while creating new products and services for tracking energy attributes on a more granular basis. Read More > Google Cloud will now tell customers how to reduce their cloud emissions > Google Cloud has renewed its environmental vows in a big way > Google says it has the 'industry's cleanest cloud' In the US, the company partnered with the non-profit M-RETS which tracks and validates energy attribute certificates in order to expand the hourly transaction capabilities of its platform and enable the tracking and retirement of hourly certificates by all of its users. Google has also worked with APX to support the retirement of hourly Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) within the Southwest Power Pool (SPP) and as a result of this work, electricity generators across the Central and Midwest US will soon be able to retire certificates on an hourly basis whenever hourly data is available. In Europe, Google has collaborated with the Danish Grid operator Energinet as it builds the technical foundation to support granular certification and develop innovative applications such as the Project Energy Origin Platform. Meanwhile, in Latin America, the search giant has launched a pilot led by The International REC Standard Foundation in close collaboration with Evident Services and its suppliers ACCIONA Energia and AES Andes. Going forward, Google plans to continue to advance the adoption of hourly certificates as it works to ensure it is able to meet its goal of running its global operations on 24/7 carbon-free energy by 2030. Friday, 28 January 2022, 5 – 6:30pm An online webinar to celebrate the launch of the new online exhibition 'Seeing Ireland' which will explore one of the most important events in Irish art history: Exposition D'Art Irlandais, held at Galerie Barbazanges in Paris in Jan-February 1922. Guest speakers include H.E. Vincent Guérend, French Ambassador to Ireland, Mick O'Dea, PPRHA, Sinéad Ní Mhaonaigh, ARHA, Billy Shortall, Angela Griffith, Ciaran O'Neill. The event will also feature a short virtual tour of the 3D recreation of the original exhibition space developed by NoHo Design. This event is organised in partnership with Trinity Long Room Hub. Support is being provided by the Irish Government through the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Decade of Centenaries programme. About the exhibition 1922 was a seminal year for Ireland and Irish identity: the modern Irish state was founded; James Joyce's Ulysses was published in Paris; and the Irish Race Congress, an international conference and accompanying Irish art exhibition that was a reckoning of Irish identity politics, was held in the French capital. As part of the decade of centenaries commemorations an ambitious series of interlinked events and exhibitions will take place in the Midwest US, Ireland, and European capitals in 2022 to reflect on the events of 100 years ago, to examine the journey Ireland and Irish identity have travelled over the past century of statehood, and to look ahead to Ireland's next century. In January, an online exhibition at the Trinity Long Room Hub organised by Prof Ciaran O'Neill and Dr Billy Shortall (School of Histories and Humanities) will interrogate one of the most important events in Irish art history: Exposition D'Art Irlandais, opened at Galerie Barbazanges in Paris in January 1922. The Exposition, associated with the World Congress, featured established and emerging talent in what would become known as the ‘Irish School of Art'. Artists as diverse as Sarah Purser, Jack Yeats, Sean Keating, John Lavery, Lily Yeats, and Constance Markievicz displayed nationalist work in an overt attempt to legitimate a postcolonial presence in the global field for Irish art and crafts. This new exhibition—an immersive experience and 3D recreation of the original exhibition space-- will recreate, remember, and question this foundational moment in Irish art history.

Central to the story of biochar is Amazoinian Terra preta, fertile anthropogenic (meaning human made) dark earths in Amazonia that were enriched with char more than 8000 years ago. 1 Terra preta is the result of char and household waste (bone, broken pottery, compost and manure) mixed into the native soil, Oxisol, which transformed this otherwise low fertility soil into a more productive soil. But is Terra preta, ancient carbon rich soil only found in the Amazon basin?

See all the Healthcast at https://www.biobalancehealth.com/healthcast-blog/ Supplements are vitamins, enzymes and minerals that are generally contained in food, but are not present in large enough amounts to keep your body supplied with the building blocks necessary for health. Enzymes are the natural chemicals that make chemical reactions in your body work. Minerals keep your electrolytes balanced which keeps you alive. Vitamins are tiny chemicals that are building blocks for bones and other tissues in the body and often also work as communication chemicals in the body. I believe that taking supplements is absolutely necessary for people living in the modern world. This belief is based on several factors: The food we eat is not as nutritious as it was when out parents were young. Most meals are not made at home, and now a days Mom or Dad aren't cooking based on nutrition, but taste Nutrition guidelines from the government are wrong: based on the food America grows (so we eat what we grow) and not what we need Decrease in the nutrition fortification in our basic food—the government has decided we don't need iodine, vitamin D in all milk, or magnesium and calcium added to our food, even though we don't get enough in the average American diet. The RDA provided by the government is misunderstood RDA means the smallest amount of a nutrient needed for the AVERAGE American to stay alive! It is not based on the optimal amount of a vitamin or mineral you need, but the smallest amount the average body size and metabolism requires (Men being 170 lbs, not based on the average women at all). Eg if you weigh more or take meds that use them up. Most Americans are on at least on one medication that uses up specific nutrients and leaves the patient deficient! If you take a STATIN (to lower your cholesterol), or a BETA BLOCKER (to control Blood pressure or heart rate) you absolutely need to take CoQ 10, and B12 for you to be healthy. Where you live determines what is deficient in your diet and local water. If you live in North America and live north of Florida, or work indoors, you absolutely require Vitamin D3. People in the Midwest US you absolutely need Iodine supplementation (12.5 mg/day. Special diets such as Vegetarian, Vegan, or the Keto diet, or any popular diets like Jenny Craig are deficient in vitamins and minerals Vegan, Vegetarian: require that you take high dose vitamin B12, Essential Amino acids, iron and Iodine. Keto Diet: require that you take B12, all Bs which are found in breads and gluten products, A WHOLE FOOD supplement with veggies and fruits in it (Miracle Reds or Glorious Greens) and a full spectrum of nutrients in a multi vitamin People who have had a gastric bypass, and any other bariatric surgery require multiple vitamins and minerals in the Sublingual (under the tongue) form, because they cannot absorb nutrients in what is remaining of the GI tract. Women after Menopause and Men don't need Iron supplementation, unless they have had surgery or blood loss or don't eat red meat. It takes a physician, Nurse Practitioner, or dietician to review your medical history, and determine what supplements you need. It takes a pharmacist or a physician to determine what brand of supplements you need and how much. NOT ALL SUPPLEMENTS ARE EQUAL! You can take a supplement that looks the same as a more expensive brand, but doesn't absorb, or are combined with something else that leaves them unabsorbed. PICK MEDICAL GRADE SUPPLEMENTS like those sold in your doctor's office to be sure they actually are absorbed and are what you need.

Join us as we talk to the people who made Flatstock Rock poster book! The American Poster Institute (API) is a Austin Texas nonprofit corporation dedicated to promoting poster art and serving poster artists. Among the API's stated goals are: support for the community of artists creating entertainment-related posters; fostering interaction and communication between these artists: constantly improving standards in the field; and furthering public awareness and appreciation of the art form. Each year API organizes four or more FLATSTOCK poster exhibitions to showcase the work of its members. These exhibitions typically feature as many as 100 poster artists from all over the US, overseas, and Canada. The first FLATSTOCK show was held in San Francisco in 2002. Each Spring since March 2003, the FLATSTOCK show has been part of the South by Southwest Music Conference (SXSW) in Austin, Texas, and it has been a part of the Bumbershoot Music Festival in Seattle each Fall. In July 2006 the FLATSTOCK exhibition made its Midwest US debut at Chicago's Pitchfork Music Festival. For More information , Please go to Flatstocks Website www.rockpapershow.com
