A 12-year-old boy climbs out of a window in a home, running to neighbors begging for food and water. The boy is the son of Ruby Franke, a popular blogger, known for the YouTube channel "8 Passengers."  The home belonged to Franke's business partner Jodi Hildebrandt.    Neighbors called police. Officers said the boy looked emaciated and malnourished.  Cops also noted that the boy had “deep lacerations from being tied up with rope” and duct tape around his wrists and ankles.. After searching Hildebrandt's home, police found Franke's 10-year-old daughter in a similar condition.  Both children were taken to a hospital.    Franke's parenting channel "8 Passengers," which at one time boasted over 2 million followers,  doled out parenting advice,  and in her video, she admits to withholding food as a form of punishment.   Both women have been charged with six counts of aggravated child abuse. Tamar Weinberg, who was the 6th employee at Mashable and as she likes to call herself a Professional Hustler has worked in many different successful tech careers so how did she move into starting her own fragrance line? Tamar shares her heartfelt story about how she experienced postpartum depression which after a personal loss led to a much deeper depression until one day, she chose to put on this fragrance she myronically won from a Mommy Blog. This ended up being the catalyst to start her journey of creating TAMAR fragrances which include Quirky and Intense, Unisex Fragrances designed to make us feel good about ourselves and during the process she found her passion to now revolutionize the fragrance industry by creating mindful scents meant to help with mental health. Alysha can not wait to see how this Professional Hustler transforms the perfume industry with TAMAR!! About the Guest: Tamar Weinberg is an author, mother, and founder of TAMAR, a fragrance brand designed for who you are, not who they want you to be. She's determined to show the world that the key to happiness and self-improvement is loving and accepting your most authentic self first (and smelling good doing it). You can find more on Tamar and her story at tamar.com.TAMAR Social:https://www.instagram.com/tamaressenceshttps://twitter.com/tamaressenceshttps://tiktok.com/tamaressenceshttps://linkinedin.com/company/tamarfb.me/tamaressences Tamar's Social: https://www.instagram.com/tamarhttps://www.twitter.com/tamarAbout the Host: Alysha Myronuk is the creator of the concept myrony (my+irony) which are the crazy coincidences that happen in life we can't explain…it's also another word for sign/synchronicity. Myrony is slightly different because it's synchronicity in motion since it's up to us to pay attention to the coincidences or signs but also “listen” to the intuitive pull we all get which Alysha believe is our greatest superpower! Alysha's life was fairly normal until she got into a car accident that triggered fibromyalgia at the age of 18 and had to deal with that very painful chronic condition along with many other life challenges including loss of both parents, marriage, divorce, severe depression, suicidal thoughts & attempt, alcohol/prescription drug abuse and a full hysterectomy by the time she was 35. Alysha's strong spiritual connection and tenacity is what helped her through those very dark days that lead into years at times. Later she realized the reason she went through those trying times was so she could help others struggling with life's challenges and share the understanding of how to move forward. She now lives in San Jose, CA but still considers herself an East Coast girl at heart after growing up in Northern New Jersey and living in Delaware, Maryland and DC area for her entire life until she moved to California in 2012 in 6 days which is a part of her myronic journey that helped create the shift to tap into her super power that she calls her “Spiritual Spidey Sense” & wants to...

Denise Griffitts Interviews Holly Homer of Kids Activities Blog Holly Homer has been a blogger since 2007. It started as a substitution for her expensive scrapbooking habit and turned into a full time job that she adores.  Her early blog posts from June Cleaver Nirvana live here in the archives at Kids Activities Blog (some old favorites are beaver trapping, low-flow toilets, buying an eBay replacement teddy, and a little boy who calls her mommy). You can find her blog here. She is the married, partially-homeschooling, work-from-home mom of three very active boys and a dog. She realized early on that wearing them out before bedtime was a self-preservation strategy. Holly is a bit social media-obsessed. She loves teaching what she has learned both at the Business 2 Blogger blog and her YouTube channel. She speaks at conferences across the country on blogging and social media topics – Bloggy Bootcamp, Emerging Tech, Declare Conference 2013 & 2014, Blog Elevated 2013 & 2014, Project Mom 2013 & 2014, Women Get Social and is scheduled to speak at Social Media Marketing World 2015 as well as Focused 2015.  She has been featured on multiple radio interviews, TV appearances and pod casts.  A favorite podcast was about Kids Activities Blog’s FB page’s rapid organic growth with Michael Stelzner.
