Ian McGavney, President and CEO of Colibri Resources (TSX.V:CBI – OTC:CRUCF), joins me to provide a comprehensive exploration update from the recent drill program that wrapped up in Q1, and a look ahead to the coming test mining and bulk sample, Maiden Resource Estimate, and Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) on tap for this year on their Pilar Gold Silver JV Project located in Sonora Mexico. We start off having Ian recap the key takeaways from the 10-hole exploration program over 1,167 meters at the Pilar Gold Silver Project, with their JV project partners Tocvan Ventures Corp (CSE:TOC)(OTCQB:TCVNF) as operators. In this Joint Venture Colibri has 49% ownership and Tocvan has 51% ownership. Results released to the market on April 16th highlighted an intercept (in drill hole JES-25-112) of 7.2 g/t Au and 80 g/t Ag over 2.6 meters, within a mineralized zone that averages 0.5 g/t Au over 46.9 meters starting from 54.5 meters downhole. Drill hole JES-25-112 is located 70 meters south of past drill hole JES-22-62, which returned 108.9 meters of 0.8 g/t Au (see April 26, 2022 News Release). Step-out drilling south of the Main Zone has extended the high-grade corridor and a new target outcrop has also been identified, about 1km Northeast of the Main Zone. The data from these recent drill holes will be compiled with the 25,000 meters of prior drilling on this Project and feed into an NI-43-101 Resource Estimate for later in the year. Additionally, the JV companies are presently outlining a permitting and operations strategy to build a pilot facility at Pilar. The facility will support a robust test mine scenario with an aim to process up to 50,000 tonnes of material. Timelines and budgets are being prepared with the goal of moving forward on its development in very near term to potentially take advantage of the historically high gold prices. All the information from the resource and the bulk sample will then feed into the PEA slated for later this year. If you have any follow up questions for Ian regarding Colibri Resources, then please email them in to me at Shad@kereport.com. Click here to follow the latest news from Colibri Resources

Mickie Kennedy is an expert at helping small businesses, authors, and startups increase their visibility and credibility. 26 years ago, Mickie founded eReleases after realizing that small businesses desperately need a press release distribution service they can afford. While working in PR. Mickie came face to face with customers that wanted to use press releases due to their effectiveness at bringing in business, but could not afford to pay the extremely high startup fees that most agencies charged. Mickie saw an opportunity to help — and eReleases was born. Mickie created eReleases to give small businesses access to the media and to a national newswire – all with a personal touch. eReleases has grown since then and even works with big names now, but the spirit of Mickie's original intent has not changed. eReleases delivers personal service and exceptional value to every customer, with every press release, at every price point. Mickie lives in Baltimore County with his family and two feuding cats. He enjoys British science fiction and acknowledges an unhealthy addiction to diet soda. Mickie holds an MFA in Creative Writing with an emphasis in Poetry from George Mason University. He still writes poetry most Monday nights with a group of fellow misfits in Brunswick, Maryland. Mickie Kennedy Vroom Vroom Veer Summary In this episode, host Jeff Smith welcomes Mickie Kennedy, founder of eReleases. The episode begins with a brief introduction, including a light-hearted reminder from Michael Stein, a voiceover promoting the show. Jeff expresses excitement about having Mickie on the podcast and asks about her current business endeavors. Mickie shares that for the past 26 years, she has been helping small businesses, entrepreneurs, and authors gain publicity through affordable press release distribution via eReleases, which sends releases nationally through PR Newswire at a fraction of the cost of traditional agencies. The conversation shifts to Mickie's childhood, where he describes growing up in Eastern North Carolina, engaging in outdoor adventures, and spending time with friends in a rural setting. They reminisce about childhood activities, including dirt bike riding and fishing. Mickie reflects on his time at East Carolina University, where he pursued English literature and anthropology, eventually obtaining an MFA in creative writing. He originally planned a bohemian life as a poet but transitioned to writing press releases at a telecom research startup, where he discovered the potential impact of storytelling in press releases. Mickie describes a pivotal moment in 1998 when a friend faced exorbitant costs for a press release, prompting him to create eReleases to support small businesses with affordable press release services. He explains the unique approach eReleases takes by crafting story-based press releases that journalists can utilize, contrasting it with the common practice of simply highlighting product features. The discussion covers his love for British science fiction, particularly Doctor Who, and how a public TV antenna introduced him to it. They also touch on his dual interests in poetry and writing, with Mickie revealing his current poetry projects and upcoming book. Jeff and Mickie discuss his two cats and their temperamental relationship, drawing parallels to the challenges of herding cats metaphorically in work scenarios. The episode concludes with Jeff encouraging listeners to connect with Mickie through eReleases' website and social media, emphasizing the supportive and honest nature of their team. Finally, Jeff wraps up the episode with a cheerful goodbye, reminding listeners to check the show notes for more information. The episode captures Mickie's transition from writer to PR expert, her business philosophy, and personal anecdotes from her journey. Connections Website

Changes to open work permits for family members of temporary residents, Federal news release, released by on 14 January 2025 Good day ladies and gentlemen, this is IRC news, I am Joy Stephen, a certified Canadian Immigration practitioner, and I bring to you this Federal News Bulletin from CIC news release. This recording originates from the Polinsys studios in Cambridge, Ontario. | Ottawa, January 14, 2025—The Government of Canada is continuing to strengthen the integrity and quality of our temporary resident programs while supporting the country's economic goals and labour market needs. As part of the broader measures announced in September 2024, Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) is changing open work permit (OWP) eligibility for family members of international students and foreign workers. Effective January 21, 2025, only spouses of certain international students and foreign workers will be able to apply for a family OWP. Family OWPs will be limited to spouses of international students who are enrolled in master's programs that are 16 months or longer doctoral programs, or select professional and eligible programs Family OWPs will also be limited to spouses of foreign workers who are employed in TEER 0 or 1 occupations, or select TEER 2 or 3 occupations in sectors with labour shortages or linked to government priorities These include occupations in the natural and applied sciences, construction, health care, natural resources, education, sports and military sectors. The full list will be available on January 21, 2025. In addition, the foreign worker must also have at least 16 months remaining on their work permit at the time when their spouse applies for the OWP. Dependent children of foreign workers will no longer be eligible. OWPs that were approved under the previous measures and have not expired will remain valid. In situations where students may need more time to complete their program or where family members received a shorter work permit than the principal applicant, in-Canada family members (including spouses and dependent children) can apply to renew their work permit as long as they are applying under the same criteria as the current work permit, and the requested duration of the renewal matches that of the existing study or work permit of the principal applicant Spouses of workers covered by free-trade agreements and those transitioning to permanent residence will not be impacted by these changes. Family members who will no longer qualify for a family OWP can apply for any type of work permit they are eligible for under Canada's work permit programs. | You can always access past news from the Canadian Federal Government by visiting this link: https://myar.me/tag/fed/. Welcome to our first SPECIAL EPISODE where we cover breaking news as it happens. Today we catch up with Joe Uchill, senior reporter at SC Media, to discuss the Colonial Pipeline ransomware attack making headlines this week and why we continue to see escalating attacks in frequency, ransom demands and high value targets such as critical infrastructure. Joe shares insights from his many years reporting from the cyber front lines speaking with government, regulatory, industry and hacking groups on what it would take to decrease the financial incentive and increase the criminal risk to make ransomware an undesirable pursuit. Spoiler alerts….ransomware gangs make mistakes and often hit “accidental” targets, regulating cryptocurrency is just as hard as it sounds, and while ransomware task forces can't agree on the most effective solution(s) to mitigate ransomware, most agree global cooperation would be at the top of the list! September 26, 2024 ~ Tonya J Powers Fox News Contributor and WJR Correspondent Tonya J Powers discusses Fox News's election forecast and power rankings.
Erik Wetterling, Founder and Editor of The Hedgeless Horseman website, joins us to discuss two junior resource companies that have put out recent news to the market; where he is attracted to the current value proposition. Magna Mining Inc. (TSXV: NICU) (OTCQB: MGMNF) announced September 12th that it has entered into a definitive share purchase agreement dated September 11th2024 with a subsidiary of KGHM International Ltd to acquire a portfolio of copper, nickel, platinum, palladium assets located in the Sudbury Basin. Magna will acquire the producing McCreedy West copper mine, the past-producing Levack mine, Podolsky mine, and Kirkwood mine, as well as the Falconbridge Footwall (81.41%), Northwest Foy (81.41%), North Range and Rand exploration assets.* Western Alaska Minerals (TSXV:WAM) (OTC: WAMFF) announced on September 10th an update on the 2024 discovery at the Warm Springs Target, on its 100% owned Illinois Creek project in western Alaska. This is appearing to be a CRD type mineralization, where Silver-zinc-lead mineralization has been intersected Including 1.15 m @ 687 g/t Ag, 33.64% Pb, and also 2 m @ 88.5 g/t Ag, 2.39% Pb, 4% Zn. * In full disclosure, the companies mentioned by Erik in this interview, are positions held in his personal portfolio, and also may be site sponsors of The Hedgeless Horseman website at the time of this recording. * In full disclosure, Shad is also a shareholder of Magna Mining at the time of this recording. Erik Wetterling, Founder and Editor of The Hedgeless Horseman website, joins me to discuss three junior gold exploration companies with recent news out to the market; where he is attracted to the current value proposition. First Nordic Metals Corp. (TSXV: FNM) (OTCQB: FNMCF) announced on September 9 an exploration update on its 100%-owned Storjuktan project located on the Gold Line belt, northern Sweden. We discuss how this Storjuktan Project along with the Paubäcken project represent the kinds of blue-sky upside along the 100km of strike, while the Barsele gold project, with significant gold resources underpins the current value of the company. Headwater Gold (CSE: HWG) (OTCQB: HWAUF) announced on Sept 9th that the Company and Centerra Gold Inc. have agreed to a strategic investment under which Centerra will acquire 9.9% of the issued and outstanding common shares of the Company. Erik was surprised that their recent news of staking the two new projects in Nevada, that we discussed last week, or this news of bringing in a larger producer as a strategic investor didn't do much to change the company valuation and just speaks to the sentiment environment we are still in. Amex Exploration Inc. (TSXV: AMX) (OTCQX: AMXEF) announced September 5th, that it has completed a Mineral Resource Estimate ("MRE") on the company's flagship Perron Project in the northwestern Abitibi region of Quebec. The MRE showed open pit and underground stope constrained 594,100 of measured and indicated ounces at 4.28 g/t Au and 1,049,650 of inferred ounces at 3.80 g/t Au, for a total of 1.6Million ounces of gold in all categories. The stock sold off by over 40% initially, and then over 50% since releasing this resource estimate, and we discussed the potential overreaction by the market that was expecting a larger MRE and the potential value arbitrage. * In full disclosure, the companies mentioned by Erik in this interview, are positions held in his personal portfolio, and also may be site sponsors of The Hedgeless Horseman website at the time of this recording. * In full disclosure, Shad is also a shareholder of Amex Exploration at the time of this recording. Room to roam for wildlife is essential to their health, particularly as they face increasing pressures related to development and the climate crisis. But many communities aren't planned with wildlife in mind – or ecological connectivity between neighbourhoods and boundaries. The California state assembly has passed the Room to Roam Act, which compels local governments to work with each other and state agencies to ensure resilient, sustainable ecosystems are connected to protect wildlife, the environment, and human health. To share more about this exciting legislation, the impact it may have, and why connectivity is an essential tool for climate adaptation, Dr. Tiffany Yap, Senior Scientist at the Center for Biological Diversity. California property owners, developers and affordable housing advocates are scoring a big win from the US Supreme Court! The high court ruled that local “impact fees” imposed on newly constructed homes can be challenged in court. This is a significant win for property rights because these fees can add a substantial amount of money onto the price of a home. The case began with a lawsuit by George Sheetz in California's El Dorado County. That's in the foothills heading toward Lake Tahoe. Sheetz is a 72-year-old retiree who applied for a permit in 2016 to build an 18-hundred square foot manufactured home on a small lot that is zoned for residential use. Good day ladies and gentlemen, this is IRC news, I am Joy Stephen, a certified Canadian Immigration practitioner, and I bring to you this Provincial News Bulletin from the province of Prince Edward Island. This recording originates from the Polinsys studios in Cambridge, Ontario. Every senior in Canada deserves to age in dignity, safety, and comfort, regardless of where they live. That is why the Government of Canada is investing close to $200 billion over 10 years, which includes $5.4 billion for tailored bilateral agreements with provinces and territories on Aging with Dignity.Through the Aging with Dignity agreement, federal funding will support Prince Edward Island's five-year action plan to improve health care for seniors. The plan will:Increase access to home care services, including palliative careBuild a Hospital-at-Home service that brings licensed practical nurses, registered nurses, and paramedics together to provide acute care services at home. This service is expected to help meet the needs of up to 1,450 seniors through interventions like advanced wound care; andIncrease the number of palliative home care coordinators working within PEI's home care program to improve access to palliative care services in the community, reduce hospitalizations, and enhance end-of-life care for clients and their families.Close quality and safety gaps in the long-term care sectorHire additional health providers, like occupational, physical, and recreational therapists to provide services in private long-term care homes to improve the wellness and quality-of-life of residents;Expand the implementation of InterRAI, a digital platform used to assess individuals health needs, to 10 private long-term care facilities to inform care planning and quality improvement across the long-term care sector in PEI;Increase long-term care bed capacity and enable the provision of long-term care services to residents in more places, including rural communities, while facilitating comparable infection prevention and control; andLaunch mobile X-ray units across the long-term care sector to provide timely access to care and reduce the demand on patients transfers between care settings.Progress on these initiatives and broader commitments will be measured against targets which Prince Edward Island will publicly report on annually.Through this new agreement and the Working Together agreement signed in December 2023, Prince Edward Island will improve how health information is collected, shared, used and reported to Canadians; streamline foreign credential recognition for internationally educated health professionals; and facilitate the mobility of key health professionals within Canada; and fulfill shared responsibilities to uphold the Canada Health Act to protect Canadians' access to health care that is based on need, not the ability to pay. This latest development is of paramount importance to Healthcare Professionals contemplating immigration to Province of PEI. In 1998, Mickie Kennedy started eReleases as a discount press wire service, providing the same media reach as the industry heavies at a fraction of the cost. Twenty-five years later, Mickie's company is still going strong and saving companies tens of millions of dollars, having helped hundreds of thousands of small businesses reach journalists, investors, trade associations, and customers. Moreover, Mickey has become a news release maestro, able and willing to share the secrets of distributing news releases that get results. In this era of Tik Tok, Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and now Threads, do news releases still have a meaningful role in helping companies deliver their messages? Unsurprisingly, Mickie tells host and award-winning journalist Dean Rotbart that now more than ever, a well-crafted news release will ricochet through social media and deliver an exponentially larger impact.
