Welcome to Monsters on the Edge, a show exploring creatures at the edge of our reality in forests, cities, skies, and waters. We examine these creatures and talk to the researchers studying them.Joining us on this week's show:Morgan Knudsen has been involved in the world of paranormal phenomenon for 20 years. Her story began with a great great grandfather, Dr. Albert Durrant Watson, who was the president of the Association for Psychical Research of Canada in 1918, which was one of the first paranormal associations developed in Canadian history. He reported on his study of the séance communications, purportedly dictated by spirits that called themselves The Humble Ones, in The Twentieth Plane: A Psychic Revelation (1918) and Birth through Death: The Ethics of the Twentieth Plane: A Revelation Received Through the Psychic Consciousness of Louis Benjamin (1920).Co-founding and leading Entityseeker Paranormal Research & Teachings in 2003, her experiences and knowledge has lead to researching and co-creating a unique investigative program called 'Teaching the Living' and subsequently has been featured on and hosted numerous specials and TV shows (The Discovery Channel, "A Haunting", "Haunted Hospitals", "Paranormal 911", "My Haunted Hometown", T+E, Destination America, The Travel Channel, CBC, CTV, Planete+, TLC, Crime + Investigation, Celestial Tiger networks in China, and COAST TO COAST AM). Morgan is also a producer for various podcast and television projects, both national and international, as well as the production consultant for Blue Ant Media. Her work has also been presented at the Rhine Research Center by The Windbridge Institute's president Mark Boccuzzi in 2020 and she is a host and a featured presenter at the Parapsychological Association.Morgan uses her outgoing, tell-it-like-it-is approach in determining haunted locations and creating solutions for the people involved, as well as having hands on experience in both research & education in the field of cryptozoology. Her programs are now practiced in 3 different countries and a part of numerous social work and psychology secondary education courses in Edmonton. Morgan subsequently received the award from the City of Edmonton for Outstanding Service in 2008 and graduated from The AZIRE: The Alvarado Zingrone Institute for Research and Education two years in a row, receiving two graduating Certificates of Distinction in parapsychology. Morgan is also a regular contributor to the number one magazine in the UK, HAUNTED MAGAZINE. Morgan can also be heard on her podcast, SUPERNATURAL CIRCUMSTANCES, with co-host/co-creator Mike Browne (Dark Poutine), which delves into the mysterious, the spiritual, and the fascinating things in our universe. As host and creator of the sold out dinner galas, video productions, as well as in-depth walking classrooms that give people hands on experience with the investigative field in both psi and cryptids, Morgan has brought her unique and paradigm shifting programs to television, conferences, comic expos, theatres, workshops, fundraisers and more. Her deep personal experiences with the paranormal and spirituality connect with audiences on multiple levels, and she aims to leave people with the fundamental message that we are not alone, that we are all spiritual beings living a physical life, and that we have the power to create our reality by changing our paradigms. Using the fire arts as a demonstrative tool, Morgan's lessons with the elements bring yet another creative edge to capture the audience's imagination, on top of the stunning visuals, music, and evidence that make up her incredible presentations.https://www.entityseeker.ca/https://supernaturalcircumstances.com/https://psi-encyclopedia.spr.ac.uk/Click that play button, and let's unravel the mysteries of the UNTOLD! This episode is part 4 in our series with Joe McMoneagle. Joe was a US Army intelligence veteran already before he was chosen to be a part of the psychic intelligence unit at Fort Meade, Maryland, in 1978. He became known as “Remote Viewer No. 1″ within Project Stargate. Project Stargate was the United States' first organized research into psychic phenomena via the Defense Intelligence Agency and contractor SRI International. He is an author and also founder of Intuitive Intelligence Applications Inc. Today, he also teaches Remote Viewing at The Monroe Institute, a leading center in exploring human consciousness. We continue to follow Joe in the deep-end of his experiences. We start with telepathy and lying, language as an inhibitor and a protector, an incredible near death experience in East Germany, love v empathy, a life review and remembering, heaven and hell, being shards of a whole, more out of body experiences, losing the fear of death and dying, and reaching more people who are suffering. “As living entities what we are is perhaps the grand engineer or the architect of reality trying to understand what it is.” 00:00:00 Introduction 00:00:19 Telepathy Before Language 00:03:55 Telepathy Tapes 00:10:38 The Link Between Autism and Telepathy 00:12:50 Joe's Near Death Experience - "Which One?" 00:31:55 The Cause of Death in the Near Death Experience 00:40:09 What Exists After Death 00:48:12 Could Humans Just Be Shards of a Larger Being? 00:53:07 What Deja Vu Is 00:58:38 Continuous Learning 01:06:40 Fixing Anaesthesia Complications with Coca-Cola? In the first half, author and editor Craig Weiler discussed the intricate world of parapsychology, defining it as "the science of psychic ability," with major areas of research that include telepathy, precognition, and remote viewing. He emphasized the rigorous scientific methodology behind this field, stating, "We're not talking about ghost hunting shows; we're talking about scientists forming experiments...and presenting them at symposiums." Sharing his personal journey into parapsychology, he was sparked by skepticism that he encountered while blogging about psychic phenomena. He recounted, "I kept finding more and more that they were wrong," referring to critics who dismiss psychic abilities as nonexistent. This led him to a deeper exploration of the subject, culminating in his joining the Parapsychological Association."There are thousands of studies on telepathy," including ones that have provided substantial evidence for its existence, he cited. He elaborated on telepathy experiments where a sender and receiver, isolated in separate rooms, attempt to connect mentally through images. If the receiver accurately identifies the sender's images more than chance would allow, it suggests that telepathy is indeed occurring. The conversation shifted to the concept of telekinesis, or psychokinesis, where the ability to move objects with the mind is explored. Weiler explained that scientific experiments use a random number generator to see if subjects can influence the outcomes. He also described a specific experiment involving a small piece of tin foil placed under a bowl and manipulated mentally to rotate. While the results are often subtle, he noted, "I have seen some video of them getting it to move. It's a slow movement." Reflecting on the future of parapsychology, he expressed hope that it will eventually prove psychic phenomena is a fundamental aspect of consciousness.---------------In the latter half, master herbalist Sara Chana talked about the many herbal remedies to improve one's health and functioning. Once people learn how to include herbal medicine in their lives, they really can take care of the daily aches and pains, she explained. The spice cinnamon offers a number of health benefits, such as stabilizing blood pressure, and in clinical studies, it "can take care and get rid of salmonella and E. coli," she reported. For stress relief, she recommended skullcap, stating it calms without causing drowsiness. She also mentioned kava as a traditional relaxation aid, often used in the Philippines to ease tension during business meetings. Blue Vervain is another herb that has stress-reducing effects, she added.Chana highlighted the role of aromatherapy, stating that essential oils provide scents that "can create memories and shape your mood," including lavender, known for its calming effects. She described turmeric as "probably one of the biggest gifts we have on the planet," pointing out its anti-inflammatory properties and recommending it as a dietary staple. She also shared a unique herbal combination for memory preservation for those over 40, featuring rosemary, lion's mane, and gotu cola. The discussion also touched on medicinal vinegars, with Chana offering her recipe for "Fire Cider Vinegar," a concoction that harnesses the health benefits of garlic and onions.

Today on the show, I get to chat with Anastasia Wasko, a writer, editor, and psychospiritual guide from the NYC area who calls the Deep South her adopted home. She has a BA in Transpersonal Psychology from Sofia University (former Institute of Transpersonal Psychology) in Palo Alto, California and an MA in Psychosynthesis Psychology from The Institute of Psychosynthesis in London, England.Anastasia manages Planet Dust Enterprises, a visionary book publisher that produces multidimensional, co-creative, intellectually expansive works. The mission of Planet Dust Enterprises is to sow seeds of ideas and creative expression so they create an organic network of connection and support for individuals who are shifting consciousness. Her signature program Self Mastery supports individuals undergoing spiritual emergence and worldview change. She is also available for one on one psychospiritual guidance.Anastasia is the Associate Editor for Mindfield Bulletin, the official publication of the Parapsychological Association. She wrote about parapsychology and psychosynthesis for Paranormal Ruptures: Critical Approaches to Exceptional Experiences (edited by Dr Jacob Glazier) and released by Beyond The Fray Publishing in 2023.Anastasia's fiction and creative non-fiction writing have appeared in Space Cowboy's Simultaneous Times podcast, Thrive Global, and in Journal of Exceptional Experiences. Her debut work of autofiction SevenThirteen was self-published in 2003. Her subsequent autofiction Meta Work was released in 2021 and KiezKucker was released in 2024.Anastasia believes that imagination is among our most valuable assets in thinking beyond systems of oppression, environmental crises, and the collective loss of humanity. Imagination helps us remember who we are. Creative writing is medicine administered through the words (worlds) of others to illuminate, inspire, darken, reveal, and provide possible new realities for you to inhabit as you write your own story, reclaim agency, and shine freedom. Thinking “crazy” has been the bedrock of change in our society. Another word for it—usually when it has worked and we're speaking in hindsight—is vision.Today Anastasia shares her journey through spiritual emergence and how that's impacted her work and her life. Our conversation weaves through her journey to the south, her work there and beyond, imagination and mental health, and her focus on writing and its medicine. I hope you enjoy this conversation as much as I did!Today's show was engineered by Ian Seda from Radiokingston.org.Our show music is from Shana Falana!Feel free to email me, say hello: she@iwantwhatshehas.org** Please: SUBSCRIBE to the pod and leave a REVIEW wherever you are listening, it helps other users FIND IThttp://iwantwhatshehas.org/podcastITUNES | SPOTIFYITUNES: https://itunes.apple.com/us/podcast/i-want-what-she-has/id1451648361?mt=2SPOTIFY:https://open.spotify.com/show/77pmJwS2q9vTywz7Uhiyff?si=G2eYCjLjT3KltgdfA6XXCAFollow:INSTAGRAM * https://www.instagram.com/iwantwhatshehaspodcast/FACEBOOK * https://www.facebook.com/iwantwhatshehaspodcast
In this prize-winning essay for the 2021 Bigelow Institute for Consciousness Studies essay contest, Dr. Ruickbie examines the evidence for the survival of consciousness after death (“life after death”). Initially skeptical, he found that there was sufficient evidence from a wide variety of sources, including apparitions, reincarnation, near-death experiences, after-death communication, and premonitions, that met the contest's criteria of being “beyond reasonable doubt.”Such claims are often dismissed as contravening the laws of physics; however, Ruickbie takes the ground-breaking approach of organizing the evidence as eye-witness testimony to the "block" universe (in which past, present and future exist at the same time) described by Albert Einstein and Hermann Minkowski; and finds further support in the latest theories and findings of Quantum Physics for what Ruickbie calls “timetanglement” and “cloud consciousness.” Using a novel framework inspired by Charles Dickens, this is a readable and convincing account of a complex and highly debated subject.BioDr Leo Ruickbie, FRHistS, FRAI, ARPS, PhD (Lond), MA, BA (Hons), ACIQ, Associate of King's College London, is a Visiting Fellow in Psychology at the University of Northampton, where he is a member of the Exceptional Experiences and Consciousness Studies research group.Described as a ‘leading historian and sociologist of the paranormal' by the Daily Express newspaper (print) and ‘a leading expert on the paranormal‘ (express.co.uk online), Dr Ruickbie specialises in controversial areas of human belief and experience, sometimes called ‘exceptional human experiences'. A phrase coined by Rhea White in 1990, exceptional human experience is ‘an umbrella term for many types of experience generally considered to be psychic, mystical, encounter-type experiences, death-related experiences, and experiences at the upper end of the normal range, such as creative inspiration, exceptional human performance' (White, 1994:5).Dr Ruickbie is closely involved in the work of the Society for Psychical Research as a member of Council, former Editor of its Magazine and a member of its Spontaneous Cases Committee. Established in 1882, the Society for Psychical Research is the world's largest, oldest and most reputable organisation for the scientific study of what we now call ‘the paranormal'.He is also a Professional Member of the Parapsychological Association. Established in 1957, the Parapsychological Association is affiliated to the American Association for the Advancement of Science. In recognition of his contribution to scholarship sustained over the course of his career, Dr Ruickbie has been elected a Fellow of both the Royal Historical Society and the Royal Anthropological Institute.Dr Ruickbie's PhD is from King's College, London, for his thesis on contemporary witchcraft and magic use, building on research that won him an MA with distinction from Lancaster University. He is the author of several books, all based on rigorous research: Witchcraft Out of the Shadows (2004 and 2011), Faustus: The Life and Times of a Renaissance Magician (2009), A Brief Guide to the Supernatural (2012), A Brief Guide to Ghost Hunting (2013), The Impossible Zoo (2016) and Angels in the Trenches (2018); as well as numerous articles and chapters in scholarly publications.https://ruickbie.com/https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CRMN4D41/ https://www.pastliveshypnosis.co.uk/https://www.patreon.com/ourparanormalafterlife

I'm your host, Barnaby Jones, and today we have a very special guest joining us:Morgan Knudsen has been involved in the world of paranormal phenomenon for 20 years. Morgan is also a regular contributor to the number one magazine in the UK, HAUNTED MAGAZINE.Morgan can also be heard on her podcast, SUPERNATURAL CIRCUMSTANCES, with co-host/co-creator Mike Browne (Dark Poutine), which delves into the mysterious, the spiritual, and the fascinating things in our universe. My special guest tonight is Satki who works with people to rid themselves of entities that pick can pick up in various ways including sexually. Visit her website. Parapsychology Main article: Parapsychology Participant of a Ganzfeld experiment which proponents say may show evidence of telepathy. Experimental investigation of the paranormal has been conducted by parapsychologists. J. B. Rhine popularized the now famous methodology of using card-guessing and dice-rolling experiments in a laboratory in the hopes of finding evidence of extrasensory perception.[20] However, it was revealed that Rhine's experiments contained methodological flaws and procedural errors. In 1957, the Parapsychological Association was formed as the preeminent society for parapsychologists. In 1969, they became affiliated with the American Association for the Advancement of Science.[24] Criticisms of the field were focused in the creation (in 1976) of the Committee for the Scientific Investigation of Claims of the Paranormal (now called the Committee for Skeptical Inquiry) and its periodical, the Skeptical Inquirer.[25] Eventually, more mainstream scientists became critical of parapsychology as an endeavor, and statements by the National Academies of Science and the National Science Foundation cast a pall on the claims of evidence for parapsychology. Today, many cite parapsychology as an example of a pseudoscience. Parapsychology has been criticized for continuing investigation despite being unable to provide convincing evidence for the existence of any psychic phenomena after more than a century of research. By the 2000s, the status of paranormal research in the United States had greatly declined from its height in the 1970s, with the majority of work being privately funded and only a small amount of research being carried out in university laboratories. In 2007, Britain had a number of privately funded laboratories in university psychology departments.[30]Publication remained limited to a small number of niche journals.

He became known as “Remote Viewer No. 1" within Project Stargate. He is an author and also founder of Intuitive Intelligence Applications Inc. Today, he also teaches Remote Viewing at The Monroe Institute, a leading center in exploring human consciousness. During this introductory episode, we get exposed to some of Joe's military adventures from the Vietnam war – falling out of a helicopter, breaking his nose multiple times while under enemy fire and taping himself to the top of a tree for 14 hours. We learn about his recruitment into the then classified remote viewing intelligence program and the ensuing 40+ years as one of the worlds most accomplished remote viewers. Joe helps us understand what remote viewing is and what it isn't, the operationalization of the practice, using the skills to help police department and detectives across the US in missing children cases, the need to “unlearn your habits” and the uphill battle he's been fighting for a long time. This week's show is with Dr. Helané Wahbeh. Helané is the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University. Dr. Wahbeh is clinically trained as a naturopathic physician and research trained with a Master of Clinical Research and two post-doctoral research fellowships. Recently named President of the Parapsychological Association, she has published on and spoken internationally about her studies on complementary and alternative medicine, mind-body medicine, extended human capacities, stress, posttraumatic stress disorder, and their relationships to physiology, health, and healing. Dr. Wahbeh is especially known for her research around — and noetic approach to — channeling. She is the author of some 90+ peer-reviewed publications, the new book The Science of Channeling: Why You Should Trust Your Intuition and the Force That Connects Us All and Free To Be Me: A Journey of Transformation through Generational Healing. In this show, Helané and Lian explored the topics of telepathy, precognition, and intention - specifically through the lens of harnessing those abilities in the healing arts. Helané shared research on telephone telepathy, where people accurately guess who is calling them above chance, and the power of bringing focused positive intention to support others' health. They also spoke about the unique ways individuals express their intuitive wisdom - although these are abilities we can see in many humans, some do have a genetic propensity to be especially strong in certain abilities - and that's something we can train and hone too. We'd love to know what YOU think about this week's show. Let's carry on the conversation… please leave a comment below. What you'll learn from this episode: Telepathy is the communication of impressions from one mind to another that is independent of recognized channels of sense. Research shows that telephone telepathy is a common phenomenon, with people accurately guessing who is calling them above chance. Intention plays a significant role in healing and can be used to support others' health and well-being. The Noetic Signature explores the unique ways individuals express their intuitive gifts, but it's important to recognise that it seems that everyone has the capacity to tap into this wisdom. Using focused positive intention can influence the physical world and contribute to creating a world of peace, love, and freedom for all. Joining me is spiritual counselor and parapsychologist, Mary Grace. Years ago Mary was in a desperate state when suddenly a brush with death (caused by exhaustion, illness and drug use) altered her relationship with herself, reality as she knew it, and her Higher Power. This transformational experience saved her life. Beginning with messages from her deceased mother, Mary says she learned how to read the signs of contact from our passed loved ones, and actively helps others to communicate with the other side. https://giftsofgraceministry.org/Mary Grace is the founder of Gifts of Grace Ministry. She presents educational workshops and lectures nationally on paranormal, supernatural, mystical, and near-death phenomena. She provides a unique perspective on spirituality by integrating parapsychology with Christian Theology, Spiritualism, Mysticism, and Catholicism. In 2001, Mary Grace had a near-death experience that profoundly changed her life and set her on the spiritual path. Mary says, everyone can stay connected with loved ones in heaven, because love never dies. Mary Grace holds a B.A. in psychology and sociology from the State University of New York at Geneseo where she also studied parapsychology. She is a member of the Parapsychological Association, the International Association of Near-Death Studies, and the Institute of Noetic Sciences. She is also the founder of the Finger Lakes UFO Meetup and a member of the Rochester and Buffalo UFO Groups.PLEASE HELP THE CHANNEL GROW • SUBSCRIBE, like, comment, and click the Notification Bell so you don't miss a show. Welcome back to Behind Greatness. We are joined by Helané Wahbeh from her home on the US West Coast. Helané acts as the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences (IONS), which was founded by astronaut Edgar Mitchell 50 years ago. Mitchell was an engineer and had a mystical experience while he was in space and decided to found this Institute to spend time exploring and finding evidence of the reality of consciousness. This is her playground. And, she's also the President of the Parapsychological Association. She talks to us about the importance of the “Noetic handshake” – the marrying of science and of inner knowing, which forms the impetus of her studies and her being. She explains how she was motivated more than ever to “know what she doesn't know” after she was told not to scientifically explore themes on a research project that she was advancing as a young scientist. We also discuss her upbringing with people who were not afraid to explore the mystical and her personal commitment to meditation and trance-channelling. Helané lets us know that we may all be in the “channelling closet” and that our capacities are more expansive than we think. Bringing your fullness. Dr. Helané Wahbeh is part clinical researcher and part intuitive. When she went to a channeling at her grandparent's house at the age of 10, she connected with the intuitive side of herself. Named after her great grandmother who was a midwife and healer, Helané's intrinsic desire to learn about health and healing let her to become a naturopathic physician. After a few years of private practice, something called her back to research where she studied mindfulness meditation in combat veterans with PTSD. Through her interviews with these veterans, she was hit with all this “other” information she couldn't talk about in meetings. “Everyone has the capacity to channel in one way or another, but the way it shows up for them is unique.” --Dr. Helané Wahbeh Feeling split between her researcher work self and intuitive personal self, Helané sought a way to bring those two sides together. Naturally, a few synchronistic events led her in that direction. Today she is the Director of Research at the Institute of Noetic Sciences which studies interconnectedness through science and direct experience. She is also an adjunct assistant professor in the Department of Neurology at Oregon Health & Science University and president of the Parapsychological Association. Join me for an enlightening conversation with Helané about intuition, channeling, quantum physics, meditation and more. Discover the science and techniques that will help you become a better channeler Many people who try channeling for the first time quickly find themselves frustrated or confused, not understanding why they're not getting anywhere. Add to it the fact that most channelers struggle with connecting on a regular basis and you've got a problem on your hands. I'm sure you can see how powerful and effective channeling would be if you could use it to be more successful in your life. It could be the key to success, and you're just sitting there, discouraged because this one thing is holding you back. Our guest today has vigorously researched and studied the mechanics of channeling. Once, in every lifetime, you encounter a legend in their field. Even rarer, you encounter a legend in multiple ones. Even more anomalous, you encounter a podcast guest that Greg doesn't want jokes written about in the show description because of how LEGENDARY and IMPORTANT this person really is. Dr. Stanley Krippner is that man. Here's his bio, as written on the Institute of Noetic Sciences website: "Stanley Krippner, Ph.D., is the Alan Watts Professor of Psychology, Saybrook University, Pasadena, CA. and the former Director of the Dream Laboratory, Maimonides Medical Center, Brooklyn, NY. He has received lifetime achievement awards from the Parapsychological Association, the International Association for the Study of Dreams, and the Society for Humanistic Psychology. He is the past president of all three groups as well as the Society for Psychological Hypnosis which awarded him its 2002 Award for Distinguished Contributions to Professional Hypnosis. Krippner is a Fellow of the Society for the Scientific Study of Religion, the Society for the Scientific Study of Sexuality, and five divisions of the American Psychological Association, which granted him its 2002 Award for Distinguished Contributions to the International Development of Psychology. In this episode we have the challenging job of getting our head around the psychology of altered states of consciousness or ‘exceptional human experiences' as today's specialist calls them. Are they mere illusions of the mind? Does their ability to radically change our world view and sense of meaning in the world give them a special status in psychology and mental health? And how do we talk scientifically about significant similarities between such experiences across different times and cultures that appear to imply the existence of an alternative kind of ‘reality' what ever ‘reality' is. Fortunately, to navigate this bag of worms, we have a researcher who has devoted his career to the study of these experiences both psychedelic and other, Dr. David Luke. David Luke is currently a module leader of the Psychology of Exceptional Human Experience in Greenwich Universities Psychology and Counselling Department, a course he has been running since 2009. He is also currently an Honorary Senior Lecturer for the Centre for Psychedelic Research, Division of Brain Sciences, Imperial College London. He was President of the Parapsychological Association between 2009 and 2011, and received the Faculty's first Inspirational Teaching Award (2016) from the University of Greenwich. He is a prolific author and editor of books, and today we'll be discussing his 2017 book ‘Otherworlds: Psychedelics and exceptional human experiences' and his new book, a collections of essays he has edited called ‘DMT Entity Encounters: Dialogues on the Spirit Molecule' He is also the co-founder of the Breaking Convention Conference on Psychedelics. What we discuss in this episode: 00:00 Intro 04:20 Measuring subjective qualitative experiences 11:45 The different types of altered states of consciousness 18:00 Reduced activity in the DMN (Default Mode Network) during alternate states of consciousness, but increased brain region connectivity 21:30 Evaluating mystical experiences psychologically 33:00 The connection between psychedelics and telepathy 57:00 Psychonautics - trying to map psychedelic realms and types of beings encountered and much much more (full show notes here) References: William James - Radical Empiricism During Altered states there is a reduced activity in the DMN but increased brain region connectivity Johns Hopkins and NYU studies - Intensity of mystical experience correlation with positive clinical outcomes. %50 drop in atheism among DMT experiencers Stephen Szára - first DMT experiments in 1950's Charles Laughlin - Polyphasic culture and transpersonal anthropology Medicalisation and Reciprocity Specialists Symposium
