The #1 cause of heart disease is not what you think! Find out about the biggest cause of heart disease and what you can do to turn things around. In this video, I'll share some key tips to help reduce your risk of heart problems. 0:00 Introduction: What causes heart disease?0:31 Insulin resistance and heart disease 1:04 Signs of insulin resistance 1:45 What causes insulin resistance?3:57 The root cause of heart disease4:13 How to lower your risk of cardiovascular disease Visceral fat around the heart covers your arteries and heart muscle. Inflammation from this fat goes directly into the heart before any other place in the body!Insulin is a major contributor to visceral fat accumulation around the heart. When insulin is high, your body stores fat, and you gain weight. When it's low, you lose weight, especially visceral fat surrounding the heart. When you have insulin resistance, your insulin receptors no longer accept insulin. If you have insulin resistance, you may notice the following symptoms:•Waist circumference greater than 40 inches in men and 35 inches in women•Skin tags or darkened armpits or groin area•High triglycerides or low HDL •Difficulty losing weight•Difficulty going for long periods without a mealInsulin resistance can be caused by high-carb, high-sugar diets, stress, and chronic sleep problems. Seed oil consumption is one of the greatest contributors to insulin resistance. Industrial seed oils are highly processed with high heat and chemicals like hexane. Seed oils remain in your cells for over a year, which can damage the insulin receptor on the surface of the cells. The average person gets 25 to 30 percent of their calories from seed oils!Keto can help reverse insulin resistance, but you must do Healthy Keto® with higher-quality ingredients. Use healthy fats such as butter, tallow, and coconut oil, rather than seed oils. The biggest cause of heart disease is epicardial fat (fat deposits around the heart), which is caused by consuming sugar, starch, and seed oils—the main components of ultra-processed foods. To eliminate epicardial fat and reduce your risk of cardiovascular disease, there are a few things that you can do:•Eliminate seed oils and replace them with healthy oils•Follow a Healthy Keto diet •Do intermittent fasting and have two meals per day, without snacks•Cold therapy •Consume apple cider vinegar in a glass of water a few times per day•Consume berberine Dr. Eric Berg DC Bio:Dr. Berg, age 60, is a chiropractor who specializes in Healthy Ketosis & Intermittent Fasting. Attempting to address urination frequency by treating an enlarged prostate is not the best solution! Frequent urination is often blamed on an enlarged prostate, UTIs, or kidney stones, but there's a much more common root cause. The most common cause of frequent urination at night is too much insulin in your blood. Insulin resistance is a condition where your insulin receptors no longer accept insulin. To compensate, the pancreas produces more insulin. This is why many diabetics have a problem with urinary frequency at night. When blood sugar is high, the kidneys remove the sugar from the blood to eliminate it from the body. This increases urination frequency. Insulin resistance causes an overactive bladder, even if your blood sugar is normal. Increased urinary frequency at night is an early sign of insulin resistance, which is a precursor to diabetes. Insulin resistance increases stress on the kidneys, which is why diabetes is the leading cause of kidney disease. Insulin resistance can also cause electrolyte imbalances, blood pressure changes at night, and increased cortisol.Snacking at night is the single most significant cause of frequent urination at night. Eliminate all snacks and beverages after dinner to decrease urination frequency at night. Snacking at night can also cause bloating and interrupted sleep. A low-salt diet can also increase urination frequency at night. If you think your nocturia is due to low salt, add more sea salt to your meals throughout the day.A low-carb diet can help reduce nocturia symptoms. Keep your carb consumption under 30 grams per day. Healthy Keto® can combat insulin resistance, improve your health, and reduce frequent urination at night. Intermittent fasting is equally important in reversing insulin resistance. Aim for 3 meals with no snacks, eventually dropping down to 2 meals each day. Ending nocturia will significantly enhance your sleep, which is vital for your heart, blood sugar, stress levels, energy, cognitive function, and more. Don't forget to get plenty of vitamin D with magnesium.

Today, I'm going to share some of the not-so-common reasons why you might be struggling to lose weight. Insulin is at the heart of a slow metabolism. Insulin is triggered by sugar and other foods that act as sugar in the body. Ultra-processed foods like chips and Cheez-Its have 0 sugars but contain carbs with very little fiber. They also contain starches—strings of sugars connected together. Starches act like sugar in the body, but worse! They are higher on the glycemic index, so they cause a higher blood sugar spike than sugar. Seed oils can also cause problems with insulin, affecting weight loss. Stress and lack of sleep can also affect weight loss. So, how do you fix an insulin problem? •Reduce sugar and starch consumption •Stop snacking •Exercise •Get more sleep It takes 24-48 hours to get into ketosis. If you have a glass of wine one night and then just one piece of bread the next, you are not going to be in ketosis. Sometimes, your eating plan is working, and you just don't know it yet. If your hunger is gone and your energy levels are high, your diet is working; you just need to give it more time. Overtraining, poor sleep quality, and certain medications can also interfere with weight loss. The following natural solutions can help reduce insulin and boost weight loss: •Berberine •Apple cider vinegar (ACV)–1 tablespoon in a glass of water •Vitamin D–10,000 IU or a half hour of sunlight daily •Healthy Keto diet with intermittent fasting Once you've adjusted to 16-hour fasting and an 8-hour eating window, try switching to an 18-hour fasting window with a 6-hour eating window. You can even work up to 23 hours of fasting with a 1-hour eating window to boost weight loss. Dry fasting can also speed up weight loss. Don't eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset for 12 hours of dry fasting. When your diet is filled with processed foods and lacking essential nutrients, it can lead to constipation. The most common type of constipation is primary constipation, in which constipation is the primary issue rather than being caused by a tumor or obstruction. The first line of treatment for constipation like this is often a petroleum-based medication called polyethylene glycol, but it can cause other problems. Microbes are vital in breaking down fiber and supporting healthy digestion. When our diet lacks these beneficial microbes, it can lead to problems such as bloating, cramping, and constipation. The first step is to practice intermittent fasting by eating only two meals daily with no snacks. This gives the digestive system a chance to rest and catch up. The second step is fixing your diet by simplifying meals and avoiding processed and refined foods. This also includes incorporating grass-fed meat, fermented foods, including sauerkraut, to provide beneficial microbes for a healthy gut. Following a Healthy Keto® diet is also beneficial. The third step is supplementing with betaine hydrochloride to increase stomach acid and improve digestion. This can also help alleviate constipation by lubricating the colon with bile. In addition to these steps, consuming plants raised on healthy soils can provide essential nutrients and beneficial microbes for a healthy gut. Magnesium and vitamin B1 can help promote regular bowel movements. Castor oil and senna are also good natural remedies for constipation. Today, we're going to talk about the best natural things to do for difficulty breathing, air hunger, or dyspnea. Traditionally, people may have heard of this symptom being caused by asthma, pneumonia, COPD, lung infection, anemia, or a heart condition. But what if you rule these conditions out and still have problems breathing? This is called pseudo-dyspnea. With pseudo-dyspnea, you may feel better with exercise and worse with rest. Top causes of pseudo-dyspnea (difficulty breathing) and natural remedies: 1. Silent reflux Natural solutions: • Chlorophyll • Wheatgrass juice powder • Betaine hydrochloride (if there isn't irritation to the gut or esophagus) • Apple cider vinegar diluted in water and consumed through a straw (if there isn't irritation to the gut or esophagus) 2. I've done a lot of videos on cortisol, especially as it relates to the adrenal body type or adrenal glands. But I haven't done a video on the foods that lower cortisol. That's what we're going to talk about today. Of course, there are a lot of benefits to reducing cortisol, but we're not going to get into that today. Instead, I want to cover the foods that can help you lower cortisol naturally. Cortisol adapts the body to a stress state. It's important to note that the body doesn't know the difference between mental stress and physical stress. A high level of sugar in your blood affects cortisol and adrenaline. In other words, consuming sugar, refined carbs, and starches keeps you in stress mode. On the flip side, the Healthy Keto® diet and intermittent fasting help lower cortisol and promote a sense of calm. The best foods to lower cortisol and stress: 1. Egg yolks 2. Organ meats 3. Nutritional yeast or sunflower seeds 4. Dark leafy green vegetables 5. Salmon and other fatty fish 6. Today, I'm going to cover the best keto foods to keep in your refrigerator. This will not only make keto easy but also healthy. The ketogenic diet is a low-carb diet. But that's not enough to necessarily make it healthy. For example, if you're on the keto diet, you could still go to a fast food restaurant without going off the plan. That's why I like the Healthy Keto diet, which focuses on high-quality, nutrient-dense, low-carb foods. Ultra-processed foods are very quickly replacing our traditional foods. These foods have been severely altered to the point they don't resemble food anymore. The go-to foods you should always have in your home on keto are not only low-carb, but they're the opposite of ultra-processed. The best keto foods to keep in your home: 1. Grass-fed meats 2. Pasture-raised organic eggs 3. Soil-based vegetables and lettuce 4. Homemade salad dressings 5. Grass-fed butter 6. Grass-fed organic cheese (raw if possible) 7. Avocados 8. Organic berries 9. Wild-caught salmon, sardines, and other fatty fish 10. Shellfish 11. Organic walnuts and pecans 12. Organic Valencia peanut butter 13. Organic celery 14. Raw sauerkraut 15. Organic low-sugar bacon

Let's talk about the best ways to increase growth hormone, especially as you age. In adults, growth hormone is crucial for muscle building and fat burning. It's also important for building tendons, ligaments, collagen, joints, and bones. However, growth hormone dramatically decreases with age. Side effects of a deficiency in growth hormone can include: • Difficulty building muscle • Cognitive issues • Lowered mood • Higher levels of LDL • Hair loss • Insomnia Here are the top things that can block growth hormone: • Insomnia • Sleep apnea • High blood sugar • High insulin • Chronic stress • Liver problems The pituitary gland produces growth hormone. Instead of replacing the hormone with a synthetic version, why don't we support the gland that makes growth hormone? How to increase growth hormone naturally: 1. Try Pituitrophin PMG from Standard Process 2. Do intense exercise 3. Take milk thistle (if you have a liver problem) 4. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet 5. Do cold immersion therapy 6. Do heat therapy 7. Do intermittent fasting Some people find their muscles look flat or dehydrated after getting on keto. In this situation, it's important to drink plenty of water with electrolytes, especially potassium and sodium. This will help keep the muscles hydrated. You could also try increasing your carbs to 50 grams per day by consuming foods like berries but still avoiding refined carbs and sugar.

Let's talk about why it's so difficult for some people to lose weight and keep it off. Dieting is similar to famine. If you have difficulty losing weight because you've dieted for many years, your body is likely compensating for survival purposes. You don't have a slow metabolism—you have an enhanced metabolic efficiency. Once you understand the right problem, you can attack it with a better solution. People who restrict calories are more susceptible to nutrient deficiencies, which can affect their hormones. Your body can also adapt to lower amounts of calories, causing it to burn less fat, making it harder to lose weight. Intermittent fasting differs from calorie restriction for a few reasons. When done correctly, you have less hunger and fewer cravings with intermittent fasting. Intermittent fasting also has unique health benefits that you can't get with a calorie-restrictive diet. It's important to do the Healthy Keto® diet along with intermittent fasting so you don't create imbalances in the body. You also adapt your body to run on ketones when you do intermittent fasting. This is a situation where you're burning your own fat. Even though you might indirectly reduce your calories by consuming fewer meals, your body still burns fat fuel. If you do calorie restriction without going low-carb, you could easily find yourself in a situation where you can't tap into your fat. Instead, you may tap into your muscles because your carbs and insulin are too high. If you have high insulin, you can't burn fat. I don't consider the Healthy Keto plan and intermittent fasting a diet because you can easily do this long-term. This is a lifestyle change that doesn't even feel like a diet. Healthy Keto and intermittent fasting have incredible benefits to support your health and weight loss. But, if you find it difficult to do the Healthy Keto diet, you may want to try the metabolic confusion diet for a little while until you feel ready to take on the Healthy Keto diet with intermittent fasting.

Let's talk about Mounjaro. Mounjaro is a similar medication to Ozempic®, but some studies show it may work better. Both of these medications are primarily used for regulating blood sugar levels but have also been found to help with weight loss. Anything that helps improve blood sugar levels will help you lose weight. Potential benefits of Mounjaro include supporting healthy blood sugar levels and weight loss and improving insulin resistance and A1C. Mounjaro may work, but it's very expensive and can have serious side effects. Mounjaro also doesn't correct the root cause of blood sugar problems or weight gain. You have to keep taking the medication for it to work. While long-term side effects are unknown, short-term side effects of Mounjaro may include: • Nausea • Vomiting • Diarrhea • Constipation • Gastroparesis • Abdominal pain • Dizziness • Lethargy • Low blood sugar • Kidney disease • Retinopathy There are fantastic natural alternatives to Mounjaro that you can take advantage of long-term. Overall, this is a healthy lifestyle change instead of a short-term, very expensive drug approach. The best natural alternatives to Mounjaro: 1. Berberine 2. Curcumin 3. Cinnamon 4. Panax ginseng 5. Today I'm going to share the best remedies for acne. When a person has acne, multiple things are happening at once. The oil glands are called sebaceous glands—they make oil or sebum. Usually, the sebaceous glands are inflamed, enlarged, and producing too much oil. Typically, bacteria are also involved, affecting the immune system and creating more inflammation. One of the biggest causes of acne is a shift in hormones. But, a high-carb diet and frequent eating can also cause acne. It's essential to get on a low-carb diet and do intermittent fasting to help get rid of acne fast. Another one of the top acne causes is a deficiency in vitamin D. Vitamin D can regulate bacteria involved in acne—it's a potent antibacterial. If you're deficient in vitamin D, you won't be able to control acne-causing microbes. Vitamin D also supports the sebaceous glands to help reduce swelling of the glands and oil production. The best natural remedies for acne: 1. Take vitamin D3 (20,000 IU) 2. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet 3. Do intermittent fasting 4. Stop scrubbing your skin 5. Consume cod liver oil 6. Consume fatty fish

Today I'm going to reveal how problems with the gallbladder could be related to the thyroid. Bile contains bile salts, lecithin, bilirubin, protein, and cholesterol. If a person has too much cholesterol and not enough bile salts, they could develop gallstones. However, cholesterol is necessary to help you make bile, hormones, and vitamin D. The body makes the majority of cholesterol in the body. The liver makes bile. Bile helps eliminate excess cholesterol and certain toxins. It also helps break down fats and supports the absorption of fat-soluble vitamins and fatty acids. A person with hypothyroidism or a subclinical hyperthyroid issue has an increased risk of gallstones. Many different connections cause this increased risk, but overall, it takes a healthy thyroid to make enough bile and bile to create a healthy thyroid. Ultimately, I believe a lack of fat and cholesterol in the diet can increase your risk of gallstones and hypothyroidism from multiple angles. The Healthy Keto® diet can help supply the fats and important vitamins and minerals your body needs. Learn more about Healthy Keto in my other videos.

Today I want to cover some important information on reducing the side effects of medications. Phase 1 and phase 2 enzymes are groups of enzymes that help break down medications and toxins in the liver. These enzymes turn medications and toxins into harmless water-soluble particles that can be eliminated through the body. If this enzyme system isn't working, you could experience more side effects from medications. Your medications may also not be as effective as they should be. Certain things can decrease the function of phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification, including: • DNA mutations • Liver problems • Consuming grapefruit • Certain medications How to support phase 1 and phase 2 detoxification: 1. Consume cruciferous vegetables, allium vegetables, sulforaphane, or DIM 2. Do fasting 3. Reduce exposure to toxins 4. Strengthen the liver (do Healthy Keto® and take milk thistle) 5. Today we're going to talk about the best remedies for candida. A good portion of the microbes in your gut are fungi, and candida is one type of fungi. Friendly fungi support the body in many different ways. It's not until we change the environment that our friendly bacteria and fungi live in that they can become a problem. For example, one of the biggest side effects of antibiotics is candida overgrowth. If the ratio of candida to bacteria is incorrect, this can lead to health issues. But bacteria release certain things to help keep candida in check. If candida does turn unfriendly, you need to know what you can do. One important thing to remember to support a healthy microbiome is to take probiotics if you have to take antibiotics. The best candida home remedies: 1. Take a probiotic and consume probiotic foods 2. Avoid sugar and dairy 3. Avoid carbs (do Healthy Keto®) 4. Avoid sugar alcohols 5. Consume capric acid (coconut oil or MCT oil) 6. Consume vegetable fiber 7. Consume natural herbal antibiotics (garlic, oregano oil, thyme, sage, or turmeric)

Today I'm going to share why eating in moderation is bad diet advice. This idea involves avoiding extremes and consuming a balanced diet with reasonable amounts of various foods. However, some of the foods you are allowed to consume, even in moderation, can destroy your health. Why eating everything in moderation doesn't work for weight loss or creating a healthy body: 1. The carbs aren't low enough (moderation is subjective) 2. Many people have insulin resistance 3. It doesn't consider genetics 4. It includes addictive foods 5. It includes refined foods 6. Eating stimulates insulin The best way to burn fat and create a healthy body is to consume 50 grams or less of carbs per day. Doing this will also eliminate hunger and cravings, making it easier to stay on track with a diet plan. The Healthy Keto® diet is a low-carb diet plan that focuses on nutritious, quality ingredients and getting healthy to lose weight. Learn more about the ketogenic diet in my other videos.

Today I want to share some important information for those of you who experience seizures. Common triggers of seizures: • Fever • Head injury • Brain infection • Choking • Alcohol • Drug withdrawal • Extremely low blood sugar • Drugs • Toxins • Stress • High blood pressure Data shows that keto is effective in eliminating seizures by a factor of 50 to 70 percent. But it's important to be on the healthy version of the ketogenic diet. The keto diet for epilepsy also includes more fat than protein. Ketones are a byproduct of fat. Fat and ketones are the primary fuel source that our bodies should run on—not glucose. It's also the preferred fuel source of the brain. Top potential benefits of ketones for seizures: • They have anticonvulsant properties • They stabilize the excitability of the neurons • They modulate neurotransmitters • They support the brain, including the hippocampus • They increase the hippocampus's mitochondrial biogenesis • They protect the brain and neurons against oxidative stress • They increase the ATP in the neurons to allow them to function better In my opinion, one of the best natural alternative options for seizures is to get on the Healthy Keto® diet. Natural ways to potentially help prevent seizures: 1. Get on the Healthy Keto diet 2. Start intermittent fasting 3. Take ketones 4. Consume foods higher in fat with moderate protein 5. Today I want to share something about insulin that you may have never heard before and clear up some confusion regarding insulin. The main reason why the keto diet and intermittent fasting work so well to support a healthy body is that they both help lower insulin. However, insulin has certain benefits. This is where the confusion starts. How can insulin be harmful and also have health benefits? Potential health benefits of insulin: • It helps lower blood sugar levels • It supports muscle growth • It protects against muscle atrophy • It supports the arteries • It helps lower LDL cholesterol • It helps lower blood pressure • It lowers the production of glucose in the liver • It supports the absorption of potassium and magnesium • It suppresses lipolysis • It is a potent anti-inflammatory • It has antioxidant properties • Insulin nasal spray is used to help people who have dementia • It helps increases testosterone • It helps lower uric acid The real problem is with the insulin receptors. When the receptors become resistant, as in insulin resistance, we lose the function of insulin. When someone has insulin resistance, they actually have an insulin deficiency. You may have excess insulin in your blood, but it's not affecting the receptors. A high level of insulin is what creates insulin resistance. The more you increase insulin, the less the receptors will work. The best ways to fix insulin resistance: 1. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet 2. Start doing intermittent fasting 3. Get regular exercise 4. Reduce your stress 5. Get plenty of sleep The best natural remedies for insulin resistance: • Apple cider vinegar (1 Tbsp in water) • Berberine • Cinnamon • Chromium • Zinc • Vitamin D • Magnesium • Potassium • Omega-3 fatty acids DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/14986... https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/arti...

Today we're going to talk about the best diet for familial hypercholesterolemia. With this condition, a person has 50 percent of the LDL receptors than usual, which means they have a higher risk of a buildup of LDL. The top signs of familial hypercholesterolemia are fat deposits on the Achilles tendons, wrists, or eyelids and a condition called arcus senilis, which is whitening around the iris. Key points from an important study: • The current dietary guidelines for the management of coronary heart disease in familial hypercholesterolemia are based on outdated and unsupported information. • There's no evidence to support the recommendations of consuming a low saturated fat diet or low cholesterol diet, which are given to individuals with a genetic cholesterol problem. • A low-carb diet was found to significantly improve cardiovascular disease biomarkers. • There is sufficient rationale for conducting clinical trials to assess the effects of a low-carb diet on familial hypercholesterolemia individuals with insulin resistance. It may be good to question if lowering the cholesterol and saturated fats in your diet is the best strategy to focus on. But talk to your doctor before making any changes to your diet or medications. In my opinion, people with high cholesterol should focus more on lowering their carbs rather than saturated fat or cholesterol. Natural remedies for cholesterol problems: 1. Today we're going to talk about how to protect your kidneys. The kidneys can take a beating and can even regenerate. They are composed of roughly one million tiny filters, which filter your blood. But as you age, you start losing these filters—so it becomes even more important to start eating better and decrease exposure to toxins. The two worst things for your kidneys are sugar and oxalates. It's crucial to stop consuming sugar and high-carb foods and to start limiting your exposure to high-oxalate foods. However, consuming cheese or dairy with foods that are high in oxalates, but are otherwise healthy, can help counter kidney damage from oxalates. Foods high in oxalates: • Almonds • Spinach • Beet tops • Peanuts • Grains • Beans • Sweet potatoes • Cassava • Tapioca • Kiwi • Chocolate • Swiss chard • Turmeric • Cinnamon • Clove The best ways to protect your kidneys: 1. Consume lemon water every morning 2. Consume apple cider vinegar mixed in water 3. Consume 2.5 liters of water a day 4. Avoid high-oxalate foods or add dairy to high-oxalate foods 5. Prolonged fasting is very beneficial to support a healthy body. However, there is one aspect of prolonged fasting that can be dangerous, and that's what we're going to cover today. Prolonged fasting is when you fast for three or more days. The biggest danger of prolonged fasting is called refeeding syndrome. This can happen if a person consumes too much of the wrong foods too fast after coming off of a prolonged fast. Rare complications of refeeding syndrome can include coma, seizures, convulsions, and death. Refeeding syndrome typically involves malnutrition. Certain conditions cause a higher risk of refeeding syndrome, such as: • Eating disorders • Alcoholism • Type 1 diabetes • Starvation However, the risk of refeeding syndrome is low if you aren't malnourished going into a prolonged fast. As a bare minimum, when you start any type of fasting, you need to take electrolytes and B vitamins. How to come off of a prolonged fast: 1. Consume foods that align with Healthy Keto® 2. Today I'm going to share the best strategies to stop overeating. Overeating creates strain on your digestive system. One of the best ways to stop overeating is to get rid of your appetite and cravings. The way to do that is to get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting. When you do Healthy Keto, you're consuming high-quality, nutrient-dense foods that satisfy the body. On the healthy version of the ketogenic diet, you're also consuming low-carb foods, which help reduce hunger in-between meals. When you do intermittent fasting, your stomach changes because you're not eating as frequently—the amount of food you eat is going to be less, but it will be a lot more satisfying. Many different things can cause cravings. You never want to ask what you're in the mood to eat. Instead, it's important to be in tune with your body and ask yourself what you should eat to make your body healthier. There are also many different things that can lead to overeating. For example, certain restaurants have portions that are way too big. We also have hunger hormones that increase appetite and are triggered by various things. Top triggers of hunger hormones: • Lack of sleep • Stress • Refined carbs • Large amounts of protein • MSG • Artificial sweeteners Top causes of overeating: • Bile deficiency • Low-fat diets • Junk foods • Lack of energy • Boredom • Pregnancy • Pain • Being overweight • Insulin resistance • Metabolic syndrome • Diabetes Leptin is a hormone that is supposed to keep your hunger satisfied. Here are the best ways to increase leptin: • Get plenty of sleep • Lower your stress • Get regular exercise or physical activity • Add more fiber to your diet • Do fasting • Consume omega-3 fatty acids • Consume green tea • Consume probiotics and fermented foods • Consume nutrient-dense foods Tips to stop overeating: 1. Get on the Healthy Keto diet 2. Do fasting 3. Eat your vegetables first 4. Before eating a meal, determine what you're going to eat and how much you're going to eat 5. Chew your food longer 6. Today, we're going to talk about the warning signs of a fatty liver and what to do for a fatty liver. There really is no “first sign” of a fatty liver. When you first start developing a fatty liver, there are no symptoms at all. It's important to be aware of this because many people have a fatty liver and don't even know it. People will start to notice signs once the condition has progressed. Signs of a fatty liver: • A protruding mid-section • Insulin resistance Fifty-nine percent of the fat in your liver originates from outside your liver—it's fat from other places in your body that end up in the liver. Twenty-six percent of fat in the liver comes from the liver itself. The liver makes fat from glucose, and insulin is supposed to stop this process. But, because of dysfunctional fat and insulin resistance, the liver is making sugar uncontrollably. The third source of fat in the liver is dietary fat from consuming sugar. I believe the top cause of a fatty liver is a high-carb diet. The good news is that the liver is the only organ that can completely regenerate. However, there is a point of no return, so it's time to act now. Natural things to do for a fatty liver: 1. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting 2. Exercise regularly 3. Today we're going to talk about the #1 vitamin deficiency behind bladder issues: vitamin B1 deficiency. A vitamin B1 deficiency could lead to problems, including: • Leaky bladder • Incomplete urination • Frequent urination • Getting up in the middle of the night to urinate The common thread behind these bladder issues is actually a problem with the nervous system. The main control with urine elimination stems from the brain, and this part of the brain is very sensitive to a vitamin B1 (thiamine) deficiency. A thiamine deficiency in the brain can even starve off certain neurons, causing a lack of function. The part of the brain that controls the bladder can shrink, leading to a loss of control of the bladder. This situation is common with age and in those with diabetes, prediabetes, or chronic insulin resistance. Natural tips to get rid of bladder issues: 1. Take vitamin B1 (benfotiamine and natural B1) 2. Get on the Healthy Keto® diet and do intermittent fasting 3. Drink 2.5 liters of fluid a day (not past 6 pm or 7 pm) 4. There is an interesting predictor of a heart attack that you can look for right now. Go to the mirror and look for a crease on your ear lobe, starting where the hole is and coming out 45 degrees. Coronary artery disease or cardiovascular disease causes you to lose blood flow to the heart muscle. A chronic lack of blood flow to the heart causes the loss of circulation in the peripheral parts of the body first, like the ear lobes. Without this blood supply to the ear lobes, you can develop this crease. This crease shows up in about 71% of people with heart disease. However, it has also been found to appear in other health conditions like diabetes and high blood pressure. People who smoke may also notice this crease, but it's most commonly seen in people with heart problems. It's important to act now to support a healthy heart: 1. Today we're going to look at the interesting similarities between gout and kidney stones and natural alternatives for these concerns. Oxalates are involved in both kidney stones and gout. People who have high oxalates in their urine tend to have a worsening gout situation, and the most common type of kidney stones are calcium oxalate stones. Top foods high in oxalates: • Spinach • Rhubarb • Almonds • Chocolate • Cacao • Buckwheat • Wheat • Beans • Soy • Tofu • Miso • Potato chips • French fries • Beet tops • Swiss chard • Star fruit • Raspberries • Black pepper • Black tea Nuts high in oxalates: • Almonds • Brazil nuts • Hazelnuts • Cashews • Pine nuts Nuts low in oxalates: • Coconuts • Peanuts • Pistachios • Macadamia nuts • Walnuts Something else that can increase oxalates is consuming excess ascorbic acid or glycine. Fat malabsorption due to a bile deficiency can also cause an increase in oxalates. If you're prone to kidney stones or gout, you may also want to avoid consuming xylitol. Some people develop gout as they age due to an increase in iron and inflammation. If you're in this situation, you might want to try reducing the amount of iron you consume and work on lowering your inflammation. How to neutralize oxalates: 1. Today I'm going to cover the #1 remedy for heartburn, GERD, and acid reflux. We're told that the cause of acid reflux, heartburn, and GERD is too much acid. But, I've found that rather than the overproduction of acid, these issues are typically caused by an underproduction of acid. Two main conditions cause low stomach acid: hypochlorhydria and achlorhydria. Symptoms of both these conditions include acid reflux, heartburn, and GERD. Hydrochloric acid is there to help you break down food, absorb minerals and vitamins, and protect against pathogens. A deficiency in hydrochloric acid can lead to a myriad of health concerns. One of the side effects of antacids or other acid-suppressing medications is a loss of stomach acid. This can temporarily cause someone to feel better but can lead to other health issues. Top causes of low stomach acid: • Hypothyroidism • Poor diet • A suppressed immune system • Antacids • Low-salt diets • Potassium deficiency • Zinc deficiency • Iodine deficiency • Eating too frequently Betaine hydrochloride is the best natural remedy for heartburn, GERD, and acid reflux. However, you shouldn't take it if you have an ulcer, and don't take betaine hydrochloride on an empty stomach. Consuming the Healthy Keto diet® and doing intermittent fasting may also be beneficial. Let's talk about how to flatten your belly fast. Crunches are not the secret to six-pack abs. To get flat abs and avoid poor posture or back pain at the same time, you need to balance exercises like crunches with other types of exercise, like back exercises. Two of the best types of exercises for belly fat are long walks or hikes and high-intensity interval training (HIIT). While exercise is important, diet is more critical when it comes to losing belly fat. The best fat-burning diet is the Healthy Keto® diet. This is a combination of high-quality protein, low-starch vegetables, and other nutrient-dense, low-carb foods. Intermittent fasting is also beneficial to help you lose weight and get healthy. You may want to add more fat to your diet initially to help you fast for longer periods. But, once you become adapted and start losing fat, you may want to cut back the fat you consume. You can take certain remedies for fat-burning, but realize these won't work unless you also change your diet. A few of the best fat-burning supplements include: • Garcinia Cambogia • Raspberry ketones • Green tea extract • Caffeine • Chili pepper extract In some cases, you might mistake bloating for belly fat. Intermittent fasting can help decrease bloating. Bloating could mean you also need more acid in your stomach. Betaine hydrochloride is the best remedy for bloating caused by a lack of stomach acid. A lack of bile can also create bloating. In this case, you could try taking bile salts. Top foods that cause bloating include: • Fruit • Yogurt • Beans • Grains • Almond flour • Sugar alcohols • Tapioca fiber • Soluble corn fiber • Plant-based green shakes or protein shakes If you have IBS or an inflammatory condition in your gut, you may want to try the carnivore diet for a little while to see if that helps reduce bloating. To flatten your stomach fast, you also need to lower your stress. Walking, physical work, and getting plenty of sleep are great ways to reduce stress. If you're going into menopause, it's also essential to support your adrenal glands to help avoid stubborn belly fat down the road.

Today, I want to share a few interesting natural alternatives for styes. A stye is a little pimple or pustule on the eyelid, usually involving a sebaceous gland. The sebaceous glands are oil glands. If one of these glands becomes clogged, it can lead to a staph infection and inflammation. It typically causes a lot of redness and irritation. In many cases, within seven days, the stye will go away. But, some people deal with recurring styes. People with diabetes have a much higher incidence of styes and staph infections. Sometimes retinoids, a type of vitamin A, are used as a treatment for styes. There is an interesting relationship between vitamin A and styes. One thing that can occur with a vitamin A deficiency is hyperkeratosis. Hyperkeratosis causes a roughened extra layer of skin tissue in the ducts of the sebaceous glands. This means that a vitamin A deficiency can cause the sebaceous glands to be clogged, leading to inflammation. A certain study on humans showed a significant vitamin A deficiency in those who had styes vs. those who did not. Vitamin A is also important for the immune system. A deficiency in vitamin A can increase the risk of infection. Diabetes and insulin resistance can also impair the immune system. Vitamin D is one of the most powerful anti-inflammatories, and vitamin D deficiency is associated with many different eye problems. Vitamin D deficiency may increase the risk of both infections and styes. Zinc is important for building up the immune system and reducing the recurrence of styes. Top causes of vitamin A deficiency: • A lack of the active form of vitamin A in the diet (retinol) • Gut inflammation • Liver issues • Gallbladder issues • Lack of bile • Zinc deficiency • Alcohol • Antibiotics Foods rich in vitamin A include: • Beef liver • Egg yolks • Fish • Cod liver oil The best natural ways to help get rid of a stye and keep it from coming back: 1. The TOP Best Foods for Kidney Disease (End Stage Kidney Disease)

Today I want to cover the best foods for kidney disease. The top causes of kidney problems are diabetes, insulin resistance, and high-sugar, high-carb diets. Consuming a low-carb diet, like the Healthy Keto® diet, and doing intermittent fasting are two of the best things you can do to help prevent kidney disease. But, if you have stage 3A through stage 5 kidney disease, you may want to consider making some adjustments to your keto plan. If you have a kidney problem, it's important to work with your doctor to make sure certain nutrients aren't out of range. These nutrients include potassium, sodium, and phosphorus. Protein levels can also become too high if someone has a kidney problem. The best diet tips for kidney disease: • Consume lower amounts of high-quality protein (pasture-raised organic eggs, wild-caught fish, seafood, and grass-fed, grass-finished beef) • Consume lower amounts of sodium (2,300 mg of sodium per day) • Avoid processed foods and junk foods • Avoid high-potassium foods and consume low-potassium foods • Avoid soda • Avoid foods high in phosphorus • Take the natural form of certain vitamins (B vitamins, vitamin C, and vitamin D3) • Get plenty of omega-3 fatty acids (take cod liver oil)

Let's talk about benign prostatic hyperplasia or BPH. This means a person has an enlarged prostate gland. Symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia: • Frequent urination (especially at night) • A weak stream • Dribbling after urination • A sensation that you can't fully empty your bladder Excess estrogen increases the size of the prostate. Estrogen also increases prolactin, which can increase the size of the prostate. Estrogen is a byproduct of testosterone in both females and males. To convert testosterone to estrogen, you need an enzyme called aromatase. The testicles and fat cells make aromatase. Phytoestrogens can mimic estrogen, but not very much. To shrink the prostate naturally, we want to inhibit aromatase to decrease estrogen production. Top things that increase aromatase: • Age • Body fat • Insulin • High-carb diets • Alcohol • Whole grains • Hormone replacement therapy • Birth control pills Things that decrease aromatase: • Cruciferous vegetables • White button mushrooms (sautéed) • Flaxseed • Green tea • Citrus peel In addition to losing weight with Healthy Keto®, reducing insulin, and consuming cruciferous vegetables, you can try a fantastic natural remedy for an enlarged prostate that involves citrus peel. The best natural remedy to support prostate health: Add a whole lemon and a glass of water to a blender, and blend it for about 30 seconds. Then, blend again with about five to ten drops of liquid stevia or 1/2 to 1 cup of blueberries. You can have this at any time of day—enjoy! There are twelve important signs of a gallbladder problem that I want to cover today. But, most of the time, a person with a gallbladder issue doesn't experience any symptoms at all. The majority of the time, a person has no idea they have a problem with the gallbladder. However, even though there are no major symptoms of a gallbladder problem, there are signs that can indicate your gallbladder is in trouble. Most of these signs are related to a bile deficiency because of a blockage, but excess bile can also lead to issues. Top signs of a potential gallbladder problem: 1. Visceral pain under the right rib cage 2. Nausea 3. Neck pain 4. Shoulder pain 5. Pale or gray stool 6. Floating stool 7. Itchy skin (especially at night) 8. Diarrhea, watery stool, and loss of control over bowel movements (from excess bile) 9. Dark urine 10. Jaundice 11. Vomiting 12. Constipation Top causes of a gallbladder problem: • Low-fat diets • A spike in estrogen • High cortisol • High insulin • PPIs The best remedies for gallbladder problems: • Purified bile salts (right after a meal) • TUDCA (on an empty stomach) • Fiber from salads It's also crucial to avoid a low-fat diet to support a healthy gallbladder. Instead, learn more about the Healthy Keto® diet in my other videos. DATA: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/24321208/

Today I'm going to cover the best tests for low stomach acid and what to do for a deficiency in stomach acid. The best tests for a stomach acid deficiency: 1. Riddler's gastric acid reflux point test Press on your rib cage one inch below your breastbone and one inch to the left. If the area is tender, you may lack stomach acid. 2. The baking soda test Dissolve 1/4 tsp. of baking soda in eight ounces of water and drink it in the morning before eating. If you don't have enough acid in your stomach, you may start burping within one to five minutes. 3. The betaine hydrochloride test Take one betaine hydrochloride supplement before eating, and add more with each meal. If you have low stomach acid, your symptoms will be relieved. Symptoms of low stomach acid (low hydrochloric acid): • Indigestion • Gas • Bloating • Acid reflux • GERD Another common problem people experience as they age is called atrophic gastritis. Symptoms of atrophic gastritis: • Mucosal atrophy • Low hydrochloric acid • Low B12 or folate • Low iron • Intolerance of red meat • Indigestion • Gas • Cognitive decline • Brittle nails • Restless legs • Thinning hair • Acid reflux • Muscle cramps or muscle twitches • Rosacea • Bad breath Common causes of atrophic gastritis: 1. H. pylori What to do: • Consume sulforaphane 2. Low hydrochloric acid What to do: • Take betaine hydrochloride • Take methylcobalamin and methylfolate In some cases, you may need to fix the inflammation in your gut before you increase your stomach acid. You can do this by consuming cabbage juice, wheatgrass juice powder with water, zinc, and probiotics. It's also important to get on a Healthy Keto® diet.
