To expand upon what I discussed in last week's episode, the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution places limitations on certain types of speech. Another type of speech that is not protected is defamation--in particular (for writers, anyway), libel. I discuss the elements needed for a defamation suit, distinguish between public and private figures, and explain the "actual malice" standard for libel set forth in the landmark 1964 U.S. Supreme Court case, New York Times Co. v. Sullivan. ********************************************************************************************************** I have a Patreon page now! www.patreon.com/marisadf Email: marisadellefarfalle@gmail.com Twitter: https://twitter.com/marisadee13 Instagram: www.instagram.com/marisadf13 I'd also really appreciate it if you could take a moment to rate and review this podcast on Apple Podcasts, as it'll help a lot more people find out about the show. ********************************************************************************************************** For further reference: "First Amendment": https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution/first_amendment NEW YORK TIMES CO. 6 Years to a Million Dollars & 6 Months to $2 MillionIn this episode, I’m going to pull back the curtain and show you a few of the key things that happened in the early years of my company. It took me six years of training and learning before I felt comfortable enough to start my own company. Then, my new team and I spent another six years building a million-dollar per year income. However, we hit our second million dollars in just six more months. This is how we did it.Here Are the Lessons Learned So You Don’t Have to Make the Same Mistakes that I Did.First, God Is in Control — If you are building a business, you will experience challenges. Each of those challenges will be a subtle push to change what you are doing. These pushes will someday make sense way down the road. (At the time they occur, though, they really suck!)Perfect Your Skill — No one wants to work for someone who just does a mediocre version of what someone else is doing. The team that joined The Leaders Institute ® early one did so because we were unique. The Secret to Success in Business Is Teaching Others Your Secret Sauce — Once I perfected my skill, I had just created a job for myself. That is until I brought Rick on. That is when I created wealth.Don’t Bring on New Team Members Until You Can Support Them — You need employees to grow your business, but if you just hire without a need, you will go bankrupt.Focus on Building Your Company Infrastructure — Your company will plateau at times based on your infrastructure. If you stall at the same income level for more than two years, you probably need to invest in a part of your company that is lacking. For example, marketing, finance, human resources, an executive team, etc.The most important lesson, though is that anyone can build a big business in America. It will not be easy, and you will get knocked down. There will be times that you will feel like you have to give up. Most people will. (I almost did.) However, that moment of truth is often the time that everything will turn around for the better if you work hard and have faith. For full show notes visit The Journey to Build a Multimillion-Dollar Companyhttps://www.fearlesspresentations.com/the-journey-to-build-a-multimillion-dollar-company/

Make recovery easier. Improve the financial resilience of households, small businesses, and communities. Annually fund actions to lower our risk. Rebuild for the future, not the past. Transcript & Links, Episode 47, December 18, 2020 Hello, Ron Robins here. Welcome to podcast episode 47 published on December 18, titled “Analysts: ESG Stocks to Buy!”— and presented by Investing for the Soul. investingforthesoul.com is your site for vital global ethical and sustainable investing news, commentary, information, and resources. Remember that you can find a full transcript, links to content – including stock symbols, quotes, and bonus material – at this episode’s podcast page located at investingforthesoul.com/podcasts. And Google any terms that are unfamiliar to you. ------------------------------------------------------------- 1. Analysts: ESG Stocks to Buy! First, we start with a big list titled 15 Stocks to Buy as the ESG Investing Boom Continues Into 2021 by Callum Keown. It appeared on the barrons.com site. Quote “The sustainable and ESG investing revolution is set to continue in 2021, with investors looking for the next wave of opportunities, Morgan Stanley strategists said, as they revealed the 15 stocks to buy… In Europe ... they chose energy-technology company Siemens Energy for its exposure to renewables and gas, as well as German chip maker Infineon, given its ‘commanding position in power semiconductors’ used in electric vehicles. Germany’s Covestro also featured as a leading producer of rigid foams used as insulation in buildings and increasingly in electric vehicles. In the U.S. ... they liked global-energy company AES, citing its transformation in developing renewables and storage, and automobile-parts company Aptiv for its growing focus on electric vehicles. In Asia they selected electric-vehicle-battery manufacturer LG Chem and solar wafer producer LONGi Green Energy Technology. Sustainable consumption The strategists also picked five stocks relating to sustainable consumption, with governments turning their attention to food and agriculture. Their picks included agricultural equipment manufacturer Deere, South Korean food company CJ Cheiljedang, and China’s Bluestar Adisseo for its products providing nutritional solutions for animal feed. Aluminium-beverage-can producer Ball Corp and Thailand’s SCG Packaging also made the list, offering alternatives to single-use plastics and packaging. Finally, they highlighted three stocks as a way of playing the overall structural growth theme of sustainability and ESG—asset manager Amundi, testing and inspection specialists Bureau Veritas, and U.S. data analytics company Verisk for its climate-data offering.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- 2. Analysts: ESG Stocks to Buy! Our next article continues with the alternative energy stock theme. It’s titled Got $5,000? Here Are 5 Energy Stocks to Buy and Hold for the Long Term. Matthew DiLallo, the article’s author, says these companies are leaders in the energy transition. It was on The Motley Fool site. He says the following about his picks. Quote: “1) Atlantica Sustainable Infrastructure (NASDAQ: AY) … owns a globally diversified portfolio of infrastructure assets backed by long-term, fixed-rate contracts that supply it with predictable income. The company currently gets 69% of its cash flow from renewable energy assets… Atlantica targets to invest $200 million to $300 million per year to expand its portfolio, which should enable it to steadily increase its high-yielding dividend. 2) Brookfield Renewable (NYSE: BEP) (NYSE: BEPC) … The company is a global leader in operating hydroelectric facilities (64% of its cash flow), which it compliments with fast-growing wind (27%) and solar energy (9%) platforms… The company anticipates increasing its cash flow at a double-digit annual rate through at least 2025, which should support 5% to 9% annual dividend growth. 3) First Solar (NASDAQ: FSLR) … is a leading manufacturer of thin-film solar panels, ideal for utility-scale solar energy projects… With solar panel demand expected to double over the next five years, First Solar is in an ideal position to capture this growth. 4) NextEra Energy (NYSE: NEE) … is the world's top energy producer from the wind and sun… Meanwhile, the company is also an early leader in emerging technologies like battery storage and green hydrogen. Add those factors to its legacy utility operations and 1.9%-yielding dividend, and NextEra is one of the lowest risk ways to invest in the future of energy. 5) SolarEdge Technologies (NASDAQ: SEDG) … makes power optimizers and inverters that help lower the cost of energy produced by solar panels… With a cash-rich balance sheet, SolarEdge has the financial flexibility to continue expanding so that it can stay ahead of the technological curve and capture a sizable portion of this growth.” End quotes. ------------------------------------------------------------- 3. Analysts: ESG Stocks to Buy! For most ethical and sustainable investors, many infrastructure stocks would qualify as investments. And given the prospect of massive infrastructure spending planned by governments globally, it might be worth considering some of these companies. Here’s an article titled 12 Best Infrastructure Stocks to Buy Now that might assist you. It’s written by Ma’k Almario and appeared on the Yahoo! Finance site. Mr. Almario says, “These are the most popular infrastructure stocks among the 800+ hedge funds tracked by Insider Monkey.” I’ll mention a company and then provide a brief quote from him on each one. Working towards the number one spot, we start with… “12) Fastenal Company (NASDAQ: FAST) Fastenal Company is an industrial distributor based in Minnesota. The company markets industrial, safety, and construction supplies at the same time inventory management, manufacturing, and tool repair… 11) Acuity Brands, Inc. (NYSE: AYI) The company manufactures innovative lighting products, controls, software, and services… Acuity Brands is one of the 10 new stocks billionaire Ken Fisher just bought. 10) Martin Marietta Materials (NYSE: MLM) … is one of the leading suppliers of building materials, including aggregates, cement, and heavy materials. 9) Aecom (NYSE: ACM) … is one of the top infrastructure firms in the world. 8) United Rentals, Inc. (NYSE: URI) United Rentals, Inc. is one of the world’s largest equipment rental companies… [it’s] a relatively popular stock among hedge funds, but hedge funds have been taking some chips off the table throughout 2020. 7) HD Supply Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: HDS) … is an industrial distributor in North America… Unfortunately, it may be a bit late to buy this stock now. Do masks really work to prevent the spread of viruses? Merely asking this question in today's hypersensitive milieu is enough to get you accused of being anti-science. We're told to place our critical thinking on hold, keep our opinions to ourselves, and listen to the experts. Not me. Not now. Not ever. Nevertheless, what many fail to realize is that there's no shortage of experts who haven't bought the mainstream narratives surrounding the use of masks to prevent the spread of viruses. Unfortunately, they're being drowned out through censorship, suppression and the threat of being excommunicated from the medical profession. In today's podcast, Dr. Philip Ovadia joins me to share what the latest science really says about whether or not masks are truly an effective means of keeping Covid (or any other virus) at bay. Here Are the Show Highlights - Why masks have suddenly become a widespread recommendation to prevent viruses - Why mask mandates are incredibly unlikely to meaningfully contribute to eliminating the spread of viruses - What the latest scientific studies really say about the effectiveness of masks toward preventing viral transmission - How deadly is Covid-19 for the average person, really? - Why children are mostly unaffected from Coronavirus exposure - The over-hyped fears surrounding Coronavirus deaths and hospitals being overrun with patients - The truth about the risk of viruses being spread by asymptomatic carriers - The best thing you can do to keep yourself and your family safe from Covid (or any other virus) Episode References: Cochrane Review Showing That Masks Are Unlikely to Prevent Spread of Respirator Viruses: https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD006207.pub5/full Danish Study on Effectiveness of Masks at Preventing the Spread of Viruses: https://www.acpjournals.org/doi/10.7326/M20-6817 Another Cochrane Study Showing Surgeons Wearing Masks During Surgeries Does Not Reduce Surgical Wound Infection Rates: https://www.cochranelibrary.com/cdsr/doi/10.1002/14651858.CD002929.pub3/full Study Showing That Being Metabolically Healthy Protects Against COVID-19 Impacts: https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2589936820300372 Connect With Philip Ovadia: His website: https://ovadiahearthealth.com On Twitter: https://twitter.com/ifixhearts Did you enjoy this podcast? When you're working to close your first deal, it can seem like new issues arise hourly. The feeling of flying blind can start to take over as you try to piece together solutions from all the information you've been studying, and all the while, you're doing your best to maintain your composure and make it to the finish line. You wouldn't be alone in thinking, "I'd pay someone a hefty fee to show me how all this works," and you might be like some new investors who actively seek a coach or mentor to help them close a deal in exchange for a split of the profits. In a perfect world, this arrangement would give you the education you need, help you avoid the pitfalls of inexperienced investors, put some money in your pocket, and compensate the mentor for their time while giving them the chance to share knowledge with a new investor. But we know the world isn't perfect, and wet-behind-the-ears investors bring deals to veterans all the time only to never hear from them again once the contracts close. Not every potential mentor is like this, and it's our job at Foreclosure Deals Coach to equip our listeners with the mindset and tools to be able to differentiate between professional investors out to do good business and unscrupulous charlatans promoting their services so they can eventually pocket your share of the deal. Listen as Donny explains how you can equip yourself with the skills to close your first deal and successfully partner with experienced investors to fast-track the growth of your business!Mentioned in today's episode:PropstreamHere's a link to the article Donny discussed in today's episode:Here Are 2020's Hottest Housing Markets According To ZIP CodeWe're offering a FREE 7-Day Trial of the PropStream software when you sign up through the Foreclosure Deals Coach affiliate link. I want to share with you, using current market research data the most in-demand skills so that you can start offering them on UpWork, and start to build up your freelancing career or agency business. Here Are the Top 10 Upwork Skills to Have 1. Google Tag Manager Google Tag Manager is a tool by Google to allow businesses to insert pixels on their website, to make it easier for advertising retargeting. If you find the right leads on Upwork you will find clients that you can upsell other services to such as SEO services (e.g. – optimization and conversion services), and other advertising services. 2. Salesforce App Development Salesforce allows developers to use its API to build 3rd party software applications that connect to the Salesforce platform. Clients who need a 3rd party App will generally be prepared to pay excellent rates for your services. 3. Amazon Web Services Clients who require custom SAAS applications to be built on the AWS platform will also be well-paying projects on Upwork and are in high demand at the moment. They are great projects to go after if you or a member of your team has AWS experience. 4. E-Learning With the explosion of online learning currently happening many education providers are looking for ways to put their courses online. Many of whom will have no technical skills, so they are looking for developers to help them out. It’s not just an in-demand Upwork skill for developers, clients are also looking for people who can present the courses in videos, do voice-overs, and even tasks like writing the course material in a web-friendly format. Depending on the size of the course you can make between $3000 and $10,000 per course project on Upwork. 5. Google Analytics If you are experienced with Google Analytics you will find lots of projects on Upwork looking for help with Google Analytics implementation and optimization services. 6. LinkedIn Recruiting This is a good service to provide if you are experienced with writing ads, you don’t have to have a recruiter. Companies run LinkedIn ads to recruit people, so if you have experience running Google Ads, Facebook Ads, etc. this is a good crossover skill to apply to LinkedIn Recruiting. 7. Product Descriptions Many people who run drop shipping businesses or have Shopify stores are looking for freelancers to write product descriptions. The descriptions aim to help them to convert more sales through high-quality content writing. If you sell other eCommerce related services, you can upsell these extra services to clients that you first sign up for product description writing. 8. Instagram Marketing This is helping to set up ads on the Instagram platform (which is part of Facebook) for clients, and to help set up influencer campaigns with Instagram users. It is a very in demand Upwork skill at the moment. 9. Start-up Consulting If you are experienced with writing business plans and helping to launch new ventures, you can offer this as a consulting service to start-ups. 10. Data Scraping This is when clients want your services to help them scrape data from other websites to use it for their website or to use the data for market research purposes. This is a very in-demand skill to have on Upwork. The Bottom Line There are huge opportunities to grow your freelancing career or to build up your online agency by offering in-demand services/ skills on Upwork. By offering one or more of these ten services is a great way to stand out from the crowd and to maximize the number of clients that you sign up. It will help you to build a bigger and more profitable freelancing career or online agency.

Here Are 7 Ways Christians Make Church Non-Essential: By Pastor Josh  Right now many political leaders are questioning whether or not church is essential in our country. But unfortunately, there are a lot of Christians who allowed church to become non-essential in their personal lives long before this quarantine ever hit.A family who had been a part of our congregation for years came to me and said that they were no longer going to be attending our church. I asked them if there was anything wrong and they said; no. So, I probed a little deeper and asked if they would be attending somewhere else. They responded that they wouldn’t be attending anywhere since they no longer felt like church was essential for them.As a Pastor for nearly 20 years I wish I could say this was an isolated incident, but unfortunately this type of situation is all too common. Here Are 7 Ways Christians Make Church Non-Essential: 1. SOME CHRISTIANS ARE FORFEITING WHAT THEY NEED MOST IN EXCHANGE FOR WHAT THEY WANT NOWJust like going to the gym isn’t necessarily fun, and eating healthy isn’t always easy. Church isn’t always fun and easy either. But it is still healthy to our soul and provides some of the essential ingredients to living an abundant Christian life. So, whether your church is hosting drive-in services, online services, or is meeting in smaller groups - commit to staying involved.2. SOME CHRISTIANS ARE ALLOWING THE GOOD THINGS IN THIS WORLD TO REPLACE THE BEST THINGS GOD HAS FOR THEMMost of the time what keeps people from church is not bad, wicked, & sinful things, but more than likely it’s good things that just end up crowding out better things - like church. While there are a lot of opportunities that exist in our world. Rather than letting other things be your reason for missing church, let church be your reason for missing those other things.3. SOME CHRISTIANS HAVE ALLOWED WEEKLY CHURCH GATHERING’S TO BECOME OPTIONAL IN THEIR PERSONAL LIVESWe like to think that we’re too busy and we don’t quite have the time for church attendance every week. But I find that we typically make time for what’s most important to us. So rather than say, I’m too busy for church. Be honest with yourself and others and simply say, “it’s not my highest priority at this time.”4. SOME CHRISTIANS ARE PRIORITIZING THEIR OWN PERSONAL CHURCH PREFERENCES ABOVE GOD’S MISSION FOR HIS CHURCHThere are many stories of people who stopped going to church because they didn’t like the music, or the pastor’s wife didn’t talk to them, or the church was changing some of it’s methods. Or they don’t prefer online church or watching a service on the internet during this season of shelter in place. However, none of these are good reasons to stop attending your local church. Church was never about getting what you wanted out of it, church is a place where we go to serve, love and sacrifice for others so we can accomplish God’s mission of discipling the world. So as long as those things are happening we should continue to be a part regardless of whether or not the church fulfills all our personal preferences.5. SOME CHRISTIANS ARE BECOMING DISENCHANTED WHEN CHURCH DOESN’T AUTOMATICALLY FIX THEIR PROBLEMS INSTANTLYIt’s easy to view church as a lucky charm that should fix all our problems quickly. But attending church doesn’t magically fix your life.Rather, it’s the grace that God provides while living in healthy community with other loving Christians for an extended period of time that really makes the difference. In that environment God begins to change your values, motivations, habits, and ultimately your behaviors that will eventually change the results that you see in your everyday life.6. SOME CHRISTIANS ARE ALLOWING THE HURT THEY EXPERIENCE FROM ONE CONGREGATION TO KEEP THEM OUT OF CHURCH COMPLETELYWe’ve all heard horror stories about a doctor that was caught in malpractice or did something unethical. But that doesn’t keep us from finding a good doctor somewhere else and going to them.In much the same way, as long as there are humans in the church - there will be hurts. But that doesn’t mean we should stop going to church altogether.I love how the author Philip Yancy said it; “I rejected the church for a time because I found so little grace there. I returned to the church later because I found no grace anywhere else.”Just because a church has hurt you in the past - doesn’t mean that you have to let that keep you from finding a place that will minister grace to you and your family in the future.7. SOME CHRISTIANS HAVE BEGUN TO FORGET THE VALUE & IMPORTANCE OF A FAITH COMMUNITYIt’s easy to forget why church is important. We get bogged down with relational conflict and distracted by our preferences not being met. But ultimately, church is about so much more than those petty things. A faith community is important because it is vital to human flourishing. And it’s a huge part of our spiritual formation.Like the great sequoia trees that have stood tall for thousands of years even in the midst of storms due to their interconnected roots. We too will survive the storms of life as we stay connected to one another through church attendance.

Be grateful. No matter how awful your life seems at the moment, you have something to be grateful for. Focus on it with the laser-like, single-minded devotion of a dog eyeing a porterhouse. You have been granted 2 billion seconds on this planet, give or take. You are a billionaire! Many billionaires, however, squander most of their fortune on bitter recriminations about how unfair everything is. Many of them are right, and it really is unfair. But you won’t get a refund from the universe for the time you spent brooding about the unfairness. You lose them just as surely as a second spent experiencing joy, only they don’t even give you something nice to remember them by.Megan McArdle After 45 Birthdays, Here Are ‘12 Rules for Life’ Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn't learn a lot at least we learned a little, and if we didn't learn a little, at least we didn't get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn't die; so, let us all be thankful.”

Dealing with Difficult and Toxic People During the Holidays

Are you Dealing with Difficult or Toxic people? // Here Are some SUPER helpful tools for Setting Boundaries during the holidays! First and foremost it is important to identify the difficult people that you will be encountering during the holiday season. You can never know for sure who you will run into, but you can probably estimate pretty accurately some of the particularly toxic people that you will be encountering during holiday events.   This could be toxic family members that you may see at holiday gatherings or simply difficult people that you work with at holiday events. If you want to learn more about how to spot difficult people namely energy vampires here is a video that will help you with that - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPSZ9... Either way it is important to recognize theses difficult relationships in your mind before walking into these dynamics, and yes I said Difficult relationships. The reason for this is because putting all the blame on someone else and simply regarding them as a toxic person, is a disempowering way of perceiving the situation. The truth is that even though this difficult person may be highly toxic, until you are willing to take responsibility for your own actions and perspectives, you will simply be feeding the fire. While it is important to set physical boundaries with difficult or toxic people (express that it is unhealthy to share the same space or even communicate with each other) True empowered boundary setting starts with you taking responsibility for your own negative thoughts and emotions, in other words setting boundaries starts internally. It may feel like a toxic person is responsible for creating your negative emotions but the truth of the matter is that no person is forcing you to feel the emotions that you feel. You are feeling emotions because of how you are interpreting the situations that you are in and while you cannot change someone else, you can change the way that you relate to your relationship with them. The first key to setting healthy boundaries is choosing to reinterpret the relationship in a way that is empowering. This is most helpful when it is done in your mind before you find yourself in front of the person that you have a difficult relationship with.   This is called priming, you are priming yourself to perceive things differently by training yourself to perceive thru a new interpretive lens. This video explores more about this and about how to use this technique to set Boundaries in a healthy and empowered way as opposed to just running away from difficult people and situations. Thanks for tuning in!!

Motherhood has all the feels: pride, joy, fear, accomplishment, worry, and overwhelm (often with a hefty side of mom-guilt). Juggling these terrifying and satisfying waters can be challenging, especially if you want to master motherhood with both Grit and Grace. Real-life moms, Darlene Brock (who’s raised two daughters, now upgraded to Nonie—her fancy title for grandmother) and Julie Graham (widowed boymom in the trenches of single motherhood like many of you) share practical tips to do this. Strong Mama, don’t worry that you’re messing up or that you’re alone. In this episode, Julie and Darlene share hands-on advice on parenting techniques that they learned and have or are using themselves. Things like making quality time with your kids, establishing healthy boundaries, using discipline, and implementing rules and chores (suggested by age groups from toddlers to teens)! Take heart, Mama, we may not have all the answers, but we have several that might help. If you know another mama who needs encouragement, share this show. How should we share the gospel in the public arena?  We even get into shadow banning and anti-Christian social media bias.  Grab an Italian percolated, Sumatra medium roast coffee, sit back and focus. How do I find gratitude in hard times? Here Are the Top 5 Ways to Feel Gratitude in Challenging Times -Times of trouble like the one our society is currently experiencing can make it more difficult for you to find gratitude in your heart. They can make you turn to anger or resentment. However, you can still show gratitude despite challenging issues in your life. If challenging times are affecting your ability to see gratitude, consider these ideas: 1. Search for the positive. You may be going through a stressful or difficult period in your life, but it shouldn't stop you from seeing positive things. * What are the positive areas in your life that aren't being affected by your current challenges? Do you still have your home and health? Do you still have a job that provides for your family? * By focusing on the positive aspects of your life, you'll find areas in which you can still feel thankful. 2. Treasure the small details. It's easy to lose sight of the small details if you're overwhelmed by a difficult situation at home or at work. However, if you learn to treasure the details, you'll welcome gratitude back into your life. * Are you happy with a new paint color at home? Are you proud of a small project at work? Did you finish a long book? These small details can make a big difference in your gratitude levels. * You can show your appreciation for the little things by making a list of everything that needs your love. 3. Search for joy. It's important to add joy to your daily schedule. Watch a comedy, read a comic book, or share jokes with friends. Add laughter to your routine. * Laughter can help you notice the areas that need gratitude in your life. * Joy can help you feel appreciation toward your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors. 4. Put your pain in perspective. Make it a point to avoid getting lost in the negative emotions of your challenges by looking at others. * If you can put your pain in perspective, you'll discover that there are others who have even more challenges than you. If you're worried about your house, job, or health, think about those who have even less. * Perspective can help you understand that everyone faces difficult challenges. You're not alone, and you can still feel grateful for other things in your life. 5. Understand the power of change. Change is a regular part of existence, but when you're struggling, you might feel as if your life will never change. * Remind yourself that changes occur all the time, and change can lead to gratitude. * You can show your gratitude by recognizing that changes occur and can lead to better things. If you feel trapped and stagnant, keep in mind that a transformation is possible. It may take time, friends, effort, and perseverance, but you'll get past your difficult situation. Your ability to find gratitude doesn't have to be limited during challenges. Search for the positive areas in your life, even as you struggle in other areas. Remember that you're not alone and that everything changes. Soon, you'll find yourself feeling the gratitude that you seem to have lost. Shine Buzz Live! WOMEN SIPPING ON LIFE (with doctor shannon) | Stop Drowning | Start Sipping | Daily Inspiration | Hope | Certainty | Abundanc

DISCLAIMER/I APOLOGIZE: After recording today's episode, I noticed a clicking sound coming through my microphone . I'm not sure why this happened, but I WILL get it figured out! For today, please forgive the distraction of the occasional clicks. (THANK YOU!) Perhaps it's there to help you practice your ability to FOCUS. Your focus is powerful, as long as you remember what to focus on. I'll show you how to direct your focus today and renew your mind... With everything vying for your attention, how do you stay focused on what matters most to YOU? In today's episode I'll show you a powerful, yet simple, strategy to remember... So why do we forget to remember? I believe it's because we don’t have enough reminders. A reminder renews the mind…and a renewed mind is a transformed life. Remember when we've talked about the definition of SOUL in the past? It's our mind, will, and emotions. And you know how we define S.O.L., right?  It's Sipping On Life, of course. This strategy will help you remember to focus on your heart and SOUL, while sipping on your life.  Got it? Here Are 3 Reminders For SIPPING ON LIFE Every Day… 1. S: Start small and finish big. Simple is the most profound way to focus. Commit to doing a small thing consistently. EVERY DAY. Small things every day become BIG things and BIG days. What is this for you? What could it be for you? 2. O: Open your day with a big step for you. Create a morning SACRED SELF TIME with a RENEWAL RITUAL. Listen. Share. Set an intention for your day. Commit to it by staying OPEN. ALL DAY. 3. L: Love the little things. Look for everything you LOVE. Document. Take pictures. Review at the end of your day. Give thanks...and thanks will give YOU more to be thankful for. Please grab your SACRED S.O.L. D.A.T.E. JOURNAL (Daily Action To Engage yourself.) TODAY’S SACRED S.O.L. STEP: 1. Write out the letters: S.O.L.  2. Write down what comes to mind for YOU with each of these three... Start small. Commit to the smallest, yet most consistent step you can take on a daily basis. Open your day. How will you OPEN your day with SACRED SELF time? Love. Begin to list the things you love most in your life. Look for them. Look for new ones. Then commit to documenting your day in pictures. 3. Write a note that says, I LOVE MY HEART + S.O.L. (Place it on your mirror, refrigerator, and computer.) This will remind you to remember with a RENEWED MIND + TRANSFORMED LIFE. Thank you for being here, and allowing me to sip on life with you. I’m going to be inviting listeners onto the program.
