I denne uges Bilradio handler det især om BMW, der både har danske priser på den nye i3, en elektrisk iX5 på vej og en rigtig M-udgave af i3 i støbeskeen. BMW har fart på, og den nye BMW i3 kan nu bestilles i Danmark. Første udgave bliver i3 50 xDrive First Edition, og den lægger hårdt fra land med 469 hk, firehjulstræk og 800 volt-teknik. Pakken er også tung på udstyr. BMW har blandt andet lagt M Sportpakke, M-bremser, head-up display og 22 kW AC-opladning med i standardudstyret. Dermed rammer bilen direkte ind i Mercedes-Benz’ nye elektriske C-Klasse, som på papiret har kortere rækkevidde og fremstår mere nøgternt udstyret. Det mest interessante ved BMW’s pris er dog ikke kun First Edition-udgaven i sig selv. Det er, hvad den lover for de billigere udgaver af i3. Når BMW kan lægge en så veludstyret topversion på et niveau, der ikke virker afskrækkende i klassen, peger det på, at de kommende standardversioner kan blive særdeles skarpt prissat. Og BMW stopper ikke ved i3. Mærket har også en ny fuldelektrisk iX5 på vej med et enormt batteri, og samtidig arbejder tyskerne på en rigtig M-udgave af den nye i3. Der sogenannte Tankrabatt, den die Bundesregierung zur Abfederung der Spritpreise eingesetzt hat, hat die Hälfte seiner Laufzeit erreicht. Bis Ende des Monats gilt er noch, aber wie geht es danach weiter? Tankrabatt wirkt, aber Zukunft an den Tankstellen unklar Der Tankrabatt habe zwar etwas Bewegung in den Markt gebracht, sagt Birgit Priemer, Chefredakteurin von Auto, Motor und Sport. Gleichzeitig sei die Maßnahme von Anfang an umstritten gewesen. Manche Tankstellen hätten die Preise vor dem Start erst erhöht, um den Rabatt später leichter weiterzugeben. Das habe viel Unruhe ausgelöst. Priemer kritisierte zudem, der Tankrabatt helfe vor allem Menschen mit großen, verbrauchsintensiven Autos. Für sozial Schwächere sei er kaum ein gezieltes Instrument der Unterstützung. Priemer findet Kosten für den Staat zu hoch Aus ihrer Sicht stehen die Kosten in keinem guten Verhältnis zum Nutzen. Die rund 1,6 Milliarden Euro an Steuermindereinnahmen hätte man ihrer Ansicht nach anders einsetzen können. Priemer verweist darauf, dass Benzin und Diesel in Deutschland ohnehin stark mit Steuern und Abgaben belastet seien. Bei Benzin liege der Anteil bei rund 60 Prozent, beim Diesel bei etwa 50 Prozent. Deshalb brauche es aus ihrer Sicht eher einen generellen Hebel, der allen Verbrauchern und auch Unternehmen helfe. Ab Juli: Energie-Bilanz wird wichtiger Für die Zeit nach dem Auslaufen des Tankrabatts rät Priemer dazu, die eigene Mobilität genauer zu prüfen. Jeder müsse sich fragen, wie viele Kilometer wirklich gefahren würden und ob dafür immer das Auto nötig sei. Auch bei der nächsten Anschaffung lohne sich ein Blick auf sparsamere Modelle, Plug-in-Hybride oder ein Elektroauto. Wer die Möglichkeit habe, privat zu laden, könne ebenfalls umdenken. Benzin- und Dieselpreise würden ihrer Einschätzung nach schwer kalkulierbar bleiben und langfristig eher steigen. Neu- und Gebrauchtwagen: E-Autos legen deutlich zu Trotz hoher Preise sieht Priemer eine wachsende Nachfrage nach Elektroautos. Das liege nicht nur am Krieg gegen die Ukraine und den hohen Energiepreisen, sondern auch an einem besseren Angebot. Günstigere Modelle wie der Dacia Spring oder der Citroën ë-C3 machten den Einstieg leichter. Hinzu komme die wieder verfügbare Förderung. Im April seien die Neuzulassungen im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 41 Prozent gestiegen, der Marktanteil habe in Deutschland knapp 26 Prozent erreicht. Bei gefragten Modellen wie dem Mercedes CLA oder dem BMW iX3 gebe es inzwischen sogar monatelange Wartezeiten.
A guerra no Oriente Médio tem dado um impulso inédito à venda de carros elétricos nos países europeus. A alta dos preços dos combustíveis opera como o gatilho que faltava para muitos motoristas passarem dos motores térmicos aos elétricos, mais econômicos. Na França, o aumento da gasolina chega a € 0,50 por litro, a um total de cerca de € 2. Enquanto isso, nas concessionárias, a busca por alternativas disparou: as vendas de veículos elétricos novos e usados subiram 48% desde janeiro, apesar do contexto de recuo do setor automotivo como um todo, nos últimos anos. O vendedor Alexandre Pires, gerente da loja JPA Autos na região parisiense, está neste mercado há 10 anos e constatou a virada: “faz vários anos que estamos em aumento constante, mas desde o início do ano, ela é bem maior devido ao problema dos combustíveis”, disse. “Como o carro elétrico praticamente não precisa de manutenção, ele é de três a cinco vezes mais econômico.” Para enfrentar o aumento do diesel e da gasolina, em vez de subsidiar o valor do litro, o governo francês prorrogou um plano de ajuda para a compra de um veículo elétrico novo, com a expectativa de beneficiar 50 mil famílias de baixa renda. A França não é um caso isolado: o movimento na direção de carros que dispensem combustível se repete na maioria dos países europeus. A alta das vendas é semelhante no Reino Unido e na Alemanha e até superior na Itália, onde o crescimento nesse segmento chegou a 67%. Novos modelos populares Na Europa, a Tesla segue a marca preferida na linha premium de automóveis. Mas a chegada de modelos pequenos e mais acessíveis, como o Renault Zoe, o Dacia Spring e o BMW i3, ajuda a explicar a maior procura nas lojas. “Temos muita demanda de carros médios e pequenos, para circular na cidade. O volume cresceu muito e agora está mais fácil encontrar modelos usados e recentes, com pouca quilometragem”, frisa Pires. “Os clientes ficam tranquilos, do ponto de vista técnico, afinal a garantia da bateria em geral é de oito anos.” Em entrevista à RFI, a presidente da Câmara Sindical de Importadores de Automóveis e Motocicletas (Ciam) da França, Athina Argyriou, salientou que a indústria automotiva do bloco “está em mutação” desde que compreendeu a oportunidade que representa a transição energética. Hoje, 10 anos depois do Acordo de Paris sobre o Clima, a oferta europeia representa mais de 80% do mercado interno de veículos. “Hoje, a nossa dependência petroquímica do Oriente Médio, da China e dos Estados Unidos é de cerca de 90% e a cada vez que tem tensões geopolíticas, tem impactos nas nossas economias. A Europa viu que, ao mesmo tempo, a sua indústria estava em declínio e foi uma forma de recuperar competitividade”, afirmou Argyriou. “Fizemos essa virada e hoje a Europa é precursora no mundo, no sentido de que ela fixou objetivos extremamente ambiciosos e coloca essa transição econômica no foco das suas preocupações sociais, econômicas e geopolíticas. É uma realidade.” Concorrência chinesa As barreiras adotadas pela União Europeia contra os carros chineses seguraram, num primeiro momento, a entrada de marcas como BYD, MG e Chery no continente. Entretanto, graças aos modelos híbridos, que conseguem contornar o pacote antidumping em vigor contra Pequim desde outubro de 2024, a venda de veículos da China teve uma alta espetacular no primeiro trimestre: chegou a 170% no caso da BYD. “A China tem um avanço considerável nas baterias, mas não nos carros em si. Eles começaram a investir muito cedo, há mais de 10 anos, portanto estão na frente”, comentou a representante setorial. “A China produz mais modelos pequenos, enquanto a competitividade europeia focou na oferta premium. Essa é a diferença.” Na concessionária, o mercado de usados está tenso. Segundo Alexandre Pires, a demanda é maior do que a oferta. “Estamos sempre no limite, em termos de volume. Assim que surge um carro na faixa de até € (E) 20 mil, ele é vendido quase imediatamente”, garante. “Antes, eu precisava explicar, convencer. Agora, são os clientes que pedem. Não tenho dúvida de que, nos próximos anos, os carros chineses também vão ocupar esse espaço.”

The new i7 swaps its old 105.7kWh battery for a 112.5kWh pack using Gen6 cylindrical cells, pushing maximum range from 387 miles to 452 miles and DC charging speed from 195kW to 250kW, while adaptive dampers and active rear steering become standard across the whole range.The styling adopts BMW's Neue Klasse design language with slimmer crystal-embedded headlights, a horizontal-slat grille, 22-inch alloys as standard, and up to 500 exterior colour combinations including a new two-tone option. Inside, the i7 becomes the first BMW to offer a front-passenger touchscreen (14.6 inches), gains a 17.9-inch central display and a sweeping 43.3-inch Panoramic iDrive dashboard, while rear passengers keep their 31.3-inch 8K cinema screen and 35-speaker Bowers & Wilkins system.***RIVIAN STARTS R2 PRODUCTION IN ILLINOISRivian has begun production of the R2 at its Normal, Illinois plant, with CFO Claire McDonough confirming the start in a Reuters interview and first customer deliveries expected later this spring. GM told Motor1 that "EVs remain the end game" and confirmed no impact to current electric truck production, though the company gave no timeline for when the next-generation programme might resume.Supplier executives and analysts told Crain's they do not expect a new generation of GM's all-electric truck line until 2030 or beyond, suggesting the delay is substantial even if GM stops short of calling it a cancellation.***SMART #2 SETS UP FORTWO RETURNSmart has unveiled the Smart #2 concept, a two-door, two-seat electric city car that revives the spirit of the original Fortwo, with a production model expected to launch in October 2026. BUZZ ADDS AWD AND NEW TECHVolkswagen Commercial Vehicles is rolling out a 2026 model year update for the ID. Buzz this summer, headlined by the new Pro 4MOTION variant that pairs a 210kW rear motor with a front motor for a combined 250kW and raises towing capacity to 1.8 tonnes on the standard wheelbase. The update also brings one-pedal driving capable of bringing the vehicle to a full stop, a new Innovision infotainment system with an integrated app store, traffic-light-responsive Connected Travel Assist, a welcome return to physical steering wheel buttons, and optional vehicle-to-load capability at up to 2.0kW.***CHARGEPOINT LAUNCHES 600KW EXPRESS SOLOChargePoint has unveiled the Express Solo, a standalone DC fast charger capable of delivering up to 600kW, which the company says sets a new benchmark for public charging in the US. Each VNR Electric uses a six-battery configuration with a range of up to 440km, and the expansion is supported by a new 180kW Heliox Flex charging station in Quebec City and two additional chargers in Vancouver.***PG&E ADDS CYBERTRUCK TO V2G PILOTPG&E and Tesla have added the Cybertruck to PG&E's residential vehicle-to-grid programme, using Tesla's Powershare Gateway and Universal Wall Connector in what is the first AC-based V2G application approved for California customers. Participants can receive up to $4,500 in incentives for bidirectional charging equipment and earn additional compensation for exporting electricity back to the grid during peak demand events.***VOLKSWAGEN SETS GERMAN V2G LAUNCH FOR 2026Volkswagen and its energy subsidiary Elli plan to launch a fully integrated vehicle-to-grid service for private customers in Germany in Q4 2026, with pre-registration opening in June, promising annual earnings of €700–€900 under favourable conditions. Elli will manage the full stack — dynamic tariff, DC bidirectional charger, smart meter integration, and a control app — backed by around one million bidirectional-capable MEB-platform EVs already on European roads.

Drivers who opt in receive cashback rewards of up to 5% of charging costs, and Allego plans to expand the model from its initial rollout to around 9,000 charging points in the Netherlands before extending it to Belgium.FUEL SPIKE PUSHES DRIVERS TOWARDS EVSA survey by Electrifying.com of over 1,000 visitors found that more than 70% of non-EV drivers said rising fuel prices — spiked by US-Israel air attacks on Iran and disruption to oil supply through the Strait of Hormuz — are making them more actively consider switching to electric. Astfel, la următorul Congres al PSD partidul ar părăsi familia social-democrată europeană și ar putea să își schimbe și numele.În prezent, statulul PSD menționează că „Partidul Social Democrat este un partid de stânga modern şi progresist, un partid naţional cu vocaţie europeană, membru al Partidului Socialiştilor Europeni şi al Internaţionalei Socialiste, continuatorul tradiţiei social-democraţiei româneşti” și „promovează doctrina social-democrată”.Politologul Cristian Pârvulescu explică faptul că „stânga se centrează pe egalitate. Și la marile subiecte care sunt cruciale pentru egalitate, PSD este pe poziție ultraconservatoare cvasifascistă. De exemplu, problema căsătoriei între persoanele de același sex sau a parteneriatului civil. Problema avortului. (...) Problema migrației. Sunt foarte multe probleme pe care le abordează din perspectivă de dreapta. (...) în Europa centrală și de est nu s-au putut construi partidele de stânga, pentru că au fost decredibilizate de comuniști și pentru că nu prea a existat susținere”.Practic, PSD este un partid post-comunist dezideologizat, un partid care încearcă să ia voturi de peste tot, pentru care ideologia nu are nicio importanță, completează expertul pentru ziarul Adevărul.INTERVIU Important economist, autor a 50 de cărți: „Un dezastru pentru România. Acest fenomen se observă în special în industria auto și cea de electronice, dar este valabil și în altele, precum mobilă sau textile.Aceste produse sunt mai scumpe decât se vând în statul asiatic, câteodată costă chiar dublu sau triplu, sunt dar mai ieftine decât modelele europene sau americane similare comercializate în țara noastră. Libertatea vă prezintă cele mai întâlnite cazuri.Dacia Spring este, de fapt, un Dongfeng.Modelul electric al producătorului auto nu are nimic de-a face cu fabricile de la Mioveni. Acesta este produs în China de către un alt partener de afaceri al Renault, respectiv producătorul de stat Dongfeng. Însă în timp ce modelul chinez pornește cu un preț de la 5.500 de dolari pe Alibaba, echivalentul a 4.850 de euro, în România, grupul francez a trecut un preț de pornire de la 16.900 de euro în cea mai puțin dotată versiune, conform site-ului Dacia. Versiunea cea mai scumpă are un preț de listă de 19.900 de euro. Prețul prin programul Rabla pleacă de la 11.400 de euro.Sorin Mierlea, președinele asociației Infocons, care se ocupă cu protecția consumatorilor, spune că nu există legislație care să definească foarte clar ce înseamnă produs românesc.

Erschwingliche Elektroautos sind nach wie vor Mangelware – zumindest, wenn man nach Fahrzeugen sucht, die unter 25.000 Euro kosten und dennoch eine solide Ausstattung bieten. Genau darüber habe ich in der aktuellen Podcast-Folge mit Vanessa-Lisa Oelmann gesprochen. Sie testet seit drei Jahren Elektroautos, betreibt einen eigenen YouTube-Kanal und schreibt neben der Elektroautomobil auch für Elektroauto-News. Ihr Fokus liegt auf massentauglichen, bezahlbaren E-Autos – ein Bereich, der bisher eher stiefmütterlich behandelt wurde. Vanessa sieht die magische Preisgrenze bei 25.000 Euro. Autos, die in einer vernünftigen Ausstattung unter dieser Grenze bleiben – also ohne, dass an essentiellen Dingen wie Schnellladefähigkeit oder Assistenzsystemen gespart wird – fallen für sie in die Kategorie „bezahlbare E-Mobilität“. Auch wenn sie sich wünscht, dass es künftig Modelle unter 20.000 oder sogar 15.000 Euro geben wird, ist das aufgrund von Batteriekosten und Entwicklungsausgaben aktuell noch eine Herausforderung. Doch Bewegung ist im Markt: Der Hyundai Inster ist für Vanessa aktuell eines der überzeugendsten Modelle, weil er selbst in der Basisversion mit einem flexiblen Innenraum und guten Assistenzsystemen punktet. Besonders begeistert war sie von der Autobahnassistenz, die in Fahrzeugen dieser Größenordnung oft fehlt. Der Citroën ë-C3 steht ebenfalls auf ihrer Liste, insbesondere wegen des komfortablen Fahrwerks und der Effizienz. Allerdings gab es hier Unmut, da viele Modelle zunächst nur für den französischen Markt im Social Leasing verfügbar waren. Bei künftigen Modellen hofft Vanessa auf spannende Alternativen: Der VW ID.1 und ID.2 stehen ebenso in den Startlöchern wie der BYD Dolphin Mini oder Firefly, die neue Submarke von Nio. Besonders spannend findet sie den Dolphin Mini mit seinem Natrium-Ionen-Akku, der ohne Kobalt und Nickel auskommt – eine Technologie, die bei uns bald Schule machen könnte. Aber nicht alle günstigen Elektroautos sind für sie eine Alternative zum Erstwagen. Der Dacia Spring oder der Leapmotor T03 haben zwar ihren Platz, fallen für sie aber eher in die Kategorie Zweitwagen. Der Grund: stark eingeschränkte Ladeleistungen und geringe Reichweiten. Wer längere Strecken plant, stößt hier schnell an Grenzen. Ein weiteres Segment, das oft zur Sprache kommt, ist Mikromobilität. Der Microlino ist für viele eine charmante Alternative, doch der hohe Preis, die rudimentäre Ausstattung und die begrenzten Sicherheitsfeatures machen ihn für den Massenmarkt schwierig. Vanessa sieht hier eher eine Nische für Individualisten, während ein Dacia Spring für preisbewusste Käufer die logischere Wahl wäre. Ein großes Thema bleibt die Konkurrenz aus China. Viele Hersteller aus Europa, insbesondere Volkswagen, haben sich laut Vanessa zu lange Zeit gelassen, um günstige E-Autos auf den Markt zu bringen. Der ID.3 kam verspätet und teurer als angekündigt, während China bereits Modelle zu erschwinglichen Preisen anbietet. Doch sie sieht mittlerweile positive Entwicklungen: „Ich glaube, die Deutschen haben eins auf den Deckel bekommen und daraus gelernt.“ Nun aber genug der Vorworte – lasst uns direkt in das Gespräch einsteigen!

Investitorii străini sunt importanți pentru economia românească. O dovedesc mai multe domenii industriale în care, pe baza investițiilor externe, România ocupă locuri de frunte în topurile producătorilor și exportatorilor. Într-o perioadă în care valul de naționalism economic crește, cel puțin la nivel vocal, este momentul să trecem în revistă câteva rezultate ale unor investitori, întâmplător, străini. Nu înseamnă că antreprenorii români au mai puține merite sau realizări, dar câteva exemple de investitori străini în România nu strică. Mai ales în acest context politic.De exemplu, grupul Renault a prezentat o scurtă statistică a mărcii Dacia de la preluarea ei de către compania franceză. Astfel, din 2004, anul privatizării uzinelor Dacia, s-au vândut peste nouă milioane de mașini cu acest brand. Doar anul trecut numărul de autovehicule Dacia vândute pe toate piețele internaționale a fost de aproximativ 676.000, cu 2,7% mai mult decât în anul precedent. Această cifră a dus la consolidarea pe piața europeană a mărcii Dacia care se află pe podium la capitolul vânzări către persoane fizice, zona comercială cea mai importantă pentru Dacia, cu o cotă de piață de aproximativ 8%.Dacia își bazează dinamica vânzărilor pe patru modele: Sandero, Duster, Jogger și Spring. Dacia Spring a suferit anul trecut, atunci când vânzările au scăzut cu aproape 60%, principala cauză fiind retragerea programelor de ajutor de stat pentru cumpărarea unei mașini noi electrice. Cu toate acestea, grupul francez își continuă dezvoltarea în domeniul mașinilor electrice prin echiparea modelelor Jogger, Duster și Bigster cu motoare hibride.Dar, Renault nu este singurul producător auto prezent în România. Anul trecut, Ford Otosan a produs la Craiova aproximativ 250.000 de autovehicule, cu 31% mai mult decât în anul 2023. Transit, Courier și Puma au fost cele trei modele Ford care s-au fabricat anul trecut în România, iar anul acesta gama se va completa cu Puma Gen-E, un model electric.În total, anul trecut s-au produs în România aproximativ 560.000 de autovehicule, o creștere față de anul precedent, atunci când România se apropia de top 20 producători auto la nivel mondial.Sunt doar cifre, dar ele arată importanța industriei auto pentru economia românească, iar la companiile din acest sector trebuie adăugate firmele care activează în producția de subansamble sau piese de schimb.Nu doar industria auto este relevantă pentru România, ci și sectorul de producție și export a anvelopelor. Investiția pusă în funcțiune în toamna anului trecut a companiei Nokian la Oradea va crește anul acesta producția locală. De altfel, România se afla în anul 2022 aproape de top 10 al exportatorilor mondiali de anvelope, așa cum arată „Ziarul financiar”. Este o performanță logică dacă ne gândim că Nokian Tyres este doar cel mai recent investitor venit pe piața locală unde au fabrici nume mari la nivel global cum sunt Michelin, Pirelli și Continental.Fabrica de la Oradea a companiei finlandeze Nokian Tyres a fost construită de la zero, a însemnat o investiție de 500 milioane de euro, va avea emisii zero de dioxid de carbon și a creat 550 de locuri de muncă.România mai este în topul european și la producția, sau mai precis asamblarea, bicicletelor. În anul 2023, s-au fabricat 1,5 milioane de biciclete, al doilea producător din Uniunea Europeană, și o bună parte dintre ele sunt exportate în statele membre.Încă un exemplu este producția locală de espressoare. „Ziarul financiar” arăta într-un articol publicat anul trecut că după investiții de 250 milioane de euro, piața românească a devenit al doilea cel mai mare exportator european și al treilea din lume.În România, sunt prezenți doi investitori importanți, italienii de la De Longhi și olandezii de la Versuni (fosta companie Philips) care au transformat România într-un producător de espressoare semnificativ la nivel global.Orice investitor, străin sau român, este important. De aceea, valul naționalist poate face mai mult rău decât bine economiei românești.

Face à la Chine, l'Europe semble se réveiller et a enfin décidé de riposter pour ne pas être inondées de produits chinois. l'Europe a ouvert une quinzaine d'enquêtes pour soupçons de dumping ou de subventions abusives sûr, par exemple, les voitures électriques bien, mais également sur l'éolien ou les panneaux solaires. Alors ces enquêtes sont déjà une manière pour l'Europe de montrer ses muscles, mais, c'est vrai, si on écoute les candidats aux élections européennes, ce n'est pas encore assez. La riposte Européenne est timide et ce n'est pas par faiblesse mais par intérêt. Si vous vous intéressez aux élections européennes, vous aurez remarqué que la plupart des candidats disent qu'il faut arrêter d'être naïf à l'égard de la Chine en premier lieu certes, mais également à l'égard des États-Unis. Les uns et les autres parlent de libre-échange, mais en réalité, ces deux grandes puissances économiques pratiquent chacune à sa manière, une ou plusieurs formes de protectionnisme. Alors, il n'y a qu'en Europe, visiblement, que l'on croit encore au libre-échange. De son côté, Joe Biden a annoncé il y a quelques jours à peine des droits de douane de 100% sur les voitures électriques chinoises et son administration a demandé à l'Europe de faire exactement la même chose et de suivre le mouvement protectionniste à l'encontre de la Chine. Et pour le moment, vu de loin, on a l'impression que l'Europe prend tout de même son temps pour riposter alors que l'Europe est déjà inondée, elle, de voitures électriques chinoises dont beaucoup attendent dans nos ports le moment d'être vendues sur le continent. C'est vrai que l'Europe a l'air de se réveiller tardivement et de se dire qu'au fond, le protectionnisme, ce n'est pas si mal. Hemos puesto el título de “¿El peligro viene de China?” con interrogantes… a lo largo de este video verás que esos interrogantes van a desaparecer porque, efectivamente, el peligro viene de China. ¿Conoces la expresión, “te han engañado como a un chino”? Verás que los chinos son los que nos han engañado a los europeos. El origen de la expresión “te han engañado como a un chino”, que ahora se puede entender como racista, se remonta a los tiempos de Marco Polo y sus viajes a China, donde hacían muy ventajosos acuerdos comerciales… y ahora los chinos nos devuelven el engaño y me imagino a más de un dirigente chino muerto de risa y pensando, “¿Cómo son tan tontos estos europeos?”. Todo esto te lo voy a explicar. Pero antes de continuar os adelanto una cosa: En este video hay opinión, pero también muchos datos objetivos… Primero, la situación actual. Europa quiere ser un ejemplo de sostenibilidad y dicta normas para ello… normas que favorecen a los que más contaminan: Los chinos. En china todo este asunto de las emisiones cero y de las normas euro-lo-que-sea se las pasan por las narices… Es cierto que su tecnología de coches eléctricos es muy buena, pero os doy un dato: El 57 por ciento de la producción de electricidad en China se consigue quemando carbón… ¡toma ya ecología! Segundo: Las marcas europeas han caído en la trampa y han cavado su propia fosa. Han dado a los chinos justo lo que no tenían, tecnología. Tercero: Las propias marcas europeas, que piensan en su cuenta de resultados más que en los ciudadanos, venden coches chinos enmascarados de marcas europeas. Vamos con algunos datos para abriros los ojos. Fijaos: En 1982, China alcanza una población de 1.000 millones de habitantes… que son unos pocos. ¿Sabéis cuántos coches de turismo se fabricaron ese año en China? Os lo digo: 5.000 turismos. Podemos estimar que el parque de turismo difícilmente alcanzaba los 300.000 coches, lo que supone que unos 3 coches por cada 10.000 habitantes. Pero el crecimiento fue exponencial, llegando en 2003 a 173 coches por cada 10.000 habitantes. Por cerrar el tema, en el 2003 en China había un coche por cara 60 habitantes y en Japón más de un coche por cada 2 habitantes… había margen de crecimiento. Y, en efecto, el mercado chino era el más prometedor, el de mayor crecimiento del mundo y el más atractivo para las marcas. China lo tenía casi todo para convertirse en un país líder en la fabricación de coches. Tenía un mercado interior muy atractivo, con un margen de crecimiento muy alto, el mayor del mundo. Tenía mano de obra poco conflictiva y muy barata. Tenían espacio para hacer fábricas y ciudades… de hecho, hay ciudades que han nacido a la sombra de la fábrica de coche, motos, electrodomésticos o lo que sea. Y tenían mucho dinero, pero mucho. ¿Qué la faltaba? Pues tecnología… y pensaron, ¿quién tiene la mejor tecnología y puede estar abierto a llegar a acuerdos con nosotros? Por proximidad, Japón, pero Japón conocía bien el asunto y, además ya exportaba a lo bestia a China. Ya en 1985, China era el segundo mercado de exportación de la industria japonesa. Pues a lo europeos. Sedujeron a las marcas europeas con la idea de producir en China a mitad de precio y vender en China sin problemas todo lo que produjese … un buen anzuelo. Y los europeos “picamos” en ese anzuelo. ¿Por qué?, porque para instalarse en China era necesario asociarse a una empresa China. Y así, poco a poco y sin darse cuenta, se puede decir que los europeos formamos a los ingenieros chinos, a su mano de obra y les ayudamos a conocer el negocio… y así nacen las marcas cien por cien chinas… Seguro que cuando piensas en coches chinos piensas en coches modestos, utilitarios, baratos, vamos, “de mínimos” ya verás que no. Os voy a hacer un test: ¿Qué tienen es común estos coches? BMW iX3, Citroën C5X, DS9, Polestar 2 y 4, Volvo S90 y en el futuro los Audi A6 Avant E-Tron y probablemente los Cupra Tavascan. Pues tienen en común ser coches de marcas europeas, pero “Made in China”. Por cierto, como el Dacia Spring, el Smart 1 S los Tesla Model 3 y Model Y. Y es que uno de los peligros de China es que, a diferencia de las marcas europeas, no les hace ascos a los segmentos bajos, pero también está presente en los altos… con marcas chinas o “enmascaradas” como marcas europeas. Y los europeos no conformes con enseñar a nuestros futuros rivales como fabricar coches, les convertimos en nuestros principales proveedores. ¿Por qué lo digo? Sencillamente porque China es el país líder en la fabricación de baterías para coches. Pero lidera el mercado con margen, pues 2 de cada 3 baterías de coches que se fabrican en el Mundo, se fabrican en China. De hecho el 30 por ciento de los coches vendidos en China son eléctricos… que se recargan mayoritariamente a base de quemar carbón… Y es bien fácil deducir que si quieres fabricar coches eléctricos… pues necesitas baterías. Así que, además de enseñarles, les hacemos nuestro principal proveedor… ¡y estamos en sus manos! El año 2035 los chinos lo van a celebrar a lo grande… ¿A qué punto hemos llegado? Os doy algunos datos: - El 25 por ciento de los coches eléctricos vendidos en Europa son de fabricación china pero de marca europea. - China es el segundo país exportador de coches, solo superado por Japón, pero por delante por ejemplo de Alemania… - Muchos de los coches chinos vendidos en Europa no son coches de marcas chinas sino de marcas europeas… que fabrican en China. - China es el principal país productores de coches. Produce 3 veces más coches que USA y 4 veces más que Japón. - China lidera la fabricación de baterías de coches ecológicos… no solo por tecnología, sino por materias primas. - Todas estas baterías destinadas a coches ecológicos se producen en un país donde, como os decía, el 57 por ciento de la electricidad se produce de la manera más contaminante: Quemando carbón. - La normativa de emisiones de los coches en China es más laxa que en Europa… además no la cumplen… Los chinos se han “vengado” de Marco Polo y ahora han engañado a los europeos como a “chinos” … el país más contaminante del Mundo es el que más se beneficia de las normas anticontaminación. Coche del día. Voy a elegir un coche chino… pero “de los de antes”. El coche de los ministros, el Hongqi CA770 (1966-1981). Su nombre, en chino, significa “bandera roja” … creo que no necesita aclaración. Era un coche fabricado para los grandes mandatarios chinos, mientras los chinos de “a pie”, no tenían opciones de comprar un coche. Una curiosidad para tener en el garaje.

France's plugin electric vehicle (EV) market share reached 23.8% in February, with full electrics driving the growth, while traditional combustion-only powertrains declined to 49%. The Dacia Spring remains the best-selling full electric, followed by Tesla's Model Y and Peugeot e208. Mazda North American Operations reported its best-ever February sales in the US, while the newly introduced Mazda MX-30 electric vehicle (EV) is not selling well in the US with only two sales in February. A minority German political party, the Free Democratic Party (FDP), is attempting to block the EU regulation to ban internal combustion light vehicles by 2035. The FDP wants biofuel-powered vehicles to be exempt, hoping to support the German car industry, but the EU regulation is necessary to ensure the transition to fully electric vehicles. General Motors (GM) has announced its partnership with Samsung SDI to build a joint venture plant in Michigan, USA, marking the company's second partnership with an automaker in North America. The plant will have an annual production capacity of 50 GWh. Li Auto is building an 800 V high-voltage supercharging station in China, indicating preparations for a transition to pure electric vehicles. The company plans to accumulate 3,000 supercharging stations by 2025. Tesla has reduced the price of new inventory Model 3 and Model Y vehicles in Europe by 1.5% to 7%, with savings varying across different countries. This likely comes as Tesla looks to increase its market share in the competitive European market, following similar strategies it has implemented in China. Tesla will start selling the Carbon Ceramic Brake Kit for the Model S Plaid, enabling the sporty sedan to reach its advertised top speed of 200 mph. The kit will cost $20,000 and is expected to be released in limited quantities. Tesla is recalling 3,470 Model Y cars due to an issue with seat bolts that could affect the seat belt system in a collision. Unlike previous recalls that could be resolved via over-the-air software updates, this recall requires a physical fix. Our Next Energy has been selected by BHE Renewables to provide energy storage units to a solar-powered manufacturing hub in West Virginia worth $500 million. The EV battery startup will also build a factory on the site to assemble more battery storage systems. EverCharge and PassKey are collaborating to develop a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) to supplement EverCharge's EV charging stations. The BESS will be used to consolidate power during off-peak hours and deploy the energy via EV charging stations during periods of high demand. Lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery technology, which is prevalent in China, is gaining ground in the US electric vehicle market as manufacturers look to embrace its cheaper cost and safety, despite holding less energy per pound than nickel-rich batteries. Our Next Energy will begin producing LFP batteries in Michigan this month, expanding next year after opening a new $1.6bn plant, and by 2027, it intends to supply enough LFP batteries for 200,000 EVs. Incoming Toyota CEO Koji Sato is calling for big changes in the way Toyota does business after the company acknowledged that Tesla has leapfrogged them in battery-powered cars, inspiring Toyota to regroup and find better solutions. Toyota is already working on a new EV platform to go into production in 2026. Greenpeace has lodged a complaint with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC) accusing Toyota Australia of greenwashing, claiming the car manufacturer's claims about its environmental credentials are misleading. The complaint comes after an ACCC review found that 57% of 247 Australian companies reviewed had made "concerning" claims about their environmental credentials. Xcel Energy's plan to install approximately 730 EV fast chargers in Minnesota, which would make it the largest utility-owned charging system in the country, has sparked opposition from various stakeholders, including the gas station and EV charging industries, the Minnesota Department of Commerce, and consumers. While Xcel hopes to jump-start the slow EV market in Minnesota, critics argue that Xcel's market power as a monopoly utility would crowd out private investment, ultimately slowing EV growth. Over two-thirds of planned lithium-ion battery production in Europe is at risk of being delayed, scaled down or cancelled, due to American subsidies and slow permitting processes, warns a report by Transport & Environment. Without EU-wide financial support to scale up battery production, Europe will not be able to satisfy its battery demand in 2030 and will need to import from foreign rivals. Electric vehicle charging infrastructure is vulnerable to cyberattacks, according to cybersecurity experts. There are concerns that the rush to create a comprehensive charging infrastructure could come at the expense of cybersecurity.

GERMANY'S PLUGIN EV SHARE UP TO 24.3% Germany, Europe's largest auto market, saw plugin electric vehicles take 24.3% share in April 2022, up from 22.1% YoY. Overall auto volume was down, by over 21% YoY, and over 40% compared to pre-pandemic seasonal norms. April's combined plugin result comprised 12.3% battery electrics (BEVs), and 12.0% plugin hybrids (PHEVs). Combustion-only powertrains faired worst in terms of volume drop, with diesel sales down almost 30% YoY, and petrol down almost 28%. With current BEV market leader Tesla not having any large scheduled deliveries in April, other marques and models had a chance to shine, with the Fiat 500e coming out on top. The Mercedes EQB stepped up in registered volume by some 5× over the period, seeing a healthy 1,405 units over the February to April period, from 295 previously. The BMW i4 increased 2.7× to 755 units. This momentum continued in the first quarter of 2022, when -- despite all the challenges -- the Chinese NEV market posted a 140 percent year-on-year growth. - On Thursday, the company launched the production of BMW i3, tailormade for the Chinese market, at its new plant, dubbed Lydia, in Shenyang, northeast China. Ford will be selling the shares through Goldman Sachs, sources said. - Shares of the EV manufacturer have plummeted by more than 50% in the first three months of 2022, reversing course from the fourth quarter, when the company held its stock market debut and saw its value skyrocket. "A net loss of $3.1 billion was primarily attributable to a mark-to-market loss of $5.4 billion on the company's investment in Rivian. Adjusted earnings before interest and taxes were $2.3 billion," Ford said. - Rivian shares have slumped 72.2% this year.
