Welcome back to The Switch! This one's about bearing fruit—even when no one's picking it. We kick it off with the story of Macario Martinez, a street sweeper turned viral musician. Everybody sees the blow-up... nobody saw the years of showing up.Switch-it-up Steps:The Tree Was Always There:Macario was posting, creating, working—and nobody was stopping by his “tree.” But the fruit was there. That one night, someone picked it—and everything changed. The Only Thing You Can Control is the Song:You don't control who shares it, likes it, or goes viral. You control the work. That's it. Same with this podcast, same with any creative project.Don't Let Your Fruit Rot:If you have talent, if you've got something inside—you have to express it. We talked about how buying fruit and letting it sit til it goes bad is just like letting your gift rot. If you don't use it, it's wasted.I Gave Up Before:Oscar opens up about how he stopped before—subconsciously thinking “what's the point?” But now? He's back. New season, new commitment to showing up and sharing the fruit.Overnight Doesn't Mean Easy:We get into Macario's so-called “overnight success” and how fast rise can mean fast fall. One-hit-wonder bands, viral moments, the whole thing. You have to build the roots, not just chase the spotlight.Be the Connector:Eric shares a moment from that day—how he helped connect someone to the right person. That's what it takes. Somebody shared Macario's video. Someone connected the dots. Who are you helping shine today?Gratitude + The Share:As always, we close it out with what we're grateful for, and a reminder:Share this episode with someone who needs to hear it. Be the one who picks the fruit and passes it on.Stay Connected:Catch Eric: @infinitetalkspodCatch Oscar: @happyoscarstudioDon't wait for the perfect moment. Bear fruit anyway. Someone will come by.

Amazing, but looks ain't ev'rythin' and money ain't ev'rythin' US loves you just the same.Last week, Gold rejoiced over the Davos World Economic Forum follies. SCRIPTURE: Philippians 2:19-30 SHOW NOTES: We invite you to subscribe to our ministry website – Discover God's Truth – where you will find resources to encourage you in your Walk with God. What does it mean to do the work of Christ? To serve the Lord? Jesus came to serve, and He paid the ultimate price... on the cross... for our sins. Out of gratitude for His unspeakable gift, we serve Him and live our lives to bring glory to God. "But you know Timothy's proven worth, how as a son with a father he has served with me in the gospel. I hope, therefore, to send him just as soon as I see how it will go with me, and I trust in the Lord that shortly I myself will come also. " Philippians 2:22-24 How has Timothy proven worth? His faithful service to Jesus Christ. Paul offered kind and truthful words of commendation for his ministry partner, Timothy. Now, he speaks to them about one of their church leaders, Epaphroditus. "So, receive him in the Lord with all joy, and honor such men, for he nearly died for the work of Christ, risking his life to complete what was lacking in your service to me. " Philippians 2:29-30In these verses, Paul strongly commends Timothy and Epaphroditus. They have served, suffered, and fought for the Gospel message. Receive them with great joy! For over 50 years, For the Strength of Youth has been a guide for generations of Latter-day Saint youth. I always keep a copy in my pocket, and I share it with people who are curious about our standards. It has been updated and refreshed to better cope with the challenges and temptations of our day. The new version of For the Strength of Youth is available online in 50 different languages and will also be available in print. It will be a significant help for making choices in your life. Please embrace it as your own and share it with your friends. This new version of For the Strength of Youth is subtitled A Guide for Making Choices. To be very clear, the best guide you can possibly have for making choices is Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the strength of youth. So the purpose of For the Strength of Youth is to point you to Him. It teaches you eternal truths of His restored gospel—truths about who you are, who He is, and what you can accomplish with His strength. It teaches you how to make righteous choices based on those eternal truths.13 It's also important to know what For the Strength of Youth does not do. It doesn't make decisions for you. It doesn't give you a “yes” or “no” about every choice you might ever face. For the Strength of Youth focuses on the foundation for your choices. It focuses on values, principles, and doctrine instead of every specific behavior. The Lord, through His prophets, has always been guiding us in that direction. He is pleading with us to “increase [our] spiritual capacity to receive revelation.”14 He is inviting us to “hear Him.”15 He is calling us to follow Him in higher and holier ways.16 And we are learning in a similar way every week in Come, Follow Me. Today, our interdenominational Christian ministry serves the poor in primarily 17 countries throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. Thanks to our faithful donors, we are able to provide food, housing, healthcare, education, fresh water, emergency relief, micro-enterprise solutions and much more. We are proud to have fed millions of people and provided more than 15.7 billion dollars in aid. Our faith inspires us to be an organization built on compassion, and motivated by love. Our mission is to bring relief to the poorest of the poor in the countries where we serve. We strive to reflect God's unconditional love. It's a sacrificial love that embraces all people regardless of race or religion. We believe that we can show His love by serving the “least of these” on this earth as Christ challenged us to do in Matthew 25. We pray that by God's grace, and with your support, we can continue to bring relief to the suffering and hope to the hopeless. --------------------------------------------------------

Then we invite Dom to discuss one of his segment ideas: Not the Song You're Thinking Of, which takes a look at songs that have the same title as huge hits of the 80s, like "Freedom", "I'm Your Man", "Trouble" and "The Power of Love". Song: You're Still My ManSong by: Whitney HoustonSong written by: Gerry Goffin & Michael MasserKeyboardist: Gail NoblesAcapella vocals: Gail NoblesPhoto credit: PH2 Mark Kettenhofen - DefenseImageryUsage: Public DomainYou're Still My Man is a song written by Gerry Goffin and Michael Masser. It came from the Album “Whitney” released in 1987. I remember hearing it maybe once or twice on the radio. It sounded like a number one hit to my ears. I had faith in the song. I never heard a ballad quite like that one before. For some reason, I heard other songs on the Whitney Album more times than I heard “You're Still My Man”. That's how it is sometimes, and in those days, if you didn't buy the album, sometimes you didn't hear some of the songs because not all songs were played on the radio. And then again, depending on the radio station, sometimes all the songs on a album were played. Most songs on Whitney's album were played except two or three I don't remember. You're Still My Man was played, and I think it should have been played more. I don't recall Whitney performing “You're Still My Man” whenever she appeared on television. She could have in concerts, but I have never been to any of her concerts. You're Still My Man is an uplifting song for a man missing a woman that he's apart from. From a woman that he knows still loves him, and the song is good for the woman too if she feels like the lyrics said. The lyrics had words like: On the day that you left meYou said you had no regretsThere's a bond between us That hasn't been broken yetAnd the feelings between usWill never disappearHow can you be far awayWhen your spirit's hereYou're still my man …And Whitney Houston brought out those words into hearing with a beautiful voice. Singing words that go something like this … (Singing)You're listening to the Whitney Soul Podcast. Im your host, Gail Nobles.
The Fear Factor “No God, know fear……. Know God, no fear!” Today I would like to share with you on a negative emotion, that will from time to time, rush into your life, with the potential to harm you, either physically, emotionally or spiritually! Many of us are so aware of this negative “fear factor”, this emotion that will render us useless for God's kingdom, yet we allow the enemy to control our minds with fearful negative thoughts! You see church, fear is perverted faith, as someone once said that you can't have them both, you can't have faith and fear at the same time, amen church? Even as we realise that fear is a human emotion or instinct, we are reminded in God's Word not to fear anything! Psalm 27:1-3 (NIV) – The Lord is my light and my salvation whom shall, I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life of whom shall I be afraid? 2When the wicked advance against me to devour me, it is my enemies and my foes who will stumble and fall. 3Though an army besiege me, my heart will not fear; though war break out against me, even then I will be confident. Psalm 23:4 (NIV) – Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. You see church, fear has a way of limiting us, holding us back, preventing us from growth & reaching our full potential in Christ! Fear has a way of preventing many from overcoming, being conquerors, and thus playing right into the enemy's hands. How many times would we rather choose to believe the lie that we cannot achieve or accomplish, that our dreams will never materialise, and we allow this lie to rule our lives & simply don't do anything about it! We are ignorant to God's Word! Phil. 4:13(I can do all things...) Today I would like to touch on a few “types” of fear that are so prevalent, predominant in many lives! Fear of man: When we are being intimidated with what people may say & think of us, or what we may say to them! “I don't care what people say about me, it's alright, they'll get it someday” (Song) You see church, I would rather be obedient to the calling on my life than be offended by what people will say about me! Proverbs 29:25 (NIV) – Fear of man will prove to be a snare, but whoever trust in the Lord is kept safe. Another negative fear is the emotion of what others can do to me. Psalm 118: 6 (NIV) - “The Lord is with me, I will not be afraid, what can mere mortals do to me?” What can people do to me? Psalm 56:4 (NIV) - “In God, whose Word I praise, I put my trust and are not afraid. What can mere mortals do to me?” This includes almost anything that people can do to harm one another, but God's Word in Romans 8:31b - “If God is for me, who can be against me?” Luke 12:4 (NIV) – “I tell you, my friends, do not be afraid of those who kill the body and after that can do no more.” After killing me, they can do no more, so why should I fear what man can do to me? The 3rd fear (negative) emotion: Fear of the future/unknown You will find this in the lives of many, even Christians! “But because He lives, I can face tomorrow, all fear is gone” (song) Because of the uncertainty of tomorrow, we tend to worry & fear the future. (Did I do enough to save up for old age, what will happen if my health should fail me? Etc.) But in the meantime, we miss out on what we already have…. The present with all God's blessings & favour, amen. Yesterday is gone, nothing you can do about that, tomorrow is not guaranteed. All we have is today, so make it count! Psalm 54:4 (NIV) – Surely God is my help; the Lord is the one who sustains me. 4th Negative fear: Fear of the past Many people are so past possessed, that they cannot be future focused! They have a fear that the past failures & mistakes will repeat itself again! You are so intimidated by the past that you refuse to step out, be who God created you to be, your past (with all its mistakes & failures are actually ruling over you) Eina. We live with this “what if” mentality: What if I fail again, what if I get hurt again, what if … what if? Well not “what if” ….”But if” God is for you, you have no past amen? Dis vir baie mense moeilik om op die toekoms te konsentreer want hulle focus is nog op die verlede! God says clearly in His Word Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) – 18”Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. 19See, I am doing a new thing, now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.” Leave your past, in the past! Many people are so haunted by the past failures, sin & transgressions, but 1 John 1:9 (NIV) – If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. I would now like to share on the only healthy fear we're supposed to have, Anybody? Proverbs 10:27 (NIV) – The fear of the Lord adds length to life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. Proverbs 1:29 (NIV) – Since they hated knowledge and did not choose to fear the Lord. This fear of the Lord is not in “afraid” but in reverence, om God-vresend te wees, om God eerbiedig te wees. How sad is it in our modern society, where we have a complete lack of this daily? On TV, newspaper, social media, etc. There is little or no respect for God and His name is being used as an expression of anger & bitterness! The reverent fear of God should be an integral part of every Christian's life, amen church? It is then that we can put our faith, hope & trust in Him completely…. It is then when He really becomes the “limitless” God and we can say with confidence Ps. 27:3 … even then will I be confident (not fearful). Isaiah 41:10 (NIV) – “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.” Isaiah 43:1 (NIV) – But now, this is what the Lord says- He who created you, Jacobs, He who formed you, Israel: “Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are Mine.” God Himself is giving us the assurance that we don't have to fear anything. No fear of death, fear of man, fear of the future or failure. NOTHING AT ALL Because God did not give us a Spirit of fear … All we need to do is to stand on His Word, believe in it & apply it in our lives (God is “n waar-maker van sy Woord). May God bless this Word to us all, so that we can go into this world, knowing fully, that we don't have to fear anything! Amen
Hey there, my wise friends and welcome to the last episode of Season 7 of Collective Wisdom. I can't believe we've got this far. Song: You and ISong by: Crystal Gayle & Eddie RabbittPodcast Vocals by: Gail NoblesKeyboardist: Gail NoblesToday, I'm thinking of Crystal Gayle and Eddie Rabbitt, and their duet “ You and I”. It was a song that made it to number one on the U.S. Billboard Country chart for week. On the Billboard Hot 100, the song spent 29 weeks on the chart, peaking at number 7 and making it the 12th biggest song of the year. And together they would sing these words …(singing)A song like that can put you in a romance mood. It was released in 1982 as the first single from Rabbit's eighth studio album. “ You.and I became a major country pop crossover hit for both artists. What a beautiful duet. We need more love songs like that today. EddIe Rabbit and Crystal Gayle sound beautiful together. They made a classic song. A song for lovers. Eddie and Crystal made beautiful harmony.Whenever I saw them singing together, they would sing the song as if they had that kind of relationship. Eddie and Crystal made the song sound emotional. You're listening to the Cat Bear. I'm you're host, Gail Nobles.

“Between His attributes no contradiction can exist. He need not suspend one to exercise another, for in Him all His attributes are one.”AW Tozer Last week in Revelation 2:20-22We talked about some of the things the Lord takes issue with, and the spirit of Jezebel and how many believers of that day were seduced by it, we saw that the Lord will not allow those who reject his mercy to go on committing sin. He see's the big picture and disrupts sinful patterns for the sake of future generations.Today is the continuation of this discourse found in Revelation 2:23-25Continuing in reference to those who refuse to repent of this wicked Jezebel spirit of the day, we will start with verse 22 from last week:Behold, I will throw her onto a sickbed, and those who commit adultery with her I will throw into great tribulation, unless they repent of her works, and I will strike her children dead. And all the churches will know that I am he who searches mind and heart, and I will give to each of you according to your works. But to the rest of you in Thyatira who do not hold this teaching, who have not learned what some call the deep things of Satan, to you I say, I do not lay on you any other burden. Only hold fast what you have until I come.Revelation 2:22-25 (ESV)The List:1. He would take lives of even children for the sake of t2. He is committed to having all the churches recognize that He is paying attention.3. He searches the minds of all believers.4. He searches the hearts of all believers.5. He will give each of us what we are deserving of according to our works…This could be good or bad for us depending on our works.6. Those who are not following the wicked teaching or the Deep things of Satan, He will not give additional burden7. He has advice for those that are not following wickedness which is, HOLD FAST to what we have or don't let what you have be taken8. He is coming back. He is the rescuer and answer to the wickedness. Declarations:Jesus, we trust you.You would take the lives of even children to pull your bride from satans clutches of hell. You are committed to getting the attention of your churchYou search my mind, you know my thoughts JesusYou search my heart, you know the deep things, what moves me, my emotions and responsesYou will give each person according to our works. You do not add burden to us for the sins and wickedness around usYou want us to Hold fast to all you've given us, especially when our surroundings are difficult. You are coming back, you are the rescuer, the answer to all the wickedness and the satanic, jezebel spirit, the spirit of this age. You are the answer Song: You're Committed To Me You are committed to getting my attentionYou are committed to me (repeat) You search my heart for wickednessYou search my mind for unrighteousness You are committed to me You're committed to me You won't leave me in my sinBut you're pulling me throughYou're pulling me through (repeat) Rescuer, you're the answer to my sinCome Lord soon, you are the answer to what's going on Would you like to hear some of the songs that I release for future episodes? Song: You're the LoveSong by: Seals and CroftsPodcast vocals: Gail NoblesKeyboard player: Gail NoblesYou're listening to the sound of Radiae on Sound Flave. Remember Seals and Crofts? “You're the Love”. Their song went something like this …. (Singing).I don't turn the radio on while driving through town. I was at the red light and nobody was moving. I looked both ways. Nothing was coming. As I began to turn right on red, that's when a big truck out of nowhere came. The driver was honking the horn and grinning. I almost ran into him and didn't see anything funny. Of course, I didn't have the radio on. I need total concentration. I don't turn music on until I'm on the country road. Right now, you're listening to Radiae. Now, getting back to Seals and Crofts. Their song “You're the Love” is a 1978 song. The song reached number 18 on the US Billboard Hot 100, and in Canada it spent two weeks at number eight. It has a soft rock & disco sound. Jim Seals and Dash Crofts are the names of the soft rock duo. …
The word 'God' usually signifies 'Lord', but every lord is not a God. It is the dominion of a spiritual being which constitutes a God― Isaac Newton So last week we started our journey in Revelation 1:1-4. Today we are going to focus on Revelation 1:5-6and from Jesus Christ the faithful witness, the firstborn of the dead, and the ruler of kings on earth. To him who loves us and has freed us from our sins by his blood and made us a kingdom, priests to his God and Father, to him be glory and dominion forever and ever. Amen. -Revelation 1:5-6 (ESV)The List:1) Jesus is the faithful witness. 2) Jesus is the firstborn of the dead3) Jesus is the ruler over the kings of the earth4) He loves us5) His blood has freed us from our sins6) He has made us a Kingdom (Jesus made a Kingdom order)7) Again he has made us. (Jesus included us as a part of his Kingdom)8) We are priests in Jesus kingdom(Our role in the kingdom is that of a priest, that is a huge topic. But the general idea is…we get to be close to the King and love on and minister to Him)9) Jesus answers to God ("Priests to his God") 10) God is Jesus' Father (“God and Father”)11) Jesus is gets the Glory Forever12) Jesus has dominion (or some would say ruling power forever) Declarations:Jesus, you are the faithful witness. You are faithful You are the firstborn from the deadYou rule over the Kings of the earth…from Kings past to to rules now and not yetYour shed blood has freed me from my sinsYou created a KingdomYou made me part of that KingdomYou made me a priest in your KingdomYou submit to God's willGod is your fatherYou will get all the glory forever. You will rule and reign Your dominion will last forever. This Week's Song: You loved usYour blood has freed usYou loved us Your blood has freed us You have made me a priestIn your kingdom Forever, giving you the gloryYou have dominion foreverThis is your eternal pleasure You will get the all the glory foreverYou will reignYour dominion will last foreverYou built your kingdomYou brought me inTo worship to the KingTo love you without ceasing Jesus You are King of Kings Find Johan's music for future episodes here on the blog or get it delivered to your podcast player through the premium feed. Cutting Through the Matrix with Alan Watt Podcast (.xml Format)
Listen to a special blurb: Alan speaks with Butch Chancellor, of Missouri (USA). Butch's bedridden wife Martha was taken to a hospital this week, after a neighbor was asked, by Butch, to call an ambulance. He wished Martha to be checked for a behavior change in the last few days. The neighbor phoned 911. This call brought an unexpected SWAT Team into their home, where Butch was detained and questioned (by armed black-clad men), before the "real" ambulance came. Calls to the hospital give continuously changing information about Martha's condition, and false allegations have been inferred upon Butch. Social Services and hospital "policies" may prevent Martha from ever returning home again. Hear how an emergency visit to the hospital, eleven years prior, left Martha paralyzed and unable to speak. Butch speaks of the events leading to and after the ordeal; it's a story that must be heard. (Song: "You and Me" by Charles Aznavour) *Dialogue Copyrighted Alan Watt - May 24, 2007 (Exempting Music and Literary Quotes)
