Ever wondered how scurvy, scorpions, and strip clubs are connected? Let's embark on a rollercoaster of a conversation that stretches from citrus fruits and pet antics to the unexpected twists of celebrity scenarios you never knew you needed. You'll hear colorful stories about our unforgettable Mardi Gras trip and the wild detours we took along the way, all while sharing laughs over some seriously bizarre imaginations involving Brad Pitt and Kim Basinger. It's a joyful romp through the absurdities of life that will leave you grinning.Shifting from the absurd to the impactful, we explore how Robert Propst's revolutionary office designs reshaped the modern workspace. Imagine the chaos of the bullpens of yesteryear, and you'll appreciate how Propst's cubicle concept brought a much-needed balance between privacy and productivity. This historical pivot opens a wider conversation about its socio-economic ripple effects, highlighting issues like workers' rights, corporate power dynamics, and the ongoing battles of the middle class in today's economy. Finally, we plunge into the eerie world of workplace horror, where mundane office settings transform into chilling narratives. Whether it's the psychological tension of "Exam," the chaos of "Office Uprising," or the corporate nightmares of "Severance," these stories speak to the deeper anxieties we have about work and capitalism. We dissect films like "Mayhem" and "Vampire's Kiss" for their unique takes on horror in the workspace, debating the nuances of their narratives. Plus, we sprinkle in some playful musings on supporting local businesses and wrap it all up with our trademark quirky send-off.
Und was würde eigentlich Jesus tun? Crashkurs in Sachen Liebe.

This is a strange episode, folks. Settle in. Lots of random stuff. A high school hoops "incident" that has produced more questions than answers. The Diss Track about the incident that led to a rapper/BC student being expelled from Benedictine and why there is precedent for these kinds of things (starts at 19:15). We start with the awful news out of Athens last weekend, the deaths of Devin Willock, Chandler LaCroy; Plus, some local HSBB Top-6 Drama (St. Andrew's makes its case), the Savannah Mall closes while 'Big Shots Golf' launches plans. And oh yeah, that Rush Propst guy is back as a HSFB coach. NFTs are expected to transform the artwork world not only on how the art is sold but also on how we value art. They will not only lead to digital artwork but also transparency since the blockchain ledgers are stored in public and are validated by different people. In this episode, we have a conversation on Artwork and NFT with Brian Propst. Brian is the Creative Director and Artist of Propst and Sons Sports. Netflix released its docu-series on the Propst and the VHS football program, "Titletown High," on Friday, Aug. 27. Bingham interviews two of his 1980 Festus High School classmates, Mrs. Julie Holland, and Mr. Jim Propst. Together they examine how their hometown Festus was and is a model for race relations. Festus and Crystal City, “twin cities,” have a combined population of about 16,000 people, is 95% white, 3% black and race relations is like none other. Holland and Propst talk about their experiences with people of color growing up in Festus. The three classmates discuss the significance of the 1943 Emma Jane Lee v. The Festus School Board federal pay equalization case. Emma Jane Lee was one of the five Douglass teachers represented by the great David Grant and the first African American Supreme Court Justice, Thurgood Marshall. Bingham, Holland and Propst also talk about the Douglass and Festus High School immediate integration in 1955 led by the white superintendent of schools, Ralph B. Tynes. Other than the Little Rock Nine in 1957, it was well into the 1960s before schools in the south experienced integration. In addition, 65 years later schools are still segregated in the south and black children are paying the price. Festus implemented the Nike slogan “Just Do It” before it was even thought about. Bingham's grandfather was one of the first five Douglass graduates in 1940. These stories and a lot more are written about in his most recent book, The Douglass Connection. The Berto Talks podcast delivers compelling, life changing, and eye opening conversations on the topic of success based on Malcom Gladwell's Outliers novel.
“I know what to do, I just don't do it!” “I'm always getting in my own way!” “I seem to always stress eat- why am I sabotaging myself?!?” Emotional eating, feeling like you are sabotaging your own success, and feeling overwhelmed with stress are 3 of the most common things that all too often keep many of us in healthcare from living healthy lives ourselves! So what's the answer? WHY is overcoming this so hard? And, for that matter, HOW do we get out of our own way?!? There is no one better in the world to address these issues head-on than Dr. Kori Propst, PhD, who is arguably the world's best health psychologist. I am honored to have her on this episode of the podcast to share her wisdom in helping YOU to empower yourself and eliminate these common barriers to break through! HomeRiver Group was formed in 2016 by combining several leading single-family-rental property management companies from around the country. Their multistate footprint and unified national platform position it to provide clients with a unique combination of deep local market knowledge and centralized operational, asset management and reporting capabilities. Andy's got over 15 years of experience in the industry and today we're going to be talking about how people can actually make money in this industry by running a property management business as a business.
