(Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Timothy Reed Mexican cartel violence forces families to flee The Mexican state of Guerrero is seeing major drug cartel violence from the group Los Ardillos, forcing families and local citizens to flee. Mexican national forces are almost nowhere to be seen in the region, and according to Marina Velascho, representative of the People's Indigenous Council of Guerrero, “These have been days of terror. They've been bombing communities with drones, and how can one defend themselves from a drone, with bombs falling from the sky.”  Elderly Protestant missionary kidnapped by Mexican drug thugs The recent violence in the Mexican state of Guerrero is also affecting Christians. Benito Guevara Arcos, a 79-year-old Protestant missionary, disappeared from the area in recent weeks. An organized criminal group had kidnapped the missionary after taking exception to his preaching. Sadly, disappearances in Mexico have surged over 200 percent in the last decade. Anna Stangl with Christian Solidarity Worldwide said, “We urge the Mexican government, at all levels, to increase efforts to arrest the influence of organized criminal groups in the country, recognizing the specific threat that these groups pose to religious leaders.” In John 10:10, Jesus said, “The thief comes to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  Trump lumps in radical transgenders with Islamic terrorists In the United States, the Trump administration is cracking down on transgender ideology and the radical left. Transgenderism is identified as a major threat in the United States' newly released Counterterrorism Strategy for 2026. Far left groups have been placed on a watch list. The document stated, “In addition to cartels and Islamist terror groups, our national count terrorism activities will also prioritize the rapid identification and neutralization of violent secular political groups whose ideology is anti-American, radically pro-transgender, and anarchist.”  Marty Makary, who oversaw generic Abortion Kill Pill, out at FDA Dr. Marty Makary is out as commissioner of the Food and Drug Administration, reports The Western Journal. He announced his resignation Tuesday, May 12th, amid policy differences with President Donald Trump and prominent Republican senators, reports Politico. Kyle Diamantas, who previously worked as the top food official at the agency, will lead the FDA in an acting capacity. Makary has received backlash for his handling of the Abortion Kill Pill and vaccines. Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, had called for Makary to be ousted. She wrote, “This is a five-alarm crisis for the pro-life movement and for the GOP. The GOP cannot win without its base and simply will not get the enthusiasm that drives turnout without leadership from the top.” Republican Senator Josh Hawley of Missouri tweeted, “This is welcome news. Dr. Makary was uniquely destructive to the pro-life movement. He attempted to place pro-abortion lawyers in key positions. He slow-walked a vitally necessary review of the abortion drug mifepristone. He used his discretion to approve a new abortion drug when the data shows it sends 1 in 10 women to the emergency room. He froze out prolife leaders and repeatedly stonewalled Congress. His resignation is an opportunity for the FDA to reset.” Southwest Airlines paid $1 million to fired pro-life stewardess Life News reports that Southwest Airlines paid nearly one million dollars to a pro-life stewardess last week. Charlene Carter had worked as a flight attendant for over 20 years. In 2017, she sent a message to the Transport Workers Union, protesting its support for abortion. She sued after the union and Southwest Airlines fired her for her pro-life speech. The recent settlement ends a nine-year legal battle. The National Right to Work Foundation represented Carter in the lawsuit. Listen to comments from Mark Mix, the president of National Right to Work Foundation. MIX: “What ended up as a long battle ended up well for Charlene Carter, and hopefully spreads the word to other employees that want to speak up on issues related to their beliefs and their ideas. The union can't thwart that. And that's what this case is all about.” Prices continue to skyrocket The prices of goods and services in the U.S. continued to rise last month.  The Labor Department reported inflation was up 3.8 percent in April compared to a year earlier. It's the biggest annual increase since 2023. Meanwhile, wages only grew 3.6 percent from April last year. This means inflation outpaced wage growth for the first time since 2023. Since the Iran war, Americans are seeing higher prices particularly for gasoline, electricity, and food.  50% of 18 to 24-year-old Christians are reading Bible weekly And finally, a new report found young Christians are engaging with the Bible more than older generations. The Patmos Youth Report surveyed nearly 30,000 young respondents around the world.  The report found half of Christians aged 18-24 read the Bible on a weekly basis. That level of Bible engagement is higher than older generations. Bible engagement was particularly high in the regions of Latin America and Sub-Saharan Africa.   Psalm 144:12 and 15 says, “May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, our daughters like corner pillars cut for the structure of a palace . . . Blessed are the people to whom such blessings fall! (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Adam McManus Christians in Afghanistan have to remain invisible to survive Being known as a Christian in Taliban-controlled Afghanistan brings lethal danger. In this country of 44 million people, Muslims comprise more than 99.7% of the population, reports International Christian Concern. Not long after the Taliban retook control of Afghanistan in August 2021, they declared that no Christians were remaining in the country. Though the Taliban claimed no Christians remained, Christians still exist—surviving only by remaining invisible. The Taliban reportedly searched door to door and through smartphones, hunting for any signs of Christian conversion. This reality highlights the core argument: Afghan Christians must stay hidden to survive. The situation also became highly precarious for other religious minorities, including Sikhs, Hindus, and the country's last Jewish resident. According to Open Doors, Afghanistan is the 11th most dangerous country for Christians worldwide. In John 15:19, Jesus said to His disciples, “If you belonged to the world, it would love you as its own. As it is, you do not belong to the world, but I have chosen you out of the world. That is why the world hates you.” Trump withdraws 5,000 troops from Germany The United States will withdraw 5,000 troops from Germany in the next six to 12 months, the Pentagon said Friday, fulfilling President Donald Trump's threat as he clashes with the German leader over the U.S. war with Iran, reports the Associated Press. Trump had threatened to withdraw some troops from the NATO ally earlier this week after German Chancellor Friedrich Merz said the U.S. was being “humiliated” by the Iranian leadership and criticized Washington's lack of strategy in the war. Germany hosts several U.S. military facilities, including the headquarters of its European and Africa commands, Ramstein Air Base and a medical center in Landstuhl, where casualties from the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq were treated. U.S. nuclear missiles are also stationed in the country. The number of troops leaving Germany would be 14% of the 36,000 American service members stationed there. News of the troop withdrawal drew swift pushback from Democrats in Congress as well as a hawkish Washington think tank. They said the move will benefit Russian President Vladimir Putin and weaken U.S. security interests. Bradley Bowman, a scholar at the Foundation for Defense of Democracies, said the U.S. military's presence in Germany and elsewhere in Europe “not only strengthens deterrence against additional Kremlin aggression but also facilitates the projection of American military power into the Mediterranean, the Middle East, and Africa.” Federal appeals court blocks mail-order abortion pills Ready for some great pro-life news? On May 1st, a federal court issued a ruling that temporarily blocked the ability to send the Abortion Kill Pill by mail. Of American mothers who abort, 63% choose to use abortion drugs. If ultimately upheld, this decision could save tens of thousands of babies from abortions, reports LifeNews.com. A panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in New Orleans temporarily blocked a Biden administration rule allowing the abortion drug, mifepristone, to be dispensed through the mail. Marjorie Dannenfelser, the president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, called the ruling “a huge victory for victims and survivors of Biden's reckless mail-order abortion drug regime. We are so grateful for the tenacity of [Louisiana] Attorney General Liz Murrill, abortion drug coercion survivor Rosalie Markezich, and all our allies demanding action. “Women and children suffer and state sovereignty is violated every day the Food and Drug Administration allows abortion drugs to flood the mail – harms that are no mere accident, but predictable outcomes of the FDA's unscientific removal of safeguards like in-person doctor visits.” Republican State candidate found dead An investigation is underway into the death of a Republican state Senate candidate in Oklahoma who was found dead in his pickup truck on April 30th in a wildlife refuge, reports The Western Journal. Barry Christian, a candidate for state Senate District 38, had disappeared on April 28th, according to KOCO-TV. The Beckham County Sheriff's Office said a hunter reported to authorities that he had seen the wreck of a pickup truck that appeared to have crashed off a high ridge. 149th anniversary of God's locust miracle in Minnesota And finally, from 1873 to 1877, grasshoppers, also known as locusts, destroyed hundreds of thousands of acres of crops in Minnesota, leaving eggs in the soil for the next season. On April 26, 1877, Minnesota Republican Governor John Pillsbury declared a statewide day of prayer and fasting to combat a devastating four-year Rocky Mountain locust plague, which was threatening widespread starvation.  Schools and businesses closed, with many residents taking the day seriously, asking God for deliverance. Shortly after the day of prayer, an unseasonable cold snap and snow arrived, freezing and killing millions of hatching larvae grasshopper nymphs. It was divine intervention. God answered their prayers. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Kevin Swanson and Timothy Reed Court awards Christian photographer $800,000 over discrimination Christian photographer Chelsey Nelson has scored an $800,000 settlement from the city of Louisville, Kentucky. That comes after city officials tried to force her to photograph and promote homosexual weddings. Bryan Neihart, Senior Counsel at Alliance Defending Freedom, worked on the case. His take is that “the government cannot force Americans to say things they don't believe. For almost six years, Louisville officials tried to do just that by threatening to force Chelsey to promote views about marriage that violated her religious beliefs.” Chelsey said she hoped people would see the reason she fought for her free speech, even if they don't agree with her. NELSON: “What I wish more of them would understand is that I'm actually fighting for their right to create consistent with their beliefs, even though it's a separate worldview and belief system from my own.” “My witness to my children is very important to me. I would hate for them to grow up and look back and see that their mom cowered on this issue because she feared man more than she fears God. So that was an incredible inspiration to me.” 2 Timothy 2:15 says, “Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who does not need to be ashamed, rightly dividing the Word of truth.” Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, & Germany embrace abortion and perversion the most The worst nations in the world for attitudes towards homosexuality and abortion are Spain, Sweden, Netherlands, and Germany. Sweden was the worst nation on all morality indexes. Nigeria, Kenya, and Indonesia maintained the highest moral conscience on moral issues, in this survey conducted by Pew Research. Of the 25 nations surveyed, the United States was the only country where the majority of the people surveyed considered their own nation as morally evil. Canada topped off as the most self-righteous nation, with 92% considering their citizenry to be morally good.  Trump shares Franklin Graham's evangelistic message on Truth Social U.S. President Donald Trump shared a letter on his Truth Social account on Sunday which had been sent to him by Evangelist Franklin Graham last October. Without any additional comment from President Trump, the letter from Franklin Graham contained a powerful evangelistic message, reminding him, “The only One who can save us from hell is Jesus Christ. You cannot save yourself. … The only way to Heaven is through the shed blood of Jesus Christ. God requires of us to turn from our sins, and by faith, believe in our heart, that Jesus Came to Earth, died on the cross for our sins, was buried, and God raised Him to life on the third day.” The letter closed with Romans 10:9: “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  70% oppose sending Abortion Kill Pill in mail A large percentage of Americans oppose the Abortion Kill Pill being shipped through the mail. According to a new poll from CRC Research, 70% oppose abortion drugs being dispensed through the mail. Plus, nearly half of respondents say they would be less likely to support those who promoted the kill pills. Marjorie Dannenfelser, President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, said, “Voters could not be speaking any more clearly on abortion drugs flooding the mail, driving up abortion rates and undermining protections for women and children. They recognize this is an urgent public health and safety crisis that demands a return to common sense, like in-person doctor visits that were required under the first Trump administration.” Job 36:6 says, “He does not preserve the life of the wicked, but gives justice to the oppressed.” Beef and oil prices are spiking The price of beef is spiking as markets are volatile, oil prices remain high, and beef herds continue to diminish in the United States. In January 2026, only 86.2 million head of cattle were reported in the United States, the lowest number since 1951.  The war in Iran is also affecting the supply chain for fertilizer and oil, products the cattle industry relies upon heavily.  “Project Hail Mary” movie acknowledges God's providential control The film Project Hail Mary has topped the worldwide box office for two weekend in a row now. The Christian movie review organization, Movie Guide, touts the movie as “Christian” for its reference to a belief in God, and an acknowledgement of God's providential control over what happens. The story is about a school teacher who saves the world. Fox News called the film, starring Ryan Gosling, an anti-woke blockbuster. Megan Basham, Babylon Bee, and other conservative commentators gave the film a thumbs up.   Rotten Tomatoes gives it a 95% critics score, and a 96% audience score. And some say this may be the film that saves Hollywood.  The film has netted $300 million in two weekends. It's the top-grossing film of the year, thus far. However, parents should be warned that Focus on the Family reveals that God's name is used in vain 7 times, there are references to hooking up, and that the content is heavy for kids. The movie is based on the book by the same name written by Andy Weir which has been featured on the New York Times' best-seller list for 41 weeks in a row. He also wrote The Martian in 2011 which was adapted into the 2015 film of the same name starring Matt Damon and directed by Ridley Scott.  Another country music crossover into pop And finally, in pop media, country music is crossing over again onto the pop charts. Ella Langley, a Southern Baptist girl, made it to #1 on both charts with “Choosin' Texas.” The trend picks up with Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift's big hits from the early 2000s. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark and Timothy Reed Growing anti-Christian violence in Europe Experts warned of growing anti-Christian violence and legal pressure in Europe during a recent session of the United Nations Humans Rights Council. Christians in Europe faced nearly 800 hate crimes and over 2,000 violent incidents in 2024. The Observatory on Intolerance and Discrimination Against Christians in Europe documents such cases. Anja Tang, executive director of the observatory, told The Christian Post, “Several European governments have targeted individuals through criminal procedures for peacefully expressing their religious beliefs.” 8 Americans and 13 Israelis have died in Iranian conflict The death toll for American military personnel has reached eight since the beginning of the Iran conflict.  A U.S. soldier, whose name is yet to be released, died from wounds sustained in Iran's March 1st attack on an American base in Saudi Arabia, and a national guardsman died from a medical emergency in Kuwait on March 6th. Six soldiers were also killed by an Iranian drone strike in Kuwait, and their remains were transported back to the United States and honored.  Additionally, Israel has recorded 13 deaths since the outbreak of the war, and several have been killed in Gulf States friendly to the United States and Israel. In Psalm 43:1, the psalmist says, “Judge me, O God, and plead my cause against an ungodly nation: O deliver me from the deceitful and unjust man.” Trump to Iran: Stop blocking oil tankers or else! U.S. President Donald Trump threatened Monday to escalate the war with Iran if the country blocks oil tanker traffic from the Middle East.  In response, oil prices fell by 15% yesterday. During the war with Iran, prices have increased to levels not seen since 2022. These oil prices have affected the price of gasoline at the pump in America. The AAA national average for gas reached $3.54 per gallon yesterday. That's up nearly fifty cents from a year ago.  Christians are not safe in New York City Two men linked with ISIS attempted a bomb attack on a right-wing protest in New York City over the weekend.  Thankfully, police were able to intercept the devices, and no one was injured. New York City Council Member Joann Ariola spoke with Newsmax host Todd Starnes in a recent interview.  She offered a chilling answer to Starnes' direct question. STARNES: “Are the Christian and Jewish citizens of New York City safe tonight?” ARIOLA:  “They're not safe. No one is safe, because finally, our mayor [Zohran Mamdami], has recognized that these are radical Muslim Islamic ISIS driven terrorists, and they are in our midst. “We can thank the Biden and Obama administration for these cells being allowed to cross into our borders and be in our city and many cities across the United States of America.” DOJ to Missouri: Don't worry about mailed Abortion Kill Pills Sadly, the Trump administration is not siding with states that are challenging the distribution of abortion drugs. The U.S. Department of Justice recently moved to dismiss a case brought by Missouri against Mifepristone, the mail-order Abortion Kill Pill. Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, told LifeNews, “The pro-life movement has very simple demands. There should be no place on the market for drugs meant to poison and kill innocent human beings – but at the very least, this administration can and should take them out of the mail.” Proverbs 24:11 says, “Deliver those who are drawn toward death, and hold back those stumbling to the slaughter.” Entertainment merger gives Ellison family a major stake The Paramount Skydance Corporation is set to acquire  Warner Bros. Discovery for $110 billion after Netflix withdrew its offer. The merger continues consolidating power in the hands of the Ellison family, who now own a major stake in the American media and entertainment industry. Currently, CNN is a division of Warner Bros. Discovery and known for its left-wing bent. Paramount CEO David Ellison is on good terms with President Trump. Ellison has promised significant changes to CNN if he becomes the owner.  Former Christian firefighter gets compensation over religious discrimination And finally, a former volunteer chaplain with the Austin, Texas Fire Department recently won his case over religious discrimination. Andrew Fox served with the city's fire chaplaincy program for eight years. Everything was fine until he shared his religious views on a personal blog. FOX: “I wrote that men and women are biologically different, and that men should not compete on women's sports teams. When city officials demanded that I recant and apologize for the harm my blog post allegedly caused, I explained that my intent was to foster discussion, not to cause offense. What I could not do was renounce my beliefs or apologize for my faith.” In response, Texas officials fired him. Alliance Defending Freedom helped him secure a favorable settlement with the city. (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark Hundreds of Hindus attacked Christians in India Hundreds of Hindu nationalists attacked a group of Christian families in eastern India last month. The 20 families were eating lunch together before the mob attacked them. Eight of the Christians had to be hospitalized.  A Christian leader in the area told International Christian Concern, “Hindu right-wing activists continued to threaten people to change their religion and accept Hinduism.”  However, the Christians resisted. India is ranked 11th on the Open Doors' World Watch List of the most difficult places to be a Christian.  Hebrews 10:23 says, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” Trump brokered peace deal between Congo and Rwanda The Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda signed a peace deal last Friday in Washington, D.C.  The United States brokered the agreement which will allow American companies to access minerals in the region. Armed groups across the two East African nations have been in conflict since the 1990s. The violence has left millions of people dead. Christians in the area have been especially vulnerable.   Listen to comments from President Donald Trump on the conflict. TRUMP: “It's displaced countless people and claimed the lives of thousands and thousands. But today, the violence and destruction comes to an end. And the entire region begins a new chapter of hope and opportunity, harmony, prosperity and peace.” Senate passed Trump's Big Beautiful Bill with Vance's tie-breaking vote The U.S. Senate passed President Trump's “One Big Beautiful Bill” yesterday. Vice President J.D. Vance cast the tie-breaking vote to approve it 51-50. The three Republican Senators who defected include Susan Collins of Maine, Rand Paul of Kentucky, and Thom Tillis of North Carolina. The spending bill extends Trump's tax cuts from 2017. It provides more funding for defense and immigration enforcement while cutting Medicaid spending. Appearing on Fox News Channel, Stephen Miller, White House Deputy Chief of Staff, outlined the highlights of Trump's Big Beautiful Bill. MILLER: “Each and every one of the individual titles in this bill would be considered one of the great achievements in the history of the conservative movement. “Building the missile defense shield. Our children can be safe from foreign adversaries in this growing era of intercontinental ballistic missiles as nation's race for supremacy. “The section on this bill enshrining border and homeland security. This is the most far reaching Border Security proposal, Homeland Security proposal in my lifetime. I stood by the families whose kids have been murdered by illegal aliens. We made them a promise. Most importantly, the American people voted to fulfill that promise in the last election. This bill fulfills it. “It is the largest tax cut and reform in American history. No tax on tips. No tax on Social Security. No tax on overtime. 100% expensing for new factories. Think about that. Every single business owner with a dream of manufacturing in America can deduct 100% of that cost to make the American dream come true. “The largest welfare reform in American history. Work requirements on food stamps. Work requirements on Medicaid. “This is the most conservative bill in my lifetime. Tax cuts, defense, Border Security, Homeland Security, welfare reform and the largest spending cut in one bill that has ever been enacted. Let's pass this bill.” The bill does raise the debt ceiling by $5 trillion. The U.S. national debt currently stands at $37 trillion. The bill heads back to the U.S. House of Representatives for final approval. Trump hopes to sign the bill by July 4. Senate votes to defund Planned Parenthood The Senate version of the “One Big Beautiful Bill” would also defund Planned Parenthood. A provision in the bill cuts abortion funding through Medicaid for one year. Originally, the provision would have cut the funding for 10 years.   Democratic Senator Patty Murray of Washington offered an amendment to strike the provision defunding Planned Parenthood from the bill. Thankfully, the Republicans rejected her pro-abortion amendment. Marjorie Dannenfelser with SBA Pro-Life America said, “Taxpayers should never be forced to funnel their hard-earned dollars to Big Abortion. This funding currently hits almost $800 million annually.” 58% of Americans say public schools should have religious chaplains A new poll from the Associated Press found Americans are divided on their views of religion in public schools. Fifty-eight percent of U.S. adults think religious chaplains should be allowed to provide support services in public schools. Only 44% are in favor of teachers leading a class in prayer. And 39% support a mandatory period during school for private prayer and religious reading.  Also, 38% of Americans think religion has too little influence on what children are taught in schools while 32% think religion has too much influence.  Arsonist shot and killed 2 firefighters, injured another A man armed with a rifle started a wildfire Sunday and then began shooting at first responders in a northern Idaho mountain community, killing two firefighters and wounding a third during a barrage of gunfire over several hours, reports The Associated Press. Crews responded to a fire at Canfield Mountain, just north of Coeur d'Alene around 1:30 p.m., and gunshots were reported about a half hour later. The gunman, identified as 20-year-old Wess Roley, committed suicide at the scene. Sheriff Bob Norris said, “We do believe that the suspect started the fire, and we do believe that it was an ambush and it was intentional. These firefighters did not have a chance.” The deaths of Frank Harwood, a 42-year-old firefighter, and John Morrison, a 52-year-old firefighter, have left their colleagues reeling. David Tysdal, age 47, a Coeur d'Alene fire department fire engineer. sustained gunshot wounds and was in critical condition. Authorities said he had two successful surgeries. Ironically, the dead gunman, Wess Roley, had once aspired to be a firefighter and had only minor contacts with area police, reports The Guardian. Rare Indonesian fish is thorn in evolutionists' side Ocean explorers recently captured a rare Indonesian fish on camera for the first time. Marine biologist Alexis Chappuis encountered an Indonesian coelacanth nearly 500 feet below the ocean's surface in the Maluku Islands.  The Indonesian species of the fish has been spotted before but never photographed underwater.  The coelacanth has been called a living fossil. Scientists believed they were extinct until one was spotted in 1938.  Frank Sherwin with the Institute for Creation Research wrote that the fish “continues to be a thorn in the evolutionists' side. Paleontologists can only say these amazing fish evolved from a vague, unidentified ‘. . . ancestor.' Creationists say there have always been coelacanth fish since their creation thousands of years ago.” Psalm 104:23-24 says, “O LORD, how manifold are Your works! (Adam@TheWorldview.com) By Jonathan Clark 19 Christians arrested in Sudan, Africa Christians continue to suffer in Sudan during the ongoing civil war there. Fighters from one of the sides arrested at least 19 Christians in Sudan in recent months. The Christians face false accusations of supporting the other side in the war. A local attorney told Morning Star News, “This is systematic targeting of Christians who are arrested without taking them to a court of law to get justice.”  Sudan is ranked fifth on the Open Doors' World Watch List of nations where it is most difficult to be a Christian.  Revelation 2:10 says, “Do not fear any of those things which you are about to suffer. Indeed, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested, and you will have tribulation ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.” Evangelicals are now the majority of Protestants in France In 2021, Protestants made up about 9% of the French population that attends religious services regularly. Protestants in France are mostly Evangelical now, reports Evangelical Focus. New data shows that 58% of French Protestants attend an Evangelical Free church outside of the historic Reformed or Lutheran denominations.  Also, a quarter of French Protestants come from non-Protestant families, especially Catholic ones.  Russia and Ukraine's ceasefire in Black Sea Russia and Ukraine agreed to a ceasefire in the Black Sea on Tuesday. This followed talks between officials from both countries and the Trump administration.  The White House said, “The United States and Russia have agreed to ensure safe navigation, eliminate the use of force, and prevent the use of commercial vessels for military purposes in the Black Sea.” The agreement is the latest in the attempt by U.S. President Donald Trump to bring an end to the war between Russia and Ukraine.  12 states consider displaying 10 Commandments in public school In the United States, over a dozen states have introduced bills to display the Ten Commandments in public school classrooms. Louisiana was the first state to mandate such displays. Texas is another state considering such a measure. Jonathan Saenz is an attorney with Texas Values who helped draft his state's bill. He told CBN News this is what voters want. SAENZ: “We're confident, with the recent election results, that this is what voters want. They want to make sure that we preserve our values and that we teach about these things in our public schools and we get back to basics.” And Montana Republican State Senator Keith Regier spoke from the floor of the Montana Senate in favor of posting The Ten Commandments in public schools. REGIER: “God is mentioned in the Declaration of Independence. It's on our money, in music, like “God bless America.” It's in our literature, and it's in the pledge to the flag. Why would we not mention God in our schools? The courts need to understand that by removing God, they're replacing it with nothing.” Speaking of His commandments, God said in Deuteronomy 6:7, 9, “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up. … You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.” Trump freezes $20 million of funding to Planned Parenthood The Wall Street Journal reported yesterday that the Trump administration is freezing $120 million in federal funding for so-called family planning grants. This includes $20 million in funding for abortion giant Planned Parenthood.  The federal funding freeze is part of a hold on grants that align with diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives.  Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, said, “This is a victory for the unborn and for taxpayers who have been forced to fund an industry that ends innocent lives.” Federal Reserve leaves interest rate alone The Federal Reserve decided to leave its benchmark interest rate unchanged yesterday.  The rate remains in the range of 4.25% to 4.5%. The Fed indicated rate cuts are likely later this year. President Trump responded by calling for rate cuts as his import tariffs transition their way into the economy.  Young Christian women more liberal than male peers Pew Research released their 2024 Religious Landscape Survey recently.  Data shows that young, self-identified Christian women are more liberal than their male peers. Less than half of the young men support abortion and sexually perverted lifestyles. However, a majority of the young women support the same things. This gender gap in the church continues a trend that Pew Research has documented for at least 10 years. Average church raised $165,000 annually And finally, Faith Communities Today released a report on the annual income of churches in the U.S. Church income is recovering after a dip during the COVID-19 pandemic. The average church brought in $165,000 in 2023, up from $120,000 in 2020. The average church spent $160,000 over the year, and the average church member gave $2,222.  However, the rise in income has not been enough to keep up with inflation. But 61% of churches were still able to self-report good or excellent financial health. In the first presidential debate between Donald Trump and Kamala Harris, there were three lies told about abortion. Guest host Adam McManus addresses all three with Sue Liebel, the State Affairs Director for Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America. Plus, you'll hear the audio clips of all three. LIE #1: Abortions don't happen in the ninth month of pregnancy. Kamala Harris falsely claimed, “Nowhere in America is a woman carrying a pregnancy to term and asking for an abortion. That is not happening; it's insulting to the women of America.” Truth: Abortion is legal for any reason up to birth in ten states and DC. Abortion is legal through nine months of pregnancy for any reason in ten states plus D.C. Those states are Alaska, California, Colorado, Michigan, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, Ohio, Oregon, and Vermont. LIE #2: There is no state in which “abortion after birth” is legal. At one point, debate moderator Linsey Davis inappropriately jumped in to debate Trump, telling him, “There is no state in this country where it is legal to kill a baby after it's born.” She is incorrect! Truth: “After-birth abortion” or infanticide does occur, and 15 states allow it. These 15 states allow infanticide: Alaska, Colorado, Connecticut, Hawaii, Idaho, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, Oregon, Utah, and Vermont. That's why Marjorie Dannenfelser, the President of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, sent a letter to ABC demanding a correction. In 2019, then-Senator Kamala Harris voted against the Born-Alive Abortion Survivors Protection Act, which requires abortionists to provide potentially lifesaving care to babies born during botched abortions.  In addition, just because it is illegal in many states to kill a newborn baby does not mean it is not happening and that abortion advocates don't support it. Pennsylvania abortionist Kermit Gosnell is in prison currently for actively killing babies who survived his abortion procedures. LIE #3: Pro-life laws make it “criminal” for a doctor to provide health care for women who have miscarriages. During the debate, Kamala Harris falsely claimed, “Over 20 Trump abortion bans make it criminal for a doctor or nurse to provide health care. In one state, it provides prison for life. I have talked with women around our country. You want to talk about, ‘This is what people wanted?' Pregnant women who want to carry a pregnancy to term suffering from a miscarriage being denied care in an emergency room because the health care providers are afraid they might go to jail and she's bleeding out in a car in the parking lot. She didn't want that. Her husband didn't want that.” Truth: No pro-life law prohibits legitimate health care. This program includes: 1. And now they think they have a new political strategy to get Republicans out of their defensive crouch and to start winning again on this issue.  The woman leading this effort is Marjorie Dannenfelser, the head of Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America, one of the most important institutions in the GOP firmament. She's known as the woman who killed Roe. Dannenfelser and her colleagues are plotting, financing, and staffing the Republican Party's counter attack on abortion.
