As the laughter from Visit Fort Worth's last annual meeting still echoes in my ears, we sit back and recount the tales that have given our city its rhythm. Lou Charles, the heartbeat of the Fort Worth music scene, gets a special nod alongside a our potential golf cart race shenanigans. We revel in the diversity of our local music backdrop, from squeeze box serenades, painting a picture of a night that encapsulates the vibrant spirit of Fort Worth. From there, our conversation takes a reflective turn with Trevor, a homegrown talent who's navigating the waters of music release in the digital age. Trevor's insights into his process and the scene at large are as refreshing as an Espresso Martini from one of chef Tim Love's after-parties. We get candid about the fashion statements that cycle through our streets and discuss the community's pulse felt at events like Black Coffee's Latte Art Throwdown, all while weaving in personal anecdotes that'll have you feeling like part of the Fort Worth family.Wrapping up, we swap studio mics for a toast to the local sound guys who make every live show an experience and the anticipation for more nightlife vibrancy with venues like the Low Down. Our parting words come with the clink of glasses as we bid farewell in the same way we live: full of music, laughter, and an unyielding love for the city that's more than a backdrop—it's a character in every story we tell. Re-Opening is upon us. Well for some of us at least, and pending for the rest of us. Jenny and I listened this morning to industry leaders, including Thomas Keller, Will Guidara, Sean Feeney and Tim Love, present issues that independent restaurants are facing directly to President Trump. Among those issues were the importance of the PPP loans and the necessity that the usage and term length for forgiveness be adjusted. One thing that all parties in the room agreed on was the importance that restaurants play in our communities. Big or small, restaurants are an integral weave in the fabric of our society and in the pleasures of our life.We need to re-open for the economy sure, but also for the greater part of who we are, how we behave and how we interact with each other, we need to reopen for us. Excited to welcome back previous OS Guest Steven Satterfield of Miller Union in Atlanta, Ga. Steven is in fact Re-Opening Soon, very soon in fact  likely on June 1st, after being closed for almost 2 months. The restaurant he reopens will no doubt be a different one that was closed in March after over 10 years of service. But how will it be different? How will the guests perceive the changes? When will they come and what will they ask for? Opening Soon is powered by Simplecast

In this episode of the Confidence Mastery: Unlock Your Life Podcast, Natalie talks to Chris Knight and Tim Webb on how you can gain body confidence. First off, learn to accept your own body and learn how to be confident.  If you can improve it by being fit and healthy, then by all means, do it! Listen as they discuss the following topics: the law of attraction, different workouts, routines, fitness setbacks, getting your dream girl, finding your primary drive, and many more. KEY TAKEAWAYS It was when Tim joined the West End Productions that he finally got into fitness. He became health conscious since looking good and being graceful are parts of the job. There was a time though that he neglected his health and body—he started smoking and became overweight amongst other bad habits. He realised that the body can only take enough toxicity and decided to do something about it. Routines aren’t for everyone. For Tim, he likes it that when there isn’t any pressure. No constraints, no deadlines. Tim also emphasises on the enormous difference of feeling good and looking good. Feeling good is what you want to aim for. But, if you want to look good, he suggested the benchmark workouts from CrossFit. What keeps Tim going? Tim answered, “What kept me going is realising that until I literally, physically can’t do it anymore, I will always be able to consider new things.” What can one do so to feel confident with their bodies and themselves? Don’t be afraid to ask for help from someone. Find a fitness program that works for you. Chris advises that if you want to better yourself, you need to do it for yourself and not for others. Hypnotherapy helped Chris in his focus and mindset. This is how he reached his goals incrementally. What keeps Chris motivated? Chris’ happiness lies in finding the right girl for him. So, what’s the best way to show her dream girl he’s the best fit? By looking good, staying fit, and living healthier. As Chris phrases the Law of Attraction, ‘what you put out, you get back’. Your thought processes will help you in how you reach your goals. You’re able to attract success when you take better action. It’s easier to attain your goals when you have a winning mindset. You feel that you have control over your own progress. It’s easier to remove doubts and let the process do its work. BEST MOMENTS “Just getting out there and being active is the right thing.” - Tim “The constant ability to learn new things, explore new things, and realise that you’re doing just this one kind of fitness doesn’t necessarily mean you know everything.” - Tim “Looking good is an opinion; feeling good is a fact.” - Tim “What keeps me going is knowing for a fact that the journey will never end.” - Tim “We can’t always cater to everyone and make everybody happy.” – Tim “Love yourself, and everything will get attracted to you.” – Chris “I want to be happy; that’s the end result I want.” – Chris “Try to change one habit at a time. Don’t do it all at once.” – Chris VALUABLE RESOURCES Insanity Workout Rob Moore - https://robmoore.com/ Confidence Mastery Podcast - https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/confidence-mastery-unlock-your-life-podcast/id1497917418 ABOUT THE GUESTS TIM WEBB Tim has been a professional actor for the past 12 years performing all over the world. From complete amateur doing Insanity in his parents' living room, he now teaches fitness classes in London at various locations. He is the co-founder of Target Time, a community running programme and website and also of Kinsman Property, an investment company he founded with his brother Edward. For years he had issues with self-esteem, confidence, body weight fluctuation and depression. Following a relationship breakdown, he decided to use the emotion to fuel a total body and mind transformation. After losing 25lbs and becoming more aesthetically pleasing, he realised that the core reason that he had wanted to do this was to be happy. After following the process of the dieting and the mindset change, Chris realised that happiness comes from within. The external changes to his appearance weren't even necessary but they had been the catalyst to understanding that external changes are just at surface level. When Chris embraced that we have to change how we feel about ourselves internally before anything else matters; his life began to change for the better. Having undergone, and maintaining, his personal body and mindset Transformation; he is now applying the same principles and habits used for dieting into his professional life as he writes a book on mental health and launches his property business. Chris believes that anybody is capable of the same process. If you make the decision to start, as you progress, the positive changes will compound over time giving you results that you desire. https://www.facebook.com/chris.knight.1804 email: cdknight@live.co.uk ABOUT THE HOST Natalie is the Confident Entrepreneur, helping others be confident and successful in health, wealth & happiness with kick-ass coaching at Gold Star Life. So after graduating from the Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Austin, Clevenger headed west, to the Coyote Café in Santa Fe, where he was responsible for menu development and purchasing at the Southwestern restaurant, spending three years working with acclaimed Chef Mark Miller. During this time, he also had the opportunity to work alongside such famed chefs as 2012 Austin Rising Star Rene Ortiz, Jesse Perez, Rick Bayless, and Tim Love. Taking his westerly education up north a bit, Clevenger headed to Denver, Colorado, where he became the chef-owner of Mel’s Bar & Grill. Clevenger might have been new to the area, but he was warmly embraced. It wasn’t long before his restaurant was being lauded by diners and local press alike, receiving such awards as “Best American Restaurant in Denver,” “Top Tamale,” and “Top 10 Fine Dining Restaurants in Denver.” While in Denver, Clevenger also started The Porker Street Food Cart, a gourmet street food cart featuring global pork dishes. At the helm of Porker, Clevenger became known as “the swine sultan,” and was recognized for “Street Food Chef of the Year” and “Best Street Food” by Denver Magazine. With this porcine commendation and his strong background in Mexican and Southwestern cuisine, Clevenger was a natural fit for the Latin flavors and spirited atmosphere of Atlanta’s Alma Cocina. Now at the helm of Alma, Clevenger combines years of culinary experience in both fine dining and high-volume casual dining with a proven track record for developing new menu ideas. The result is seasonality and modern methods infused into the roots of Latin cuisine.
