Det var jo ingen overraskelse, at vi tabte i Herning, men vi skal alligevel bruge lidt tid på at snakke om, hvorfor vi gjorde det. Tre kvarter - for at være mere præcis - hvor vi blandt andet diskuterer de forskellige systemer, København diskede op med, og hvor galt det egentlig står til i vores forsvarskæde. Og så ser vi frem mod mødet mod AGF, som har formået at få færre point end os siden nytår. Senest blev de - med vores gæsts ord - ydmyget mod lillebroren Randers. Lyt også med for at finde ud af hvem på AGFs hold, der måske, måske ikke har taget et kvantespring, hvem i panelet der er korskvæstet, og hvordan sådan en håndbremse egentlig virker på et fodboldhold og en Volkswagen Up. Ere wie ere toekomt: Bas, welkom bij DCDW hier in Ede. Voor de paar mensen die jou nog niet kennen, kan je uitleggen wie je bent en wat je op dit moment doet? Transitie van online naar offline “Hartstikke leuk dat ik weer ben uitgenodigd. Ik zat in een van de eerste afleveringen van de podcast en heb daar erg leuke reacties op gekregen. Ik ben in 1974 geboren tussen het tankstation en de werkplaats. De afgelopen tien jaar bezig geweest met ikwilvanmijnautoaf.nl, daarvoor heb ik tien jaar ben ik dealer van onder meer Daewoo geweest. Het deelgebied van online marketing, sales en coaching in de automotive branche vind ik het leukst. De afgelopen tien, vijftien jaar heeft de autobranche de transitie gemaakt van offline naar online. Nieuwe dingen opzetten en mijzelf met alles bemoeien vind ik het leukst aan het ondernemerschap. Met Mr Wheelson doen we het omgekeerde van ikwilvanmijnautoaf.nl: van online auto’s inkopen van consumenten naar online auto’s verkopen aan consumenten. Mr Wheelson is een digitaal autobedrijf met een online aanbod van meer dan 147.000 auto’s van hoofdzakelijk Duitse merkdealers. Dat willen we uitbreiden naar andere Europese landen, en mogelijk zelfs naar Dubai en de Verenigde Staten.” Meer LandRovers dan Ups “Mensen kopen via Mr Wheelson gemakkelijk dure auto’s. We zijn nu negen maanden bezig en in die tijd hebben we meer offertes gemaakt voor jonge Land Rovers en BMW’s dan voor een Kia Picanto of een Volkswagen Up. We zijn niet de Lidl maar de Bijenkorf. We richten ons op de bovenkant van de markt. Ons aanbod is maximaal vijf jaar oud, heeft maximaal 75.000 kilometer gereden en kost minimaal 10.000 euro. Daaronder heeft het weinig zin om een auto te importeren. Het kost net zoveel om een Bentley naar Nederland te halen als een Volkswagen Up. We bieden onze auto’s aan met minimaal een jaar garantie. Vaak is dat verlengde fabrieksgarantie, en als dat niet kan, dekken we het af met een garantieverzekering. Dat helpt om ons van andere aanbieders te onderscheiden. We adverteren met full-service prijzen. Voor de klant komt er niets meer bij. In de offertefase kunnen we de inruilauto meenemen en bieden we de mogelijkheid van gespreid betalen aan. Als de klant akkoord geeft op de offerte, nemen we contact op met de buitenlandse dealer en controleren we of de auto aan onze eisen voldoet. In geval van twijfel sturen we een onafhankelijke expert langs die de auto op 150 punten checkt.” Autolandschap veranderen “Als alles in orde is, doet de klant een aanbetaling. Dat is onze orderbevestiging. Vervolgens gaat de auto op transport en verzorgen wij de bpm-aangifte. De auto wordt afgeleverd via een Nederlands autobedrijf naar keuze van de klant. Wij geloven in delen: het autobedrijf krijgt daar een vergoeding voor. Met Mr Wheelson wil ik het automotive landschap een beetje veranderen. Net als met ikwilvanmijnautoaf.nl. Je hoeft als klant geen auto meer te kopen bij een autobedrijf met een fysieke voorraad. Airbnb heeft geen eigen huizen, Uber heeft geen taxi’s, dus waarom zou een autobedrijf auto’s moeten hebben? We bieden onze online voorraad ook aan via partners, waaronder autobedrijven en leasemaatschappijen. Voor autobedrijven is onze virtuele voorraad een mogelijkheid om klanten een auto te verkopen die ze zelf niet hebben. In what is arguably the largest cybercrime scandal affecting cars to date, Volkswagen has admitted to installing software in some of their diesel-powered cars to give out false emission data results during tests. This scandal affects their other brands like Audi, Skoda and SEAT and has seen the South African government, through the departments of Environmental Affairs and Transport as well as the National Regulator for Compulsory Specifications, state that it is investigating into Volkswagen South Africa after the parent company admitted to deceiving USA regulators with the software. Apart from this raising concerns around the environment and carbon emissions from cars, we also wonder what this large scale software fraud by Volkswagen means for the future of cars given the move to electric vehicles. As you might be aware, electric vehicles are more reliant on software than cars that have an engine and more so driverless cars. Do we have to worry about cars getting hacked? Can we trust electric vehicle manufacturers too with their specifications since they'll mostly be software based? We also have a special guest on this week's African Tech Round-up, Vije Vijendranath. An engineer, startup founder and a co-founder of two children. Vije gives us his thoughts on the Volkswagen cybercrime scandal as well as on the week's big stories. Volkswagen up! World Car 2012 Nuovo prestigioso riconoscimento internazionale per la Volkswagen Up! La piccola tedesca è stata infatti eletta “World Car of the Year 2012” da una giuria composta da 66 giornalisti provenienti da 25 Paesi. Design innovativo, sicurezza al top (come dimostrano le 5 stelle nei crash-test Euro Ncap) e motori efficienti sono gli ingredienti alla base del successo della Up! Il premio è stato deciso in occasione dell’apertura del Salone dell’auto di New York. Renault Twizy Emissioni zero, compattezza ed agilità da scooter con la sicurezza ed il comfort di una quattroruote. Renault Twizy è un’urban crosser agile e divertente, dallo stile inimitabile, pronta ad invadere la città forte di caratteristiche uniche nel suo genere. La piccola elettrica targata Renault è lunga appena 2,34 metri e larga 1,24, Twizy ha il baricentro ribassato e promette un’agilità fuori dal comune negli spazi ristretti con la possibilità di parcheggiare agevolmente in spazi inaccessibili ad altri modelli. Un peso piuma di 450 kg consente alla batteria agli ioni di litio da 6,1 kWh di assicurare un’autonomia di 100 km in ciclo urbano. I motori della Twizy sono due, un elettrico da 9 CV per la versione 45 con velocità limitata a 45 km/h e uno sempre elettrico da 17 CV e 57 Nm di coppia per una velocità che sale a 80 orari. Twizy è commercializzata dal 31 marzo a partire da 6.990 Euro. Fisker Atlantic Si chiama Atlantic ed è la nuova ibrida plug-in svelata da Fisker al New York International Auto Show. Si tratta di una berlina sportiva quattro porte destinata a giovani famiglie che desiderano una vettura di fascia alta molto attenta al rispetto ambientale. Atlantic sfrutta la tecnologia di seconda generazione Electric Vehicle with extended range, che consente tutti i vantaggi di un veicolo elettrico, eliminando i problemi di autonomia. Disponibile con la trazione posteriore o a quattro ruote motrici, è equipaggiata con un motore elettrico assistito da un range extender 4 cilindri a benzina. Rispetto alla sorella maggiore Karma, Atlantic sarà offerta ad un prezzo praticamente dimezzato, di circa 50 mila dollari.

Volkswagen up! Dopo una lunga gestazione che, attraverso la presentazione di una serie di concept, è giunta alla versione definitiva esposta in anteprima all’ultimo Salone di Francoforte, up! è pronta a debuttare sul mercato. La citycar VW è già prenotabile e sarà commercializzata da dicembre in un unico allestimento High e motorizzazione 1.0 da 75 CV con prezzi che, a seconda dei pacchetti di personalizzazione (ancora in fase di definizione), si collocano tra 10.600 e 12.600 Euro. Il suo simpatico design è ispirato alla massima funzionalità, ma riesce a trasmettere un’impressione di grande qualità ed una forte identità di marca. Nei grandi gruppi ottici e nella calandra con il grosso logo VW è facile riconoscere la personalità e la simpatia del mitico Maggiolino. Anche all’interno i motivi della plancia a sviluppo lineare in tinta con la carrozzeria si ispirano al Beetle. Il posteriore è dominato dal portellone in cristallo nero che ricorda da vicino uno schermo hi-tech in stile i-Phone che non mancherà di conquistare i più giovani. Lateralmente si notano le linee pulite e prive di inutili fronzoli, il montante posteriore in stile Golf e gli sbalzi ridottissimi. Proprio la collocazione delle ruote ha permesso di ottenere un passo record di ben 2,42 metri, uno degli elementi che ha consentito un’abitabilità interna da segmento superiore. In una lunghezza di appena 3,54 metri, trovano spazio senza alcuna difficoltà 4 passeggeri che possono contare su un bagagliaio da 251 litri espandibili fino a 951. Funzionalità, design pulito e raffinato, ma anche tanta tecnologia. Su up! debutta un nuovo sistema di navigazione denominato Maps&More che incorpora 4 funzioni: navigazione, bluetooth con vivavoce hi-fi, connettività con smart-phone e interconnessione con l’elettronica di bordo. Sul fronte della sicurezza abbiamo potuto toccare con mano l’efficacia del sistema di frenata di emergenza che a velocità inferiori ai 30 km/h consente alla vettura di frenare da sola evitando così i tipici tamponamenti urbani “da distrazione”. Il motore realizzato interamente in alluminio assicura un mix perfetto tra brillantezza ed economicità il consumo medio si attesta a 4,7 l/100 km e le emissioni di CO2 a 108 g/km. Ottimo il gruppo cambio, anch’esso realizzato in alluminio, che vanta un peso complessivo di soli 25 kg e si propone come il più leggero della categoria.
