Ftz and McShane open with beer talk—Hopworks' Fuzzy Navel peach sour, Abomination's Fall Harvester sour, plus stouts—before diving into the week's narratives. They highlight the UK Home Office's nine-page “Understanding behaviors and expectations” pamphlet for asylum seekers warning about women's rights, rape, and domestic abuse, then mock interviews where officials dodge whether it admits a migrant crime problem while the UK PM touts removals. They discuss the Jason Arday plagiarism scandal and a Kaizen analogy arguing universities protected Arday because of race and ignored scrutiny until it ended tragically. The hosts question climate-paper funding incentives, then slam California's first-in-nation rule phasing out most replacement tires by rolling-resistance standards, arguing it raises costs and reduces safety. They bring in Jefe for casino stories and later a “farm report” on the bombardier beetle's chemical “micro-explosions,” plus quick hits on China's World Robotics Games. They expose Democratic-city donor-matching programs—spotlighting Karen Bass' LA pitch and ActBlue tie-ins—calling it taxpayer-funded campaign amplification. They also cover Trump's temporary ground-beef import tariff relief, a Dearborn council rant about Sharia law, and CNN's critique of RFK Jr.'s “Real Food” cooking segments, arguing the network misrepresents per-serving costs and ignores pantry economics.Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/razor-wire-news--5683729/support.www.razorwirenews.com
Bible News Prophecy with Dr Bob Thiel and Steve Dupuie Do End-Time Prophecies Require a Rebuilt Jewish Temple? Dr. Bob Thiel joins Steve Dupuie on Bible News Prophecy to examine the Temple Institute, the history of the first and second temples, New Testament uses of the Greek words naos and hieron, Christians as the temple of God, end-time animal sacrifices, the abomination of desolation, and his conclusion that a physical Jewish temple is not required for biblical prophecy to be fulfilled. The Temple Institute and the Desire to Rebuild Steve Dupuie opens by asking whether Jewish groups currently want to build a temple. Dr. Bob Thiel identifies the Temple Institute as one such organization and discusses a newsletter that cites Deuteronomy 12:5–7 and asks supporters to help rebuild the temple. Thiel notes, however, that the quoted passage speaks about a chosen place of worship and sacrifice without explicitly requiring a temple building. The First and Second Temples in Biblical History Thiel reviews the history of Solomon's temple, its destruction by Babylon, the construction of the second temple after Cyrus's decree, Herod's later expansion, and the temple's destruction by Roman forces in AD 70. He connects the latter event with Jesus' prophecy in Matthew 24 that not one stone would remain upon another. The transcript itself cautions that these historical dates are preserved as stated by the speakers and should be independently verified when used as formal historical citations. Christians as the Temple of God When Steve asks whether a holy Jewish temple can be built in the present age, Thiel answers no. He turns to passages in 1 Corinthians and 2 Corinthians that describe believers as the temple of the Holy Spirit and the temple of the living God. In his interpretation, the New Testament identifies Spirit-filled Christians, including Christian Jews, as God's holy temple rather than a future Jewish building. Naos and Hieron: Two Greek Words for Temple Thiel distinguishes between two Greek words translated as “temple.” He says hieron usually refers to a physical temple complex, while naos may refer to the inner sanctuary, Christ's body, or the community of believers. He points to John 2, where Jesus says, “Destroy this temple, and in three days I will raise it up,” and the passage explains that He was speaking of His body. Thiel uses this distinction to support his view that prophetic references to God's temple need not describe a rebuilt Jewish structure. A Spiritual Building With Christ as the Cornerstone The discussion continues with Ephesians 2, where Christians are described as a building founded on the apostles and prophets, with Jesus Christ as the chief cornerstone. Thiel interprets the growing “holy temple in the Lord” as the church collectively rather than a physical sanctuary. He also draws on 1 Peter to describe Christians as a chosen generation, royal priesthood, holy nation, and special people. Christ's Sacrifice and the Question of Holiness Thiel argues that New Testament teaching about Christ's sacrifice makes a restored system of temple sacrifices unnecessary for Christians. Referring to Hebrews 9, he describes Christ as High Priest of a greater tabernacle not made with human hands. From this, he concludes that a Jewish religious building may be constructed, but it would not constitute God's holy temple in the New Testament sense. Animal Sacrifices Without a Temple Steve asks whether Daniel's end-time prophecies concerning sacrifices require a temple. Thiel says they do not. He cites biblical examples of sacrifices offered before Solomon's temple existed and after the first temple was destroyed but before the second temple was completed. According to Thiel, an altar, priestly leadership, religious implements, willingness, and government permission would be sufficient for sacrifices to resume. The Abomination of Desolation and the “Holy Place” The final discussion concerns Jesus' warning in Matthew 24 about the abomination of desolation standing in the holy place. Thiel emphasizes that Jesus said “holy place,” not “holy temple.” He refers to the Greek terms topos for “place” and hagios for “holy,” arguing that the phrase may describe a location rather than a particular building. He therefore rejects the assumption that this prophecy requires a rebuilt Jewish temple. Living as God's Holy People Thiel closes by urging Christians not to wait for a temple that, in his view, God would recognize as holy in this age. Instead, he says Christians themselves are called to be God's holy people and should live accordingly. The episode concludes with a reference to the Bible News Prophecy website and the Continuing Church of God's free literature.

Evan Roberts calls the World Cup final a boring abomination, but Tiki Barber strongly defends the match as a gripping defensive battle. Evan argues that a championship game needs action from both sides, pointing to Argentina's lack of shots and Lionel Messi's limited impact as proof that the finale failed to deliver. Tiki counters that Spain's defensive dominance and Argentina goalkeeper Emiliano Martínez's performance made the match fascinating for fans who understood what they were watching. The debate turns into a larger argument over whether soccer needs scoring to be entertaining, with Tiki comparing the experience to watching a pitching duel and insisting Evan needed a knowledgeable fan beside him to fully appreciate it.

Alex Acosta's role in the Epstein negotiations has always looked less like the story of a rogue prosecutor freelancing a sweetheart deal and more like the story of a disciplined DOJ operator who understood the temperature in the room and acted accordingly. As U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Florida, Acosta was the public face attached to the 2008 non-prosecution agreement, but the negotiations unfolded inside a much larger federal machine, with pressure, involvement, and awareness reaching beyond his office. Epstein's legal team was stacked with former prosecutors, political insiders, and high-powered attorneys who knew exactly how to work the system, and Acosta did not respond like a prosecutor ready to burn the house down in pursuit of accountability. He responded like a company man: cautious, deferential, protective of institutional interests, and willing to accept a resolution that kept the matter contained rather than force a public reckoning. That is what makes Acosta's place in the Epstein story so important. He did not simply fail in a vacuum; he helped translate elite pressure into an official government outcome. The deal protected Epstein from a broader federal prosecution, kept victims in the dark, and allowed the DOJ to bury a case that should have exploded into national scandal years earlier. Acosta later suggested there were forces above his pay grade involved, but that only sharpened the picture: if he knew the case was bigger than him, then his job should have been to fight harder, not fold cleaner. Instead, he played the role institutions reward most often — the man who does not make trouble, does not embarrass powerful people, and does not force the Department to confront what it clearly did not want exposed.to contact me:bobbycapucci@protonmail.com

Has the Great Tribulation already happened… or is it still to come? In this study through Matthew 24, Pastor Brian Gunter examines one of the most debated questions in biblical prophecy: what did Jesus mean when He warned about the coming “Great Tribulation”? Focusing on the Olivet Discourse, Brian walks carefully through Christ's words concerning the abomination of desolation, the destruction of Jerusalem, and the possibility of a future fulfillment beyond A.D. 70. Along the way, he challenges common assumptions about end-times theology while comparing Scripture with Scripture. Whether you hold to preterism, historic premillennialism, amillennialism, or are simply trying to understand Matthew 24 more clearly, this episode offers a serious and thoughtful look at one of the Bible's most important prophetic passages. It's been a big week for Pittsburgh public hearings! People turned out to share their passionate takes on the city's revised affordable housing bill, the county's paid parental leave proposal, and a debate about whether to keep Serpentine Drive in Schenley Park car-free. Host Megan Harris, producer Sophia Lo, and contributor Colin Williams dig into the debates. Plus, we share the best local spots for watching the World Cup, some bittersweet Mister Rogers news, and the pickle "delicacies" we plan to avoid at this year's expanded Picklesburgh. This Summer at The Story Church you have the power to select which questions we will address from the pulpit! In our FAQ series, we'll look to the Bible to answer six controversial questions people ask about Christianity. We hope this series will encourage skeptics and equip believers to “give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect” (1 Peter 3:15).
In this installment of “Ask Me Anything,” Pastor Luke addressed four questions. This message was delivered in gathered worship on Sunday, May 31, 2026 at Jewel Lake Parish in Anchorage, Alaska. TIMESTAMPS 00:14 how many Presbyterians signed the Declaration of Independence? 03:02 what is the Abomination of Desolation? 11:16 is the "fear of the Lord" really "fear" or something else? 16:06 what are your thoughts on Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens (Note: In answering the second question, Pastor Luke misattributed some ways that Antiochus IV profaned the Temple with how Pompey profaned it. Daniel might have foreseen either, or both, or something else entirely.) Pastor Luke looks at 2 Chronicles 17:10 in "Ask Me Anything."

In A.D. 70, the Roman army surrounded Jerusalem, breached its walls, and destroyed the temple—bringing an end to the old covenant world. In this episode, Matt Plett walks through Matthew 24:15–28 and shows how Jesus' warnings align directly with the events leading up to that destruction. From the “abomination of desolation” to the call to flee Judea, this passage comes into focus when read alongside the Roman siege of Jerusalem and the testimony of history. This isn't just theology—it's history unfolding exactly as Jesus said it would.Watch all of our videos and subscribe to our channel for the latest content >HereHere

Marvel Mondays continue as we move through the early MCU with the franchise's second entry.ABOUT THE INCREDIBLE HULKBruce Banner, a scientist on the run from the U.S. Government, must find a cure for the monster he turns into whenever he loses his temper.AIR DATE & NETWORK FOR THE INCREDIBLE HULKJune 13, 2008 | TheatersCAST & CREW OF THE INCREDIBLE HULKEdward Norton as Bruce BannerLiv Tyler as Betty RossTim Roth as Emil BlonskyWilliam Hurt as General “Thunderbolt” RossTim Blake Nelson as Samuel SternsBRAN'S THE INCREDIBLE HULK SYNOPSISThe movie kicks off with a quick montage explaining how Bruce Banner became the Hulk. You know the deal. The military, however, is very interested in finding him because… he's extremely dangerous.Five years later, Bruce is living in Brazil, lying low. He's doing breathing exercises to keep his heart rate down and working at a bottling factory. He's also desperately searching for a cure for his Hulk-ness, secretly chatting online with someone named Mr. Blue. One day at work, Bruce cuts his finger, and a drop of his blood falls into one of the bottles. That bottle eventually makes its way to the U.S., where it causes serious problems for the guy who drinks it. Using this contaminated bottle, the military tracks Banner's location. A strike team led by Emil Blonsky is sent in to capture him.Bruce transforms into the Hulk and completely wrecks Blonsky's team. Blonsky, instead of being terrified, is impressed and immediately wants that power for himself. He agrees to be injected with a small dose of a super-soldier serum connected to the original Hulk experiment. Surely nothing bad will happen.Bruce returns to the States to grab some of his old research and reunites with his former girlfriend, Betty Ross. Blonsky attacks again, and when Betty is put in danger, Bruce transforms into the Hulk. Hulk fights off the military—including Blonsky—and escapes with Betty. Now officially on the run together, Bruce contacts Mr. Blue, who urges them to meet in New York City.Mr. Blue turns out to be Dr. Samuel Sterns, a cellular biologist who claims he's developed a possible antidote. They test it—and it actually works. But Sterns reveals he's also been stockpiling Bruce's blood samples, believing its “limitless potential” could revolutionize medicine now that a cure exists.Bruce immediately points out that this is a terrible idea because the military is absolutely going to weaponize it. (Did we learn nothing from Iron Man?)Right on cue, Blonsky and the military arrive, capture Banner, and take him away. Blonsky stays behind and forces Sterns to inject him with Banner's blood. Sterns warns him that combining the serum with the radiation already in his body could turn him into something far worse—an Abomination.Blonsky hears the name and says, “Cool. Do it.”Blonsky mutates into a massive, rage-filled monster even bigger and stronger than the Hulk and immediately starts destroying Harlem.Bruce realizes he has to stop him. He jumps from a helicopter, transforms mid-fall, and the Hulk takes on Abomination in an extended, brutal battle across the city. Hulk ultimately defeats him by choking him with a massive chain, stopping only when Betty begs him not to kill Blonsky. After a quiet moment with Betty, Hulk flees the scene and disappears. One month later, Bruce is in Bella Coola, British Columbia. Instead of trying to suppress the Hulk, he's learning to transform on purpose. As his eyes turn green, Bruce smiles.
