Previous to Choice Fitness, it was known as Boston Sports Club (BSC), Latitudes, and even before that it started as a Gold's Gym. We have known Derek over the last 2 years since Choice Fitness has moved in and we are very grateful for all of the changes that they have made. The way that BSC left it was unacceptable and still leaves a sour taste in people's mouths. Choice Fitness has not only created a better community environment over there, but they have also been making a lot of changes to best benefit their members. Dr. Chad has been a member of all of the gyms it has been and we will say that this gym is probably in the best condition that it has been in years. Not to mention that they have adapted to the times of today and offer strength and conditioning types of training as well as boxing classes. We are impressed with their progress over the last 2 years and continue to look forward its evolution. For more information about Choice Fitness, visit their website or check out their Instagram. If Bitter Babe was a perfume, her scent would be animalic—heavy musk, bergamot, worn leather and burnt spices. The Bogotá-born, Miami-bred and now Berlin-based artist has a heady, ultra-rhythmic sound that feels made for sweltering summer nights and feral fantasies. Combining pan-Latin styles with hard drum and industrial touches, she's crafted a singular mood that defines her DJing and production: hazy, high-energy and sensual. Bitter Babe's ascent on the international circuit has been tied to her role in Miami's electronic renaissance. Whether it's proto-reggaeton, dense ambient or guaracha, her sets and productions are characterised by evocative low-end, darting synths and distorted frequencies that exude drama. With releases on TraTraTrax, Air Texture and SVBKVLT, she's cemented her position as an experimentalist, leaving the door open for more deconstruction and abstraction. As cofounder of multidisciplinary project LATITUDES, Bitter Babe seeks to unify Latin America's electronic music communities. Her mixes are a great source for discovering under-the-radar acts from Peru, Brazil and beyond, some of whom are featured on her RA podcast. Starting with subby downtempo before moving onto swampy baile funk, technoid mutations of dembow and cheeky UKG, it showcases her expertise for trippy yet deeply kinetic grooves. @bitterbabe Read more at https://ra.co/podcast/924

Released in 1985, "Songs You Know by Heart" is a musical passport to paradise, a collection of Jimmy Buffett's greatest hits that have become anthems for a laid-back, carefree lifestyle. This album is a treasure trove of sandy shores, swaying palm trees, and the unmistakable sound of Buffett's guitar. Jimmy Buffett, often referred to as the king of "Gulf and Western" or "Trop Rock," is a musical storyteller like no other. His songs are a celebration of escapism, the beach life, and the pursuit of that elusive, eternal summer. "Songs You Know by Heart" is a compilation of his most beloved tracks, including "Margaritaville," "Cheeseburger in Paradise," "Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes," and many more. The album captures the essence of Buffett's music, which is a unique blend of folk, country, and Caribbean influences. His lyrics are witty, often humorous, and always relatable, evoking a sense of wanderlust and the desire to kick off your shoes and relax with a cold drink in hand. At the time of its release, "Songs You Know by Heart" introduced Jimmy Buffett's music to a broader audience, solidifying his status as a musical icon of the tropics. The album's songs have become anthems for beach bums, vacationers, and anyone looking to escape the everyday grind for a while. Beyond the music, Jimmy Buffett's laid-back persona and his devoted fan base, known as "Parrotheads," have turned his concerts into legendary parties. His music transcends genres, bringing together people of all ages and backgrounds to share in the joy of his songs. "Songs You Know by Heart" is more than just an album; it's a musical vacation, a reminder that life is meant to be enjoyed, and sometimes, you just need to kick back, relax, and let the music take you away. As we gently place the needle on this vinyl treasure, we invite you to join us on a musical journey through the sun-soaked melodies of "Songs You Know by Heart." We'll explore Jimmy Buffett's influence on the laid-back lifestyle, the album's enduring appeal, and the sense of paradise it continues to bring to listeners around the world. So, grab your beach chair and a margarita, and let's set sail with Jimmy Buffett on this episode of Dem Vinyl Boyz!
