We are diving deep into the real reasons men are not doing their part in relationships, and exactly how you can help change that. Whether you want better sex, or for him to take on more of the mental load, or you want to know if you're even with the right person, or if the relationship is worth staying in, we're going to get into that today. I sit down with Zach Brittle, one of the only couples therapists in the entire world certified in both the Gottman method and Terry Real's Relational Life therapy. His work has been featured in The New York Times, The Washington Post, and Vanity Fair. Zach is so pragmatic and has really interesting advice on some of the trickiest issues out there. We also talk about what men secretly think and feel behind the scenes that they're not sharing, and we solve a ton of the real-life relationship struggles that you guys wrote in.
Andy Glaze is a firefighter paramedic, ultrarunner, and the author of “Smile, or You're Doing It Wrong.” This conversation explores the space between falling down and getting back up and how movement becomes a catalyst for emotional healing. Andy doesn't hold back about how he got here. I'm a fan. Enjoy this one! Show notes + MORE Watch on YouTube Newsletter Sign-Up Today's Sponsors: Birch: For 27% off ALL mattresses

You've probably heard a million different time management strategies by now, but may still feel busy, exhausted, and like you don't have time to do the things you truly love. Today, we are going to change that. I surveyed thousands of Liz Moody podcast listeners and found there are four specific time hurdles all of us run into. We're going to talk about exactly how to overcome those hurdles with pragmatic, actionable steps that work. And, here's the catch, we are not talking about time management to get more done. We are talking about time management to create a life that's filled with joy and fun. My expert guest is Laura Vanderkam. She is a time management researcher who has studied thousands of people's real time logs, a bestselling author of multiple books, a business owner, mother of 5 kids, and she also sings in a choir every week. She has figured out how to use every hour intentionally, and she's going to help you do the same.
David Epstein is a scientist-turned-investigative journalist, author of "Range," and one of the most rigorous thinkers working today. This conversation explores his new book "Inside the Box," the counterintuitive argument that limits, not freedom, are what unlock our best work. We cover the sharpshooter problem, the satisficing framework, attention in the algorithmic age, goal-setting versus opportunistic pivots, and what transformation actually looks like. He turns the lens on me, and what emerges is one of the more honest exchanges I've had about goals, autonomy, and the long game. David is a rare mind. This one's worth your full attention. Enjoy! Dr. Tommy Wood is a neuroscientist, physician, associate professor at the University of Washington, and the author of “The Stimulated Mind.” I came into this one with a lot on my mind. My mother has Alzheimer's, and for two years I've been watching this disease dismantle someone I love. What Tommy gave me was something I didn't expect: not more cause for fear, but a genuine roadmap. Cognitive decline is not inevitable. The levers of change are already in our hands. Have you ever walked into someone's home and instantly felt something—warmth, calm, personality, creativity—and wondered why your own space doesn't give you that same amazing feeling? In this episode, I sit down with the world's top interior designer Nate Berkus to unpack the psychology behind creating your dream home—a place you're so proud of you never want to leave. Nate breaks down practical tips to find your style, avoid trends, and insert more of you into your home, sharing that the real key to great design isn't money or square footage—it's your personal history. He also encourages you to shop local, lean into sustainability with vintage or thrifted finds, and enjoy the creative process of finding “that special piece you'll have forever”. Whether you're living in a bland rental or renovating a house, this episode gives you practical steps and advice you can use today to have a landing place that makes you feel incredible.
Malala Yousafzai is the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate, education activist, and survivor of a Taliban assassination attempt at age fifteen. This conversation explores the gulf between icon and identity—what happens when you're trying to figure out who you are while everybody has already decided for you. We discuss PTSD that surfaced years later, therapy she resisted, reconciling heritage with freedom, the crisis facing Afghan girls under gender apartheid, and why meaningful activism extends beyond social media. Through it all, she's redefining what courage actually looks like. Malala is vulnerable, honest, and profoundly human. And this conversation is a gift. Enjoy! What if everything you thought GLP-1s were for—was just the beginning? I sit down with Dr. Rocio Salas-Whalen, a board-certified endocrinologist and obesity medicine specialist with over 15 years of experience prescribing GLP-1s, to explore what these medications are really doing in the body. Whether you're already taking Ozempic or Wegovy, considering starting, or just curious, this conversation will change how you think about metabolism, hormones, and health. Dr. Salas-Whalen explains how GLP-1s go far beyond appetite suppression and weight loss—they can impact fertility, inflammation, autoimmune conditions, and even how your brain responds to addictive cravings and stress. You'll also hear how body composition, not BMI, is the future of metabolic health, and what to ask your doctor before starting GLP-1s.

I have the water sommelier, Martin Riese with me and we talk about all things water brands, different water types, baby water, mineral water, and we name names on brands of water not being fully transparent and those that are willing to showcase their water purity. By the mid-2010s, Jen Hatmaker had become one of the most important voices in white Evangelical culture. She had multiple best-selling books; she headlined massive women's retreats; she was an influencer before we really even used that term. But then she broke with Evangelical doctrine when it came to LGBTQ people… and everything fell apart. More accurately, they started to fall apart — because the real life implosion wouldn't come until 2020, when she woke up to the sound of her husband, a pastor, sending a voice memo to his mistress. Then things really fell apart. Hatmaker hasn't spoken publicly about the details of her divorce, but after five years, a lot of therapy, and her five children all entered into adulthood — she's ready. Her life exploded. But then she was able to rebuild it using her own designs — not the church's. Today she's on the pod to answer your complex questions about midlife reinvention: how it happens, all the reasons it can happen, and who gets the “privilege” of pursuing it. I really loved this conversation, and if you like rolling around all the ways we can (and sometimes struggle) to change our lives, you will too.
