In this episode, turn one seed keyword into a full Amazon PPC keyword map, uncover competitor keywords that actually drive sales (straight from Amazon data), and use AI to spot quick wins fast. In Part 2 of the 2026 Amazon Keyword Research Masterclass, Bradley Sutton goes beyond reverse-ASIN research and shows how to uncover keyword opportunities you'll miss if you only look at competitor rankings. He starts inside Helium 10's Cerebro (where Magnet now lives) to expand a single seed keyword into hundreds of related terms. Especially long-tail variations that can quietly drive profitable sales and shape a smarter Amazon PPC structure. Next, the episode dives into Amazon Brand Analytics inside Helium 10's Black Box tool and explains why it's one of the most valuable datasets sellers ignore, mainly because it's massive and hard to work with manually. Bradley breaks down how to interpret click share vs conversion share, and then reveals a key strategy: using filters across multiple weeks to surface keywords that Amazon itself is signaling drove sales, so you're not just guessing what's working for competitors. Finally, he walks through Search Query Performance and Helium 10's Search Query Analyzer tool to understand the full funnel (impressions → clicks → add-to-carts → purchases), benchmark performance against the market, and identify where you're leaving money on the table. With AI analysis layered on top, sellers can turn overwhelming keyword lists into clear action items, then preview what Seller Strategy Masterclass is coming next: faster, more automated keyword discovery inside Listing Builder. Stay tuned! In episode 491 of the AM/PM Podcast, Bradley talks about: 00:00 – Introduction 02:12 – How To See An Expanded List Of Keywords Related To One Keyword 08:28 – Introduction To Black Box Brand Analytics 16:39 – How To See Keywords That Drove Sales For Amazon Products 20:11 – Introduction To Search Query Performance Analyzer 31:23 – How To Use SQP AI Analysis 35:11 – What Is Coming To Listing Builder 38:45 – How To Automatically Track Yours And Competitors' Keyword Ranks
Amazon and Shopify are NOT the whole market. If you're only selling online, you're competing inside roughly 15% of the total retail opportunity while ignoring a market that's several times larger. In this episode, we break down why that blind spot is costing brands serious revenue and how sellers can expand beyond ecommerce without guessing or blowing up their margins.Talor Ofer, a retail strategist with over 25 years of experience helping physical product brands get placed in major retail channels. In this conversation, Talor breaks down how retail really works behind the scenes and why brands that understand the retail language have a major advantage going into 2026.In this Episode: ✅ Ecommerce Brands Are Competing in the Smallest Part of the MarketOnline sales feel dominant, but they represent a fraction of total retail. Brands that only sell on Amazon or Shopify are fighting harder for a smaller slice of demand while ignoring a much larger offline opportunity.✅ Retail Isn't Complicated. Most sellers avoid retail because they don't understand buyers, pricing, or expectations. Once you know what buyers want to see and how to present your brand, retail becomes simpler than dealing with ecommerce platforms and algorithms.✅ Not All Retail Channels Are EqualOff-price retailers, retailer dot-coms, and subscription boxes each offer different advantages. Some channels are easier entry points, while others deliver massive volume and exposure when used strategically.✅ 2026 Timing Matters More Than Most Sellers RealizeRetailers are buying aggressively due to tariffs, supply chain pressure, and future price uncertainty. Brands prepared now have an advantage while others wait and miss the window.

Send us a textFor decades, women were told that hormone replacement therapy was dangerous — largely due to a deeply flawed study that created fear, confusion, and misinformation around female hormones. In a long-overdue move, the FDA has now removed the black box warning on hormone therapy for women, signaling a shift back toward science. In this episode, Dr. Greg Dennis breaks down why the warning existed in the first place, what went wrong with the original research, and why properly prescribed hormone replacement therapy is one of the most powerful tools for women's long-term health and quality of life. We discuss the benefits of starting HRT early, why choosing the right provider matters, and the pros and cons of today's treatment options — including pellets, creams, injections, and patches. This is an honest, science-based conversation about why female hormone replacement therapy deserves a second look — and why it may be one of the best decisions a woman can make for her health.
CalmWave is tackling ICU alarm fatigue—a problem where patients generate up to 1,600 alarms per day because clinicians lack data-driven guidance on setting vital sign thresholds. The company processes 32 million data points daily from a single 14-hospital system by fusing high-frequency vital signs from Philips InteliBridge with EMR data from Epic in real time. This represents 10 billion data points annually at current run rate. Ophir Ronen, a sixth-time founder who previously sold to PagerDuty, built CalmWave by applying enterprise IT operations patterns to healthcare infrastructure. The company secured its first comprehensive system-wide agreement within months of launch and now holds 51 patents with 20 more pending as medical device manufacturers pursue distribution partnerships. Topics Discussed Why middleware interoperability is a prerequisite for clinical safety, not a feature The technical challenge of fusing 10x more data from vitals systems than EMR systems Building trust through transparent AI that exposes mathematical reasoning to clinicians Scaling from 7 million to 32 million daily data points across hospital rollout phases How CalmWave's common signal format enables data scientists to work with clean datasets Positioning alarm fatigue as a beachhead into broader hospital operations platforms The innovation investment arm validation pathway for startup enterprise sales Extending the signals-incidents-events pattern to energy, defense, and manufacturing GTM Lessons For B2B Founders Interoperability becomes your moat when it's a safety prerequisite: CalmWave couldn't provide safe alarm recommendations using only vital signs data without knowing which medications had been administered that could affect those vitals. This forced them to build bidirectional integration with both Philips InteliBridge (high-frequency vitals) and Epic EMR before addressing the clinical problem. The integration layer itself—which normalizes, enriches, and structures data into their common signal format—became defensible IP. Ophir noted that high-frequency vitals data is "erased on a rolling 30-day basis" at most hospitals, making CalmWave's fused dataset genuinely novel. Founders in healthcare or other regulated industries should identify whether data fusion across siloed systems is required for safety or efficacy, then build that integration capability as core infrastructure rather than expecting customers to solve it. Transparent AI sells better than black box AI in clinical environments: When presenting to 30 senior leaders including a notoriously difficult CMO, CalmWave walked through the mathematical basis of their algorithms—demonstrating exactly how they calculate safe alarm threshold adjustments. The CMO stood up mid-presentation and said, "You guys shouldn't even call yourselves AI. This is math and statistics. I understand exactly what you're doing. Well done. This is truly innovative." This validation from clinical leadership came from showing the work, not from accuracy metrics alone. Founders selling AI into risk-averse environments should build explainability into their core product architecture, enabling clinicians to understand why each recommendation is generated rather than treating interpretability as a post-hoc feature. Innovation investment arms provide validation pathways that bypass procurement: CalmWave's breakthrough came when an innovation investment arm from a major health system reached out after three months of due diligence, then placed them in front of clinicians. Two weeks before signing a comprehensive system-wide agreement, they presented to the C-suite. This pathway avoided traditional vendor procurement cycles. The innovation arm acted as internal champion, pre-validating the startup's approach before exposing them to decision-makers. Founders targeting large healthcare systems should identify which organizations have dedicated innovation or venture arms, recognizing these groups are measured on finding novel solutions rather than minimizing vendor risk. Beachhead problems in enterprise must be urgent enough to overcome startup friction: Ophir explicitly chose alarm fatigue because health systems with IT budgets in the hundreds of millions needed "something compelling enough to make them engage" with a startup. ICU alarm fatigue has regulatory scrutiny, patient safety implications, and nursing burnout consequences that create executive-level urgency. The problem was important enough that clinical leadership would tolerate the integration complexity and vendor risk of working with an early-stage company. Founders should evaluate beachhead opportunities not just by market size but by whether the pain point has organizational consequences severe enough to justify betting on an unproven vendor. Adjacent domain pattern recognition creates non-obvious competitive advantages: CalmWave's team came from building large-scale operations platforms at PagerDuty, where they developed expertise in processing massive streaming data, correlating events, and reducing alert noise. They recognized that ICU alarm fatigue followed the same structural pattern as IT operations alarm fatigue—too many alerts without context. This allowed them to apply a proven architectural approach (signals → alarms → incidents → events) to a new vertical where healthcare incumbents lacked that specific systems thinking. One hospital generates 7 million data points daily; their platform now handles 32 million across multiple facilities. Founders with deep operational expertise in one domain should actively map their architectural patterns to adjacent verticals where incumbents haven't solved analogous problems at scale. // Sponsors: Front Lines — We help B2B tech companies launch, manage, and grow podcasts that drive demand, awareness, and thought leadership. www.FrontLines.io The Global Talent Co. — We help tech startups find, vet, hire, pay, and retain amazing marketing talent that costs 50-70% less than the US & Europe. www.GlobalTalent.co // Don't Miss: New Podcast Series — How I Hire Senior GTM leaders share the tactical hiring frameworks they use to build winning revenue teams. Professor Mazviita Chirimuuta joins us for a fascinating deep dive into the philosophy of neuroscience and what it really means to understand the mind.*What can neuroscience actually tell us about how the mind works?* In this thought-provoking conversation, we explore the hidden assumptions behind computational theories of the brain, the limits of scientific abstraction, and why the question of machine consciousness might be more complicated than AI researchers assume.Mazviita, author of *The Brain Abstracted,* brings a unique perspective shaped by her background in both neuroscience research and philosophy. She challenges us to think critically about the metaphors we use to understand cognition — from the reflex theory of the late 19th century to today's dominant view of the brain as a computer.*Key topics explored:**The problem of oversimplification* — Why scientific models necessarily leave things out, and how this can sometimes lead entire fields astray. The cautionary tale of reflex theory shows how elegant explanations can blind us to biological complexity.*Is the brain really a computer?* — Mazviita unpacks the philosophical assumptions behind computational neuroscience and asks: if we can model anything computationally, what makes brains special? The answer might challenge everything you thought you knew about AI.*Haptic realism* — A fresh way of thinking about scientific knowledge that emphasizes interaction over passive observation. Knowledge isn't about reading the "source code of the universe" — it's something we actively construct through engagement with the world.*Why embodiment matters for understanding* — Can a disembodied language model truly understand? Mazviita makes a compelling case that human cognition is deeply entangled with our sensory-motor engagement and biological existence in ways that can't simply be abstracted away.*Technology and human finitude* — Drawing on Heidegger, we discuss how the dream of transcending our physical limitations through technology might reflect a fundamental misunderstanding of what it means to be a knower. This conversation is essential viewing for anyone interested in AI, consciousness, philosophy of mind, or the future of cognitive science. Whether you're skeptical of strong AI claims or a true believer in machine consciousness, Mazviita's careful philosophical analysis will give you new tools for thinking through these profound questions.---TIMESTAMPS:00:00:00 The Problem of Generalizing Neuroscience00:02:51 Abstraction vs. Idealization: The "Kaleidoscope"00:05:39 Platonism in AI: Discovering or Inventing Patterns?00:09:42 When Simplification Fails: The Reflex Theory00:12:23 Behaviorism and the "Black Box" Trap00:14:20 Haptic Realism: Knowledge Through Interaction00:20:23 Is Nature Protean? Markets are hitting all-time highs, earnings expectations are rising, and investors are navigating everything from oil prices to Roth conversions. Lance Roberts & Danny Ratliff take live viewer questions and explore the themes investors are most focused on right now. Topics discussed include why earnings may be the primary market driver this year, what recent all-time highs signal for forward returns, and how capital flows are shifting across sectors and asset classes. We also examine oil markets—WTI pricing, energy stocks, Venezuela supply dynamics—and what the "sweet spot" for oil prices means for the broader economy. On the planning side, we address Roth IRA advantages and drawbacks, Roth conversions, RMD considerations, and asset allocation questions across different life stages, including retirement-focused portfolios. Additional discussion covers the growing disconnect between GDP and unemployment data, hidden consumer leverage through buy-now-pay-later programs, and how diversification differs from simply owning non-correlated assets. We also touch on factor rotation, bond ETF structure, metals like gold and silver, and whether certain defensive or out-of-favor sectors may eventually regain investor interest. 0:00 - INTRO 0:18 - Earnings to be The Big Driver this Year 5:45 - Markets Hit All-time Highs 9:23 - Economic Summit Preview & Danny's Holiday Recap 12:25 - WTI, XLE, and Venezuela Oil 17:51 - What is the "Sweet Spot" for Oil Pricing? 21:23 - Tax Advantages - Disadvantages of Roth IRA 24:38 - Where to Look for Capital Flows 27:08 - Roth Conversions & RMD's 28:27 - Commentary - Divergence Between Unemployment & GDP 31:10 - Unrecognized Debt - Buy Now - Pay Later is a Black Box 31:53 - Recommendations for 60-40 Allocations 35:03 - Example of Bond ETF's in SimpleVisor 38:57 - Factor Rotation Portfolio 41:54 - Diversification vs Non-Correlated Assets 44:46 - Silver, Gold, & Other Metals 45:51 - Back Door Roth Conversions 47:30 - Asset Allocations for Septuagenarians 50:18 - Are Packaged Food stocks Ever Coming Back? In our 100th episode, we celebrate three years of POD256 and almost two years of building the open-source Bitcoin mining stack. We share behind‑the‑scenes stories from our first Telehash block find and chart what's coming for 2026. We walk through how the 256 Foundation allocated over $400k in grants across Ember One (open hashboard design), Libre Board (open control board), Mujina (open miner firmware), and Hydra Pool (self‑hosted pool), and how these projects are already flipping the closed “black box” mining model on its head. We dive into progress updates: Mujina running on Bitaxe Gamma, early Ember One integrations and cooling, Hydra Pool one‑command spin‑ups, plus community contributions like Stratum v2 support and Home Assistant control; and preview our plan to run Telehash #3 on a fully open stack live. We also invite miners and devs to point hashrate, contribute code, and join us at Telehash and NEMS as we turn this momentum into a product-style demo of open mining in action. We revisit the wild Telehash night when an Apollo-powered solo pool briefly wrangled an exahash and struck block 881423 (shout-out to Megawatt!), reflect on building the 256 Foundation and this pod from the early “Hash Cast” days, and outline how anyone from heatpunks to large farms can plug into the stack. Finally, we highlight community calls to action: spin up Hydra Pool, hack on Mujina, help us evangelize at meetups and campuses, and support free and open-source mining. Last but certainly not least: Code is not crime, support the Samourai devs' families and sign the pardon petition here: https://billandkeonne.org

In this episode, host Sebastian Couture is joined by Ismael Hishon-Rezaizadeh, CEO of Lagrange, to explore the intersection of frontier cryptography and national security. Ismael discusses the transition of zero-knowledge (ZK) technology from a "token-centric" crypto tool to a vital component of defense, specifically focusing on its role in securing autonomous drone swarms and closing the hypersonic missile gap. They delve into Deep Proof, Lagrange's ZK-machine learning library, which facilitates verifiable AI execution while protecting sensitive model intellectual property and private input data. Ismael introduces the concept of "Accountable Autonomy," arguing that cryptographic proofs are necessary to ensure that lethal "kill chain" decisions are made by the correct models under verified inputs, removing the risks inherent in "black box" AI decision-making. Finally, the conversation touches on the geopolitical competition with China, the importance of domestic chip manufacturing, and why the US market's ability to align private sector innovation with military needs is a decisive strategic advantage.Topics00:00 Intro & Context04:15 ZKML vs. Venice09:30 Protecting Model IP15:00 Dual-Use Defense Pivot21:45 The Palantir Comparison27:10 US-China Chip Race35:20 Drone Swarm Consensus42:15 Accountable Autonomy Explained49:00 Kill Chain Verifiability55:30 EU vs. US DefenseLinksIsmael on X: https://x.com/Ismael_H_R Lagrange Labs: https://www.lagrange.dev/Anduril Industries: https://www.anduril.com/Gnosis: https://gnosis.io/Sponsors: Gnosis: Gnosis has been building core decentralized infrastructure for the Ethereum ecosystem since 2015. Chiara Burgio's path to dentistry started with a Parisian psychoanalyst and a ten-minute stare. What followed was an international training odyssey—from Madrid to Milan, Brazil to NYU—that shaped her approach to aesthetic dentistry. In this conversation, she opens up about the pull of digital workflows, the art of composite layering, and what it really means to work alongside someone like Christian Coachman. But there's a shadow side to her drive, too. That relentless perfectionism, the kind that keeps her reviewing cases long after she's left the practice. It's the thing that makes her brilliant, and the thing she's learning to tame.In This Episode00:01:45 - International roots and family ties00:03:00 - Choosing dentistry over economics00:04:25 - The Parisian psychoanalyst who changed everything00:18:30 - NYU aesthetics programme and American training00:28:45 - Digital dentistry and working with Coachman00:42:15 - Composite layering and aesthetic philosophy00:58:20 - Blackbox thinking01:11:30 - Toxic ambition01:12:40 - Fantasy dinner party01:15:25 - Last days and legacyAbout Chiara BurgioChiara Burgio is a dentist practising in London with a focus on aesthetic and restorative dentistry. He's back! Jeff has become a show favorite over the last year or so and we love having him on. This will be the first set of a 3 part series we will be hosting over the next few weeks. His set was recorded live at the Black Box in Denver Colorado. Here is the man himself to tell you about it in his own words. "This mix is my first winning battle set from 2025. Originally prepared as a one-hour journey, it was reworked into a 40-minute rollercoaster shortly before showtime, trimming the deeper sections to let the energy hit harder. This is a live recording from the soundboard at The Black Box with no cut-and-paste edits — mistakes and all. One audible gaff made it in, and I left it there as a reminder that anything can happen live, and the show must go on." Representing Denver Colorado, please welcome back Borrowed Drums. Links below. Please enjoy❤️ Back next week -Thoma https://www.instagram.com/borroweddrums?utm_source=ig_web_button_share_sheet&igsh=ZDNlZDc0MzIxNw==

Welcome to the premiere of The Utility Trilogy. In this episode, Vulcan breaks down the first pillar of personal sovereignty: SKILL.We live in a world of "Black Boxes." We press a button, and coffee appears. We click a link, and a car arrives. We treat technology like magic—but when the magic stops, we are left helpless. Vulcan argues that we have traded our competence for convenience, creating a society of specialists who panic when the Wi-Fi goes down.In this episode:The "Insect" Mentality: Why specialization is for insects and why humans must be generalists.Leasing from the Landfill: The anti-consumerist case for fixing your own toaster. The Black Box: How the Starlink outage exposed our lack of a "Plan B."Metabolic Cost: Why troubleshooting is painful, frustrating, and absolutely necessary for a strong mind. The Mission: Stop buying solutions. Start building them."Convenience is not bad. But the tax you pay for convenience is your skill.""Convenience is the enemy of competence.""If you don't know what's inside the box, you don't own the box. The box owns you."In Part 1 of the Utility Trilogy, Vulcan attacks the modern "Service Economy" mindset. We have become apathetic consumers, terrified of the friction required to fix our own lives. We discuss the "Black Box" mentality—the dangerous habit of treating technology like religion rather than a tool we master. The Challenge: Find one broken thing this week. Don't throw it away. Open it up. Struggle through it. Reclaim your skill.

The FDA is now adding a "black box warning" to Covid jabs (the most severe warning they have) because of its deadly side effects. They made pregnant women take this shot and it killed their babies. They tested the jab on children and some died. Here's what we'll be diving into on this week's show… • The Black Box Pattern HIDING in plain sight… how drugs like Cipro, birth control, breast implants, Accutane, Ozempic, Botox, and soon the COVID shots (2026 labels) were pushed without disclosure, leaving millions blindsided. • The hidden fallout no one warned you about… retroviruses switching on, mucosal damage, immune breakdown, and how CHI's work focuses on repairing the very systems these interventions harm. • The indoctrination of modern medicine… how fear frequency, trauma traps, and dependency programming (yes, "doctor" inside "indoctrinated") conditioned us to obey rather than question. • The truth about the two-snake medical symbol… what it originally meant in ancient healing and how Western medicine abandoned its sacred roots for synthetic symptom management. • How real medicine was poisoned or erased… food, herbs, nature, sunlight, and human connection stripped of their healing power and replaced with toxic, diluted, or distorted alternatives. • The CHI blueprint for reclaiming your health… the root-cause restoration methods we've used for 17 years to help people rebuild energy, immunity, beauty, hormones, and vitality from the inside out. • Why "there's a peptide or bioregulator for that"… how these tools can repair damage, optimize organs, reactivate healing pathways, and ignite a level of wellness beyond anything the pill-for-a-problem model offers. You've heard me reference the 'Top 10 Prison Bars' and if you want to get out of whatever symptoms, suffering and sickness you're in, it's vital to innerstand the main reason you got here and how to get out: MINDSET IS THE KEY: Fear frequency = trauma trap = prison programming = poison and pathology perpetuation Tomorrow I'm going live to pull the curtain back on this and show you what you can actually do about it. Does video beat audio for ROI?The industry has pivoted hard to video. It offers massive scale and new discovery opportunities. But for years, we've operated inside a measurement "black box," forcing marketers to assume that a YouTube view is worth the same as a podcast download. We now know that assumption is potentially costing brands millions. In this Media Roundtable: Special Edition, Giles Martin (EVP of Strategy & Insights, Oxford Road) welcomes Pete Birsinger (CEO & Founder, Podscribe) to reveal the results of our industry-first report, “Re-Thinking YouTube: Why Your YouTube Ads Are Converting 25% Worse Than Audio.”[LINK] After analyzing over 1,000 campaigns across 100+ brands, the data has revealed a shocking performance gap. They're talking: The Black Box, Smart Methodology, and Lean-In Audiences. Editors - Esther Sokolow, Glenn Garland ACE and Matthew V. Colonna ACE IT: Welcome to Derry editors Esther, Glenn and Matt had never worked together prior to the new HBO series, but quickly formed a family bond that translated into a fun and creative cutting room. Their antics included scaring unsuspecting tourists taking the Warner Brothers tram tour past their offices. And you know what Jack Torrance says about "all work and no play"! Developed by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti and Jason Fuchs, It: Welcome to Derry is based on Stephen King's 1986 novel It and is a prequel to the films It (2017) and It: Chapter Two (2019). The series takes place in 1962, when a couple and their son move to Derry, Maine just as a young boy disappears. With their arrival, bad things begin to happen in the town. Again. ESTHER SOKOLOW Esther Sokolow is a Los Angeles-based editor who specializes in genre-rich storytelling, bold characters, and projects with cinematic scope. Esther's collaboration with IT: Welcome to Derry showrunner Andy Muschietti began on IT: Chapter Two, where she served as 1st Assistant Editor, and continued on The Flash, where she was promoted to Additional Editor. Her work bridges studio tentpoles and independent character dramas, with a focus on horror, psychological thrillers, and supernatural themes. Her early film diet of Hitchcock, classic mysteries, and silent comedies provided provided inspiration for an editor drawn to tension, timing, and the emotional weight of what's unspoken. Later, the spectacle of The Lord of the Rings sparked a love for scale and the thrill of stories that move an audience. Originally from Atlanta, she moved to California to study Film Editing at Chapman University. In 2015, she was selected as an honorary intern for American Cinema Editors (ACE), an experience that shaped her early career and inspired a commitment to both craft and mentorship. Esther now speaks on an annual panel for the ACE Internship Program and serves on MPEG's Apprenticeship and Growth Committee, supporting the next generation of editors and assistant editors. Before stepping into the editing chair, Esther worked as an assistant editor on feature films including Rampage, Bloodshot, The Guilty, Stronger, Fall, and Rememory. She also worked in-house as a VFX Editor at Method Studios, contributing to Guardians of the Galaxy and San Andreas. Her years supporting other editors honed more than technique; they taught her to listen to pacing, to performance, and to subtle story beats others might overlook. That same quiet attention now shapes her own work. GLENN GARLAND, ACE Glenn Garland is television and film editor with more than twenty years of experience in the entertainment industry. In addition to cutting IT: Welcome To Derry, other impressive TV credits include Poker Face, The Vampire Diaries, Preacher, Banshee, Stan Against Evil, and Altered Carbon. Glenn's equally notable feature resume includes editing Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II, the critically acclaimed King of California, The Turning, Lords Of Salem, The Devil's Rejects, Black Box and most recently Broke. In addition to editing, Glenn has produced the television series Paradise City as well as feature films 31, Jersey Bred, LX 2048, The Man Who Was Thursday and most recently, Life Is. He has also created and hosts the podcast series Editors on Editing, which can be heard on Art of the Frame. MATTHEW V. COLONNA, ACE Aside from his work on It: Welcome to Derry, Matt's work can be seen on another Stephen King-inspired series, Castle Rock, and the King-adjacent series, Locke & Key. Other notable tv shows cut by Matt include Dexter (2008-09), Narcos (2015-17) and Sugar (2024). Matt also happens to be one of the original drummers for Black Eyed Peas. How about that?! There's a narrative we've been sold all year: "Move fast and break things." But a new 100-page report from the Future of Life Institute (FLI) suggests that what we actually broke might be the brakes. This week, the "Winter 2025 AI Safety Index" dropped, and the grades are alarming. Major players like OpenAI and Anthropic are barely scraping by with "C+" averages, while others like Meta are failing entirely. The headlines are screaming about the "End of the World," but if you're a business leader, you shouldn't be worried about Skynet—you should be worried about your supply chain.I read the full audit so you don't have to. In this episode, I move past the "Doomer" vs. "Accelerationist" debate to focus on the Operational Trust Gap. We are building our organizations on top of these models, and for the first time, we have proof that the foundation might be shakier than the marketing brochures claim. The real risk isn't that AI becomes sentient tomorrow; it's that we are outsourcing our safety to vendors who are prioritizing speed over stability. I break down how to interpret these grades without panicking, including:Proof Over Promises: Why FLI stopped grading marketing claims and started grading audit logs (and why almost everyone failed). The "Transparency Trap": A low score doesn't always mean "toxic"—sometimes it just means "secret." But is a "Black Box" vendor a risk you can afford? The Ideological War: Why Meta's "F" grade is actually a philosophical standoff between Open Source freedom and Safety containment. The "Existential" Distraction: Why you should ignore the "X-Risk" section of the report and focus entirely on the "Current Harms" data (bias, hallucinations, and leaks). If you are a leader wondering if you should ban these tools or double down, I share a practical 3-step playbook to protect your organization. We cover:The Supply Chain Audit: Stop checking just the big names. You need to find the "Shadow AI" in your SaaS tools that are wrapping these D-grade models. The "Ground Truth" Check: Why a "safe" model on paper might be useless in practice, and why your employees are your actual safety layer.Strategic Decoupling: Permission to not update the minute a new model drops. Let the market beta-test the mess; you stay surgical.By the end, I hope you'll see this report not as a reason to stop innovating, but as a signal that Governance is no longer a "Nice to Have"—it's a leadership competency.⸻If this conversation helps you think more clearly about the future we're building, make sure to like, share, and subscribe. You can also support the show by buying me a coffee. And if your organization is wrestling with how to lead responsibly in the AI era, balancing performance, technology, and people, that's the work I do every day through my consulting and coaching. It's the "final battle for the soul of Hollywood." In this breaking episode, we bring back Stephen Barnett to break down the Netflix vs. Paramount war for Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD).Stephen breaks this deal down like a Hollywood movie script—literally. We cover the Backstory (Zaslav's failure), the Cast of Characters (from "nepo-baby" David Ellison in his Ferrari to the "anti-hero" David Zaslav), and the Plot Twist where Paramount gets "ghosted" on a Thursday only to launch a hostile counter-attack.We also dive into the "Monopsony" risk that has writers terrified, the "Whirling Dervish" factor of a Trump presidency, and why this deal proves that if you aren't a $500bn tech giant, you're just prey.(00:00) Stephen Barnett Returns(01:59) Battle for the Keys to the Kingdom(04:09) Backstory: Why WBD Ripped 160%(06:12) "Anti-Hero" Zaslav & "Nepo Baby" Ellison(10:30) The Plot: "Begging" Texts & Being Ghosted(16:17) The Role of Bankers(18:47) "Black Box" Fear: Advertisers vs. Netflix(21:30) The Trump Factor in M&A(23:15) Monopoly vs. Monopsony(27:47) Conclusion: Why a Big Tech Win is Scary

NBA star Tim Hardaway sparked national outrage after saying “I hate gay people” on a Miami radio show in 2007. But his views shifted by 2013, when he was the first person to sign a petition for Florida's equal marriage amendment. Today, Hardaway Sr. says his earlier remarks were “truly wrong” and that guidance from family led him to rethink his views. In his new memoir “Killer Crossover” Hardaway reflects on being canceled (before “canceled” was a word), humbling himself, and how he returned to the spotlight: “the blood, sweat, and tears that went into becoming one of the most feared guards in the game and a future Hall of Famer.” Alex Berenson reports the FDA is considering a rare black box warning for Covid mRNA shots. TV producer Marcie Hume reveals what she learned after getting “unprecedented access” to Corey Feldman for her “Corey Feldman vs. the World” documentary, available for streaming on Dec 11.
